3181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 12, 2022, 03:27:12 PM
I think Liverpool we have a hard time winning this game in all honesty I think is a 50/50 match both team have great player the only plus for Liverpool here is they have Mohamed Salah,he is such a genius that can change the game in one moment even if Liverpool are playing badly.inter have their own small demon in Lautaro Martinez the Argentine is a creator and finisher.
I just read about Ian rush talking about Liverpool last night, he has a feeling Liverpool would be winning versus inter on san Siro because have great players on each line, especially trio attacker Salah, Mane, and Firminho. but, Liverpool must be careful if the legend turn, Dzeko. He made Wolfsburg get the first time title Bundesliga. Inter also has a good defense, a draw is possible if one or other (salah or mane) have a bad performance.

Edin Dzeko?  He was with Man City in their title winning season too under Roberto Mancini.  City’s first title since a very long time before that.  Lol.  Dzeko was really good at City but he was mostly used as super sub with Aguero used as the first striker for most of the fixtures in a 4 - 2 - 3 - 1.

I don’t know much about the Serie A but judging from just each club’s current form and with the match being played at Inter Milan, I feel like Inter could win but a more likely result is a draw...  Dunno.  But if I were to bet this it would be something like Inter double chance and BTTS combo at 2.50.  Decent value imo.
3182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: January 12, 2022, 03:11:10 PM
Newcastle have funds to spend but they are taking things slowly, allowing manager Howe time to settle in and to allow the players a chance to prove themselves.

As for the game this evening, you went for a draw and I went for an away win... let us see what the score will be when the full time whistle is heard  Grin

Everton vs Leicester City has been postponed therefore the only game Premier League taking place this evening is Southampton vs Brentford

Southampton may have been purchased by a new owner but the funds will take time to get through to the manager to start spending on new players. I will go for the following scoreline: Southampton 1-2 Brentford  Grin

Change of ownership of course will not immediately provide a complete change to their performance, of course it will take time for the manager to get the right players for their squad composition, just like what happened to newcastle today, even though they have a lot of money but they just got 1 or 2 players in the transfer market.
It's hard to guess who will win in that match, because the current conditions of the two teams are not much different, so I think maybe the two teams will draw 0-0 or 1-1 in the match later.

Should they tho?  Newcastle is the second favorite to be relegated with just 11 points after playing 19 fixtures...  Not good.  I think they should be acquiring at least 3 players, esp players for the midfield for some creativity and a couple of decent CB’s.  But no..  They acquired Chris Wood from Burnley.  Lol.  They already have Callum Wilson, Saint-Maximin and Joelinton who are decent forwards for what they need.

But they got Eddie Howe who is a decent hire as a manager.  If they go down, they have an experienced manager who could get them back up just like he did twice at Bournemouth.  And if they stay up somehow, Howe is capable of building the club from the bottom up to be a mid table club imo.
3183  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Will Bitcoin dip below $40K? on: January 12, 2022, 02:07:02 PM
The price dipped it’s toe below $40K to test the waters. It was on decent volume so that’s the closest we’ve seen to capitulation so far on this bear market run. We’re about to see a death cross in the market, with a likely target of $34K should the death cross pattern hold.  I think we’re all hoping for a rally here, but it may be wishful thinking. Hopefully today’s Bill Miller statement will get some other big money on board the pump.

It wasn’t really capitulation.  It was more like manipulation to shake off weak hands and liquidate some longs before the big dudes start buying it all up for themselves.  You know..  The usual.  Lol.

So yeah, here we are, almost like it’s playing out just like July last year.  I’d expect everyone to feel great and go say ‘the bottom is in’ but no.  It could go touch 40k again and by that time let’s really hope it holds.  The moment it doesn’t is the moment some huge holders could start to capitulate and then we’d see 30k tested.  IMHO.
3184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 12, 2022, 01:43:16 PM
^  Nope, I think this event is a banger even after the match cancellations.  But from a betting perspective I think I’ll just have a 5 leg parlay from the bouts I’m interested in.  So with where the lines are at right now, going for Benitez, Brahimaj, Brito, Royval and Chikadze would be lined at 10.98 or so.  Add the co main to that with Chook and it will be 16.90.   Not bad imo.  10 bucks to win around 160 then bet the whole 160 on Ngannou for the next event.  Cheesy  It’s the degen way.

Here a couple of vids...

This is the match that convinced me that Chikadze could be on his way to the top.

Peak Kattar ain’t no joke tho.  Burgos is pretty good too.

3185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 12, 2022, 01:37:20 PM
One EPL game tonight West Ham vs Norwich.
Actually this is easy to guess and clearly West Ham will outperform all of them, and West Ham can overtake Arsenal for a while on the other hand bookmakers give West Ham a small chance at 1.40.

And I think the weekend will be a lot more fun for all the leagues to play hopefully no more delays.

What the bookies are really doing is, they’re giving us a chance to win small money.  Grin  There’s def more value to be had to bet on specials or the team totals prop for this match.  Norwich team total under .5 goals is at 1.83.  Norwich have been sucking for this whole season even under Dean Smith.  You could also do a combo bet with West Ham to win and BTTS no at 2.06 or West Ham win to nil for the same line.

And just noticed that another match was postponed again...  At least we’ll be having EPL football for at least a couple more weeks..  It could play out til June imho.
3186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 12, 2022, 01:13:31 PM
^  Technically Cancelo is the best.  But that’s just me.

And for 25m GBP for a 29 year old left back..  Hmmm, not really sure if it’s a decent piece of business.  But then again it’s mid season transfer window.  Clubs tend to pay higher.

So to throw in something that doesn't seem to be discussed much here, Liverpool are about to do 2 things this month. Either agree to pay the highest wage we've ever done (~200,000 a week) to keep Salah (and I definitely think we should) or scout around to buy a lot of talent with the payday they'll get to release him.

Heart wants Salah to stay of course and I think that'll happen. He loves the club and the club loves him back. But FSG I still can't really trust or understand. No tidbits from regulars here?

I’m not a Liverpool supporter but I want him to stay with Klopp too.  But at the end of the day these club owners, FSG in this case, run a business.  If it’s time to sell a player, it’s time to sell a player.  And no doubt Salah loves the club but he’s a professional too.  If another club offers him a better deal, he’ll get his agent to go talk and listen.  Not everyone is a Steven Gerrard these days.
3187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 10, 2022, 05:02:50 PM
This coming event would’ve been a banger for a Fight Night but some matches were cancelled due to injury.  They would’ve been good ones...  Kleydson Rodrigues vs Zarrukh Adashev, Joaquin Buckley vs Abdul Razak Alhassan. Michel Pereira vs Muslim Salikhov and Raoni Barcelos vs Victor Henry were all cancelled.  Sad

The matches left I’m looking forward to most are Gabriel Benítez vs TJ Brown, Court McGee vs Ramiz Brahimaj, Bill Algeo vs Joanderson Brito, Brandon Royval vs Rogério Bontorin and the main event.

Enjoy!  Smiley

3188  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: January 10, 2022, 02:59:23 PM
What is your opinion?

I mean, you're in Bitcointalk, a Bitcoin forum. What kind of opinions do you expect? Of course people here would be bullish lol. 🤷‍♂️

His next question should then be:  What do you think about the bullishness about Bitcoin even though it’s really bearish?  Is this a normal thing in Bitcointalk?  Cheesy

Anyway BTC’s price movements should be fun to watch during the next couple of days.  Switch to 5 min chart and enjoy the volatility.  It’s somewhat a clash for gains between the longs and the shorts.
3189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who saw the Bear market coming? on: January 10, 2022, 02:47:20 PM
On Oct 28,2021 i made this topic,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5368047

The title was "Getting Early 2018 top vibes"

I basically listed 10 different reasons why there is a good chance we are going to top soon. Such as meme coins pumping, uber driver trading crypto, Jason Bourne doing crypto.com commercials, people quitting their careers to trade crypto full time, etc.

Nobody believed me. People were saying thats its not topping yet, it will top in 2023, etc, etc.

That’s the thing around these parts.  You say what you think and if they don’t like it, the whole lot of them moonbois go on a barrage of posts saying how you’re wrong or you’re just a bear without even trying to think about what you’re trying to say or even look at the chart you just showed...  It’s like ‘I’m right you’re wrong and that’s that.’.

How are we supposed to learn from each other if that’s usually the case?

Anyway, about your thread, wait for the bounce.  It could be the end but then again who knows...  Already made a couple of posts about it so I won’t post it again here.
3190  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Will Bitcoin dip below $40K? on: January 10, 2022, 02:40:51 PM
yes, just for the sake of checking the sentiments from people here .Smiley

i believe we will hit below 40k but it will bounce back. anyone can give their own predictions on this market. so there's no right or wrong answer here. and even if it will dip below 40k, still it is still way above the price level of btc just before the pandemic.

What do you mean there’s no right or wrong answer?  This isn’t no art class.  BTC can def either go below 40k USD or not.  And yes, it def did this time.  So now let’s see if the momentum going down continues or if it goes for another bounce...  I’d say if momentum going to 30k builds, it’s prolly going to bounce from 30k to 40k then go back down.  If it bounces from current range, it could go bounce to 46k - 48k then go back down then trend back up.

...  Hopefully it’s the latter, not the former.  Cheesy  Cross your fingers.
3191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who saw the Bear market coming? on: January 09, 2022, 04:57:20 PM

We are entering the Fear phase now. Hold onto your Butts!

Are we?  The daily obv looks bad but the weekly still looks decent.  And that 40k support looks like it’s going to hold imho.  Dunno...  But I’d start worrying if BTC breaks down 40k and drops with lots of mometum to 30k.

And if anything, to me it really feels like it’s going to play out like it did last July.  But this time with 40k bottom instead of 30k.  BTC could go back up to 46k - 48k then drop back down to where it is right now before trending back up again.

3192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 09, 2022, 04:43:29 PM
We always read the words "Don't bet more than you can afford to lose", but are we really following that safe principle in gambling?

So, I have a question here, if you are earning like $2000 a month, how much are you willing to gamble that you think you can afford to lose?
Please use the amount as a basis for your answer.

If I needed that 2k a month for expenses, bills, mortage or rent and car payments?  I wouldn’t use any of it for gambling.  Not sports, not poker, nothing...  Here’s the thing, if you want to take gambling, sports betting or poker more seriously then you should have a separate bankroll for all your gambling stuff and have at least 6 months worth of savings for monthly expenses.

But if you’re just gambling for fun...  Just use a 50 bucks at most per weekend, split them 5 ways per bet in different events you enjoy...  Better yet, just bet them on degen parlays.  A full card parlay in a UFC event could win you 60k for a 10 dollar bet if it hits.  Lol.
3193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 09, 2022, 04:36:43 PM
^  Yeah..  Watch these Salikhov tapes.

https://mmacore.tv/search/salikhov

He def has the tools like Pereira but more tight and efficient in movement.

@tokeweed, @YuginKadoya. I am not quite certain if uncle Dana will consider this, however, triple C Henry Cejudo has offered himself as another choice to replace Max Holloway and challenge Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight championship hehehe. Henry Cejudo will become the first UFC fighter to win 3 championships in 3 different divisions if gets the victory.

As fate would have it, Cejudo, who has been lobbying to fight Volkanovski for several months, has thrown his name into the ring as a potential short-notice replacement. If selected, maybe Cejudo will be the one on the other end of an all-time classic against Volkanovski.

Source https://www.mmanews.com/2022/01/cejudo-volkanovski-vs-ortega-greatest-fight-ever/

I wouldn’t mind if it happened tbh but really if Cejudo wins he would be fucking up 145 like he did 135 after winning the belt then retiring.  Lol.  So I’m sticking to if Chikadze almost doesn’t break a sweat if he wins vs Kattar, he’ll be in for a title match.

And if Aljo pulls out, which I think he will then UFC 272 is ckufed.  Cheesy
3194  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: January 08, 2022, 05:13:20 PM
^  A lot more?  I don’t think so...  30k isn’t really far away from what the price is at right now which is now around 41.2k.  Again, if 30k breaks, we’re done for.  Let’s just hope there aren’t any more huge holders that’s gonna capitulate and add more down side momentum if BTC approaches 30k.  Lol.

But really I’m expecting a bounce to around 46k, maybe 48k then a drop back down to where it’s currently at then hopefully it plays out like July and trends back up again.
3195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: January 08, 2022, 04:27:43 PM
Coutinho has joined Aston Villa until the end of the season, probably because he knows his playing days for Barcelona are over and because Villa manager Gerrard was his teammate at Liverpool before he moved to Barcelona in that £146 million move in January 2018.

Kieran Trippier joined Newcastle United, he moved from Atletico Madrid for £12 million.

Which other notable transfers have taken place so far?
Coutinho and gerrard do have a close relationship but if  could choose between aston villa and arsenal, I think coutinho would prefer to join arsenal which is a big team.

I don’t think Arsenal needed him. They already have a player who plays the No.10 position in Martin Odegaard. The young boys are hungry and want to impress in every game because they want to win something. Coutinho has won few trophies in Bayern Munich and he’s 29Y/O at the moment. Arsenal are trying to shift their recruitment around younger players. Steven Gerrard showing how big name managers can attract top players. I doubt Coutinho would have gone there if Dean Smith was still the manager. Steven Gerard is the perfect manager to get the best out of Couthinho. I think he'll do well at Villa and looking forward to seeing him play. I just hope he can rekindle some of that magic and help Steven Gerard and redeem himself in the process.
You can't compare or put Odegard ahead of coutinho in anyway,I think arsenal miss a good opportunity by not signing him he would have brought so much to do,his experience, skills  and magic, and the young ones like Smith Rowe and saka would have benefited from his time with them.
Big one for Aston villa they always come up with suprise transfer just like they did with Danny Ings but this coutinho signing by Aston villa shock me.

It wasn’t really much of a shocker if you consider that Coutinho played with Gerrard a while back at Liverpool and Gerrard was even captain.  Gerrard also rates Countinho highly judging from the statements I’ve read.  So between Arsenal and Aston Villa where would you go if you were in Coutinho’s shoes?

I hope he does well tbh and Aston Villa actually acquires him during the summer.  I think it’s high time that he got some favorable situations from here on out.  He has been unlucky.
3196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: January 08, 2022, 04:18:36 PM
^  If Aston Martin had a car even capable of going further up the grid and Vettel is really as awful as you’re saying, don’t you think Stroll should be out performing him at every racing weekend?  I don’t think so...  Both drivers would’ve at least got their cars further up the grid.  And it’s not even open for debate.  Lol.  Aston Martin really did have a worse car than their Racing Point, Force India days.

And since you’ve made a point with Perez, Alonso starts further back too and he had less overtakes than Vettel in the Alpine which is def a better car than the Aston Martin.  Just saying...  Smiley
3197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 08, 2022, 02:15:37 PM
Well said. I would replace "genetics" with "upbringing", because I think that words you hear and deeds you see while growing up are way more important for what you become than molecules in your body, but overall yeah, that's what makes you a champ. Smiley

Tyson Fury is a good example. Having a lot of professional boxers among his relatives, surely he was influenced by them.
There is something great coming along as we speak about this things, Tyson Fury and MMA are talking about creating one super fight between Fury and Francis Ngannou.
This would be amazing heavyweight fight to watch and both of them are talking about this on social media, there are early posters already Smiley
I don't know if this would be boxing rules with MMA gloves or MMA rules with boxing gloves  Cheesy

Lmao.  I saw that tweet.  Fury said he wants boxing rules with MMA gloves and Ngannou replied he wanted MMA rules with boxing gloves.  Cheesy  Just from that exchange, we know it ain’t happening.  But who knows...

And some bad news, Holloway was supposed to fight Volk for another title shot at 145 but sadly Holloway got injured.  There are some rumors going around that TKZ could be the replacement fighter.  But I’m hoping for Chikadze to win real quick next Saturday and hopefully slide himself in there as the replacement fighter.  I guess we’ll see.

Here’s a vid of Gane’s last match.

UFC Free Fight:  Gane vs Lewis
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgTfeQ7TdMI

Enjoy.  Smiley

I'm hearing that the Michel Pereira, and Joaquin Buckley fights are off. Shame, probably the two I was most looking forward too, especially Michel's as I'm a fan, despite him having a very suspect gas tank, and a little bit flamboyant, though I guess that's why I like watching him as do so many others. I was looking forward to seeing how Buckley bounces back from his kick into fame, and then hitting a bit of a rough patch before returning with a win. Would like to see him to start to kick back into gear.

Yup, sad.  I was looking forward for Salikhov vs Pereira.  I was picking Salikhov as a slight underdog.
3198  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: January 07, 2022, 03:39:29 PM
I'm not sure I'd say we're in a bear market yet.  This still seems like correction territory to me.  Granted, it's closer to bear market territory than I'd like it to be.  We're still in the comfort zone at the moment though.  I think things will start getting uncomfortable around $39K and below that will feel like a bear market.  At the moment though we could be in a trading range between $42.0K & $69K.  Until that breaks, this could be viewed as a buying opportunity.  Especially seeing the sentiment in the market expecting it to drop further.  The bulls have been liquidated enough, there should be some bears on the menu before long.

The daily looks ugly but yeah, the weekly def looks like BTC just going through a correction.  Anything above 30k looks to be good imho and I think BTC is going to be ranging between 30k and 60k if it doesn’t find itself trending up to new all time highs for the next couple of years.  I guess I’ll take it!  Better that than breaking down below 28k - 30k support.

3199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 07, 2022, 02:52:26 PM
^  Ngannou looked like he could throw some nasty leg kicks too.  Watch the vid I posted above.  He wasn’t throwing them much but you could see Miocic was bothered everytime Ngannou threw them.

And what do you mean too bad the bookies don’t agree with you?  If they did then Gane would be having a worse line that what the books are laying them for right now.  I’m on the other side...  I think Ngannou could finish Gane within three rounds imho.  Stake has Ngannou at 1.94.  I think that’s value.  I think we’d be watching the match and realize he should be at least the 1.50 favorite.

3200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 07, 2022, 01:36:33 PM
^  Cain Velasquez had a couple of injuries that were nagging him during his run in the UFC.  He had an almost bum knee which he had surgery.  And there was his lower back injury which took him out from fighting for more than a year, which he also had surgery but it didn’t go as planned and took his career in limbo...

In hindsight, I think it was Cain Velasquez who asked to be matched up vs Ngannou as a last fight deal cos he prolly really needed the money.
