If we make certain analysis of Bitcoin discussion section also we could easily see the post quality have been degraded like most of the members don't know what are they posting like if there is any rumour or fake news in the market then without any investigation or finding out the details they will create the thread and later on similar threads carry on with same information.But in past there were some good discussions carried out by members.But now it is changing.
So my main concern was that there are some positive and negative aspects that have changed on botcointalk forum over all these years.
There are millions of registered bitcointalk users but we can never get them all to post reasonable, constructive and quality things every time. The decline in the quality of posts is not only caused by the large number of newbie who do not have sufficient knowledge, we can still find more veteran members who also post the same thing regardless of the quality. Directing them to post quality things is a must in my opinion, it's an effort to improve the quality of the forum. But we're also not short on options to keep it clean as the report to moderator button is still pretty useful today. If warnings and input from forum contributors via replies or a thread are not heeded, then this button will provide extra benefits for all of us who care about forum cleanliness. |

I wasn't very interested in Barcelona today, they lost a lot of players in attack and wing position and they looked very weak in the first half. I don't like the 5 midfielders that Koeman used in this match because I don't think those 3 defenders will be able to withstand attacks when Bayern Munchen attack.

You are right, bitcointalk is not the only forum that discusses bitcoin because there are many other forum that discuss the same thing out there. But you need to know that bitcointalk is one of the largest bitcoin forum so far among other bitcoin forum which will be the most comprehensive forum among other forum. I agree that not all crypto and bitcoin lovers have 1 account in this forum especially if their interest in bitcoin is as a trading and investment asset. They can study elsewhere and that's not a problem for them. For the record, I have some friends who are quite active as traders since 2017. They make profit through their trading activities but they don't have an account in this forum. They can learn from friend to friend who was also a trader before them, and I think they are fine without being active in this forum. The arrival of new users in the forums and the crypto world is great as cryptocurrencies are becoming more and more famous. Obviously I don't just see it from the positive side, but I can see it from the other side. Without sufficient knowledge, newcomers will be very vulnerable to getting scammed. Actually I'm personally not too impressed with the current standings, because every top team still can't win in all matches like in previous seasons. But even so, I am personally a little surprised by the changes that have occurred in Valencia, as I remember Valencia in the last few seasons has looked like a mediocre team. Currently Valencia can stand in second place and that is a positive change that has been made even though the opponents they face are not top teams.
Some interesting thing from Valencia so far are the strong defensive walls they have. Carlos Soler became the top scorer for Valencia in 4 match with 3 goals to his name. For the champions league rank or top 3, I agree that Lazio has a chance. But for the race of Serie A title, I doubt it. Anyway I agree with you, mate. Actually, Lazio started this season perfectly, won 2 early matches, and leading the table now. However, I am not really sure they can survive at the top table in the next few weeks. They didn't against strong teams yet, just defeated two weaker teams. That's why I am doubtful if Lazio to be considered as the candidate of the winner. It is still too early to judge Lazio having a great season this year, especially to predict them to win the League title.
AC Milan, Inter, Juventus, Napoli will be opponents to beat if Lazio is to continue leading the table. I doubt Lazio are capable of winning all the match against the teams I mentioned, but of course they still have a chance. Given a fairly good start, Lazio will be counted this season. I have never considered what happens in the following scenario though:
A thread has 5 posts by 5 different users. I make a post and quote 3 of those replies, for example. After a while, one of the posts I quoted and replied to gets deleted, but the others aren't. Would my post also get deleted for having a quote of the deleted post even though it also contains quotes of posts that weren't deleted?
Actually I've never come across a case like the scenario you describe. But, IMO your post will probably remain and will not be deleted even if one of the post you quoted has been removed on the grounds that your answers to the other two quotes are quite helpful and make sense. I don't really know what mod will do when they come across such a case. But yes, the excerpt for the deleted post should also be removed by the mod as it is no longer relevant. |
