3161  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin back to 8k$!! Is this recovery or a trap? on: April 17, 2018, 12:32:17 PM
When rising is considered a trap, when down is considered a downturn. I do not understand what they want. In investment or trading, a fluctuation is normal because with market fluctuations coming to life, only we must be able to determine the exact time of fluctuations that occur to gain profit. Do not hesitate to make a decision, better buy than just stunned monitor price movements in the market that finally missed the momentum to buy even take advantage.
What they want is a confirmation of the trend. A lot of people got shocked on how Bitcoin moves up away from the 6,600$ level when its reached at least 8,000$ in just less than 30 minutes or so. Instead of people rejoicing on its price rally some of them got worried that this might be the last pump of BTC before it goes down below 6,500$. People don't care about the current fluctuations now as they are aiming for that "sure" buy and sell moment. Right now they are worried that this price rally is some kind of bull trap which I think it is because the price is going up although the volume is going down signifying that BTC is still bearish.

But then when you look at its hourly chart it keeps forming "bull flag" and "triangles" which signifies that Bitcoin is trying to break out. So to keep it short BTC is giving as mix signals which will give our analysis inconclusive on what will happen next.
3162  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk = Altcoin Forum? on: April 17, 2018, 10:05:34 AM
Personally I think theymos should exclude altcoin related forums from appearing on "unread posts" function.
Just ignore those boards (easy fix):

Profile > Under "Modify Profile" (left part of the screen), look for the last option on the list ("Ignore Boards Preferences") > Check those boards > Click "change profile".
Don't forget to add Local Boards as well. I have tried (for the sake of curiosity) blocking only the Altcoin Cryproturrencies sections (including all of its child boards) and after applying it I tried to visit the "Show unread posts since last visit." and it still showed translated ANN threads of ICO in different local boards.  After checking all (which is a lot) Local Boards voilą all the threads in the "Recent Unread Topics" are almost Bitcoin related.

I think it's better to think of Bitcointalk = cryptocurrency forum. It just so happens that for the longest time, cryptocurrency was synonymous with Bitcoin. That is clearly no longer the case, and it seems silly to me to limit the scope of discussion just because we have to strictly adhere to the domain name's suggested topic.
I agree, even if our forum name is named after Bitcoin, I still see the Altcoin section in the forum very active as a lot of people are searching for the "next Bitcoin" also a lot of them are participating bounties and air drops. In my own opinion Bitcointalk as a forum does not need to limit itself to purely topics involving BTC as other altcoins play an important role in the whole crypto market in general.
3163  Economy / Services / Re: [Service] Buy anything From Aliexpress or Amazon. on: April 17, 2018, 08:07:17 AM
I am interested in availing your services but I don't see any previous feedbacks relating from your services. So do you have any previous customers who have availed your service? Also suppose that the item shipped to me was defective how will you handle things? Because from what I know 30 days is the max for a return and exchange of a defective product (depending on the manufacturer) in Amazon, and judging from my previous international transactions shipping it to me and back to you will be more than 30 days.
3164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 17, 2018, 06:18:08 AM
Yesterday was a close match between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets, but unfortunately the Houston Rockets outmatch the Timberwolves in the 4th quarter of the game. Things to not at is Karl Anthony Towns needs a wake up call, the intensity of a play off game is not getting into him scoring just 8 points in the whole game, you know that he is nervous on playing his first ever playoff game. Veterans need to help the kids get into the tempo with them if they want to keep the series alive.
3165  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-16] Coinbase Acquires Earn.com for an Estimated $100 Million on: April 16, 2018, 06:35:28 PM
This might be a good news (depending on how Coinbase will handle things) for Earn.Com users and that is including me. Overall I had a bad experience with the site, when it comes to completing the task, answering of surveys/emails the site runs smooth but when it comes to the withdrawal and payment they usually have problems, the support are not responsive, and sometimes I need to send multiple emails in order to get a reply. Also some of the tasks I finished don't reflect any payment/BTC on my account. I also heard reports that they are blocking accounts without any reason, although I don't have personal experience with it, a lot of user are complaining about this issue.

Coinbase purchasing the site will give an overhaul with the management as well as their system as some of their tasks are really not paying what they intended to pay. Hopefully they listen to the consumers this time as Earn.Com don't have a really good reputation to start with.
3166  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💰Buff88.com |In-play|eSports |Sports |Casino |BTC, ETH and altcoins accepted💰 on: April 16, 2018, 03:02:40 PM
Hello Buff88 here is a piece of advice please don't dig your own grave just by replying to game-protect, don't mind him as he had already made your gambling site's ANN thread look suspicious because of the various questions being circled around to you about your license issued by the Goverment of Curacao. Game-protect will ask you first if you are licensed by the Government of Curacao, and after you reply every word you say will be used against you. He will not be satisfied with your answer because his whole business revolves around "Consumer Protection" from potential scam and unlicensed gambling sites.
3167  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Which country to Immigrate for making fortune in crypto currency on: April 16, 2018, 09:41:32 AM
Do you really want to change your nationality and place of residence to solve your problem? Because I won't be going in all of that process (changing of residency and nationality) just to liquidate my 200,000$ with the change of nationality, travel fees, and a change of residence all of it will make you incur expenses and it would shed a lot off from your 200,000$ earning. Cryptocurrency Exchange to Bank deposits is not the only way to liquidate large sums of cryptocurrency there are ways like transacting directly to a buyer can solve the problem, local bitcoin wallets also have the option to buy your Bitcoin via bank deposit or remittance, Bitcoin Atms are widely available now and also have the option to sell your Bitcoin in exchange of their Fiat.
3168  Other / Meta / Re: What is happening to forum after Introducing Merit System? on: April 16, 2018, 07:15:46 AM
Can't we develop some mechanism like Reddit or other forums where every user have equal right of voting on a post.
If I were to choose I would still stick to the system now where I can give more than 1 Merit (Up vote) per post rather than unlimited up votes (merits) of 1 point from multiple users. Why? Because if all of the members have the ability to give even at least 1 sMerit in every post then it would be a frenzy of upvotes here and there and that is including spam and shit post, the merit system where its main point is to lessen worthless and useless post would be wasted.

Now it has become like a system of monarchy Where some members are behaving like a king and announcing like they are throwing food(merit) come and beg to them.
If you are talking about Merit Sources who have their own thread for their own way of giving merits I don't think its wrong as their sMerits is  still being given to quality posts of users here in the forum. It is not like they are asking you to beg in order for them to give you merits from your post. Plus not all merits sources have that kind of technique some actually scroll and read threads that have quality posts on it.

Pls save this forum...
Save from what? Members like you begging for a system that will work for them in order to have a higher rank? If that is what you are asking I don't think the admins here will listen to you. As you are like asking for spammer and shit posters to come back.
3169  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank of America to store data on the blockchain on: April 15, 2018, 01:51:57 PM
Am I the only one seeing that their patent application for Blockchain Technology is wrong? Right from the start Blockchain is not a patentable invention as it already is made available for use to the public, which has also been explained several times in a publication. The U.S. Patent Act is strict and introducing Blockchain as a patentable invention could have its consequences. Even if they have filed it as early as 2016 blockchain technology is already available since 2009. Not unless they have their own version of it then I am wrong, this would involved a certain change of how the system works and that is involving who can view the data, and how do they access it as they are also practicing customer confidentiality on their transactions and information at the same time.
3170  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Facebook Scandal and what it means for Bitcoin on: April 15, 2018, 10:10:33 AM
I think a blockchain like technology can provide enough security for the privacy of its users. Facebook the most popular social media website in the world is a treasure trove of personal information (some of it are sensitive) and that info is being sold to companies for their own personal gain. At least knowing who they are and what they are doing to the data they are collecting from our info can give us a peace of mind. I am sure a lot of us have seen how Mark Zuckerberg dodged a lot of questions in the hearing but we all know that this "ad space" they are selling are targeted on us personally based on what we search and what we look.  Providing this kind of technology will give us assurance that our information is not getting into the wrong hands, but for this to be able to work Facebook be cooperative and truthful to the system.
3171  Other / Meta / Re: [Merit] Proposition : Merit transfer option. on: April 15, 2018, 08:29:38 AM
Suggested the same Depth-2 Idea, a couple of months ago. With the idea of unused sMerits not putting into waste, I suggested that this sMerits would be given to non-generating Depth 2 Merit Sources. But with the replies I got from other members, I see that my idea is not as good as what EcuaMobi has suggested which is including more merit sources. Even if the unused sMerits won't be solved having more Merit Sources that regenerate sMerits is still a favorable thing for us members. The system is still new for us to decide if we need a change in the system or not but the admins are constantly adding new merit sources, which means in the future receiving merits from our post won't be rare as to what we are seeing now.
3172  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Creators of Dicing 🎲 | 20 Billion Bets | 112+ BTC Jackpot! on: April 15, 2018, 07:36:45 AM
What's happening with PD 5 lol, every time i click on roll, i'm taken to crash reporting page. any fix for that? btw nice job on PD 5 looks really nice. Smiley
Getting the same problem on Chrome but trying it on Mozilla FireFox as well as Opera all my bets run smooth. So I am guessing it has something to do with my Chrome browser connecting to the website or my Plug-ins are not working properly with Chrome, which also happens to other sites I visit. Clearing Cookies, registries, and cache also does not solve the problem. I also have tried to re-install Chrome and failed to fix anything.
3173  Economy / Speculation / Re: What now? on: April 14, 2018, 06:39:14 PM
I don't know why some of you got the idea that OP is in a state of panic. Because it seems like some of you are assuming that OP is worried or nervous about Bitcoin being in the 7,900$ level. But what he is just asking is a "strong explanation" which almost none of you have properly answered, obviously he doesn't know technical analysis well that is why he is asking an explanation on what will happen to Bitcoin next.

But to keep things clear what others who have posted here are right. Bitcoin going up 1,200$ in just 48 hours is too fast. It is too fast that a correction is inevitable, but if it still goes below to 7,700$ and then 7,400$ then we might be seeing BTC continuing on a down trend. And if I were you I would like to see Bitcoin go up and down rather than see it skyrocket through the charts.
3174  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-12] Research Paper Declares Bitcoin Compliant With Shariah Law on: April 14, 2018, 04:01:54 PM
Why is it called a Research Paper if they the researchers themselves have the answer of "it depends" at the end, but I cannot put all the blame on them as they are correct on it, because it heavily relies on the interpretation of the holy text. And in terms of creating a law even politicians have different sides on what is correct or right, they can even bend the definition to the way they like too. That is why I don't think that it is a good idea on creating a law based on their own interpretation of the holy text because it can differ from person to person.
3175  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: April 14, 2018, 11:40:41 AM
looks like fortune jack chat is only for referral links Sad not good. Whenever i login and join chat i only see referral links there nothing else.

At first I thought this post bears no relation to reality because I visit FJ chat from time to time and although there is not much activity there, people share their stats mostly, I wouldn't say the chat box is full of referral links only. But today indeed it is true. A user, dejavuu777 has spammed the box with dozens of ref links for some scammy looking Bitcoin Cloud Mining site. I checked his profile and he looks like a decent player with 771 BTC wagered, so I'm wondering whether his account was hacked or he just got drunk and then logged in in the FJ chat. Smiley
Sadly the chatting box of FortuneJack is lightly moderated. Which means users can freely send their referral links without someone issuing them a warning. This could be fix if FortuneJack later seen this as a problem, but I don't think it is directly affecting the gaming experience of the members. Also we cannot prove someone's account has been hack because he keeps posting/spamming referral links to the chat box.
3176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is going on today?! on: April 13, 2018, 04:24:28 AM
Probably the lack of movement for several days made the bulls take over for a bit. But it does not say that we are now on a up trend or we even made a reversal. Looking at it charts we are still well in the lines of the down trend. This kinds of price jumps are normal as before this we have seen Bitcoin also fall 2000$ in just 24 hours. Before starting a buy and sell decision I would observe the market as this price pump might end up being a false one.
3177  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-12] China: Blockchain Conference Shut Down By Police, Organizers... on: April 12, 2018, 08:33:27 PM
China, as usual, shuts down and bans everything, there are only gov projects left that focused on blockade and new technologies. That's very good that all prohibitions have occurred slowly and haven't exerted strong pressure on the market. If there were a dramatic ban at the time when 90% of all cryptocurrency trades were passing through China, the price would probably fall to $500.

I'd wait for more information before jumping to that conclusion. Police don't swoop down if there isn't a public report lodged. With all due respect to these conferences, I'd say that organisers have a bad reputation for managing participants. It's all fee-based anyway, so there's no incentive to screen participants. I mean, how many ponzis masked as cryptos have already made big stage appearances? Remember OneCoin and their Forbes cover?

News says suspicion of fraudulent ICO in the midst. Won't be surprised if these wolves are prowling these conferences for networking opportunities. There's already a pattern of corporate scams ala Madoff in Southeast Asia now.
Agreed, to keep the conversation healthy and sensible why would they even allow the organizers to form the event in the first place if they will cancel it in the end? By doing so they just have wasted both their time, as well as the venue and the money of the attendees. "Security Risk" is the police's reason why they have cancelled the event which is a valid reason and I think the public's safety is more important than continuing the event. I know this event is some sort of a step forward for them but I won't risk anyone's life for it to push through.
3178  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Russia is on the way to adopt cryptocurrencies? on: April 12, 2018, 07:53:42 PM
Haven't they already adopted it indirectly? I mean currently the Russian government has no regulations or laws involving the use of this cryptocurrencies which means anyone in their country can freely use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The only thing missing to fully adopt cryptocurrencies is of course through legislation, with it they can officially have some kind of regulation.
3179  Economy / Economics / Re: The HODL strategy is not actual on: April 12, 2018, 06:13:49 PM
Are you seriously considering a decreasing search result of the word "HODL" as a "calculation" on that a few people are interested in Hodling anymore? Can't you at least first assume that people only need it one time to be understood and therefore be searched once in google to know what it is? Their word's popularity doesn't mean a thing in terms of their price action. We cannot assume that all things is lost for Bitcoin because their not as "searched" as they used to be before.
3180  Other / Meta / Re: Finally! 101 merit and 84 activity!! Celebration Post! My thoughts on merit. on: April 12, 2018, 04:57:39 PM
Good Read. And you know what creating a good history of quality posts works. Just like what I do in Reddit, I often visit those Redditors who have the most up votes or who currently have been doing good posts lately as I know they have the most to contribute in the community, I always give them an up vote in return. There will come a time where Bitcoin users will do the same. As if they see your name almost often you will receive a merit as you are reputable for contributing good posts.
