3161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 01, 2021, 11:53:32 AM

I think this is enough to tell that he can afford.

Manny Pacquiao world’s third-richest boxer behind Floyd Mayweather Jnr and George Foreman

And I don't think it he needs at least 1 billion pesos to fund the campaign. I'm sure he also has some sponsors as he could be the greatest rival of the administration now.

To be honest, what he needs to focus on right now is to win the upcoming fight which will boost his popularity if he ended up victorious by completely dominating his opponent. The fight will determine if he gonna pursue to make his dream to become the next President of the Philippines but if he lost, I think that's one indication he needs to stop his ambition and focus on helping people to which ever things he has right now because presidency doesn't really need if you are sincere for helping people just like Dennis Rodman did when he gives toys to the children on the hospitals, no camera no media or whatsoever just pure good deeds.

Manny Pacquiao is an underdog in this fight and in the coming presidential election, but if I have to choose where to bet, I think I will bet on this fight as he has a good chance of winning here. He can always help people if he wants, but his ambition is too high while his platform is not even realistic, just like when he said that he will give houses to all squatters which we know will not happen.
3162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: August 01, 2021, 11:31:36 AM
Actually, I am more concerned about the health of Davis than of Lebron James, Davis is known to be a fragile big man that can be easily injured, let's look back on his past team, injury is the main reason why the team struggle and that shoulder injury of his is a big one. Lebron is also more careful now, he doesn't drive a lot in the paint like he usually does before, so they need Westbrook to do that and to lessen the burden of Davis.
I forgot that. Thank you.
AD had been on a mess ever since that shoulder injury and it's been going on for 6-7 years I guess.
I think it was May 2021 when it went back with a sprained shoulder.
It's like the Kyrie shoulder injury that messed up his attendance for a lot of years (Celtics, Nets).
Just how I am excited to see how Harden will fit with KD and Kyrie, this WB trade also thrills me to analyze how they are going to play with each other.

AD is less stressed if he is surrounded with great players, unlike with the Pelicans where he has to lift the team, here in Lakers, he has Lebron and now Westbrook to carry the team, so he will not likely get injured, hopefully. The management has to also ensure that he will be healthy in the playoffs as the Lakers can enter the playoffs even with Davis getting limited minutes only.

Yeah, but with the messed the Lakers going into the play-offs, he has somewhat needs to operate more and then injury sets in again. At least them getting out of the playoff early, he can go and check with the medical doctors and will have ample time now to recover and rehab his body in preparation for the next season. And with Westbrook around, maybe he doesn't need to score more often as they have other options now.

Westbrook will contribute to the team, that's expected, he is not shy of making contributions and he still maintains his triple-double average even playing in another team, now he will go to the Lakers, they will be a threat as it's not only Davis and Lebron who will be a threat, their opponent has to also watch out for Westbrook as he can explode anytime he wants.

Maybe Westbrook's FG percentage will also increase now he team up with the best in the NBA.
3163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 01, 2021, 10:44:13 AM
Phoenix led by 5 points at the half, the score is 45-40 and TNT seem to have a problem with the defense of the Phoenix.
Will see if TNT will come back or Phoenix will just dominate them.

Lost my first game bet but won the second, break-even for me this day. Both games are close with the winning teams failed to cover the spread.

Mikey Williams played for almost 38 minutes, registering 9 points by way of 4-19 from the field, that's a very low percentage but yet he got heavy minutes so this means that coach Chot has confidence in this guy.

It's still good for the TNT as they won, they are giving Mikey Williams the opportunity to prove himself and I believe eventually he will be able to improve and be more consistent, though he is only rookie in papers but still its his first season in the PBA.

What a comeback by the TNT, Troy Rosario was great, he was getting rebounds and follow-up shot when his teammates are missing.

I think he is the most consistent in this game.

congrats to you @bisdak40 , you still won.
3164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin worth so much? on: July 31, 2021, 10:41:26 PM
~
Well there are many coins trying to be Bitcoin, but Bitcoin already solved what others are even trying.
It is like Bitcoin is already about to go home, while they are still on the way on their destination.
It's like a lot of coins have been tried to beat bitcoin but none of them succeeded. Simply, because bitcoin is the number one and the most trusted digital currency in the market. No wonder that bitcoin has the most expensive value that everyone who gets to know bitcoin are definitely craving to have it even a single one.

And having bitcoin as a store of value also made it worth the keep. Not just in trading bitcoin you can make huge profits, but even by simply hodling bitcoin, the result is still worth the risk.
3165  Economy / Economics / Re: If you can get paid through cryptocurrency, do you still choose fiat currency? on: July 31, 2021, 10:23:44 PM
It would depend on the current market situation I guess. It could be better if they will pay me in crypto or bitcoin to be specific if its value is high but if it is low or in the verge of falling down even more, I would then prefer fiat currency as a payment for my service. I think some company out there in the world are already practicing paying their employees cryptocurrency. Looking back with El Salvador's decision of making bitcoin a legal tender, there's a high possibility that it would work out well for them as their citizens gets more oriented to cryptocurrencies.
I think if we will be educated with crypto, just like what El Salvador has done to their citizens, then having crypto as a salary is not a problem. The problem with crypto is its high volatility so whenever the price falls down, i will choose fiat over crypto. Aside from the reason that most of the basic necessities are getting paid in fiat, crypto has no fixes value because it fluctuates every now and then. Maybe in the future, if crypto has its high fixed value, then getting paid on it is never really a problem.
3166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: once again the market is trying to break the resistance on: July 31, 2021, 09:54:33 PM
You know right now the market is trying to recover. this can be seen from the price of bitcoin which rose to 38k, followed by ethereum, bnb and other large altcoins which experienced a significant increase today. once again bitcoin tries to break the resistance, after several failed attempts. here's another chance to break the 40k price tag. so does ethereum, last week ETH fell below 2k. but the situation did not last long and the price shot up to its current price. if the situation is favorable whether the market will start another rally.

There is information that the second stage of growth has probably already begun, but one should not think that prices for cryptocurrencies will recover very quickly. It is believed that by the end of 2021 we will see a new flight to the moon, which will allow cryptocurrency prices to show new ATHs. if you can wait then wait and I hope we all have great profits.
Everytime the market price takes another leap, it does not mean all the time that bullish season is heading. Sometimes, price correction takes place easily and i think its the reason why we should not be too much confident especially that this market is very volatile.

However, if we can see bitcoin price breaks it resistance level at $40k, and then the price still soaring high, then mostly likely bull season is already coming our way. So let's be more patient while waiting for it.
3167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin bull market back on: July 31, 2021, 09:42:07 PM
You will experience losses if you will sell your BTC at the lowest price, but don't be dumb if you will sell your BTC under the price where you purchase.

This is correct. The only way for an investor to lose money is to sell at a price that is lower than the one they bought at. I see no reason for anyone to do this, at least as far as Bitcoin investments are concerned.

They say buy the dip and sell them when the price is at its peak. Of course, if you sell them with a lower amount, you will definitely be in great losses. So as much as possible, sell only when the bull season is definitely happening.

I see the condition of the market is starting to recover. And if more positive news will affect the market, this bullish season will come earlier from what we expected. Not just news alone, influential persons like Elon Musk and its alike, will also create huge impact on the market so let's wait and see then.
3168  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it easier to HODL if you are already rich? on: July 31, 2021, 09:28:02 PM
One of those successful cases of bitcoin hodling was a friend of a friend. They (a couple) took an important risk by investing 60k of a dismissal compensation into bitcoin and making a x100 on it before selling half. I do not know what they did with the rest. Now, these people were not rich, they took an enormous risk compared to their total wealth. They had to really believe on the project and pass though some of bitcoins usual "tests of faith".

For someone with let´s say, a net worth of 1M USD or more plus house, hodling 60k until they became 6M would have been not that much of an stress. Do you think it was easier to benefit economically from bitcoin if you were already a bit up in the ladder?

No I do not think that at all.

I know it is easier which is always true when you are far enough ahead in any game.
I think rich people have the advantage when it comes to hodling their coins. They don't easily feel stress and be disappointed whenever the price started to decline because they are already financially stable. Unlike those who needed money badly most of the time, they will always want to make more profits even if the market is not yet stable. So they become panic when the price tends to move in opposite ways. This is the reason why most of them resort into panic selling because they have fears that they will lose even more if they still hodl when they see the prices keeps on deteriorating.
3169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market situation is deteriorating day by day.. on: July 31, 2021, 09:10:45 PM
When the market is in decline then all investors feel worried both large and small investors, ...

And then you are wrong...
Not all investors will be worried when there is a decline, but this is mostly happening to newcomers due to their level of market understanding. In fact, these old investors will seem to be happy when seeing a situation like this as they have a chance to buy more coins, a huge difference from what you're thinking. Because if even all investors will behaving that way, I see no future for crypto but instead to seeing this market collapse.
Instead of panicking, big and experienced investors are sure to take advantage of the market downturn to fill their bags with more. especially those who are experienced and have a lot of reserve funds.
To be able to invest calmly and not panic, I always recommend investing with knowledge first. with our knowledge it will be easier to determine the best strategic steps and strive to minimize the risk of a highly volatile market. do not use this as a gamble and risk your luck, at least do a market analysis and read a lot before deciding to choose a coin.
Gaining knowledge before making such investments is definitely a must thing to do. If you lack knowledge, this is the reason why investors don't have certain goals and still end up committing lossess.

This crypto market has its bull and bearish season. With bull run, everyone expects more profits  to attain but when bearish season happens, why is that they tend to lose hope and resort into panic selling? If this is your mindset, you will surely won't last in crypto. Bearish season will always give us good opportunity to accumulate more potential coins so there is no need to worry. Instead, be more positive when dip comes as it demands more patience and perseverance so you can be successful and profitable when bullish season finally started.
3170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting paid in Bitcoin vs getting paid in Fiat on: July 30, 2021, 09:49:51 PM
What I would prefer is when the btc payment is fixed to fiat (e.g $100 worth of btc) would be great, this will prevent the receivers from the market volatility, receiving payment in btc is only good when the market is very big bullish, but when the dip occurs, any project paying in have plans for the project and wouldn't want anything that will affect the price, however,  there are also few alts that pay in alts tokens which are actually worth is þþ because such tokens already trading in the exchange.
Bitcoin is very volatile since day  one but maybe when bitcoin will be given as a salary in the future, its value will be already fixed. I'm afraid if i chooses bitcoin and suddenly the price dumps, so i would end up having less amount of salary received.

For now, since bitcoin is not yet totally adopted as a legal currency, i prefer to get paid in fiat. The basic needs are mostly paid in fiat and only few merchants are only receiving bitcoin as a payment. Maybe in the near future, bitcoin will already be served as an option to fiat, then that's the time that i will choose bitcoin over fiat.
3171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee? on: July 30, 2021, 07:52:11 PM
As far as I know, it's not really about investing for the long term, it's if the coin or project is one that's sustainable for the long period, for example, what makes Bitcoin a coin that an investor can regard as a long term investment is that the product is a long term product that will prolly reach mainstream adoption in years to come. Having said that, investing in pump and dump coins doesn't mean you'll earn profits, which by extension means there are no guarantees, your chances of loss is somewhat higher than that of profit, thus you should actually DYOR on the product you want to invest in for the long term and not just basically investing in any coin for the long term.
Even if you invest into bitcoin for long term, i must say there is still no assurance for it. Remember how volatile the market is and the price will always have its pump and dump anytime of the day. Having bitcoin into long term investment might be less risky compared to altcoins so better focus in bitcoin and maybe reserve a small portion for those altcoins who were in the top 50 CMC. It's good to invest in crypto as long as you have those coins with great potentials and you are making DYOR everytime you make decisions.
3172  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin doesn't care about Tesla and Amazon on: July 30, 2021, 01:15:52 PM
I sometimes think that those who do this kind of screens are sometimes under the Itachi's Genjutsu Cheesy
What really gives you a reason to say that in the title when your arguments actually prove the different idea? Technical analysis has nothing to do here.
Okay, let's see how everything happened:
Overall, there is an expectation that after the halving, bitcoin's price should significantly rise. It happened that way and went up to 20K. Then what happened? PayPal announces that it will accept Bitcoin and it increased the price. Then Elon Musk announces that Tesla will accept the crypto and then price rises again and then the rise continue until his tweet that really destroyed the whole crypto market. His tweets had so much influence that it not only seriously affected the Bitcoin's price but at the same time he was seriously hyping the Dogecoin and it had an enormous increase in price.

After Elon's tweet, it was looking like the market was rebounding but then the China announced mining ban and it finally crashed the market without the chance of rise. Then, what happened? Btc was playing between low price range and one day the rumor leaked that Amazon is going to accept the price and it quickly reached the 40K price, liquidated a lot of short positions on futures market.

So, yeah, it's price is very dependant on this kind of actions and the result from these announcements is almost immediate.
Tesla accepted Bitcoin for the first time, and huge transactions pushed up its price. There have been reports recently that Amazon as the world's largest retailer will accept encryption, which is also big news for his own creation. Enter the Bitcoin world and make it public, thereby enhancing the credibility of Bitcoin in the eyes of the public. This will affect the price of Bitcoin in the short term.
Bitcoin is incredibly resilient, and in the long run, price changes do not come from these major events. Bitcoin is a real revolution and does not need its players. Bitcoin is the future.
Major events are definitely leaving a huge impact into bitcoin, either it causes bitcoin to dump or even pump. But one thing is certain, even if the news made it to dump, it will always bound to recover again and surprisingly settles into its new heights.

Amazon has now clear the issue and says its only a rumor and there's no reality in it. Bitcoin then immediately made a correction but after a while, bitcoin has even reached into $40k. From this, we can see how bitcoin becomes so flexible that after it dumps, the price turns out into very positive again which made the people to trust bitcoin even more.
3173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bye Bye Bitcoin on: July 30, 2021, 12:37:53 PM
bye bitcoin, very scary and scary sentence, that's how people hate bitcoin, when they can't control bitcoin, they will do anything to bring bitcoin down, including saying inappropriate words, I feel bitcoin has gone through all the challenges, and people those who have played and know bitcoin for a long time, of course, whatever sycophants post about bitcoin, I'm sure they won't care..
For those who have known bitcoin seriously, things like this won't be a big issue anymore because we have seen already news related to this even before. And banning of bitcoin will not be the best solution since it will only attract more people to get into bitcoin and this is really inevitable.

This article has even made no difference at all and leaves no impact not just for bitcoiners but even to those non-bitcoiners. So bye bye for bitcoin will no longer happen today, not even in the near future. Instead, bitcoin adoption is already waving.
3174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the Best coin in 2021 on: July 29, 2021, 09:53:38 PM
Hello Guys, can you tell me which is the best coin in 2021 to take maximum profit and gain?? Plz give your opinion

the best source for analyzing the best bitcoin is coinmarketcap. so my suggestion is that you look and analyze the altcoins listed on CMC and you choose the order of the top 1 - 50. so you have data for consideration before you choose altcoins as an investment. and currently I have made a long term investment in SHIBA INU coin because I think this coin will increase in the future and will bring me a big profit. you can see examples like Dogecoin.
These meme coins might only last for short term but i respect your own choice. We have different views on the coins based from our own researches. And to be more reliable, the top 10 coins in CMC might be profitable too.

I still chose to invest in bitcoin, ethereum in BNB. They have different usage so i think they will excell in their own great platform. With bitcoin, i know it will always the best choice. But with altcoins, we should be more careful from choosing it what to invest we won't make any regrets in the end.
3175  Economy / Economics / Re: knowledge and Capital which is Very important in Business or Investment? on: July 29, 2021, 09:31:26 PM
both are related to each other and both are very important to exist you can't choose which one is important to the other.
because if there is no knowledge but there is no sufficient capital it will definitely not work well, maybe you can still invest by explaining to people to want to entrust their money to be invested and run by us but that is very unlikely to be able to do so.
on the other hand if you have money but your knowledge is not there it is tantamount to killing yourself and wasting your money for free.
both are very important and must be there so that everything is in balance
I have to say I respectfully disagree a bit, we are talking about something that is a bit different in capital and knowledge. When you have the knowledge but no capital, you can't make any money because you have no capital, depends on how wise you are you can try but it is going to be hard. When you have the capital, you can waste money, you have the capital for it and try and learn to be better and eventually reach to a point where you can actually make a profit, which with a lot of money you can do it.

Of course these all comes down to one thing, how much knowledge we are talking about and how much capital are we talking about. If we talk about zero knowledge but 10 billion dollars, you can still profit, if we mean EVERYTHING to know but zero dollars you can still make some profit, my point only stands in a situation where a person has a mediocre of one and zero of the other.
For me, knowledge without capital is worthless because you won't get any profits if you don't have the money to get it started. Same goes for money without skills and knowledge. You will only venture into a business without setting a goal so just as expected, it will only end up zero value.

Knowledge should always go hand in hand so we will reach the end point which is clearly the success of the business or investment. These two will always be the best capital for a successful goal.
3176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon is looking to accept Bitcoin payments by the end of the year on: July 28, 2021, 09:42:07 PM
Can be of interest:

Amazon is looking to accept Bitcoin payments ‘by the end of the year’, and is investigating its own token for 2022, says an insider:

https://www.cityam.com/amazon-definitely-lining-up-bitcoin-payments-and-token-confirms-insider/
I'm not sure about the validity of this news, amazon has said it's just an untrue issue...

but we don't know if Amazon will accept Bitcoin in 2022, maybe they will change their mind. Bitcoin adoption can't be denied, sooner or later they have to do it.
Of course, those who have closed their doors for bitcoin might eventually change their minds and will soon to accept bitcoin in the long run. Bitcoin adoption is inevitable and that big or small companies will soon to be accepting bitcoin so they can cope up with this fast changing world of big technologies.

For now, we may feel upset if amazon will not yet accept bitcoin as a payment method but sooner or later, bigger companies will open doors for bitcoin and will surely create huge impact on the market.
3177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC fall below $20,000? Bargain hunting? on: July 28, 2021, 03:23:21 PM
In my opinion, Bitcoin could weaken to $20,000 which biwould be a 50% drop. however Bitcoin could still rebound after a significant drop to the next support level. we'll see if that holds true in the future. Bitcoin price may plunge below it temporarily and close above it. If it is actually broken, $25,000 is the next level of support.
The last drop for bitcoin was at $29k and then it goes up surging. But the fact that bitcoin can be very volatile and any negative news that come, bitcoin will be directly affected. So there are still chances that it will fall down into $20k and maybe it will start to rebound from there.

However, if there will be continues update for positive news, then bitcoin will not touch $20k anymore. It will start heading into bull run and its previous ATH from $60k might be even doubled this year. So just keep your faith  in bitcoin.
3178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 26, 2021, 04:06:36 PM
Who knows, Greg might win the MVP in this conference, if he keeps his dominant game and stay consistent

If he maintains those numbers, he will always be on the MVP ladder.

If I'm not mistaken, in the first week of the PBA, he's one of the tops in terms of stats.
He can't be an MVP if his team is not winning, just like Perez with the DYIP, he was the stop scorer of the team and leading the PBA for points, but he did not win an MVP because his team has a very low standing.

JMF is still adjusting and it's not easy to get back his confidence, so he might not get back to his old self this season, a chance for other teams to beat them.

From what I have seen to him, the confidence is there but the problem is, his body is not cooperating.

That's the result of a long break while fully recovering from his injury. But I'm sure he's working for that and few games more, he will know if there's a problem with him either physically and mentally.

We've seen this in the past, Fajardo has been injured many times and always come back to being an MVP, it might take time so let's be patient and wait for it, besides, SMB does have a lot of stars and they don't just rely on Fajardo, it's time for Tautua to shine and help this team to win.
3179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on friendly matches on: July 26, 2021, 03:45:19 PM
Betting on friendly matches is truly very risky, the underdog may win and have more chances to win if compared to cups and leagues.
Is it because you see that a friendly is a match that is not played with a high focus for win?
I think it's a real risk of a friendly match because the favorite team usually doesn't play more of its star players which make the match very boring in my opinion.
If you are putting a bet you'll never feel bored especially if you are seeing that your team is wining.
believing that the favorite will not perform their best, you should put your bet on the underdog, better odds, and a better chance of winning.
Lost of games in the past that an underdog won in an exhibition or friendly match, so people are attracted to gamble.
3180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: July 26, 2021, 02:42:38 PM
No, they are not, and they should not.

one you gamble, that means you understand the risk and what you bet is what you can afford to lose.
if you look at the reality in gambling which is most gamblers lose money, you should know how to manage the risk and that is gambling with limit.

The problem only exists to gamblers if they don't know the risk and they get careless as that would result to irresponsible gambling and we know what would happen to an irresponsible gambler.
