Lille win away at PSG ground was a big statement in the french league title race; one that means Lille only needs to stay competitive and win their remaining matches if they want to win the French league this season; The big question mark though is that, does PSG regret the sack of Thomas Tuchel? is Maurio Pochetino simply not good enough for the PSG Job?

Lille are now 3 points clear at the top, while Monaco win at home to move to the second position. The title race is on between PSG, Lille, Lyon and Monaco; who wins ?

Lille's away victory against PSG is proof that they deserve to win the Ligue 1 trophy this season. Although it is still too early to conclude that Lille
will become champions this season, because the difference in the points of the Big Four team is not too far away. And the match still has 7 matches
left, so anything can happen. After all, if you see Lille's last 5 matches are very inconsistent, only able to win twice. So it is still very difficult to
determine who is the winner of the Ligue 1 trophy this season.

Lille has a great chance to win the title this season. They will play only 7 matches. If they don't make a big mistake, they will win this Moram title. I would not be so sure. Lille is losing points at home very often lately. And the pressure on them will increase with every match. Besides PSG, there is also Monaco. The difference is only 3-4 points. One lost match and that's it.

After few years first time we have very tight situation in French League as 4 teams fighting hard for title after today result PSG is suffering very badly and Lille is in good situation. If Lyon win his match than they can jump on third spot which is not bad at all as Monaco will slip to fourth hopefully next rounds will bring some more entertaining games for this Covid-19 hit season.

It was a really unexpected result for me that Lille managed to win this 1-0 away. PSG actually had much more goal chances but they were so clumsy that they couldn't score any. Lille are the leader again now with 66 points and they will end this week as 3 points ahead of their closest opponent.

I believe Lyon and Lens makes sense, sure Lyon had a fighters chance back in the day and that is why people were shocked but Lens is 5th in the league, even though they are 12 points behind that is still a decent spot, just one under Lyon even with that point difference. If Lyon won that game they would have been tied with PSG and that would be a big game for them, maybe even create a chance to win the league in the future, but I was pretty sure they would flop somewhere the way they look.

Lille versus PSG looked reasonable though, yeah sure PSG is a great team and they look like they may even win the champions league if they can manage to beat Bayern, but that doesn't mean that they will be the same team every single game, sometimes you are not as good as you can be whereas Lille has a lot less games and obviously they took this game a lot more seriously.

Winning against Bayern will not be easy at all. Bayern is a very strong team. And the important thing is that Bayern Munich is very stable and they can maintain the continuity of their performance, But PSG often fails to maintain the continuity of their own performance. Lille was at top nearly, and that is good enough to say that they could beat PSG, I mean I get that people think they are so good but Lille has proven time and time again how great they are. This is why it is not a shock that they won. I believe ligue 1 finally could have a different champions, I am hoping the same for Serie A which looks like there is a 99% chance Inter will be the champions, Bundesliga doesn't have that and they still have Bayern at the top so that is not going to be that easy.

I do not know when or how some team will beat them because they are getting great players this off-season as well. Yes its exciting this season i like to see ligue 1 so competetive because the last years psg team was wining it so easily and i think part of that is that psg are more focusing in the champions league more than ligue one since the great performance they showed in the last round.

Yes its exciting this season i like to see ligue 1 so competetive because the last years psg team was wining it so easily and i think part of that is that psg are more focusing in the champions league more than ligue one since the great performance they showed in the last round.

I think you are right, Paris is currently highly focused on the champions league but it's a big mistake from them in my opinion because they will certainly be eliminated by Bayern Munich in 8 days during the second leg of the quarter final (Tuesday April 13). And then it can be too late to focus on the Ligue 1 championship and to get the first place again.   They are currently 3 points behind Lille, it's not a small gap to fill.

Teamplay is the most important thing for every clubs. If a team give importance to teamplay more than any other thing, their chance for the championship will be higher than their opponents. PSG spends a lot of money. There are very few clubs that spend that much money. PSG has the strongest forward lineup of Ligue 1. Strong team, very good management and so PSG is consistently winning the title every year. PSG was at the top of the points table last season. They did 68 points, second place Marseille was 12 points behind them. In the 2018-19 season, PSG had 91 points and second-placed LIlle was 16 points behind. Lille is well ahead so far this season. If they don’t lose form the title will win Lille and we will see a new champion.

The french cup round of 16 tie ends tonight; already qualified we have Monaco, Rumilly, Angers, Canet, Toulouse, Montpellier. Tonight, Red Star host lyon; and i expect it to be a routine victory for Lyon; so that they can join the rest of the team in the quarter finals. Red star 1 - 3 Lyon. What are your predictions ?
