3161  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 27, 2022, 10:27:20 AM
Today, 15 hours before the end of betting, I placed a bet on the "$27,501 - $30,000" range because the current 9.59 for this range looks very attractive.

OK, attractive, but does it make any sense?

You think it's impossible for BTC to end up in the "$27,501 - $30,000" range in the end of the month? C'mon! Smiley We still have more than 3 days left, and I'm optimistic about it. Btw, the odds are even better now, 10.78. Go, Bitcoin, go!

I like the optimism of FreeBitco.in users too.

Yes, I like your optimist too ;-) It is kind of win-win situation for me. Low price - I won my bet; High price - BTC is alive again Wink

I like this type of bets on BTC price too. I "won" many of such bets in the past. "Won" in quotation marks because the bets were actually lost, but we feel like winners when Bitcoin goes up, all of us here, don't we? Smiley

Any of you guys placed any bets for the BTC/ ETH price prediction this time ?
I found ETH price betting to be more rewarding this time since the odds are better for ETH than BTC.
Below are my bets and I think I might win something this time.

I missed it. You are right, amazing odds for the "$1,251 - $1,500" range, 6.37. It is very likely that ETH will end up there. I would even bet on the "$1,751 - $2,000" range with 7.82 odds. Those would be my 2 bets, but it's too late now. Good luck, mate!

Relief and Escape Gamblers
Quote
The National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that addictions commonly form when people engage in behaviors, like using drugs or gambling, to fulfill an emotional need. Relief and escape gamblers may only seek out gambling as a way to manage their depression, anxiety or other causes of stress.

Escape gamblers may be pretty unsuccessful at winning, though. Due to their emotional state, their decision making and judgment can be poor.
~

Winning money is not the aim of relief and escape gamblers, as far as I understand. There are many ways to manage your depression, anxiety or other causes of stress, and gambling is one of the safest ones. Think, using drugs, alcohol, or, doing some of the extreme sports such as bungee jumping.

Relief and escape gamblers could lose huge amounts of money in a short amount of time and feel higher stress, anxiety and depression in the long-term. ~

That's right. Like with any other medicine(and in this case gambling is a medicine), overuse it - and you are in troubles. Don't do that. Allocate an amount of money which you can afford to lose, maybe not easily, maybe summat you'd spend on going to see a movie, but not more than that, and you'll be OK.
3163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most of us have lived a world of USD dominance, but history changes on: June 27, 2022, 08:49:42 AM
Naa, Bitcoin can never be a world currency. Due to one simple fact: It's backed by nothing.
What do you think the dollar is backed by?
The US government and its economy(largest economy on god's green earth  Wink )

US dollar has the same characteristic and value, which gold had after World War 2(when everyone was broke, and all the currency had to be backed by gold). Hard to counterfeit, fungible, verifiable, etc
A more apt version of gold in this modern era

Maybe it's hard to counterfeit today, but technological development does not stand still, and there's a chance that in the near future very few things will be left that are "hard to counterfeit". Then things like BTC will rule the world, things that are  impossible to counterfeit.
3164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 27, 2022, 08:14:30 AM
- Are gamblers eligible to hold financial positions?

Regular gamblers, yes. Problem gamblers, no. And not only because a company's money are at risk, but because giving money to gamling addicts can aggravate their problem.

- Do problem gamblers deserve a second chance to hold a financial position?

Absolutely. Gambling addiction is treatable. I personally know a guy healed from it several years ago, who've never had any issues since.

~ Addiction could be molded out easily when you do really have that kind of intent in mind on how to make quick bucks without putting much effort on it.

Indeed those are dangerous thoughts that always lead to problems, and not only financial ones.

Gambling isn't there to make quick bucks, it's for entertainment and relaxation. Even poker and sports betting should not be considered as a money making process, let alone purely luck based games like slots.

Yes, slots are addictive because it's fun to play them, and there are so many of them that you can always find a perfect one to your liking. And that's a good thing in general, but don't turn it into something more serious than entertainment.

This reminds me of those old days when I am playing crash game.  I use 0.1% of my fund betting on crash with multipliers 100x, 500x 1000x, 1500x, and 2000x in a single go using auto bet.  I see lots of reds out there but when it hits my maximum multiplier bet, it feels amazing  Grin.  I usually do that until my fund runs out or my bet hit 2000x since the fund used is already considered lost anyway. Don't mimic the kind of strategy I used. it wasn't profitable in the end LOL.
~

There are no profitable strategies for games like dice and crash. You can win only by chance, but let's not forget that your losing is not guaranteed either. So you can last for a long time with your allocated 5 bucks, having fun and enjoying your occassional big wins. Smiley

~

interesting, you said you win almost everyday with 1% chance
but in how many rolls?

Sometimes it's just a few rolls and other times it's over 200. I even won with 1% win chance 2 times in a row a couple of times.

and how you split your total bankroll on that? 100 bets of 1% of total?

My bets are normally very small. I start with less than 0.05% of my bankroll, and then I martingale, I mean I double my bet every 10-20 rolls, and if I lose around 20% of my bankroll I just stop.
3168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to win at gambling? on: June 24, 2022, 09:34:50 AM
~ Honestly, I haven't seen a banker or a casino close ~

Just think of it a little bit. If it were true that every casino was never going bankrupt that would mean the money making machine were invented. You just take a loan to open a casino. Then you paying out the loan from the profits. And then you are a casino owner with no debt, just making money for the rest of your life. Easy, right? No, no, it's not that easy. In fact, many of the newly opened online casinos don't last more than 3 months, first of all because gamblers don't want to play in new places, they prefer the established ones. Secondly, even if you managed to attract people by, say, a low house edge, maintaining a casino with one the lowest house edges is a hard job.
All casinos identical to the house are the winners. Although as a new casino it also all depends on how they provide satisfactory service. Moreover, reputation and feedback from gamblers. Making low house profits is based solely on individual percentages. But the truth is that the casino can make a lot more even if it only takes a small advantage from the players.

It can, but only if many thousands of players are registered there. What I meant to say in my reply to @gunhell16 was that opening a casino is never a guarantee of success. It's hard to attract people to your place, and it's even harder to maintain it on a proper level.

Returning to the topic, Why is it so hard to win at gambling?, I would say that it is harder to profit as a casino owner than as a gambler.
3169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THIS CRASH IS DIFFERENT than previous crashes... The FEDERAL RESERVE is why.... on: June 24, 2022, 08:56:39 AM
~
Here's my theory. People who were cashing out causing this current crash have actually made good money out of the whole thing. Now they are just waiting when it's low enough to buy again. No one wants to be too late, like, "Today it's $20k, I'll wait till it's $15k and then I'll start buying." The next day the price is $25k. "Oh, I'm f*cked! What do I do? Oh, the price is $27k already! I better buy now before it goes up way more." And so on. This way the very people who crashed it will make it go to another ATH.

And if it weren't obvious that BTC is going to be one of the best ways of payment in the future, it would crash completely long time ago.

OP, just don't think you are smarter than millions of the smartest people in the world. That's immodest.
By the time they buy back in it will be the same price they sold at so they wasted their time and also have to pay taxes on what they sold.

I don't understand what you have written, but I think I know what you meant to say: no one ever profited from Bitcoin, people were only wasting their time on buying and selling it, and also some money on taxes. Brilliant! Those are hard facts, right?

Good for you that hit ratio is works pretty well on your game. My experience is far different and the highest return that I can get on the normal spin is x2 but it's very rare so I just decided to play using buy feature since that is what I’m hunting when playing slot game.

The eventis not visible anymore, I’m there is an attached tournament on the spinominal games specifically on demi gods and the prize is what I mention. I don't know if it's already removed or not but that reward pool is the reason why I play that slot games during its initial release.

I really start liking the slot. Smiley Today I went to Duelbits and started playing Duelbits Book of Demi Gods III right away, because I wanted to check it's hit ratio once again after you said that in normal mode even 2x were rare. I hit couple of 0.5x of my bet, and also lost several of bets, but then for the first time in my playing this slot, that magic book, the 3rd one, stopped in the last reel and I won 10 free spins:

And then I was just watching a flick about my winning more and more with those 10 spins:

My bet was only $0.1 so in the end I won 126.5x of it

It was a nice experience. Smiley

~
I have already posted this in other topics, but another method that can help is look if the casino/gambling site is being represented by the trusted campaign managers in BitcoinTalk. I believe there are five campaign managers who are very trusted by the community, who also have proven themselves deserving of that trust, and they have the experience to sense whether a casino is a scam, or not.

This is an effective method. No doubt about that. A respected manager will never run a campaign for a suspicious gambling site. This is the main reason why signature campaigns have been run here. Not because someone can click on your signature and be redirected to a site(those cases are rare), but rather because it can be seen, by whom the site is represented here.

I always avoided these types of gambling games, but I must admit that after seeing them on the Stevewilldoit youtube channel, it does look fun.  Some of those jackpots are massive.  Although I'm sure we don't see all the losses.  Smiley  I can see how exciting it must be to get a bunch of free spins and watch massive multipliers pop up.  Not sure I've seen enough to be lured in quite yet, but maybe one of these days I'll try my luck and see if I can get one of these massive spins as well.

Can you please provide a link for the Blue Samurai game on the Stevewilldoit? I couldn't find it on both channels, Stevewilldoit and SteveWillDoIt Two. Maybe it has something to do with my location, or I'm looking at the wrong places.

Finally, got my first successful challenge here on Stake.com. Winning a bet on Video Poker by hitting 4 OF A KIND. This is also my first time playing this in-house game. ~

I was considering taking part in this one, but then I thought Four of a Kind was too rare to expect hitting it any time soon.

One question for you since you hit it. Smiley When hunting specifically for Four of a Kind, if you flopped Full House would you hold all of it, or hold only 3 cards of one kind and deal?
3174  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 23, 2022, 09:11:08 AM
For those who don't know, you shouldn't necessarily be an artist yourself. No skills in this department? No problem. Just ask your friends or family members  to create a decent piece of art for you, and then submit it. That's what I'm planning to do, anyway. It was allowed before, and I hope the rules haven't changed.
There are no changes to the rules, but you have to be quite careful or at least check first whether the work is original, the work of your friends or family is not the result of plagiarism because if it turns out to be a plagiarized work you can get in trouble. I once tried to get my friend to do this but it's unfortunate because he doesn't know about Roobet so he didn't get the idea to make this art work.

Good point! I think everyone who's outsourcing the job, so to speak, must know that it is his/her responsibility to check the work on plagiarism. You can't say: "Oh, it wasn't me who plagiarized. You can't blame me! It wasn't my fault!" No. Since you are submitting it from your account, you are responsible.

What about BITCOIN PRICE - JUNE, guys? Any bets made by you? It is kind of sad that today the outcome odds for "$10,001 - $15,000" are only 17.73. I remember when BTC was between $60k and $70k the odds for that range were around the same as for "More than $1,000,000"! Smiley

Let's hope, things are going to improve soon. I bet on the "$30,001 - $32,500" range with some nice odds, 9.43. But we still have more than 2 days, so, that can change.

Interesting that $30k+ is considered about twice as likely as <$15,

I like the optimism of FreeBitco.in users too. Although right now, the "$30k+" you mentioned is only about "$30,001 - $32,500" range. The "$32,501 - $35,000" has the same odds as "$10,001 - $15,000".

but I suppose the odds are partially (or mostly?) based on how much money's already riding on the lines, huh?

This is how the outcome odds are determinied on FreeBitco.in, yes.

Steady recovery today but still struggling to put more of a distance from $20k. End of June should end strong.

Today, 15 hours before the end of betting, I placed a bet on the "$27,501 - $30,000" range because the current 9.59 for this range

looks very attractive.
3176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 23, 2022, 08:04:17 AM
Well, there are lots of activities that can trigger dopamine release: listening to your favourite band, making love, shopping, smelling cookies baking in the oven even. So, you basically switch to one of those, and you are fine. That's what I do, anyway.

I agree, that is why I divert myself to other dopamine-producing activities such as playing games when I feel that I am too hooked on my gambling activities.

Yeah, games. Great example. I forgot about it because I myself don't play video games, maybe because no dopamine release is triggered when I play, but, of course, for people who enjoy it, that would be a good substitution.

~
Usually I don't really believe anytime or something I do read up on internet which do tell something which is out or doesn't have sense nor correlating or being realistic.15 months is too long yet addiction to gambling could even happen immediately.  Cheesy

Idk, maybe they are talking about some severe addiction, and for that kind of addiction to develop it takes 15 months, but from my experience 3-4 weeks is enough for finding yourself in a situation when you start thinking, "Am I addicted?"
3177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 22, 2022, 12:17:27 PM
That is so because trading is gambling in a way. You can never be sure about the outcome, you only have probabilities. People who don't understand it, lose a lot in trading. And gamblers that think, I know how to make a bit of money, right? I bet $1k with 98% win chance on dice, and I win 10 bucks easily, right? It's a guaranteed $10 profit, I'll buy myself a beer. And yeah, it works, but only with 98% certainty. And one day ... I mean, it's inevitable, it can happen right away, but it will surely happen one day, and you will lose one thousand USD at once, after risking it for potentially gaining 10 bucks.
I ever experienced this one and it's really fucked up considering I only want to earn steady low profit with low risk, but ended to lose all of my big bet after 10-20+ spins. I'd say 50%-70% win chance on dice are better than 98% win chance, there's some people who take bigger risk to bet on 10-20% win chance because it's more satisfy than rather than 1.01x-2.00x. After that, I wouldn't play dice and roll with 98% win chance, I think everyone already experienced this one.

That's what I'm doing, only not with 10-20% win chance, but with 1% or 0.1% win chance, or even lower. And when you win with that win chance, that's what I call "satisfying". Smiley And this actually happens not that rare as it might seem. It's rare with 0.1% and lower, but with 1% win chance I win almost every day. Just look at my yesterday's hit:

Only don't try to make money this way, guys. It's for entertainment purposes only. Smiley
