3141  Economy / Economics / Re: ECB Is Now Preparing All Banks For The Economic Collapse on: April 23, 2018, 04:48:36 PM
Really? You gave us a link for a blogspot website as a source? And even if the site is unreliable I still visited it and what comes next is a link to this video a youtuber who is also an unreliable source, when you look at his channel you will see the same negative kinds of video saying the the market will be going dark, recession is coming, U.S. Is Now In The Final Stages Of Having Its Society Closed Down. You see his videos are built from negative sentiments and it is mostly opinionated he can't even mention where is he getting his sources from. I mean look at his channel all of his "news" are negative. This guy doesn't really look optimistic in anything he is bringing to his channel.
3142  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How do you keep your mnemonic phrases? on: April 23, 2018, 02:28:46 PM
Has anybody here think of jumbling the position of certain phrases as a good idea? If you are thinking of keeping your seed in your closet or drawer then this might be a good idea even if someone obtained your seed they won't be able to access your wallet as it is all jumbled up.

For example:
You will write and switch the 12th word and the 1st word's position
You will write and switch the 6th word in the the 3rd word's position

Or for your own liking you can switch the words between the words you want to switch, the tricky part here is on how you will remember their positions. Because even I myself won't trust remembering their positions mentally, writing their positions somewhere might also work, you can even right their positions online as long as you keep the whole seed to yourself.
3143  Other / Meta / Re: Solution to stop Newbie-Jr.Member spamming on: April 22, 2018, 06:22:41 PM
Why did you include DT members as post-reviewers too? I mean they are only trusted through successful transactions and not the quality of posts they are doing or even how good they are at judging other people's posts, only a few default trust members are tagging spammy posters, merit sellers/buyers, and merit abusers and I don't think that what you are proposing it necessary for BCT because the merits system in the long run will eliminate this shit posters, they would voluntary stop posting as soon as they see that all of their spammy post are not getting any merits. This would become more effective if all of the members who have multiple accounts will run out of sMerits to give to their low ranking alts.

Also with this kind of system we are not allowing the low ranking members to improve their post, not publishing their post straightaway won't let them improve on anything, assuming that they are still not receiving any merits from their posts they will try and try to improve their post in order to get the merit they are always wanting to receive.
3144  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-20] Bitcoin Pyramid Scheme Amassed $20 Million In South Korea on: April 22, 2018, 04:37:25 PM
Apparently the one who owes the higher fine which is 15 million dollars is also the one who operates a pyramid scheme in the Philippines based on this article. These two individuals are lucky that they are only paying fines as a penalty for their illegal act. These kind of people are thieves who are preying on the weak and I do believe they need to face a heavier punishment like 10-20 years in prison as they have stolen 20 million dollars from the Koreans. If this kinds of crimes are only facing fines as punishment then this criminals would still be out in the streets. If their country wants to learn from this they must change their punishments to a harsher one and also think of new enforcement in order to prevent this kind of crimes.
3145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 22, 2018, 03:31:54 PM
Big consolationfor the Minnesota Timberwolves to get a win in the on going series. Their first win in 14 year drought. This is an uphill battle for them since the Rockets is very strong team now.

The game was decided in the second half (especially during the 3rd Qtr). This win will be a morale-booster for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and hopefully they can get another win in their next match (on 26th April, if I am not wrong).
Consolation? What consolation are you talking about? The Timberwolves are a scary team to be matched with even if they are the 8th seed team in the West (All of that because Butler missed a considerable amount of games) they are a pretty strong team and they can beat even the number 1 team. We now saw that during their first playoff home game after several years. Wiggins in the series is showing off that he is a different player because of the playoff atmosphere, while Towns is still getting the grip of being comfortable in a playoff game, he showed a great performance during Game 3.
3146  Economy / Economics / Re: Why FED like bitcoin on: April 22, 2018, 02:21:33 PM
But why will the reserve bank lend there money to people to buy Bitcoin instead of giving it to the government to build projects? For all I know even if you lend the money to people who will buy Bitcoin will there be any guarantee that their will be any return to you? Bitcoin is a volatile currency and there is no assurance that people who you have lent money will earn from the market. The end result will be a more unstable economy, unemployment rate is up, and poverty rate as well will rise. I think OP is thinking that investing in Bitcoin is a magic pill to end the poverty in their country. Also are you not even thinking of the consequence of printing 1 Trillion Dollars to your economy just for the sake of lending it? The U.S.A will basically be devaluing their own money in the global market.
3147  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Indian crypto currency exchange takes Central Bank to court against recent ban on: April 21, 2018, 10:56:57 AM
They can use articles in their constitution as their legal standing but so as the RBI can use other articles it their constitution as defense. Obviously this will always go down on how the judge will translate their own constitution. Like what I said RBI will also use the constitution and if their argumet is better than what a business is praying for then they might side with their own reserve bank.

RBI will most likely use a defense structured in topics like :
  • Indian Rupee is the only official currency of India
  • Crytpcurrency is being used for criminal activities therefore it is a threat to national security
  • It will hinder our economy
3148  Economy / Gambling / Re: 0% Edge, 1st Bitcoin Blockchain Based Game [Non profit project] on: April 21, 2018, 09:11:49 AM
How our Project is Funded ? : winners can donate us, on there will
So is this your only way of funding your game? If so then you don't have a reliable and secure way of providing money for potential winners. It will solely rely on the decision of the winners on donating something to your game. Like what the others said you must provide evidence that your game has initial funds, even though your game is a winner takes all game and you don't actually need to provide/contribute any money it shows that you are well compensated to give their money back if something goes wrong. For now your site looks like a bunch of addresses waiting for money to come.
3149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Technology involvements in Top companies on: April 21, 2018, 07:45:30 AM
I think they are doing the same kind of security/technology (they are only improving it) even before the creation of Blockchain, the technology only became popular because of Bitcoin and ever since it is called Blockchain. This multi-billion dollar companies have their own variations on how they keep and connect their records and transactions, with the creation of Blockchain it only has modify or improve whatever they are doing right now. Of course after all they need this kind of technology not only because of security but also transparency to others which will be needed if they will have a problem legally.
3150  Economy / Speculation / Re: why did the price of bitcoin and other crypto increased so fast in value under 3 on: April 21, 2018, 06:08:00 AM
After several bearish formations being cancelled like the Head and Shoulder and Inverse Cup and Handle the Bulls decided to take control and it can be translated to the Bulls are not letting the Bears take control of the price movement anymore and they did, with this price breakout we saw that Bitcoin wants to be on the bullish side again, staying too long in the 6,000$ price range we see that Bitcoin does not want to go lower than 6,500$. The massive buy up shows that the Bull got tired of playing games.

Note:
  • Even though we are seeing BTC above 8,000$ it doesn't mean we are now on a up trend, it is just that in the short term it looks Bullish.
  • BTC to be on a uptrend need to break the 9,500$ resistance level and must quickly re-test 10,000$
  • This is not a bull trap as clearly the volume and RSI is on the bullish side
3151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as new hope for humanity on: April 21, 2018, 04:33:07 AM
Bitcoin is not just a life saver but also a life changer. Before, I don't know anything about investment. I'm just a minimum wage earner and my salary is most of the time insufficient to my needs. My family is struggling financially. When Bitcoin was introduced to my life, everything changed. At first, I invested a very little portion of my salary to HYIP and gambling hoping that my life will change instantly as what those sites promised me but I was scammed multiple times. It was devastating so I decided to stop investing on Bitcoin. After a few months, I saw some posts on social media on how Bitcoin changed a person's life so I decided to give it another try but this time, I will make sure to invest in myself first and study more about cryptocurrency. I learned about this forum and from here, I learned more things about Bitcoin specially on trading and investments. Now, I cannot say that I'm completely financially free but I can say that I'm already earning more than enough for me and my family's needs.
Well that is the wrong thing to start "investing" in the first place. You cannot call the money you are putting on sites like HYIP or gambling as investing because the risk involve is definitely higher, in HYIP sites you don't know when you they will run away with your money and in gambling you obviously "bet" your money and not "invest" it. The closes thing you can do in investing with Bitcoin is of course trading Altcoins and you will later on exchange it back to Bitcoin hoping that you have increase your position.

Trust me when I say that this investment schemes don't really pay off they really don't care if you earn something as long as they get the bigger cut off what they are giving, the crumbs your are receiving are nothing to what they are earning.
3152  Other / Meta / Re: Simple improvement for the report function on: April 19, 2018, 08:47:23 PM
Do you want to see some kind of queuing system? Where if you click the "report to moderator" button you will be transferred to a page where you can report new posts and will see all your reported posts queued in a list which after the moderator has reviewed the post it can go to either the accepted reported post or denied reported posts. With this system you will see what posts have you reported as well as what of  your reported post is accepted or denied.

It will be more detailed compared to your Merit Received and Merit Sent History as it involve 3 lists and also has the report the current post option. Having the history of all your reported posts is a nice addition to the function. I think this will be a sufficient solution to avoid reporting the same post again.
3153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit $25k in 2018? on: April 19, 2018, 07:44:28 PM
Of course there is nothing wrong to predict as long as it has factual basis. We always see these kinds of analysts say "we haven't expected this price last year so we ca expect this kind of price this year", "this is not the ceiling of Bitcoin", "Bitcoin is Gold 2.0", "Billionaires are shifting their money to Bitcoin" all of them sweetening there words (more like opinion) to make their prediction look realistic or professional. After all even if they are wrong nothing happens to them but if the number they throw in is correct or somehow close it boost their reputation and will most likely throw in a more wilder number.  My advice is before you believe plan your trade as there is nothing wrong on having a personal opinion on your own.
3154  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin x banks on: April 19, 2018, 05:52:21 PM
So what is the effect you are talking about? Because if you are talking about a negative effect I don't see one on Youtube to telivisions. T.V.s still has a lot to offer from good shows you won't watch in youtube like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, yes Youtube channels can review episodes of shows but they can never shor the full content of the show. Both of them offer different kinds of content as they are protected by copyright laws which Youtube strictly follows. Yes Youtube has a lot of visitors but TV channels are affected by their video streams.

So here we are linking Banks to Bitcoin again. Banks are not scared of Bitcoin and if they are not accepting deposits coming from Exchanges it is because of regulation filed by their government, it is not their own decision. Banks main way of earning is Lending money and storing your money is just a part of their business. As long as someone needs a loan from them they won't be threaten from Bitcoin.

Just about decentralizing content: now you can make videos and have people watching then, you can make money, marketing , and all these sorts of thing without being on TV.  Youtube is established.

So what you are saying is that there is no point on advertising on tv channels now because there is Youtube. If that line of thinking is correct then why are there still commercials being shown in televisions? Why are there still advertisements being shown within the show? Why are they even airing something in the first place? It is because even if you can show your ads in youtube there are still other target audience out there that are watching programs in a television also there are older age group where they prefer watching there tv sets rather than streaming something in their phone or tablet.

With Bitcoin you can trade without a bank. Bitcoin is not established as yt is.
Uhmm You ca even trade in the stock exchange without a bank, you only need one if you are either funding or withdrawing your money from a broker. Just like some cryptocurrecy exchange where they have an option to wire transfer your money to your bank account.

3156  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time To Buy BTC: Bitcoin Market Right Now On A Buy Signal Suggests Dan Morehead on: April 19, 2018, 06:40:02 AM
I wouldn't go in that way. Some people here when they see a person with a title of "CEO", "CFO", "Financial Adviser" or other influencial people predicting make them believe that there prediction is right, they are also blindsided when they hear what they want to hear. We still need to do our own chart analysis before saying what Morehead is right.

Right now BTC has cancelled the H&S pattern when it rose back up again from 7,700$. But BTC not going down is not done yet as there is still a possibility that it is completing a rising wedge pattern which is a sign for a bearish reversal. If BTC hits 8,800$ - 8,900$ and falls down then it is a confirmation that BTC might fall down below 7,000$ again. This might be a good time to prepare for a short before we can see BTC to go up for good this time.
3157  Other / Meta / Re: Report Sufficiently Answered Topic(s) to Lock on: April 18, 2018, 04:04:12 PM
If there are still mega-threads existing I think adding more moderators on sections where there is a lot of mega threads can be a solution, the clean-up can be faster and I think they will be more responsive with your request. Also I think it is a good idea to change the "Report to Moderator" function to handle more than "abusive or wrongly posted message" as I think it would be more appropriate rather than sending a personal message to one of the mods. If they changed the Report to Moderator" function where you can ask for lock-request on sufficiently answered threads then it would be a great help on their part of cleaning up the forum.
3158  Economy / Gambling / Re: Diceum.com | Faucet | Invest | Affiliates | 10+ currencies on: April 18, 2018, 01:23:21 PM
1.5 BTC wagered during the first week of diceum.com!

So the number of the wagered amount is the same with the number of winning? As I can see on the main page, the number of last week won is 1.5xx BTC. Is that a real stats or just a fake stats, as there is another new site which is faking their stats. I do not mean to judge/accuse that you are doing the same, but looking at the last bets which is full of low amount bets then I do not think you have paid 1.5btc.
Under the investment page, I see that the wagered amount is 0.1205btc only. How could it be different with your post?
I also do not see some common info on your site such as "my bets", "highroller", and faucet. One more thing, the right and left area from the "LAST BETS" is clickable which is a bit annoying while it does not move anymore or give nothing except refreshing the last bets info.
You should have screenshoted it, as I think they have removed the total wagered BTC in the main page. Also seeing the same thing on their total wagered amount at 0.12049389BTC even if you add the other cryptocurrencies it won't total into 1.5BTC which is a common sign that the website is faking their stats. They must have done it in order to look like they have a successful launching of the site which is a wrong thing to do in order to promote a website. Please Diceum give us an explanation to your actions.
3159  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: It is NOT secure to use hardware wallets (and it never was) on: April 18, 2018, 08:43:50 AM
So if hardware wallets are not safe then it is kinda useless to invest in one right now? If the point of this article is to make people aware of the dangers of using hardware wallets it just made them insecure. If the article is correct any retailer or seller (or even one of their employees) of  a hardware wallet can install a custom firmware before they even put it up to the shelves, yes I know they have stickers and security seals on their boxes but all of it can be easily tampered by a professional.

Maybe hardware wallet makers need to take it on to the next level of security like having a software where it can detect if your hardware wallets are compromised or not. In this way even if they had accessed your wallet you will know if your wallet was touched or not. But in my own personal opinion I would still want a hardware wallet where it is not always connected to the internet or to my desktop, my Bitcoin is more vulnerable out there.
3160  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-18] Bitcoiner Runs for Mayor of Taiwan’s Capital on: April 18, 2018, 06:23:41 AM
If she is really looking for a change in their country's views about cryptocurrency then she must run for a senate position instead where she can focus on policy/law making in the country. The best thing she can do as mayor is only to improve the position of crypto within her city (if she won). Not unless this is her strategy on crawling her way up to a senatorial position this move won't have a considerable effect on the country.

Also is the situation of cryptocurrecy in Taiwan really that bad? Last time my friend visited Guanghua Digital Plaza in Taipei he said that they are accepting major credit cards and some shops also accept cryptocurrencies. So looking at it, it is looking like a propaganda for her part and I don't think it is looking good for her. So if her campaign is focused on "blockchain technology" I don't think it would sway votes on her side as the citizens of Taipei may look for other candidates instead.
