Let me understand. You sent USDT from Binance to CoinList but instead of a USDT address, you sent it to a bitcoin address.

Binance are correct when they say that they can not do anything assuming the coins are gone from their wallet. What I understand is that Omni is a layer which works with bitcoin network. But I have never made any Omni transaction, so I have very little idea how it works but if this is something like you give a BTC address and the USDT goes to that address then Omni are correct when they said you need to have the private key of the address.

If it's not like just send the usdt to the btc address then I guess they are meaning that it was not the USDT address (ERC20) that they own.

Chances are very slip but if the amount is huge then you can take legal action against them. But you need to have it in mind that you made the mistake.

By any chance can you post the transaction ID or the bitcoin address?

Consider 2/3, all three needs to have back up of their own seeds. It depends on them how many they will have. As long as the seed is not lost the wallet is good. The wallet is still good even one cosigner lose his seed because to use the wallet you only need two cosigners.

You do not need any third party service. Whoever is the author he has overdone it I guess. All three cosigners can be created using the same software. It's three different device, if a hacker wants to get access of the wallet then he needs at least two devices to access or two cosigners to convince out of three.

This was asked by a user privately and I realized that I never had a thought about it but assumed that it's fine to use a URL shortener on personal text. I am still confident that it's absolutely okay to have it on the personal text unless any mod suggest otherwise.

Obviously he is not reasonable at all. Clearly he is manipulating to make his bag heavier. But I do blame him for doing that. It's human nature to make gain, to take opportunity. I do not see any relation with losing money because of regular and multi sig wallet. A Bech32 wallet may save your fees if that is your concern and here again you said that fees are not your concern.


After reading the responses I am assuming you want to set up the multi sig wallet in your website which will require coding knowledge and stuffs. You can hire a freelancer who can do it for you. But if you want to know how a multi sig wallet setup works and steps then feel free to visit this site and learn about it.
