3141  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin losing its purpose? on: August 23, 2021, 12:29:46 PM
I don't know how you've thought of that OP, bitcoin is still doing just fine when it comes to it's purpose, bitcoin's still doing what it was at first, a lot of people still use bitcoin to do transaction for products and services so I don't see how bitcoin's lose it's purpose.

The OP subject was the regulators on US which force users to do KYC on all possible exchange that they can trade Bitcoin. By that means Bitcoin is not a used as decentralized cryptocurrency anymore because regulators requires user to submit all there transaction to them for tax purposes. It is not a direct approach against decentralization but the result is still the same. The privacy on each transaction is still compromised at the end of the day. Maye this is still not happening on other country but sooner or later they will follow US once they see that there's a lot of free money flowing without a tax due to its decentralized feature.
3142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Cardano really reach 20$+ near end of year? on: August 23, 2021, 11:33:51 AM
The price 20 USD for Cardano is quite a lot in my opinion. Even the current price seems quite high to me to invest, but things are different in this market. It is quite difficult to reach even 10 dollars by the end of the year.

Yeah the current price is already a miracle. The price will suffer a big drop before the smart contract launch on September 11. There's no big deal already on smart contract because it was already use by many different blockchain project while Cardano is only at the beginning phase on introducing it. People that hyping and FOMO buying of this coin will surely suffer once whale who manipulate the market will take profit. It's better to invest on Solana or Matic rather than Cardano which is 2 years late on blockchain development. This guys focus there resources on marketing rather than blockchain research. Buying ADA tight now is just buying a knife that soon gonna stub yourself.
3143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT games players might facing problem in our country on: August 23, 2021, 10:08:01 AM
They shouldn't be happy when they got an interview because the one will suffer are those who entered late in the game and put some huge amount of capitals.
Yeah watch this too. The problem here is the decentralization set up for axie. The goverment even trying to tax something they dont even have law yet. How come they would impose such tax they dont even have regulations about it yet. Its fine to pay tax as long as they have guildelines about the crypto. Its same with trading without any rules, so Im sure this will take time or will never be implemented. Suck that  Philippines have crocodiles in the offices. These people are hungry for taxes. They obviously aiming something here.
Agree on this, They don't need to tax players directly because all of them will need an exchange to convert SLP to Fiat, Maybe create a guidelines just like what US SEC do to regulate there people. They regulate exchange which means user are forced to submit an audit and pay there taxes base on there trading value. I notice that the issue is from Philippines which is very slow to create a guidelines. Politicians are very busy on self interest that's all the laws created is just for there own self benefits. I don't see any alarming effect of this if its came from Philippines government. LMAO

3145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Podcast on: August 23, 2021, 06:47:16 AM
You can google by yourself. I did a little research and found that many videos explain about gambling addiction but I do not check one by one and only use page 1 from Google to open the videos. I use the keyword term "podcast about gambling addiction" and get tons of video and you can use that keyword term in Youtube directly.

Here is the list I've found:
https://blog.feedspot.com/gambling_addiction_podcasts/
https://player.fm/podcasts/gambling-addiction
https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/all-in-the-addicted-gamblers-podcast/id956747473
https://open.spotify.com/show/24kJMNTecEAfHBHaVHF8KM

This is a good source, but when it comes to curing gambling addiction it should be one on one between the gambler and his physician, those podcasts can help a gambler decide if he really needs help, it's a step that he can take to check if he has the personality of a chronic gambler but when it comes to curing a chronic gambler it should be personalized and customized therapy, one set of therapy can be good to one patient but not to all patients.

I believe on a face to face treatment because this kind of addiction can be do anytime since there's already a lot of online casino available. A gambling addict needs a friend or family to assist him on crucial time and it can't be treated by listening an online podcast alone. But there's also some exception base on the level of addiction. Not serious gambling can be treat by some inspirational message from podcast or friends as long as the person still have control on his gambling activities. I'm guilty on this but I already overcome and control this addiction after some life reflection that I do and think about my family future. So far, I never do excessive gambling and just do a occasional bet when some of my favorite athlete or team has a game.
3146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel wiser after you play online crypto gambling? on: August 23, 2021, 05:18:00 AM
it depends on what type of gambling you are playing. Poker and Blackjack will really improve your critical thinking because it requires a good judgement and statistics to have an advantage to win the game, But if you are just playing slots, dice, craps and other game that erquires you to click bet wait for the result. I think there will be no difference on your intellectual capacity besides stress it will give whenever you loss.
3147  Economy / Gambling / Re: [CLOSED] ★BetBTC★ Sportsbook | Bitcoin Sports Betting | Since 2014 on: August 22, 2021, 02:44:34 PM
It's sad to see one the oldest and trusted casino that I know since I'm new here will gonna end there journey on a bullish market. But its good to see that you are doing a proper farewell to all your customer despite this is Bitcoin sports betting and most of the Casino in your era was already runaway without notice and steal user funds. I hope a good luck on your future endeavours.
3148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of cryptocurrencies are fraudulent on: August 22, 2021, 11:39:47 AM
In a recent speech at the annual PNWER meeting held in Montana, Neil Kashkari, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, sharply criticized cryptocurrencies, stating that "95 percent of cryptocurrencies are fraud, deceptive advertising and noise," and he also said he had a more positive view of cryptocurrencies in 2015. Kashkari also referred to the large number of altcoins and called them "garbage coins."

yes, this is a known fact. but as long as people are greedy there will always be scammers in the market. Because they promise big profits and there is demand for it.

Most of the garbage coin won't promise about big profit but a too good to be true goal for the project. The holder is the one who vision and speculate about huge profit buy using that fake goal of some project. Cardano is one of them, An old blockchain project with an over value coin while they have zero product until now. They are just good on marketing that's why a simple contract contract which many blockchain already has pump there multi billion coin to 2.5$ each and more.

Investors is the one who speculate about the huge price they can gain. Cardano is the best exame for this one.
3149  Other / Meta / Re: My brother wants to open bitcointalk account on: August 22, 2021, 04:42:04 AM
As far as I know, there won't be any problem really if he joins the forum, because many a times not only on private but there are people who join with public WiFi so technically they also all have same IP addresses etc. But I think problem might occur if he joins campaigns the same that you join, that might raise some eyebrows because very well, people have been caught using their alts to participate in campaigns to make more money. So that's prohibited. Hope you find an exact answer by someone who knows better Smiley

IP is not the basis of cheater detective here because there's always an instance that a user will have same  IP when they use free VPN. The common evidence of alt account cheating was same wallet address for different account that participate bounty campaign or sending the funds at the same time to a similar wallet address. The IP doesn't matter because it will not lead to account connection, Besides only moderators has an access to our IP and they are not gonna share this in public for user privacy.
3150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 22, 2021, 03:16:20 AM
Looks like it's too late to place bet now? I looked at different sports betting website but most of the market is closed in regards with this match I thought I would be able to catch up since the main event is not yet starting. I guess I'll just watch it, Thanks for the users who give free streaming to this match.

Most of them opens the bet 24hr before the match but there is some casino that offers a live betting once the actual game start. Sportsbet, FortuneJack and Cloudbet is the 3 casino I know and played that offer this kind of bet, You can check too Stake.com but you should wait when the game to start before they open the betting again.
3151  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which was your worst crypto trading decision? on: August 21, 2021, 01:48:53 PM
Taking profit at the right time. This is my kryptonite and most probably most the newbie trader because the euphoria given by price pumping will give you the feeling of not selling at any point of the bull run instead you will realize the need of selling once you are already awake that crypto price that you are holding is losing. Its always easy to sell at loss rather than at profit because of FOMO. Do you guys feel this way when trading?

The link backed by link (Not Bitcointalk.org)

Link user : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2557732

Just curious to know how does this scam is being done and how does it impersonate another User ?

Does it take you to outside forum ?

You will be redirected to a phishing website that looks like forum and it will show that you are logout, Normally you will re-login again quickly because you are viewing the link that user sends you. I never click the link since it will remain on my browser and I might click it accidentally. But the method of the scammer is really tricky, You might get caught by the hacker if you didn't view the link once you already click it.

Placing a x100 leverage on Bitcoin worth 0.5BTC and loss it in just a minute. I'm new on leverage trading that time and I never thought that there is only a small margin for liquidation from my entry price. After that, I never do high leverage trading and set my maximum leverage to x5.  Grin

3154  Economy / Gambling / Re: NASCRASH - First Ever Dual Bust Crash Game on: August 21, 2021, 12:58:28 AM

FAQ section is really important especially if the site is a new one.
Should include deposit method, min/max deposit as well as min/max withdrawal, the fees involved.
And honestly, upon visiting the site, the site is simple but most casinos that went down do have this simple interface.
If you want to try the site, better use small funds, as they haven't built their credibility yet.
Thanks for the tip. I would not deposit even if it is a small funds until someone already done it before I will deposit a small fund to try out the site. FAQs and TOCs are also important for their customers when they have questions and  they don't have to question the team by going to the customer support since there is an FAQ that some answers are answered already. All the customers need are confirmation from the team. As of now, I don't have plan to deposit and I am still waiting for others if there is someone who tried it.

The game is still under development so you might encounter bugs when you play using money that's why the casino is just giving away a sign up bonus to test first the functionality when subjected to actual traffic. I agree that there's a luck of info on the site especially the guidelines on both game and legalities. Its still not safe to deposit LTC right now.
3155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What really influenced you to gambling on: August 20, 2021, 04:40:51 PM
No one influence but having lack of money during my childhood really push me to gamble my small allowance just to buy what I want. I believe no one will encourage you unless you will show a sign to other people that you like gambling. For example is my uncle who's addicted to gambling, he never encouraged me gamble because he didn't know that I'm gambling but when he knows already that I'm gambling, He is the one who always inviting me to play to the casino.

3156  Economy / Gambling / Re: NASCRASH - Grand Opening 5,000 Nitro Signup Bonus no deposit required on: August 20, 2021, 02:49:41 PM
We implemented a 5,000 Nitro signup bonus on NASCRASH if anyone wants to give it a try, no deposit is required.

We have also made improvements to the mobile UI.  FAQs section to follow next.

https://nascrash.com

Thank you for this bonus, I really enjoy the game but I do suggest to synchronize the multiplier count base on the distance of the car so that your visual is accurate. For me it is ok that the leading car have high multiplier even though they are still both running so that user can really feel that the 2 cars really running and not just wait for other to bust so that it will have a lead. This is a new crash game concept and I know there's a lot of improvement for the game. Wishing you a good fortune on your casino.
3157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Strategies changes with time on: August 20, 2021, 02:06:55 PM
That depends, most strategies in trading will work no matter how old it is, I think the market is the only one that changes, we just don't perceive it that way so we think that as the market changes, we thought that the strategies change too.

Some of the old strategy might work but not all, The old strategy was intended for currency or stocks that has a low volatility unlike Bitcoin which is prone to manipulation and easy to price swing. Many traders even professional is having a hard time on crypto trading because there's only few big player playing on it which means anyone that a huge stock can manipulate the price regardless on what is the chart showing. Having an unregulated exchange is giving a hard time to trust if crypto is really a manipulation free because no one knows if exchange itself is the one who dictating the price since they are the first one who will get the news of listings and other info that might control the market.
3158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Wagerr - No limit, non-custodial betting on: August 20, 2021, 08:48:49 AM
What open source blockchain you get and what's the current TPS that your blockchain can handle? I remember your project on the first altcoin season and I invest on your ICO that time but as market plummet, I decided to flip my coin to cut-loss but at that time, I thought you are just developing a casino and not your own blockchain that will run your decentralized casino. Developing blockchain and dapps inside at the same time is too hard to execute and maintain unless you have a lot of work force in your team plus you target TPS is below average. Am I correct or you are just using existing blockchain on your casino and focus on Casino development?
3159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Paralympic Games? Ethical or not? on: August 20, 2021, 06:57:13 AM
Trying to remove them from gambling sites only shows them that people pity on them, I don't see any problems to it they just get the same treatment just like the normal athletes. Well some people may find it unethical but we have different perspective and I think if you remove their events in gambling site or you didn't include them they will assume that either you pity them or you don't accept them and consider what they are doing as a sport.
Exactly my point. These people wouldn't to be pitied on, they needed to be understood and accepted to the society like our own because they are still our kin anyway. It wouldn't be fair for them to be treated differently or even better than normal humans except in times that they would require these types of support and assistance. Gambling on them would be the least of our worries if we come to find out how brutal and devastating the discrimination against differently-abled people are.

The problem was how the general public will view this particular issue. People on this generation is too sensitive on any issue about equality and other matters that is not usual. I understand the point that they are both player so we should treat as same but we are talking about involving them to Gambling activities which is not usual. No matter what we do, People with disability is special and they will be view as normal so people that will see them using on gambling activities will obviously gonna react since gambling is always subjected to bad reputation in general for normal people that don't gamble.
3160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mobile phone vs. laptop vs. tab...what's your preferred device for day trading? on: August 19, 2021, 02:45:26 PM
You forgot to add PC, it's much better than all of them because it has wider screens so you can do more activities and it doesn't heat up like crazy like a laptop and it can even be reduced when you put coolant and stuff. Another reason why PC is better is even the lowest in the market currently can be used compared to a laptop.

You can classify PC as laptop since the function and feature is same except for its portability. Trading is better on PC/Laptop because you can clearly see the pattern on charts with a bigger screen unlike phone or tablet. You can setup multiple indicators and change it easily via PC but it doesn't mean that mobile and tablet is not good on day trading. It depends on the situation because you do a good TA too on mobile or tab because you can both use the chart and function on both devices. You just need patience to do it properly.
