I feel exactly the same. Ok, I accept that PSG have a much better squad than maybe all of the other teams in the league. But it doesn't mean that they will dominate the league forever. Teamplay is the most important thing for every clubs. If a team give importance to teamplay more than any other thing, their chance for the championship will be higher than their opponents. And it looks like Lille are doing a great job. It's not easy to beat PSG away in the end. If they maintain their good performance, we could see a different champion after years (I hope  ). PSG spends a lot of money. There are very few clubs that spend that much money. PSG has the strongest forward lineup of Ligue 1. Strong team, very good management and so PSG is consistently winning the title every year. PSG was at the top of the points table last season. They did 68 points, second place Marseille was 12 points behind them. In the 2018-19 season, PSG had 91 points and second-placed LIlle was 16 points behind. Lille is well ahead so far this season. It's always very difficult to assess the balance of power in the final laps. The teams are not in the quarter-finals just because of luck, they have already shown performance. It will certainly depend on the form of the day in the next two games.
Also Ajax and Roma will play each other, and only one team will be left. Villareal will be playing Zagreb and both of those teams do not look like they will be capable of winning the title if you ask me, only team left is Arsenal and we all know they are not that great this year if you look at premier league, even if they came this far, it still means they may not end up winning. Long story short I believe it's quite possible that we may end up with United at the finals against a weaker team. I am not saying they are guaranteed, but Ajax and Roma could have faced Zagreb and Villareal each and that would have been harder for United, this way they are already eliminated each other, which is why Uniteds job became easier if you ask me. That's why I think it's quite clear that if we do see United winning it this year it will not be a shock to anyone. It wouldn't be a shock for people seeing Manchester Utd winning the title of course as they are one of the biggest favourites in the tournament. I have also a feeling like we could see a final game between Arsenal and Manchester Utd. It would be very delightful to watch certainly. @ILuckyGuyI I don’t know how serious are Manchester United about winning this league, because they have almost secured their champions league spot, and hence I worry that they won’t be motivated enough to win it. Also Arsenal form is patchy this season hence I don’t expect them to make it to the finals. It is true. If Manchester Utd would be having a bad season in the EPL, they could have given a big importance on here. But now, they may not show their best performance. But Arsenal have a really low chance to qualify for any tournament considering their place in the table. So, they may want to focus really much on the EL and win the title. Arsenal will try to win the title, the winner is definitely qualified for the Champions League. But I don't think that Arsenal are strong enough for the title, but tomorrow we'll see how the different teams play. IPL 2021 starts tomorrow, and fortunately the opening match is supposed to take place in Chennai. The situation in Mumbai is getting worse with every passing day, and I heard that Bangalore is also in very bad condition. BCCI should consider the possibility of scheduling the entire tournament in Chennai. The city has enough first-class cricket grounds to host all the games. If needed, some of the matches can be played at Hyderabad as well.

Pakistani truly deserve this won as great team effort today. A lot of positive things happen in this ODI series, congratulations Pakistan won the series 2-1 and the way they have played in all the three games. South Africa tried to settle but at the end has been comfortably beaten. Unfortunately Babar missed his hundred.
Agreed. There were a few negatives, such as over-dependance on Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman in the batting department and the poor performance of the middle order, but overall the team performed really well. South Africa is no longer considered as one of the top teams in international cricket, but it can be quite tough to beat them when they have the home advantage. Credit should also be given to the Pakistani pace bowlers, for their exceptional performance. @bryant.coleman South Africa looks like a side that has left it glory days behind it, and if they do not make efforts to solve their issues then I fear that they’ll never be able to play and win like they used to do in the past. You think boring, you ever see Formula1 Yes Ducati are very fast and have the strongest engine, but i don't unterstand what's wrong with Petronas Yamaha and KTM? F1 with the tire strategies to me is more interesting, anything can happen even with a safety car. In the last years MotoGP is quite boring to see, often wins who manage better the tires, they can't even push or they will have no tires to finish the race, this is not racing from my point of view. That is a matter of opinion, there are no more overtaking maneuvers in Formula 1 and actually only 2 teams can win. In Formula 1 I would be introducing refueling again, then the tires could also be made a little better again, in Formula 1 everything revolves around the tire management. 10 riders and all manufacturers except Aprilia can win at MotoGP. A very late goal for Manchester City gave them the win but Borussia Dortmund have an away goal. I am going for Borussia Dortmund to win the second leg and qualify for the semi-finals. I think Real Madrid will beat Liverpool again. Sadly both English teams might be out before getting to the semi-finals. Real Sociedas has a chance today to get close to Sevilla if Sevilla fails against Atlético Madrid.
Not so close though, Sevila are ahead of Real Sociedad with ten points, so even if it happens that Sevilla loses and they win, the lead will still be at seven points, though it's recoverable, but it's going to be pretty difficult to do, cause Real Sociedad themselves would still drop points from now till the end of the season, fourth position imo is already Sevilla's. @Coyster I don’t know why but I feel that Atletico will lose this game, because whenever they’re under pressure they don’t perform well. Tomorrow is a big day for PSG and Lille also, yes. We will watch the top 2 teams clashing against each other for getting 3 points ahead of the other. PSG seem like they are the advantageous side as they have a better performance recently and they are also the home team. But Lille could be the toughest opponent for them in the league now. I don't expect a similar result to the match vs Lyon. I think that both teams will score goals and PSG may become victorious by 1 goal. @Spack17 this is one of the most entertaining fixture for this weekend, because the both teams will attack each other and whoever scores that early goal will have an psychological advantage over the other team. This is turning into a interesting match as now the WI are in full control and its there match to win as SL won't be able to chase down 377. I thought the WI have played well to at least try and get a win here by declaring early on and making SL bat late on day 4, now SL will need to survive the whole day on a day 5 pitch. It will be an exciting end to the match, its a shame that its not on T.V here but I'll see if I can watch it on a stream.
IMO, West Indies delayed the declaration by some 10 overs and it may prove costly to them. On the 4th day, the West Indies bowlers got just 9 overs against the Sri Lankan batsmen. If they got some 15-20 overs, then in all probability they could have at least taken a couple of wickets and the game would have been in their control. In particular, Kraigg Brathwaite was very slow in scoring the runs. They had enough wickets in hand, so it makes no sense to bat in such a slow manner. @vella85 WI did play well but sadly it looks like we’re going to see this match end up in a draw as it’s raining out there. Furthermore even if rains stop then too I doubt that WI will be able to take all the 10 wickets, hence for me this match will end in a draw. ~ Yes. They get paid the full amount (as per the contract), even if they don't get selected for even a single match. But the condition is that they should be "available for selection". If someone is injured, or unavailable due to some other reason (similar to what happened to Suresh Raina in IPL 2020), then they need to forfeit the salary. So for players such as Tahir, it means that they may get money for not doing much work. That is awesome to get picked by any team in the IPL throwing insane amount of money and with the restrictions of only 4 foreign players allowed in a team the rest of the players will be earning the money even without playing and the only problem i see is that they get rusty if they are not getting match practice and especially with retired players they will not last longer if they are warning the bench most of the time. There should be some sort of player rotation. We have seen a lot of injury issues in the IPL, partly due to very high workload. The teams tend to include their star performers for consecutive matches without any rest, because every match is important. And it's not just the overseas players who struggle to get opportunity. In percentagewise, the Indian players get even chances. Out of the 8 overseas players, 4 can be included in the playing XI (50%). But the same for Indian players is less than that (7 out of 17 players). @Sithara007 playing constant cricket is a small price you pay for participating in IPL, and that’s why these player’s are heavily compensated. The qualification series is still a long time before the World Cup. I don't think there are any more games this week and we have to wait until September to bet on the site again. I saw that there is already a wide range for all other sports these days, so we do not have to get bored easily. I still find those virtual games a bit difficult, I never know when I should bet on something. In my opinion, the luck factor is too great because you are purely dependent on simulation of computers.
There are some players who prefer to place bets on virtual games. The big advantage that you have 24/7 action, and the games are ending very fast, means that you have very fast the result of your bet. I could imagine it is excited for some people. @Cacingkemi I don’t think that there’s a very big market for virtual games, because even though they’re interesting I believe that they cannot beat traditional games and sports games. Also personally I never really fancied the idea of wagering in a virtual game, and if someone has a guide then do post here as I’m keen to study how it works in comparison to traditional games. |
