Another crowdfunding project which is based on games to develop providing a platform, looks interesting to keep it on my list to watch. There were many platforms in recent months offering similar things but didn't succeed hope this will be game changer and will have different fate.

It might not crash below the ICO price... I've been personally involved with crowdsales including Factom, DECENT and BitCrystals, the latter of which actually is a game coin. I also follow lots of ICOs, and especially gaming ICOs (of which there have been many, and successful ones) since I operate www.blockchaingaming.com. I'm going to oversee the whole process and try to ensure any rates we have to set are set wisely so as to minimize unfortunate instability.

For now, though, we're trying to make clear what Chimera is, as there's nothing out there like it. There are lots of really great game coins boasting awesome games, but this is more like the console.

You can use any engine you like for rendering. As I can see it now, out-of-the-box Chimera is going to supply tools to build on top of Unity3D framework, but nothings holds (aside from lack of free time) to build Unreal Engine 4 plugin as well.

There are other gaming coins, but none of them are completely decentralized like Huntercoin with no server. Most simply place game assets on the Bitcoin or Ethereum blockchain or are used as in-game currency for fully-centralized games. Chimera will be an advanced platform on top of which all games can be decentralized, like Huntercoin but better.
