 Hello good day to all the members in this forum, Did you know that even if you win at gambling, you lose as well? Don't you think that's how it happened? and that’s the thing that I'd like to tackle about this topic, Because it’s hard to win at gambling, now if you want to know why? Join the conversation here.

 Honestly, I haven't seen a banker or a casino close; the bettor always loses; why is that?
And when we win, how do we feel like that? Isn't it the joy we feel, and we still want to win more and more? And when we feel like this, it is called Greed. So, in other words, the real winner is the Banker and not the gambler, so even if you win 30 times and on the 31st you bet on all the results, you lose, which means it doesn't matter what you won 30 times.

Now let's not prolong this conversation; what if one of your family (Father, Mother, Brother-Sister, or Wife) or relative (Uncle, Auntie) is addicted to gambling or becomes addicted? What do you do? Here is my answer as follows,

- Don't feel guilty

- Never ever blame yourself for their Addiction

It is not easy to get away if you become addicted to gambling, the hard part about that is that you are not aware that you are getting addicted or you are already addicted to it and you will only realize it when you're about to lose everything. I think we have different ways to overcome that addiction and what I discover about myself is to change path from playing gambling to playing games (that doesn't use real money) and some casinos do have demo which works for me. After all, I am only seeking entertainment rather than aiming to win big that's why I think it works for me but just like what I have said we have different ways to avoid gambling one effective thing is talking to medical professionals.

It's because the casino has house edge, so by design, they will always going to win specially if you play long games in any casino. And that's how they make money from us gamblers. Of course, who doesn't want to win more? it's just human nature that we are greedy. So unless you don't control yourself, you might end up losing and then become addicted to it. So if you chance, you won some money already, don't stretch your luck, maybe it's better if you will exit and enjoy your winnings.

As others have stated, it's hard to win at gambling because the odds are against you.  It's pretty simple.  You're hoping that you get lucky most of the time.  Unless you're gambling on sports, then you're not so much betting against the odds, so much as the amount you win is reduced so that the casino will come out ahead (yes, I understand that's literally called the odds). 

Like I always say, gamble for the entertainment and you'll win every time.

I agree it is hard to win in gambling due to the non-stop attraction and pleasure that it gives to us.  We find it hard to stop when we are feeling good, entertained or happy because we wanted to experience that sensation again and again.

There are some casino that shutdown, as we can see in the gambling board, there are previous casino that cease to exist, though we don't know the reason, mismanagement, bankruptcy, or whatever.

Why should I feel guilty, I am not the reason why they are hooked on gambling, and besides they are mature enough to be responsible for what they are doing.  And blaming one another won't solve the problem, it is best to consult a medical expert on addiction on how to cure the member's addiction.  I think it is the best path.

That is why it is good to gamble responsibly, to never be addicted and to used just the amount of money you can afford to lose. Gambling should be fun, gambling companies are always making profit but gambling responsibly will be helpful for gamblers. Some people just play with low amount and not gambling often, even if they lose, they do not mind and they are not affected or emotional about it but just see it as nothing but another time to play and expecting either to win or lose. Anyone that bet, lose and is emotionally affected should cut his betting amount he is using to stake to avoid the negative impact of gambling.

Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, there are banks that close (go bankrupt) just like casinos. For different reasons, in the case of casinos, it is usually because they fail to attract customers. If they have customers and betting limits so that they don't break the bank, they are money-making machines. The thing about banks is that they operate like a legalised ponzi scheme.

But I agree with the general idea that you are more likely to make money if you own a casino than if you are a gambler at that casino.

I agree that sometimes it's better to lose because it discourages us from playing. In the case of a win, our hunger for winning increases and it is certain that in the log run we will lose much more than we have won.
I don't really understand the second part of your post. However, if any of my relatives were addicted to gambling, I would certainly take this person to a specialist as soon as possible. Any addiction needs specialist help.

If you understood the mathematics behind gambling, you wouldn't ask that question. Specifically concepts like Expected Value or House Edge. To gamble, with the exception of some skill games like poker, where you can make positive expected value moves, means inexorably losing money in the long run.

People who don't understand this get hooked by having won a jackpot some times and look for that feeling again, but if you understand what's behind it, you see that the more you bet the closer your results will be to the expected value. That is, the more you bet the more losses you are going to have, regardless of the fact that you win a jackpot from time to time.

Is this a trick question or something? House edge exists so in the long term, gamblers would always always lose money to the casino. Now on the probability side, the chances are always 50/50 and probably gets reduced depending on the settings of the bet you set e.g. in dice, and each chance is independent of the games before it so yes, the minimum chance is always 50% (to win and lose).

It's because they're doing a great job in running the casino. You may argue that house edge is a scam and it steals money from its users, but let's not be dumb, casinos exist to do exactly that. Otherwise, casinos probably wouldn't exist as a business. Casinos would only close down if the owners left it alone and didn't manage it properly or if they did some stupid sht that got them in trouble.

I will just want to give input about this statement, Bankers never lose because they have unlimited rounds to play while bettor has only a limited number of games due to the bankroll limitation. The chances are you are missing the part of the day where Banker is losing because you are not playing at that moment but try to play non-stop 24hrs while you count the win/loss of banker then you will notice how the game is just changing hands from banker to bettor which almost results to tie or some minor discrepancy. Bettors main disadvantage against banker are only the limited funds and not the game itself. The game is fair and it's up to your luck if you will hit early your winning streak or not.

Hi mate, you should consider the house edge of a casino. It is normal that in long terms, banker will always win. It isn't difficult to win a bet in gambling, the main difficult is to mantain your results without losing

everything, I can ensure you that it is the most difficulty part. If a familiar of mine would be addicted, I'll keep him/her away from the gambling for a long time and will try to explain how to not be addicted and why games

What I can do? So the situation is likely it's because of me that they've become hooked on gambling? Well, I won't blame myself for it because when I tell someone to do what I do, I'm telling them to do it moderately.

And it's their free will to do things on their own.

This is the worst of greediness since you're win streak for 30 times and then put all of your winnings for single bet only! I never put this kind bet since I know I will lose anything that I have earn so far, this is why I never increase my bet even I have won and earn good amount of money. Your won are temporary and you will face a lose streak in the future, the profit you have earn might didn't even enough to cover all of your losses.

There will always be those who cannot stop it, especially if they are relying on mostly winning the game and not having fun. That's how I am before and I learned from a lot of my mistakes. Trying to double the money, for instance, so you can have some spare for yourself but then you lose it. That sucks, and it happened to me before which made me broke.

Losing or winning can be something really bad if you do not know how to deal with it wisely. Losing may make you think to try again and again because you want to recover what you have lost, but most of the time you will lose even more while you try hard to recover.

If what you mean is casino close because they lose their bankroll because too many players win, yes it is rare situation but there are some other cases that make casinos have to close the site. There are many casinos decided to close down because some reasons but most of them did not reveal the exact reason for the decision.
