A pool to mine? And which exchange we trade it?

We will have an exchange when the new codebase is ready because otherwise we will need to get it relisted etc and that will waste extra funds
Also I am hoping we will be added to blocknet too
3142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ALTS are the NEXT BIG THING? Add your Valid suggestion here now >>>>> POLL on: December 08, 2017, 03:34:55 PM
Technically not an altcoin but I'm going to go ahead and nominate CRYPTOKITTIES to the poll.

1. First blockchain game on Ethereum
2. First ever DAPP that, while pushing ethereum's transaction scaling issues, is a great example of why ethereum is a real working platform for smart contracts and dapps
3. Appealing to a massive demographic that allow's newcomers get familiarized with crypto in a fun and friendly way

Good game for two reasons:-
1. Good game.
2. Good demonstration of the fact that Blockchains can't scale.

Interesting idea. I have no idea of the distribution of these kitties though and no idea if they could be viewed as an ALT coin investment as the others in the OP. However if some others here think it should be added and can lay out the proposal as others have addressing the 4 key points then sure if people want it added lets add it
3143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 08, 2017, 03:26:24 PM
Hi Tony!

I may not have the most active account here but hold quite a few Bytes.

I loved your interview with Marc and it's great seeing you at several other events recently presenting Byteball, and trying to increase exposure. Whilst I understand this project is your "baby" and that you may be a more risk averse person in general, I feel it would greatly strengthen Bytbeall if we had a CEO or marketing crew who could handle the PR and present Byteball in a more clear, focused and understandable way. Not to be rude but as a native English speaker I found it hard to understand you at times and although you answered the woman correctly about ETH vs etherisc, I feel that she didn't understand you either.

It's great to see you doing your part but I feel it's time for some professional marketers to take over. The website needs an overhaul and I agree that the headline should be: "DAG - Unbounded scalability, fast confirmations, no miners, no blocks, low fees" (e.g. hashgrasph website). A Marketing team could also assist with more exchange listings, website update, video production (e.g. hashgraph has quality videos for beginners and advanced users) covering many areas of discussion. This would leave you to do what you do best, coding and improving the tech, and let the marketers do their work.

I admire that you are a doer rather than a talker, but feel that again a marketing team could help with monitoring/answering in chat apps, and also assisting you to write weekly updates on whats been going on behind the scenes. A little bit more communication from Byteball to the community would go a long way, any rational investor likes to follow the news and stay up-to-date but I feel my options to do this with Byteball are limited. The last update on Byteball Medium was in September.

I would also appreciate it if a decent amount of the remaining distribution funds are designated to devs who are willing to build around the Byteball ecosystem.

Good luck and look forward to hearing your upcoming distribution proposals!

Agree with all of this.  Byteball needs it's own Andreas Antonopoulos to do PR.

For the love of god, distribute a large chunk of the remaining coins to people who will actually contribute to building the Byteball ecosystem and increase it's exposure in a meaningful way.

Can we ask the the competing ICOS to donate the Byteball back to us that they hold? perhaps they can help us fund some advertising? and then we can continue the full moon payouts to people who purchased byteball on that premise.
3144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: December 08, 2017, 03:22:52 PM
Picking the right altcoin is always eventually going to make you magnitudes more btc than just holding btc

BTC is the safe bet
Alts are the risky bet

The right alts are a sure thing
3145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why have we not distributed from BTC and gone with LTC already on: December 08, 2017, 02:42:50 PM
BTC is so slow and annoying. The fees are mad. Now we have LTC with lightening why are most not at least spreading the load to LTC?

The concentration to btc seems crazy when there are solid alternatives.

The network is totally bogged down again I see zero confirmations after 18 hours on some tx and there is reasonable fees on those too.
3146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Alts are you buying in this Dip??? on: December 08, 2017, 02:10:49 AM
I bought a little BCH and a Dash, been waiting for them to drop a bit.

terrible choices especially dash lol
3147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]USDEx - Unified Society for the Next Generation Digital Economy on: December 08, 2017, 12:20:03 AM
Are you planning to list this coin under the new name?

The new coin will be USDEX. Since Yobit will not change or pull the old chain, we need to differentiate somehow.
I see, so Yobit is the only exchange at the moment, but they still have the old coin? So what is the actual price of USDEX?

you can imagine 10x old
3148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 100k USD per bitcoin used to seem out of the question... now not so much on: December 07, 2017, 04:05:44 PM
Perhaps these predictions of 100K bitcoin next year are not so insane as some of us thought.

I think it is reaching a tipping point now where people are starting to accept it could have a real chance of becoming a world wide accepted and established transfer of value/wealth.

The more expensive it gets the more real and valid  that possibility becomes.

Why did i sell at  10k .... damn.

Come on just one more big correction before the final and steady up line to the 500k predictions from our fav antivirus guy.

I think Viberate is a very good Alt https://www.viberate.com . Right now it has a market cap of about 21 million dollars. It is targeting the multi billion industry of music so it can easily do a 10x if not more in the future.

It has a functioning platform and is decently adopted but the project is pretty much only starting so it is not in a hurry as it really does not have major competition in the market.

They have also recently implemented a reward program so the marketing is essentially being done by the community which really strengthens the community. By doing about 20 minutes of posting and sharing per day you can get up to 100 VIBs, which is right now aabout 13 USD/10 EUR which is pretty generous if you ask me

Sign up here: https://www.viberate.com/referrals/2ed6b8b9_9588dc25_2edd6fe5

Thanks for the suggestion can you tell more about the distributional process so it can be analysed more by others and see if we can add it as a REAL project.

The usecase is a platform like eth or what is this platform for dapps etc? it is already functional you say?

thanks

check https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2378605.0, their free airdrop is now open.

My old account in here is worthless for your project because I do not have twitter (something something privacy). Good luck.

Byteball news: price falls below 0.02 BTC....

Meanwhile User Byteballington updated his Byteball Binary Option Trading project. Here is his announcement in Slack:

New features on

A live stats page is now online, displaying :
- global and last 24h live activity stats
- a new ranking system of every players with the top 3 best 24h traders

So why not try to be the first ?

https://binaryballs.com/stats/
Yesterday someone from the Japanese Byteball community mentioned that
www.belgianbeer.tokyo has started to accept Byteball. However they also take BTC, NEM, Monacoin and cannot be used as a shinning example of merchant adoption. Yet it IS merchant adoption non the less.

Should Byteball really be skipping lower and lower in the Coinmarketcap ranks? I have seen it as high as Position 23. Currently it is 61. My disbelieve is real.

Edit Addendum: User Byteballington is also known for having added Byteball as a option in Wordpress merchant Software.

I agree with all that you say. It is a mystery why Byteball is not a top 10 contender.

However when the distribution is a dreadful as Byteballs with some of the main holders being competing projects then the price we would assume such a good project would hold is almost irrelevant.

Eventually though I would expect it to find its feet and resume a strong upward path to where it should be in the top 10
3151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PXC] Phoenixcoin v0.6.6.1 ~ NeoScrypt Original ~ 4 Years Old on: December 07, 2017, 05:13:02 AM
is there a team behind this coin or is it just drifting arround ?

What you see is what you get. Ancient but working. Not interesting enough to attract any new investors though so i guess drifting is the best term for it right now.

Although someone did say PXC could be going DAG based soon, but I think they were pulling my leg.
3152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 07, 2017, 05:06:50 AM

Why do you expect Tony to do something differently? Why you don't do anything beside complaining here and expecting from Tony to do this or that?

If you think you know better what to do why not:

1. fork byteball open source code
2. launch your own Byteball 2.0
3. implement your brilliant ideas showing how better they are than Tony's.

Good luck and look forward to hearing your upcoming Byteball fork proposals!

Your logic is flawed.

just because someone knows how to design and code out a dag based cc does not mean he fully understands market psychology or even why the distributional model was a self destructive mess.

I think Tony could do well to listen to others ideas and take them into consideration.

That is not being mean to Tony ch at all that is simply the truth. He is a great dev but has made some tragic blunders in other areas if his aim was to get this into the top 10

120 votes not bad but for 3000 views we should have a few more vote or some projects suggested. Else people are simply investing in unproven dreams or just the top 10 (some of those are iffy)

I'm not surprised this is going slow. We all know this forum is filled with schill accounts. And the real projects normally don't hire shills. And many of the old boys don't bother reading here anymore because you have to read through so much bs for every good post you find. But keep it up. This thread is worth having.

Well I am shocked thought there are not more projects getting suggested in the proper format. I mean there is really only 4 criteria to meet and it seems there are not many that can meet those. Or if there are people are not recommending their fav project here.

Still I feel there must at the very least be 20 or so REAL projects from over 2000 surely.... If not more.

Thanks to those that mentioned the ones they voted for.

Keep them coming.

So how is the progress coming along? Any rough estimates on the code update etc? Would love to see this coin back on the map.

Work in progress: https://github.com/gjhiggins/been/commits/bee

(Visual infelicity courtesy of Qt not yet being fully to speed w.r.t. 4K displays).

Currently working on the ledger transfer implementation. For an example, see https://github.com/jinwangbi/goldennetcoin/blob/master/src/snapshot.cpp

Cheers

Graham

I never saw that pic before perhaps it didnt load in. But it looks quite good. Is this what the nav wallet looks like I have never had nav.

It nice of the wallet to show the staking that will happen in those coming time periods.

Be good if quark can pull something together soonish.

Lots of older coins picking up interest now. Quark should be a the top of this pile.

antshares? that is such an old name yet it is so new, we are olding

antshares is that neo now?

anyway yes please present a case for it using the structure in the OP

the distribution is very important too.

Was it open ended?/
3160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 06, 2017, 02:58:19 PM
Very good that the kind of Distribution change.

In the past month was the linked BTC Account a big problem. Always the price dump.

If you can cancel Distributuion for linked BTC Account I prefer this.

Stocks with linked GByte is okay.

I recommend that you switch to Mbyte similar as IOTA.

Exactly i have been saying this for a long time switch to MByte.

A lot of noobs buy on price per unit they dont understand the total cap.

How many times have i seen it said byteball is too expensive so i bough iota cos it is cheaper.

Simple psy. This is the first change to be done.

Those asking why iota is 30x higher cap.

You have iota in the hands of very very few people whos interested in colluding and forcing cap higher.

You have BB in the hands of a few people many of which are in competing projects and 50% still in the hands of the dev (iota probably has more but it is hidden)

Based on the code alone BB should be higher than iota or on a par.

Tear the band aid off get the coins pushed out to current byteball  holders or locked away in a decentralised way with full ledger for development.

Forget asking corner shops to use it... take it to the big companies and create some headlines.

sneaknesbo is good at one thing........marketing and hype .... plus has no problem at all blagging with the big companies. No disrespect to small shop owners and corner stores but you wont get sneaknesbo seeking them out and advertising it. He knows what creates good sound bytes.

Use some BB to create a good marketing team if tony is not comfortable consorting with huge companies that can benefit from BB.

FUlly agree with all said.

And the unit change from GBYTE to MBYTE is probably much more important that it seems, especially for newcomers (less than 1 year in cryptocurrencies).

There is a new horde of people new to the crypto "investments" that are specifically hunting cryptos with a low price per coin. Many of the IOTA holders are like that. A behaviour that seems absurd and difficult to understand for the more experienced traders.... but it IS happening.

The problem is tonych does not listen. He never listens to anything sensible.

The distribution was the biggest mess. Byteball will pay for that for a while yet. That could have been avoided if tony had listened to alternative suggestions back then.

He does not listen or even enter dialogue about such things.

You are all at his complete and utter mercy and that's not a great place to be.

I am not anti byteball at all and have tried to highlight in my latest thread on the main board how it is one of only a handful of real projects of interest.

HOwever the distribution was a complete mess with competing projects claiming huge % of byteballs minting causing tonych to several times go back on the stated full moon distributions (the basis of why many bought BB to hold) to apparent fund BB. When the other projects are busy funding their own projects by dumping on us.

Great plan,.

Iota on the other hand had it correct get all the iota into the hands of those that will collude and make sure the price is held up.
Iota are great marketeers and although have been show up by MIT for making rookie errors are MAGNITUDES higher cap.

Now most know this is easy to manipulate if you have a few people colluding on a couple of bent exchanges but noobs have no clue and are getting their btc in there.

Tony seems so talented on one hand but on the other..........

All the people here at the start shouting the distribution plan was great and there is no problem giving it to competing projects exchanges and a few whales are probably now scratching their heads wondering why iota is MAGNITUDES higher and getting all the attention. PRICE GETS THE ATTENTION.
Coinmarketcrap is the most dangerous site in crypto.

Byteball can eventually gain the upper hand but you just all made it 50x harder for yourselves following that stupid distributional mode at the very start.

Need to bring this to the attention of huge companies or huge whales. Also the remaining tokens need to be in a less precarious state because no real investors will like such a huge proportion of the minting under the control of a sole entity that answers to nobody. Also the witnesses need to possibly be increased and passed to trustworthy individuals.
