Does anybody actually makes any money from them? I mean, what's the point of collecting these airdrops if from what I'm seeing most of them are in fact worthless or have such a low price that you would need thousands of them only to exchange it for few cents. And most likely it will be almost impossible to sell them on any exchanges as no one would want to buy them from you. So is it pure crypto enthusiasts collecting and challenge of who is going to have more random tokens or am I missing something?
I remember a story from a user, who just this year remembered, that he applied for the NEM airdrop back in the days. Synced the wallet, > 2 Million of NEM in there. Give it time, there is no coin that goes from 0 to 100 in 1 week, think longterm. Most airdrop coins won't have any significant value by the end of the year, a lot of them won't even exist any more. But there will be coins, that will have some value in the future. Just collect them and forget about them as soon as they arrive in your wallet. Another point is - I don't know where you live - that, in some parts of the world, even 0.02 ETH is a lot of money. So if you join 10 airdrops per month and sell each of them for an average of 0.02 ETH, you have 0.2 ETH, which is a lot of money in some countries. |

Do you aim for fans or punters in the end ? I know its both, but which group is your primary target.
This is a highly contested market, where not a lot of market shares are up for grabs. Statistics are available all over the internet for free. I get, that you want to centralize these information in one place, but I don't know, if people will want to pay for that.
Regarding the betting exchange, there have been numerous companys, that tried to challenge Betfair, but they all failed more or less - although they have far better (e.g. lower) fees and no premium charge etc.. But its so hard to get decent volume on the markets, even with market-makers.

Ich kann das nachvollziehen, trotzdem musste ich irgendwie schmunzeln  Die beste Lösung, seine IOTA immer wieder zu sehen, ist, regelmäßig alle updates mitzumachen und die Anweisungen für die IOTA-/Walletbenutzung zu befolgen, d.h. man kann auf einer Adresse beliebig oft IOTA empfangen, aber sobald man zwischendurch IOTA irgendwo hinsendet, MUSS man eine neue Empfangsadresse für künftige Zahlungen generieren. und ich würde es nur machen, wenn es sein muss und meine Coins verschwinden, weil ich es nicht mache.. also hat hier niemand eine Info ob man updaten Muss oder nicht?
Nein, du MUSST nicht updaten, trotzdem ist es ratsam. Zwischen 2.5.1 und 2.5.2 gab es einen Snapshot. Du musst also so oder so, welches wallet du auch immer als nächstes benutzt, Adressen generieren. Wenn du lange genug wartest, könnte das wallet das vielleicht schon automatisch machen. Allerdings wurden zwischen dem September-Snapshot und dem Oktober-Snapshot weitere Adressen wegen KEY-REUSE "gesperrt" und die IOTA wurden zur Foundation transferiert. Wenn du nichts mit deinen IOTA gemacht hast in dem Zeitraum und in 2.5.1 alles ok war, wirst du davon allerdings nicht betroffen sein. Als Tipp: Notiere dir einfach die Adresse(n), auf denen deine IOTA liegen (history -> addresses) und schaue im Explorer nach, ob die IOTA noch auf der Adresse sind, z.B. hier: https://thetangle.org/ . |

Gibt es eigentlich auch einen Newsletter wo man ne Benachrichtigung enthält wenn man etwas machen muss wenn etrwas greavierendes passiert?
Ich bin zwar im Slack Channel angemeldet und hole mir dort meine Infos, aber für viele Investoren ist das sicher etwas umständlich und mühsam.
Klar, man kann sich auch auf Twitter oder Facebook informieren, aber so ein alt hergebrachter Newsletter wäre schon ne feine Sache.
Es gibt leider keinen (funktionierenden) Newsletter. Slack wird auch weiterhin der Hauptanlaufpunkt für Informationen aus erster Hand sein - ein Umzug auf eine andere Plattform wurde abgelehnt, nachdem die "Differenzen" mit Slack geklärt wurden und Neuanmeldungen wieder möglich sind. Die Benachrichtigungen für slack funktionieren allerdings gut, wenn man nicht regelmäßig reinschauen will/kann. Die neue Homepage ist ja schon seit einiger Zeit in der Mache, vielleicht gibt es dann in dem Zuge auch einen neuen/funktionierenden Newsletter. Ein neuer Marketing-Mensch soll auch irgendwann kommen, dann geht vielleicht auch was in der Richtung |

Gibt es schon Infos darüber ab wann man seine Iotas zurückbekommt die bei der Foundation gelandet sind?
Finde es langsam exrem mühsam und der offizielle Newsletter von der Homepage kommt bei mir auch nie an obwohl ich meine Emailadresse schon öfters angegeben hatte. Ohne ständiges nachfragen hier bei Bitcointalk oder bei Slack bekomm ich nie wirklich Infos was gerade läuft.
Du brauchst nur den #announcement channel im slack zu verfolgen, dort wird alles Wichtige gepostet und du verpasst nichts. Kannst dir auch notifications für den channel einschalten, so dass du eine email bekommst, sobald dort etwas gepostet wird. Wirst auch nicht mit mails zugeschüttet, nur David und Dominik können in dem channel posten und es werden dort ausschliesslich announcements veröffentlicht, nix anderes. |
