3161  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Will Armory 0.96.5 continue to 100% work with Bitcoin Core 0.21.1 and 0.22? on: July 11, 2021, 12:46:27 PM
Bitcoin core 0.22? Where did you see that?
The latest version of Bitcoin core is 0.21.1 and is compatible with the latest version of Armory which is 0.96.5.

Also note that the warning you are referring to doesn't make bitcoin core not work properly. For more information about the warning, click here to read the post made by NotATether in another thread.
3162  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com - Makes things difficult to send BTC, am I the only one? on: July 11, 2021, 12:04:20 AM
Is this will work?
I never heard that the 12 words seed from blockchain when you import it to Electrum you will see your funds?
Yes, it works.
The seed phrase provided by blockchain.com is BIP39 and can be imported into electrum.
Blockchain.com use the path m/44'/0'/0' for generating addresses.

Those who cannot import the seed phrase generated by blockchain.com into other wallets like electrum have created their wallet before the 2016 upgrade.

I then sync the time and everything looks fine, yet I still keep getting the same message each time I try to use the codes generated by the authenticator.
That clearly means that you entered a wrong secret key.
There's a probability that the secret key you entered belongs to another account. Try to find the correct secret key.

Krytokee, as shown in the screenshot posted by BITCOIN4X, if you don't have access to the correct 2FA code, there is no way to access the account. Because you won't be able to verify the identity.
3164  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptonator is scam with doge coin on: July 10, 2021, 04:02:35 PM
I am assuming you were trying to withdraw from Cryptonator to trustwallet. Right?

According to the first image posted, a withdrawal of 45154 DOGE was processed on May 14, 2021. But your trustwallet address (displayed in the fourth image) hasn't received any fund.
Tap on that outgoing transaction and check the output. There's a probability that you have withdrawn the fund to a wrong address.
3165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Still stuck... on: July 10, 2021, 03:22:45 PM
Please forgive me.  I really don't mean to annoy anyone. Do i need to be logged into my uncles Google account to do this though?
No, Google authenticator has nothing to do with google account.
The 2FA code you need to enter for logging to your account is backed up by your secret key.
As already mentioned, install Google authenticator or Aegis and import the secret key into the application. That's all you need to do.

OP, when you are asked to fill in 2FA on the exchange you want to access, do you have the "forgot 2FA code" or "forgot password" option?
As OP said, he/she has the secret key and that's enough for restoring the 2FA code.
3166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Still stuck... on: July 10, 2021, 02:37:43 PM
You might remember i was asking for help and guidance in regs to my uncles crypto that i was left after he passed away.
Yes, As stated by Lucius, you have already created two topics regarding your issue and some users of the forum provided you the solution.

The secret code for Bittrex is 16 characters (alphanumeric)
Coinbase is 16 characters (letters and numbers)
You should import those secret keys into a 2FA application like google authenticator or Aegis.
Those applications will generate a temporary 6-digit code that you need for logging in to the account.
3167  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com - Makes things difficult to send BTC, am I the only one? on: July 10, 2021, 02:12:58 PM
It's the first time I've heard such issue on blockhchain.com, however it's not the first time I've heard a bug not allowing users to withdraw their fund.

Have you saved your recovery phrase (a series of 12 words)?
Using your recovery phrase, you can import your wallet into another wallet like electrum and access your fund easily.

If you haven't already saved your recovery phrase, click on "Security" at top right corner of the window and then click on "Backup Funds" button.
Note that you should always keep you recovery phrase securely and never reveal it to other people.
3168  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to do online payment with bitcoin on: July 10, 2021, 11:07:29 AM
but if you are using a non custodial wallet you will only pay the fee depending on the time taken to get one confirmation.
It's not 100% accurate.
The fee you need to pay depends on some other factors too. The required transaction fee depends on your transaction size, your addresses type (legacy, nested segwit or native segwit) and how busy the network is.

1. Have you bought your first Bitcoins already?
According to the other topic made by OP, it seems that the answer is yes.

and it's the best time for a low fee transaction of 1 sat/byte which can also get confirmed in the next block.
A small correction:
Transactions can be confirmed even with less than 1 sat/byte.
The minimum fee rate is 1 sat/vbyte not 1 sat/byte.
3169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to do online payment with bitcoin on: July 10, 2021, 10:41:38 AM
What wallet are you using for holding your fund?

If you are using a non-custodial wallet where you have full control over your fund, you only need to pay the network fee.
The exact fee you need to pay to miners depends on your transaction size (a function of number of inputs and outputs), network status and how fast you want your transaction to be confirmed. The required fee can vary from 110 satoshi (about 0.04 dollar) to hundreds of dollar.

If you are using a custodial wallet or an exchange for holding your bitcoin, you will probably have to pay an additional fee as their service fee.
3170  Economy / Speculation / Re: Summer dip?!, December price outcome? ---> JOIN and guess the price GO! on: July 09, 2021, 10:36:11 PM
I still believe that the 2017 bull run will be repeated.

1 year and 2 months have passed since the third having and the price has increased from 8700 dollar to 34000 dollar. This is 490% increase.
At the date of second halving (July 9, 2016), the price was 650 dollar. 1 year and 2 months later (August 9, 2017), the price was 3300 dollar. This was 507% increase.
As calculated above, till now everything has gone as expected.

December 7, 2021 will be 1 year and 7 months after the the third halving.
In 1 year and 7 months after the second halving, the price increased by 1360%.
Assuming that the price will increase by 1360% after the third halving, the price on December 7, 2021 should be 109,600 dollar which is in box 273.
The box 273 has been already taken and the nearest available box is number 271.

My prediction is 105,000 dollar.
3171  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: July 08, 2021, 12:29:37 PM
As you guys are talking about new merit sources, I am proud to inform you that I am one of them. I am really happy that theymos trusted me and appointed me as a new merit source. I hope I deserve it.
In the next month, you will probably see my username in the top positions (maybe, the top 50).
3172  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Legacy Wallet on Android app? on: July 07, 2021, 08:05:37 PM
Oh, I see, I will try that so I don't have to generate a new seed.
For accessing your fund, you don't have to generate a new seed. But for storing your fund securely, you need to generate a new seed phrase and move all your fund to your new wallet.
I recommend you to follow BlackHatCoiner's suggestion to access you fund. After that, create a new wallet and move all your fund to it.
Since you are worry about security of your copay wallet, you shouldn't use the seed generated by that wallet anymore. You don't know whether your seed phrase has been stored on their server or not.
3173  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME on: July 07, 2021, 07:06:49 PM
Any service asking you to deposit money first to be able to withdraw is a scam.

so what happens to what I earned?
I haven't ever used the service you are talking about and it's the first time I've heard its name. So, I don't know what exactly you did to earn bitcoin.
But if they are asking you to deposit first and then they will allow you to withdraw, this means that you haven't earned any money.
3174  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Restoring OLD 2010 Wallet on: July 06, 2021, 09:16:26 PM
I can help you further if you need more explanation and help for it. Send me a message to my email: [Email address was removed] and ill see what i can do.
OP, ignore anyone who ask you to send a message privately and anyone who send you a personal message. Most likely, they are scammers and will probably try to steal your money.
Anyone who has knowledge about your issue and really wants to help you will respond here in this thread.
3175  Other / Meta / Re: Question for admins: Add one more post in my thread maybe? on: July 06, 2021, 01:25:51 PM
Posts are deleted for a reason, storing their content would seem redundant. All posts are essentially records in the database, so removing a post also deletes its record from the database.
As far as I know the forum keeps all deleted posts, all edits made (after at least 10 minutes), and only Admins have access to this data.
Just to add to LoyceV's reply:
I think when a post is deleted, it's actually moved to a topic which is visible only to admins.
If you go to your report history and click on a deleted post, you will see that the topic ID has been changed.

For example, this post had been made on topic number 5346386. When I click on it in my report history, I go to topic number 5346379 which is not visible to us.
3176  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: how does transaction fees work on: July 06, 2021, 12:41:26 PM
but the changed difficulty will be controlled at 1/4-4 times of the previous difficulty.
What? Am I getting this right?
Are you saying that in every difficulty adjustment, the difficulty can increase up to 4 times the previous difficulty and it cannot decrease to less than 1/4 of the previous difficulty?
It's the first time I've heard this.
I just made a search and couldn't find any information about this.

Edit:
Can anyone confirm if there's such a rule?
3177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BITCOIN RECEIVE ADDRESS FROM ELECTRUM DIDNT WORK WHY on: July 03, 2021, 10:30:11 PM
Correct... the 2FA option generates a multisig wallet which is P2SH... and while it generates "3-type" addresses, they're not "Nested Segwit" addresses (aka P2SH-P2WPKH) which also start with "3".
If you use the GUI for creating a 2FA wallet, electrum generates a multi-signature wallet in which the addresses start with bc1q, not with 3 and that's probably where OP's problem comes from.
In order to create a 2FA wallet in which the addresses start with 3, you have to use console.
3178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BITCOIN RECEIVE ADDRESS FROM ELECTRUM DIDNT WORK WHY on: July 03, 2021, 09:26:03 PM
I didn't try this so am not sure if it's going to work: Use the same command as above but replace seed_type="legacy" with seed_type="2fa". If it generates a seed then you can use it to create a 2fa wallet.
make_seed(seed_type="legacy") is not a valid command. For creating a legacy wallet using console, you should use one of the following commands.

Code:
make_seed(seed_type="standard")

Code:
make_seed(128,"","standard")

make_seed(seed_type="2fa") works. It can be used for creating a non-segwit 2FA (starting with 3) wallet in electrum while the GUI only allows you to create a segwit 2FA wallet.
3179  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Who is paying very very large fees when not needed and why? on: July 03, 2021, 05:04:33 PM
And even if we reached the point of 95% as you suggest, then the logical option for such blacklisted users is to simply enable RBF and broadcast at a fee within 1 vMB of the tip.
If blacklisting pools own 95% of the total hashrate, they can simply reject the blocks mined by the 5% non-blacklisting pools too.

Let's say my transaction is rejected by blacklisting pools and it's included by a non-blacklisting pool.
Most probably, the 95% blacklisting pools won't add any block to the chain including my transaction. We will have a hard fork, then? Or maybe even non-blacklisting pools will join the blacklisting pools and will add the new blocks to the longer chain?
3180  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A problem with creating a new wallet on android version of electrum on: July 03, 2021, 04:44:40 PM
Just to be 100% sure, have you tried unlocking wallet B before creating wallet C on 4.1.4 as well?
Yes,
If you have wallets made with version 4.0.9 and before that, for creating a new wallet in version 4.1.0 and after that, you must unlock an existing wallet. It doesn't matter which one you unlock.
Once you open a wallet, it allows you to create a new wallet. The password of the new wallet will be same as the password of the wallet you unlocked.
