Itu used to be almost said if bitcoins have no rivals. But now, the threat to bitcoin because of this competition is starting to show. All crypto currency including bitcoin compete to get a good place in the market. Even bitcoin as the leader of crypto currency also has a heavy rival. If bitcoin can not make innovations and improvements then I am sure that the position of bitcoin as a leader of crypto currency could be shifted other crypto currencies.

I will only say that bitcoin has a heavy rival when the dominant of bitcoin will decrease.
Right now, bitcoin is still holding the over 40% dominant rate, which means any move of bitcoin will affect the entire market.

I think Bitcoin has so many rival, some coins are waiting for the fall of bitcoin and I think it is alarming to the part of Bitcoin, but have confidence that the bitcoin will stay on top by its convenience and high service provider.

The only one that has the potential to compete with Bitcoin as of now is Ethereum, but I don't think that it will surpass Bitcoin in the future because Ethereum has unlimited supply unlike Bitcoin with a limited supply. There are also some good coins out there with a potential to enter the top 10 in market capitalization but if you ask if they have the potential to replace Bitcoin in its throne, I think it is impossible for them to even reach the total market capitalization of Bitcoin. Bitcoin already made a really solid standing in the crypto currency industry with its very secure blockchain that for 9 years there is no one able to penetrate its security and this is one of the major reasons why Bitcoin is the most trusted virtual currency. As we see in here even a shitty or garbage looking technology in our own point of views can still reach this far and can still achieve the impossible with the power of decentralization feature on its nature that no one controls it neither a central bank or a government can be the top crypto currency of this era. Even with lots of negativity around it and people spreading FUD with it, Bitcoin still manage to survive everything and it will continue to shock the world in the following years to come. Cool

You can make sure that your investment is safe in terms of cryptocurrency if you will follow the recommendation for investing in cryptocurrency like having a strong password which consists of capital and small letters, special characters and also numbers and also having a back up of your wallet file and recovery phrase.

I'm adding that it is better to stay away from suspicious sites especially those websites that you receive from e-mails because a lot of hackers are cloning some trusted sites and sent it to people as a phishing site for bait. In my personal experience, I always receive tons of e-mails from random persons and some hackers that replicate exchanges and asks to click the link that they have sent to make my account more secure and blah blah. I also recommend having a paper wallet (where your address, pk or seeds are written)that you can keep in the safest place at your home and be sure to also have a backup in case you'll lose it. Cool

Well i don't know if this will be fixed. Most frustrating was when i was in a place where nets are not available and i need to settle things on that day using Bitcoin, but i cannot access it without internet connection. I wonder if Bitcoin in the future will be operated offline.

That's pretty frustrating lol, Internet nowadays become one of the major basic human needs and when you ask the majority of the people if they can live without internet, especially those young and techie people who lived in the millennium era they will surely answer you that it is impossible for them to live their lives without internet connection. Grin

Internet connection is one of the pillars of Bitcoin and without this, you cannot make any transactions and it will be useless. In the future, I don't think that Bitcoin or other forms of crypto currencies can be operated offline because the blockchain technology needs internet to fully operate and it looks impossible to happen.
