I had 2-0 down. Always annoying when someone scored and ruins your chance of getting a perfect score. England played mediocre as expected. Tunisia deserved the point but a vital win as I doubt they'll get anything from Belgium but should beat Panama (emphasis on should).

Still can't see where that 'joker' bonus option is either.
You can select one game per matchday and get double points for that game. You just need to click on that match on predictions page.

I see the icon now, but how do you know if it's been chosen?
3162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: June 18, 2018, 06:02:22 PM
Yeah, first half was 50/50 but Belgium deserved the goals in the second half.

Can anyone get on to the piece of shit website? My predictions aren't loading up at all and the leaderboard shows but doesn't load when I click on it. It's better have logged my scores. Sometimes I check back and there's a couple that haven't. Missed out on a lot of the bonus questions because of the site never loading. Still can't see where that 'joker' bonus option is either.
3163  Other / Meta / Re: Its just a Question sir! on: June 18, 2018, 04:51:53 PM
Bonus:
I suggest you stop calling anyone else in the forum with Sir, Mr., etc. because these words show that you are from third world.

What's wrong with that?

Bonus
I suggest you ignore bonuses that aren't so helpful (it's not difficult to ignore).

I think most people just find it annoying in the way that it's used. It's usually always followed with a load of begging or whining by illiterate spammers who overuse it when they are pleading for their account back after being banned for spamming/copy and pasting or whatnot. I get that they're probably just trying to be polite, but it always just comes across as sycophant-ish and fake to me and many others seem to feel the same way.
3164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: June 18, 2018, 04:43:10 PM
It seems that it have became a trend for weaker team to play a full defensive strategy against the favorites team, it is another boring game between Belgium vs Panama now, I hope Belgium would be able to demolish Panama hard in the second half of the game.

What else can they do? First half was very dull but the second half has been much better and how Belgium should be playing, though they've still done nothing special (especially considering who they're playing).

Hah!  I finally figured it out.  There's no bug in the predictor.  Everyone gets 76 points just for guessing the right total number of goals for the match.  I was kinda worried I'd be -76.  Lol.

You can see how the scores work in the Rules

Yup missed that.  It's actually in the first page.  Lol.

Anyway 0 - 0 for Belgium vs Panama.  Have them at 2 - 0 and Lukaku for most shots...  Which I kinda knew was a mistake because Hazard.

Edit:  YES!  Now hold that line...

Well it's 3-0 now with five minutes to go and I'm hoping it stays that way so I can get my second correct score of the day  Cheesy.
3165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: June 18, 2018, 02:29:01 PM
Hah!  I finally figured it out.  There's no bug in the predictor.  Everyone gets 76 points just for guessing the right total number of goals for the match.  I was kinda worried I'd be -76.  Lol.

You can see how the scores work in the Rules:

Quote
Points and Scoring
For each match, points are awarded for:

Predicting the correct scoreline;
Predicting the correct result;
Predicting the correct margin of victory; and
Predicting the correct number of goals scored.
For each points category listed above (excluding number of goals scored) you will earn a score between 1 to 100 points (the exact amount awarded will depend on the number of other participants who also made the correct prediction). The lower the number of participants who make a correct prediction, the more points will be awarded.

A guide to the number of points which can be earned for each prediction is displayed on the FIFA World Cup™ Match Predictor page under each prediction bracket. Points will be updated 'live' while the match is in progress.

Bonus Points
You will only be able to answer bonus questions once the line-ups have been announced, from around 60 minutes before the match in question begins until kick-off.

For each correctly answered bonus question, you will earn an additional 30 points.

Joker
For every 2018 FIFA World Cup™ matchday, you can assign one prediction to be your joker. A correct joker prediction will result in any points awarded for that match being doubled!

Joker selections can be changed at any time up until the scheduled kick-off of the match in question.

https://predictor.fifa.com/match/rules

I haven't see anywhere where you can choose the joker result though.

First correct score result for me, will love the 289 points which will put me back on track after failing miserably in the first days of the world cup pool. I hope this is just the beginning and I hope many more to come as correct score results for me.

Same. Was so tempted to go for the 0-0 draw as well (which would have been the perfect score for Germany's hopes). I think Germany should handle Sweeden and Korea quite comfortably though. They'll have to hope Mexico do too.
3166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: June 17, 2018, 06:48:12 PM

true , but personally I'm eliminating germany from the outright
Germany was the 2nd favor in betfair after Brazil with like X6.00 , after today's match they are the 4th favor now with X10.00 so even market makers changed their minds
luckily for me Spain now is the 2nd favor with X6.200 to win , so was able to get some value ( not sure if I should trade it or let it run though )

Well I wouldn't back them right now either but maybe someone could take advantage of the odds, because the bookies only changed their minds because statistically it's now a lot more difficult for them to go through. Usually a loss means you're not going to get through, but as I said above if they demolish Sweden and Korea they'll probably be ok. Korea and Sweden are playing tomorrow so that's certainly going to be an interesting game. The best result for Germany would be a draw but I think Sweden are the stronger team by far (though they're probably not up to much now especially without Zlatan). There's also the possibility that Mexico might get too cocky and complacent and lose or draw themselves.
3167  Other / Meta / Re: Most of bounty manager's are too careless about scam ICO. on: June 17, 2018, 06:38:20 PM
I wouldn't say most managers, but there's a lot of campaign managers who will help promote anything with little to no checks just as long as you pay them (especially if they've got little to no rep here). I would say this behaviour just comes down to both greed and inexperience which are both recipes for disaster.

The only reason I can think is that some managers are paid daily/weekly with real btc/eth and if this is true there is no point for them to report a scam even if they find it since they will get money anyway.

NOTE:
This is a personal supposition, I don't know how they are paid.

Most are almost certainly paid a fixed amount every month or for an agreed specific term. I wouldn't trust any of these ICOs to pay me though and many wouldn't if the money wasn't in escrow (especially if their ICO went bad or not as expected). I certainly wouldn't work for them unless they paid me upfront or in fact escrowed the money because far too many would just disappear after they collected in their funds.

Its the reasons above why threads created in the altcoin announcements and bounties should be restricted to full members and above. There should probably be a restriction on those who can open campaigns on the services board too.

Anyone can buy a Full Member account or above, or just hire someone to do it for them and this is what usually happens.
3168  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 17, 2018, 06:29:21 PM
He could have just asked for a loan if he needed money and someone would have likely given him it,
I think it is pretty clear Bruno is not interested in repaying the $600 he was trying to get for his account, hence he listed it for sale.

The notion that someone should take out a loan they have no interest in repaying should be condemned. The same is true for those who lack the ability to repay a loan.
Well that's wrong, Bruno has already paid back suchmoon.

He hasn't paid Darkstar back yet and I think QS is right on this one. Gleb clearly doesn't care about his accounts that much because he has a history of taking loans out on them and also not paying them back. The fact that he would try sell or borrow based on them and for so little says a lot about him to be honest and that's behaviour that I can't trust.

3169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: June 17, 2018, 06:21:27 PM
I'm waiting for Brazil performance tonight , after seeing the big names performance if Brazil also disappointed me today I'm going to place Portugal to win the title
I already have spain to win that I was able to catch at X7.80 and looking at Germany today I guess I can eliminate it from winning cause there is no way they can win with such performance

Portugal is a one guy team , but Ronaldo never stops surprising us so I do believe there is a chance just like the previous EURO

The Spain/Portugal came has been by far the best match/performance so far, but I wouldn't get too excited about Portugal or write off any other team just yet. As they say, it's not how you start the tournament but how you finish it. Spain lost their opening game in 2010 and went on to win it, but Germany are just going to have to make sure they slaughter Sweden and Korea and hope those two can get a draw or a low-scoring win.

Brazil just scored. Nothing exciting so far though.
3170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: June 17, 2018, 05:32:28 PM
Mexico did very well and they deserved the win. Game was pretty much 50/50.

Also, Germany could be 2nd place in the group, and if Brazil wins their group, then we'll get Brazil vs Germany in the Round of 16!

I hope not. This will fuck up a lot my bets so bad if it happens. I have Germany to meet Brazil in the final plus them both to get to the semis along with France and Spain plus some other bets. Really hope Germany can come out on top but that's pretty hard to do if you lose a game.
3171  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 17, 2018, 10:42:41 AM
I think it is a shame that good members of the forum should have to lose the benefits of their previous support for the forum. Here is my suggestion for a possible solution that does not result in the transfer of the account, and its possible degredation as a result.

A respected member operates a signature rental business, and he can prepay for a 3 month ( say) rental to help to relieve immediate financial stress for the member with difficulties. The promoted products shoul not be bounty or airdrops, but should be reputable businesses. This will avoid the degredation of the members account. This will not be a loan, so as long as the member continues to contribute to the forum, he will not have to repay the advance.

"Good" members of the forum shouldn't be trying to sell their accounts for any reason even if they're desperate for money. People can use their rep for all types of nefarious activity because they have a certain amount of trust. This whole situation doesn't make any sense to me but it's clear that Gleb tried to sell the account or at the very least loan it out to someone, and my guess is someone gave him money to borrow it so they could try join Chipmixer. He could have just asked for a loan if he needed money and someone would have likely given him it, but this is exactly the issue because the same would still apply after the account changes hands and why it could have easily been abused.
3172  Other / Meta / Re: sig campaign- what about "1merited post per week" instead of"25 post per week" on: June 17, 2018, 10:31:15 AM
Bounty managers don't have an incentive to stop spammers: they pay a fixed amount of made-up Tokens. If ten times more people join, they just all get a smaller part of the pie, but the campaign gets more exposure.

This is is the issue here really. A select few of the best campaign managers can run their campaigns excellently with zero spammers on there like Darkstar and Chipmixer for example, but when you've got dozens of crapcoin campaigns which pop up and accept hundreds of users each it's useless and they just dwarf everybody else by the thousands. You have to remember the crapcoin campaigns don't care about the quality of posts or how it effects this forum, and the more people shitposting with their signature the better. Running a campaign is probably at least a part-time job if not a full one but when people can get away with doing nothing they will. Would you turn up to work everyday if you were still going to get paid regardless of whether you got out of bed or not? Same situation here. Crapcoin campaign managers aren't going to do any work when they don't need to and this is the source of the problem.
3173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: June 17, 2018, 10:18:42 AM
Currently second on the leaderboard, but not happy with it Tongue

Need to be first to continue my tournament winning streaks on the forum Smiley

do group stage positions count as well for the end ?

Yes. Points will be added up from both leagues.

Nigeria just became the first team in history to score 2 consecutive own goals in 2 different World Cups, last one in Brazil 2014 and now in the game that is actually being played. Talking about hall of shame I think Nigeria fits in perfectly and Croatia will have an easy win tonight.
I'm one of those who overestimated Nigeria, especially after that win vs Argentina 2-4 in one of the last friendlies. I thought they were going to be a hard matchup for Croatia, but their performance yesterday was horrendous, and tbh, they might actually be the weakest team in the group...a bit surprising considering Iceland is in the group.

Nigeria aren't up to much, but I wouldn't put too much weight on friendly results as they're often misleading and squads often don't put out their strongest squads. Iceland shouldn't be underestimated though. They rivalled Argentina the other day, though Argentina played poor. They also knocked out England in the Euros remember. Can't say I'm that excited about the Serbia/Costa Rica match today. Serbia are the strong favourites but I don't think they'll have an easy win and the game could be a dull one. Looking forward to the Brazil and Germany games though especially as they're the only two big teams out of the top 4 that haven't played yet. I've backed both Germany and Brazil to get into the final and either of them to win so hoping for a good performance to give me some confidence.
3174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: June 16, 2018, 02:26:08 PM
Yeah, really disappointed by Argentina so far. Similar performance to Uruguay. Neither are going to get very far if they play like this. Would still love to see Argentina face Portugal but I'd say Portugal were a far better team so far. Hopefully they'll pull their finger out. Need Argentina to win for my accumulator.

Messi just missed a penalty as well.
3175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup and Premier League Predictor Football Pool on: June 16, 2018, 02:02:36 PM
I'll look into the points situation later, but are you sure you're not looking at the player vs player table or you didn't get extra points for the bonus questions? The website and app are a piece of shit though.

I just created a new thread for the upcoming Premier League pool so please sign up there if you're interested: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4479837.new#new

Please keep this thread to the discussion of the world cup and the pool now. Thanks.
3176  Other / Meta / Re: Is deleting and reusing posts allowed? on: June 16, 2018, 09:54:28 AM
I'll have to look into it before I act, but people have been banned for just copying their own posts or reposting them after deleting them because it's pure spam and obvious cheating just for your signature campaign. How often are they doing this? Continually? How much of a gap is there between making the post, deleting it, then reposting it on another account? You should probably tag the accounts at least if you believe them to be cheating.
3177  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 16, 2018, 09:47:54 AM
Gleb Gamow account has been sold or the owner has attempted to sell. This account should have negative trust.  It's no coincidence this user has recently joined a paid signature campaign. I waited awhile for the account user to come clean but since he didn't I am posting the proof.

You still haven't explained this (though I guess there's nothing to explain as everyone can see what went on). Despite your protestations, you tried to sell the account, all the account's details then changed, you staked a new bitcoin address, then for the first time in your history here you try join the highest paid signature campaign on the forum.

I have no plans whatsoever in participating in any form of shady shit, bud ... unless it's with goat shit under a giant elm tree (read: in the shade).

You look and sound like good ol' Bruno, which is good enough for me.

He still sounds like someone pretending to be Bruno to me. Any long-time member knows how he acts around here and anyone who's at least half-intelligent could probably parody him successfully to some degree, though I admit he's doing a pretty good job, but something just seems off. Language is still a little different and out of the ordinary for me. Just seems like someone trying too hard to be him.

If Bruno and the hypothetical buyer are in cahoots then it's impossible to verify the ownership of the account in any conceivable way. Same applies to any account. So we are basically trying to come up with probabilities.

Well that's certainly why the feedback should stay, but I think it's safe to say the account did change hands and the proof is there that he at least tried to sell it so that warrants the feedback alone.

I know I brought up the QS conspiracy theory but I think the probability of that one is quite low.

I have no reason to believe QS does have it, but somebody does (or did).
3178  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 15, 2018, 11:54:26 PM
I'll just leave this here:

PS: Will somebody fuckin call me at 702-981-5600 to confirm I am who I say I am.

That's not sufficient proof that you are the original owner. All I think it is is that Bruno is still willing to provide this as proof so you don't get busted.

Still doesn't explain this either:

EDIT: ONLY the Legendary user account is available with the other two being sold.

Selling PRIMO Legendary account.

Asking price is $600 obo via BTC, BCH or ETH. Includes 4 other good BCT user accounts you could use for sig campaigns, of which I've never participated in.

Leave message on this thread if you sent a PM inquiring. I'll be watching this thread with my other account(s).

sMerits available on three of the accounts. This is the only one that doesn't have any.

EDIT: $350 firm for just the Legendary account. Best act quickly before somebody else snatches up this primo account.

Also, it looks like The Pharmacist just tagged this account but the other accounts available are NOT tagged.

The account has almost certainly changed hands regardless of any pictorial or telephonic proof gleb wants to post.

Yes I can shed some light on the matter. At one time it was for sale but no longer after finding out that such wasn't permitted in spite of believe such was, even posting such as proof. I was mistaken. I in no way wanted to get my cred in jeopardy while serving the community along with advancing my ICO.

1) You've been here long enough to know how things work around here.
2) If that was the case, why did you use a throwaway account to sell it?

Something still seemed off to me. It's the posting/use of language that is different.

Sold it and then reclaimed? Thus multiple password changes.

Sold it to Quicksy with some sort of revenue sharing deal? Thus Quicksy so eager with proof.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if QS was the one that bought it.
3179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup and Premier League Predictor Football Pool on: June 15, 2018, 11:21:23 PM
I've watched all the games so far and the quality between them all and the Spain/Portugal game was stark. Made the others look like Sunday football really. I'm sure it will probably be the best game during the group stage and there's probably not really any others I'm looking forward to that much. I wonder how far Portugal can go? I'd love to see them play Argentina at one point. If Portugal and Argentina finish first they will likely meet in the quarters assuming they both pass the round of 16. I'd love to see them in the final but I don't think Ronaldo and co can go that far, but they lucked out on the Euros so who knows.

The Portugal vs Spain match is just the icing on the cake that my accumulator would get shafted by an own goal...Unfortunately for me too I didn't predict a draw in this World Cup pool for either one of the matches that my accumulator was right on.

Here's to hoping for a better day tomorrow.

It's a real shame about the Iran game for both of us. I have one accumulator left that I had the draw on but it's a ridiculously long one I put 5p on lol. Three games have come in so far but all the rest are mostly strong favourites (I need France, Argentina and Croatia tomorrow).
3180  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 15, 2018, 11:06:17 PM
If Gleb needed money he could have just joined a signature campaign or asked for a loan. It would be interesting to know why he sold the account or if he just lost access to it somehow.

PS: Will somebody fuckin call me at 702-981-5600 to confirm I am who I say I am.

That's not sufficient proof that you are the original owner. All I think it is is that Bruno is still willing to provide this as proof so you don't get busted.

We believed you with the evidence of the photo before

Something still seemed off to me. It's the posting/use of language that is different.
