3161  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dream Bitcoin 100k on: August 28, 2021, 04:21:58 PM
When Bitcoin goes down from 80 to 29, it goes up and down there for a while. But now it is going up and down again. But 50k the moment it is fluctuating again. I have learned from some news outlets that many people have exchanged views that Bitcoin will cross 100k by the end of this year. I would like to know the opinion of the members of the forum.

$100k per bitcoin is certainly possible and achievable this year but nobody can accurately predict the price of cryptocurrencies.
Also, I think there will be a huge sell wall at $100k and so even if bitcoin crosses $100k, it won't be able to sustain the level and fall back for a correction.
If bitcoin reaches $100k by the end of the year then that will be a 2x growth in just 4 months.  Cheesy

Right now it looks like people who bet on "$47,501 - $50,000"  or "$45,001 - $47,500" are going to win. Goo job, guys, because the multipliers for those ranges are 3.94 and 7.03, respectively.

As of me, I'm hoping for "$65,001 - $70,000", because, as you rightly said "with crypto you never know", and the multiplier is sweet, 82.52. Smiley
It seems that those who bet on these ranges(45-47,5-50) can still lose because BTC's price has increased by $2.5k in the last 24 hours, and now it's more than $49k again. So it is worth noting that the market's mood is changing fast from downtrend to uptrend, but $65k-70k until the end of August still seems unreal.
I guess BTC price in the range of $50,001 - $52,500 on the next Tuesday. And agree, that the $65k-70k range seems impossible for 3-4 days left. and another interesting is when I see a bet bitcoin price in September, I find people's bet in the range of $100,001 - $500,000, that really very courageous.

another betting today is Liverpool vs Chelsea, that interesting odds, tight prediction, and the same between. Liverpool (2.06), Chelsea (2.05), and draw (2.01)

Anything can happen over the weekend. History has shown that most of price swings have occuered over the weekends.
But I am still in it for the $45k - $50k range and I think bitcoin will stay in this range until Tuesday.
People betting on $100k - $500k range really have the nerves to throw their bitcoins in the range.
Even I would spare a few satoshis if I had some of it left.

-snip-
I think minimum withdraw is not really a big problem.

Most of the casinos right now only have a minimum withdrawal of around 10-20$, and yeah while you don't want to gamble anymore but the fund can't reached minimum withdraw. Rather than better more ended with losing, why not deposit the rest of the balance you need to reach minimum withdraw.

That is actually a good idea. This happened with me recently too. I had won a little coins in free spin and gambled it.
I accumulated around $23 worth of coins but the minimum withdrawal is $25 worth of coins.
Gambling more may be risky and can lead to loss of all coins whereas just depositing a few coins can help us withdraw all the winnings.
Good suggestion  Smiley
3164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is increasingly being used for criminal activities on: August 27, 2021, 03:46:31 PM
We all know that because of the level of anonymousity of crypto identity by users, it has increasingly being hijacked by criminals for laundry and scam activities. It has become a tool of kidnappers and extortionists that is contrary to civilization.

We all know that very few people are using Bitcoin to pay their bills, but some people are using it to buy drugs or subvert elections. Research shows that illicit activity accounts for less than 1 percent of the overall transactions,of that small portion, scam make up the overwhelming majority of cryptocurrency related crime including money laundering, terrorism, trafficking, or other unlawful activities.

One of the most widespread but false notions about crypto is that it is mostly used by bad actors for illicit financing: https://blog.coinbase.com/fact-check-crypto-is-increasingly-being-used-for-criminal-activity-and-is-a-haven-for-illicit-856a71dfb399

The title and content of the post are opposite. Could you please change your title to something like ' Is crypto being used for criminal activities ?'

Ever since 2014 the usage of cryptocurrencies for criminal activities have decreased and trading and investments in cryptocurrencies have increased drastically.
Over the past few years the amount of people trading crypto is growing every day. Cryptocurrencies have changed it's direction quite rapidly.
But yeah I was quite surprised to read that the number is less than 1% now.  Smiley
3165  Local / India / Re: My reasoning for Pi as legit crypto. Am I too much optimistic? on: August 27, 2021, 03:29:25 PM
A lot of Indians are curious about Pi Cryptocurrency. Especially those who are new to the crypto world.
The most asked question is "Is it another fraud?"

Here is my reasoning for Pi as legit crypto.
https://www.blognox.com/pi-cryptocurrency/

Is it acceptable? Your views, please.

I had never heard about this project until today. I am not sure what technology or product will be driving the demand for this coin. When half of India still believe that Bitcoin is either a Ponzi scheme or a get rich quick scheme, In such a scenario, you are selling a coin that does not have any utilization, how do they plan to sustain it for the long run?

My opinion is that it is another short term coin trying to capitalize on the present market condition until they can and then bye bye users.

You are right on point here. Cryptocurrency is gaining traction yet many people in India think it will lead to a scam.
Indians are still hesitant when investing in cryptocurrencies and so investing in a token which is good for nothing is far from the league.
Besides that, even Poly network faced the biggest hack recently how can we trust Pi network to be so secure.
For the time being, Pi network is surely going down the drain unless it has a vision, utility and a working product.

Winning small but gradually and continuously repeat it will help you to increase balance.

It is key to manage your fund, to manage your risk and profit in trading, investment or gambling. People can not win all times and if you don't save your capital after one big win, then use all of it to bet again, if your luckiness goes away, you will lose all.

Final results, you will end with loses rather than wins and profits.
When you win good profits try to cash them out immediately and play with only what you have allocated as your gambling budget because one wrong bet or if you are unlucky you will lose them all.If we have balance our mind play with us to bet more in hope of winning more which is greed but whosoever control it can be termed as sensible gambler. So make your moves wisely always.

That's a good strategy but it doesn't work every time. Sometimes there's a minimum limit for withdrawals.
In order to reach the minimum limit we try to gamble more and often lose but that's of course for smaller bets.
So the best would be to leave gambling for the day when you have gained enough profits.
Come back some other day and try your luck again.

What a lucky day. I just got 1 XLM on the daily free spin and thought to gamble it in limbo game.
Played the first 4 rounds making the bet max each time and won.
Played another few rounds with smaller bets and accumulated 43 XLM  Grin
No greed. Taking the profits home for today.  Tongue

3168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend got arrested in a p2p scam on: August 27, 2021, 02:38:48 PM
Was your friend charged for transacting with BTC or was it just the hacking case? That part of your story wasn't clear to me. What kind of ban was issued in your country? Was it issued by your Central bank?

...It would have been better if he would have used some local exchange which supports their native currency.

The friend could have made a deal with Imran to sell the BTC for him since he knows better and just need to pay a small service fee.

That is one possibility but on the other hand he could himself been a victim to the same scam.
We can never know that the money we receive from P2P transactions is coming from a genuine source or not.
In this case, it was difficult to determine that the incoming transaction was from a hacked account.
So I guess the same could have happened to anybody. It could have happened with the best of us.
3169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend got arrested in a p2p scam on: August 26, 2021, 04:01:02 PM
Damn that's one terrifying case especially if you are new to crypto. But it's quite common in crypto. Scams like these have been going around since years.
We have to be very careful while dealing in crypto and especially when we are doing P2P transactions.
P2P is risky and can lead us to trouble just like your friend is in. It would have been better if he would have used some local exchange which supports their native currency.
You could have tried harder to find some way to get around KYC.
I think you and your friend don't need to worry here because you didn't do anything wrong.

Today BTC price fell quite significantly, unfortunately betting for BTC price this month has closed, so can't choose another price range, there is somethings that make BTC price go down? I don't follow the news about crypto at the moment, we know every time the BTC price is going up, there will be bad news about crypto that will affect the market.

Even I was about to bet on the bitcoin and ethereum price prediction for this month but somehow I missed the timing and I was unable to place the bets.
My bet range was all the bets from $45000 - $50000. Even if I didn't place the bet I would still track whether I would have won the bet or not.
So far I am still on the winning range. Let's see how the next few days turn around for bitcoin.
3171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting bitcoin as payment for my business on: August 26, 2021, 01:30:56 PM
Yes I'm working on that. I've narrowed it down to 2 companies to chose from. So far customers are more familiar with btc, eth and usdt. I strike conversations with them to gain more ideas for my service. At the end of the day I know which customer is satisfied and those who want to pay in other crypto, with that data I can increase the payment options

Bitcoin and Ethereum are some really nice coins but the transaction fees will create a problem when the network is facing high congestion.
So whichever coins you narrow down make sure they don't have such problems.
This is to make sure your business is not impacted due to network congestion on Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchains.

But what I don't understand is how come the casino took back your winnings ?
Did the casino cheat you by taking the money back or did you willingly gambled more and lost ?
No man, that's not what He meant..
He played again on FP2, but this time He lost as much as He had won before Cheesy
Yeah, when you have more playing money, the appetite to cash out suddenly disappears. It feels that 4x or 5x of your current deposit is not enough. Gambling is a game of greed for sure. You can preach don't be greed, but in reality, it's so difficult to be less greedy Grin

Anyway, FP2 is a great game, but it could punish you badly if you are out of luck. Recently, Pragmatic games are dominated by high volatility games. I miss their medium and medium-high games such as 5 Lions Series, Caishen Series, Rhinos, etc. What do you think about these games?

Greed definitely kicks in when we are winning and only strong hands can keep themselves from gambling more than the limit.
Even I have lost in greed in beginning but when I observed my losses I cut down my gambling occurrences which eventually cut down my losses.
But anyway, it's good to see that you had won such a high multiplier for once.
May be controlling your greed at little will lead to higher profits  Tongue
3173  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 The Best Crypto Gambling Sites! 🔥 on: August 25, 2021, 04:40:52 PM
Instead I can't login, have to re-register with new Email and password, what the hell is this, Looks like the team/management of the gambling site in the list of websites given in this thread should look into this thread, what the OP gave is official from the gambling site or there are other elements that lead to the negative here.

Weird I can't login, but I tried on the original Stake site it can, on the OP's web it can't.
same thing here mate , Tried to online my Stake account but the same situation while when i logged in my the stake site there are no other issue.

what are the email and password ask as this must be a direct link to the site they are providing the service.

this sounds questionable to me because there are other similar site that i have been and nothing like this happened .

You guys should immediately consider changing your passwords because this seems like a scam.
May be someone would be receiving your passwords at their end and may be they will hack your accounts and steal your funds.
Never to take such risks while holding crypto in the accounts.

After the epic win 2,500x, as predicted, the casino takes back my winnings. That's what high volatility looks like, you win big, you lose big, all happened in a short period of time. No luck as well for the contests. Sad, really sad...

Pragmatic's high volatility slots really aggressive, unlike PnG which is rather "calm."

Woahh, winning a 2500X is definitely the rarest things. You must be really lucky to get such a good win.
But what I don't understand is how come the casino took back your winnings ?
Did the casino cheat you by taking the money back or did you willingly gambled more and lost ?
3175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting bitcoin as payment for my business on: August 25, 2021, 03:16:18 PM
I have been in the forum for some time learning different aspects of bitcoin, now I want to be more practical about bitcoin as a currency. I introduced crypto payments for my business and have been making sales lately. I'm in the clothing industry and I believe in crypto. I have my wallet addresses and barcode printed at the door and pos! For now, I accept Bitcoin, and Etheruem. These are 3 popular coins in my community.
So far customer feedback has been good. Some people are glad to be able to use bitcoin to actually pay for a service, Nigeria is a growing market you see. In addition it has also got my business attraction from customers who are in the crypto space. The challenge though is the issue of transaction fees, 8 out of 10 customers aren't exposed and only use the blockchain wallet. I try to educate them on other wallets with low transaction fees like electrum.
I feel good about this new development. I get to interact with customers about Bitcoin and share ideas

That's a very good initiative. We need more people like you to start accepting crypto as a payment to buy goods and services.
Only when more people start accepting crypto payments the adoption will take place at larger scale.

I would like to advice you that when you receive feed back from your crypto customers then do ask them what coin would they like to pay in.
Then you can probably start accepting coins which benefits both you and your customers.
May be you can buy a service which will accept other coins and convert them instantly to the coins you like.
This way your customer will have the flexibility to choose his own coin while you receive the coin you like.

Welcome to the forum. Making new crypto friends is a good think as it gives you good knowledge about crypto and many great ideas.
But this depends on the people and their knowledge on crypto and their perspective on what crypto is all about.
You can make many good friends on this forum but be wise enough to know who is giving you the right advice and whom to stay away from.

You can always PM me here on the forum and telegram me at @pawanhere
3177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you consider living on crypto? on: August 25, 2021, 02:59:06 PM
Was having a discussion with someone getting who is getting into BTC the other day about the 'living on crypto' movement.
Mostly about the people who want to get paid in BTC / crypto and only spend  BTC / crypto staying away from banks.

We went around and around for a while as to where his line was vs. mine. And it does bring up some interesting points. If you are getting paid in BTC and send it to BitPay / Conbase and convert it to their debit card and spend from there are you 'living on crypto'? How about Bitrefill and other places you can get gift cards from BTC / crypto?

Was an interesting discussion as to where we stood. And was just wondering how everyone else thinks.
Gift cards? Debit cards? Get paid in BTC and convert to USD (or whatever) and put into your bank?

-Dave

The answer to this question actually depends on the question When ?

If you are saying to live solely on crypto 'now' then the answer most people would give is obviously a no.
The price volatility, not so great adoption, barriers to payments are few reasons why people would not choose to live solely on crypto.

But, if you are asking about it in any point in future then I would say Yes.
When crypto is widely adopted and the country I live in legalizes the use of crypto as payment.
In that case it would be very much beneficial to live solely on crypto.
3178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know is time to walk? on: August 23, 2021, 04:16:52 PM
I think everyone would have a different opinion on when to walk away. For someone it would be as soon as they have lost their budget.
For some it would be little past their budget and for someone it would be until they have lost it all.
Knowing when to walk away is a good skill to have because it can save us a lot of money that we would have probably lost.
For me the right time to walk away would be when I have lost my budget for gambling.
3179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: worst case scenario for cryptocurrency on: August 22, 2021, 03:50:50 PM
This is a simple question but it really bothers me,
the question is, if the world's governments collaborate to create a blockchain network that is the same as Bitcoin and functions like Ethereum, then will cryptocurrency can still survive? because currently I hold 0.5 Bitcoin and 5 Ethereum for the long term, therefore I want to know what will happen if my question comes true, although maybe for the near future it will not happen, but we can take the worst case scenario from now.

Why do you think bitcoin and ethereum are so popular ? It's mostly because of they are decentralized assets which have a value.
So even if government entities collaborate to create a centralized cryptocurrency then it won't be able to compete with bitcoin and ethereum.
So I would recommend you to keep holding those coins and don't get brainwashed by anybody.
Also, you should avoid declaring your holdings in public because it attracts unwanted attention.
3180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: August 22, 2021, 03:46:13 PM
In the future, interest in poker will revive.

This will be associated with the development of virtual reality. People will play with each other not offline, but in virtual reality (through their avatars). At the same time, the game will not differ for the worse from offline poker.

Vice versa! It will be much more interesting!

Various locations can be selected.

The elven city of Rivendale from the Lord of the Rings universe ... Pirate tavern Spyglass from the novel by writer Robert Stevenson ... Living room of the French king Louis XIV ... Space station from the Star Wars universe ... Green meadow in Sherwood Forest during the time of Robin Hood and Richard  Lionheart ... Throne room of the legendary English King Arthur ...
If that can apply in gambling games, people will want to stay for a long time because they will see different views or interfaces when they play them. At the same time, offline poker can transform into online poker as we already knew and will grow from time to time. With the help of the technology, all interesting ideas from the developer will implement into the online poker game, which can give the gambler a new experience. They will feel that the transformation from offline poker to online poker is very good.

Virtual Reality in gaming is already a thing. We have quite a few games that support virtual reality.
Things are still in the initial stage and with time these games will have improvised a lot so that users can get the real feel of themselves playing in the game while being at their own place.
I think even other gambling games would have virtual reality at some point so that users could get a real feel of gambling casino from their home.
