@wetsuit, so what is the chance you will still implement your mining investment program? I'm really interested in it(and many others are too, I think Smiley )

We might do it in the future, currently we are expanding our mining capacity regardless (we are at 4.5 PH/s now which is about 0.1% of the total bitcoin network).

Waoh been such a long time didn't visit the freebitcoin thred. 0.1% of total bitcoin network is huge

Therefore the mining investment program will works something like

Invest a % of amount, the profit sharing is = profit * % of amount appropriate to the investment fund?

Thank you!

You gotta work i suppose, without investment, you will need a specific skills set(Video edit, graphic design, transcripts) And other skills which you think where you worth a certain money. Then work on your skills Smiley
3165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 08, 2017, 05:06:29 PM
When we think about investments we imagine investors with big sums of money, so for btc casino it would be 1 or more btc, for instance. However, the minimum amount you can invest is usually 0.01btc which is only 10$. Do you think such investments are profitable but you earn small sums or maybe they don't make sense at all? Can someone explain it to me?

Yea it does make sense, any amount of $$ you deposit and wanted to make profits is consider as investment. Ranging from 0.001 - 1000, but still, it depedns on yourself Smiley

3167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EV, BEP In martingale? on: February 08, 2017, 01:43:26 PM
Hello everyone, if you have ever tried betting, martingale might not be something new for you.

Therefore recently in class, while i am just feeling bored, i made some calculations.

Winning chance : 98%
Profit : 1% of bet

Betting calculation

Start bet : 100 satoshi

If lose in streak
1st : 100
2nd : 10,000
3rd : 1,000,000

Total cost for 2 streak : 10,100 》 0.00001Btc 》 $0.10
Chance of losing : 2/100 x 2/100 = 4/1,000 》0.4%

Total cost for 3 streak : 1,001,100 》 0.01Btc 》 $10-11
Chance of losing : 2/100 x 2/100 x 2/100 = 8/1000000 = 0.0008%.

1) Is the calculation of losing in 3 streak correct?

2) In your own way of betting, will you prefer to bet at a max losing streak of 2 or losing streak of 3?

3) in streak of 2/3, which one have a better EV if you have a bankroll of $50? is there way to calculate it?

1/ yup, you know how to maths well done

2/ Don't understand your question, there is no difference between streak of 2 and of 3...

3/ That's... The same. EV only depends on the house edge of the casino if I remember correctly.

For 2)

I mean if you have $50

Will you prefer this setting

Start : 100
Increase : x100 on loss
Restart when lose 2 time in row
Total cost for each 2 streak loss : $0.10

Or

Start : 100
Increase : x100 on loss
Restart when lose 3 time in row
Total cost for each 3 streak loss : $10

Hope you get what i mean, its something like will you rather to lose
$0.10 x 100
OR
$10 x 1

I am not a native english speaker, so it might be confusing, sorry for that ;/
3168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great way to make Bitcoin! on: February 08, 2017, 11:26:57 AM
I see that everyone sees Bitcoin as this magical money making thing so here is a great way to make some money:

1. Learn a skill that is in demand.

2. Use that skill to make money in your worthless inflationary local currency.

3. Convert that worthless currency into bitcoins.

Boom. Now you have real money!

Spend as desired.

Bonus points if you can use your skill that is in demand to directly make bitcoins.

In some countries you can direct deposit your paycheck into bitcoins.
In the US you can use http://www.bitwage.co or PEY in Germany.

PS. Signature campaigns are the worst way to make bitcoins.

IMO, Signature campaigns CAN BE the Worst way | Best way to earn money, you just gotta pick the right campaign and join it.

Whoever join the Iconomi campaign for just 3-4 weeks, get approximately 1k tokens, if you convert that now and doesn't sell when it is listed on exchange you keep it. 1k tokens now is $500. And there's tons of people who keep it up with the camp which got around 2-3k that is almost like $1000-1500 for just 2 month by posting.

But there's campaign which have this minimum funding, when their camp fail, you don't get paid.
So gotta be smart when picking Smiley
3169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: February 08, 2017, 11:19:01 AM
Hi friends,

As far as I know, bitcoin payments take a little time to approve. Will these approval times make it difficult to use bitcoin in our daily lives?
For example, I would get a coffee from Starbucks. Do I have to wait for approval to pay for what I have done for hours?

Well, 15minutes for the block to move. If there are be able to accept it with 0 confirmation then you could just pay and get. But 0 confirmation is bad due to it is abuse able where i read on certain articles. This is why you can see most betting sites which accept bitcoins take 1-2 confirmation so it don't double spent

3172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control emotion when you are on crucial part of gambling? on: February 08, 2017, 07:28:08 AM
IMO, as i always lose is due to failing emotional control.

Then, i found out that, i will never ever able to control when comes to gambling.

Even i tell myself, only bet big with profits, never get myself cleaned. But it just doesnt work that way.

What i can advice is that if you really couldnt control yourself, don't bet. I myself always quit betting for months, came back, lose, stop, came back and lose again.

Gambling is just not for me

Yesterday a 10% raise till 0.5x due to the news of conference. Then it was down by a few % and reach $0.49 now. This reminds me of price trend when people tend to get excited over news, they will have a positive mode towards the project.

Anyhow, I'll say it is stil reasonable to get your icn now because the price now is like x3-4 of ico. It is still low when there's no actual product launch yet.

A Speculation by me towards ICN is that once the OFM platform is launch, we can expect a minimum of 20% rise and up to perhaps 50% if the buy hype is too much
3174  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive Income on: February 07, 2017, 01:39:39 PM
Well i invested in lots of ico, and invested into a wrong ico.

What i am hoping is that i can be able to invest into a right ico coins or a good project which pays a consistent dividends back so i can earn my passive income stablely
3175  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Paypal a scam? on: February 07, 2017, 01:33:52 PM
Well for me they are a very good and trust able payment processor.

But one issue which i dont like in pp is that the chargeback factor.

I never been chargeback before but there's too much of complain towards paypal when people get chargeback when trading for digital products or digital items.

I've never understand how does the dispute or chargeback works and what the factors or criteria will affect the decision of chargeback
3176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: February 07, 2017, 01:30:58 PM
Good to see the price is 49,4k satoshi and 50k soon
I hope it will be 100k in this month.

Yeah, hope when the OFM platform is release the price will goes up to 100k or even 200k.

Just one question, the ico price is 12k sats? $0.12 each?
3177  Economy / Speculation / Re: New record being at 1000+? on: February 07, 2017, 06:40:00 AM
Speculation

If the price of bitcoin can stay consistent at $1,000 - 1,200 within this 6-8 months time until October. When it hit the holiday season at the end of year in December, it can be pump up hard to $1,500 by real.

Been notice this trend for like 2 years?

in 2015 and 2016.

2016 the price increase from a consistent $500-600 to $1.1k at peak?

in 2015, the first time when i bought bitcoin at rate of $3xx-4xx. But during the end of year which is the holiday season and it peaked at $800 but it drop back soon
3178  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if 1,000,000 people donated $1 via bitcoin? on: February 07, 2017, 06:01:19 AM

3180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: February 07, 2017, 05:51:31 AM
Nope, i never ever had a good luck in gambling. I can make profit at first when i bet on match betting. But only applicable in first 2-3 games, when i won, after that i will lost xd
