3141  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Does This Always happen? on: March 14, 2022, 06:34:50 AM

That's typical of every investors/traders' experience and I believe it happens so because a lot of traders buy almost at the same psychological level. There are levels people believe the market will take a turn, either upward or downward. Most times it doesn't happen that way because the market has a mind of its own. They forget that what the crowd feels is right is in most cases not right. Those who follow crowd mentality in trading often get messed up like that. There's a reason the famed Warren Buffet tells us to buy when others are scared and sell when they're greedy buying more. He's right on that one. It simply means going left when the crowd go right and vice versa.
3142  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading journals worth it? on: March 13, 2022, 09:52:58 PM
To each what works for them. Here I can safely say keeping a trading journal or not will be an individual choice. I used to keep a journal in the past when I newly started trading. After a while I discovered I could see, observe and recall any trading errors I made without having to read them up from whenever I penned it down. So, I did away with that. The way I see it now makes me think keeping one will be redundant like when traders rely or continue to demo trade after going on a live account.
3143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has trading been for you during this Ukraine and Russia war on: March 13, 2022, 06:47:48 PM
Of course trading is bull and bear, profit and loss  Shocked

So what is your experience so far during this war?

I'm like wanting to know ....
The sentence in red should be the mindset of every trader – up and down, bear and bull, profit and loss, at every point in time. However, the predominant pattern at a time like should be for traders to take more short than long positions. Those who can't do futures should stay on the sidelines and wait for when they think the market has dipped enough to try and long it. That should be after several sells have been triggered and price begins to stall and range. For me, whether the war or not, I had maintained that Bitcoin was going to go bearish this first quarters before the war broke. The war may not be the reason price is dumping. If anything, I think it's the reason it hasn't crashed further. Remember that a lot of people are buying up Bitcoin as a safe Haven. Demand is healthy.
3144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Trading Strategy on: March 12, 2022, 01:00:03 PM
The history is surprisingly similar, but the results are different every time. Just like the strength of this rebound does not feel like a strong rebound after the decline in the past few months, the strategy must also start to change.
Keep shitposting until you eventually get your account banned.

@OP, there's nothing wrong in DCA-ing on an asset. Though the asset has to be one that you trust to the extent you know it will rebound despite its dip. Otherwise, it's best to chicken out on a trade/investment you're hodling when the dip isn't severe. It's not all assets one should do a DCA on. That's my point. Again, it's good you rightly acknowledged it that there's no holy grail in trading; there's no perfect strategy anywhere.

Forex trading strategies are techniques used by forex traders to determine whether to buy or sell a currency pair at any given time. Forex trading strategies can be based on technical analysis or news based fundamental events.
Nothing says one can't use Forex trading ideas and strategies in crypto trading too.
3145  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About bear season on: March 12, 2022, 10:36:45 AM
I heard that bear market is the most scary part about crypto now I want to ask a question, how do you guys survive in bear market? Many abandon crypto in such season, miners sell their equipments too..
Well, bear market is not really that scary except to one who is completely dependent on making a living from it and doesn't have the expertise of trading. Those who are good at trading usually short it on futures and make a kill from it at a time when others are wailing. Those who are wise investors indulge DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) to reduce loss effect by buying at every dip to average out. For those who are scared, I suggest they should do one of these two things during bear a season – Either convert all crypto assets to Bitcoin or Tether their assets in stable coin of their choice. Otherwise, people will continue to get messed up during a bear season.
3146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who is the best crypto provider to give you advice on how to trade in crypto? on: March 12, 2022, 09:40:38 AM
I agree with the above. Signals are definitely something you should stay away from. The ones you usually find (especially the free ones) are most of the time for tokens that no one has ever heard of listed on shady exchanges.
Your comment deserves merit from me. Sadly, I don't have any to give now. This here is correct and I've a first hand experience of it. There's a dude I've followed in the past who ran a pump and dump and other investment and trading blablabla. Dude was always fond of resurrecting dead or dying tokens on relatively unknown exchanges. Most of them do it so they could cash out on tokens they're baghodling. A lot of this dude's followers trusted him and would quickly buy. Tokens would pump and when they dump, they usually dump below original prices. So, I asked dude if he could make calls from Binance since he had account with Binance too (knowing that Binance doesn't have much of shit tokens). Dude blocked me 😆.

The proverb is saying that he who does evil thinks that everyone else around him is evil.

3148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: reason why people fall victims of scammers everyday especially on social media on: March 12, 2022, 08:12:34 AM
OP, everything is down to "Greed". No matter how anyone wants to view it, it boils down to greed of the victim. Every scam attempt will always present the victim with mouth watery giveaway or what they stand to gain and that's what gets the victim interested. If anyone has that mindset of not being interested in freebies or free monies, they hardly fall victims to scam. Hacks can be different and may not result from greed because most times the victims don't even know when the hacks happen. But scam is a resultant effect of greed. Control your greed and you will see how difficult it will be to get scammed.
3149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An advice for newbies and plebs on: March 12, 2022, 07:26:58 AM
2022 - It might be a bear market.
Your choice of expression in, "Might be" is accurately suggestive of the truism that in cryptos there's nothing certain. Everything is based on speculation. I, for one, believe that Bitcoin will remain bearish in this first quarters of 2022. After this quarter, I expect it to resurge and go on a high once again. Then we repeat the circle as we have had in the past circles towards the end for the year. However, let me quickly point out here that times and tides have changed as we've seen a lot of mix in the industry. Institutions and whales putting their money in Bitcoin. Even this ongoing Russia/Ukraine war can trigger a different dynamics, either in favour of Bitcoin or against it. Personally, I expect it to be in favour of Bitcoin; knowing how both countries have favoured it before going into this senseless war.
3150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using trading indicators? on: March 12, 2022, 05:55:05 AM
I just want to ask this question, are you using indicator for trading? If using it for trading, is it helping you. I just want to go beyond what we are reading online and see what people will have on this.
Trading without indicators is like sailing a ship without a compass. That's pure blind sailing and gambling when it comes to trading. Relying on candlestick formations alone may get you a few wins but it won't last. It will eventually wreck the trader. For instance, a Doji on a support or resistance is possibly signifying a reversal but a Doji on no support or resistance region is obviously a fakey, just to shake off traders. Indicators beyond candlesticks is the way to go. I rely on support and resistance lines.
3151  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk accounts - Ukraine on: March 11, 2022, 05:58:11 PM
We can destroy the whole russian army on our land, have no doubt about that.
That comment of yours is soothing for someone like me who has always been scared that Ukraine isn't any match for Russia. However, now that you've made me realize that the war isn't a handicap confrontation I hope Putin gets confined to regrets.

Concerning accounts here and the look out for password and email change, I think it's an unnecessary paranoia. I bet you, this forum is the least of Putin's worries.
3152  Other / Meta / Re: The situation with Ukraine and the accounts that supported the war. on: March 11, 2022, 05:31:34 AM
That's what happen when you have a comedian president. It's true that there are no lack of patriotism from him, he did not run away, he was outspoken, willing to give his life for the country but sometimes you need to be tactical instead of go and face a bullet in the chest. Being tactical does not make you coward.
What would you've suggested he did? Gave up his constitutional right to defend the sovereignty of his country without a fight? I don't think he did any wrong by putting up a fight and staring Putin in the face. If anything, his action shows bravery.

Some people are saying Zelenskyy a hero. But I do not think after end of this war when Ukraine will have nothing left then what will the same people call him.
I will still see him as a hero despite the outcome of the war now despite the fact that NATO chickened out on him after seemingly showing support before the war. Now, all member nations of NATO are scared of Russia. NATO is the real coward here.

I don't think anyone is hearing us 😉
It's about time DT members intensified efforts in tagging those abusing the trust system then.
3153  Other / Meta / Re: The situation with Ukraine and the accounts that supported the war. on: March 10, 2022, 08:02:34 PM
I don't support this ongoing war with Russia and Ukraine just like I don't endorse any form of bloodshed too. However, tagging anyone for being either in support of the war or against it is going overboard and unnecessary in my opinion. OP, you and your "co-taggers" need to revisit what the trust system is meant for so you can apply such rule appropriately. You guys are abusing it by your actions.

My bad for not getting back into your reply that fast. I guess I might need to get a notif bot for users quoting me.
Well, better late than never or better sorry than never. Choose the appropriate one like we were told in high school. On a more serious note, I think you should get the forum bot notifier done by a member of this forum. I can't remember who now. Here it's in case you need it @BTTSuperNotifier_bot. Just copy and search it on your telegram, and then run it.
3157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is refusing to block Russian customer's crypto wallets. on: March 08, 2022, 04:14:22 PM
That's the most sensible thing to do. Why block accounts of innocent traders in Russia when it knows they aren't Putin or a part of Putin's cabinet. To be sincere with you, I think those who want accounts belonging to Russian traders banned aren't thinking it through. Such a thought isn't coming from a place of objectiveness. For crying out loud, those traders are also passing through a hard time occasioned by the war in their country. Come to think of it, Biden and his cohorts are yet to boycott Russian oil and gas. Why haven't they stopped buying oil from Russia yet? Sincerely, this war has become an eye opener for me on the double standard played by the US in global politics.
3158  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DON'T QUIT on: March 08, 2022, 12:08:20 PM
OP, your closing sentences are didactic. That's the right way to give oneself strength and purpose. Winners truly don't quit and those who quit don't ever win!

Honestly speaking it's not easy to stand on your feet once you failed too many times, I have a weak mind but the only thing that makes me get this far is because I have no other way, crypto is the only better option that can keep me alive, my country situation sucks and I have no choice but to rely on money making online crypto is a better option to that, thanks for the advice.
Tarry awhile, don't give up hope. It's clear these past few years have been the hardest. I believe things will later take a sharp turn for better, regardless of the senseless war going on in Ukraine. The struggle for survival isn't an easy hurdle to beat for many. I know someone somewhere may be having it easy right now but they should remember that there are a greater number of people struggling to go by each passing day in order to make ends meet.
3159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Crash in The Next 2 Weeks? on: March 08, 2022, 10:09:00 AM
The way BTC is dangling in the dump region since this year has continued to prove my conviction that Bitcoin will remain bearish in the first quarters in 2022 right. We're in March and that's the last month in the first quarters. As far as March is concerned, we are still likely to remain in the bear. Perhaps things will begin to look up well in the second quarters. I can't wait to see the market become lively once again and the "prophets" stepping in to make predictions of where price should get to. I hope this time we won't see a $300k ATH forecast.
3160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Experts Please Suggest me on: March 08, 2022, 08:48:51 AM
I am planning to invest 5000usd every month into crypto for next 3 years .
Did you say $5k every month or you meant $500? That's huge and encouraging anyway. In your title topic you adopted a mindset of placing an "expert" tag on people in cryptos. I think you should jettison that because everyone who is knowledgeable in crypto trading is at best a speculator; not an expert. The market is the only expert. Those who assumed that posterior of experts in the past were eventually cut to sizes. Besides, most people who will suggest to you what assets to buy here may not even have invested in those assets or in any at all. They may not even be investors or traders. Just know this.
