3181  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will there be no more topics to write about? on: December 11, 2021, 12:11:01 PM
Is the possibility of all reasonable possible topics on a subject being exhausted getting realer by the day?

Are we going to be seeing more shitty post soon?
The issue of shitpost have been a recurrent one on the forum, there are some users who just would not put effort into writing on the forum, and it's not because there is a dearth of quality topics to comment on, or that possible new threads have all be exhausted, but it's basically cause those users do not understand what the forum should be used for, some of them concentrate totally on how they can just make money here, others do not want to put in any amount of effort whatsoever etc, my point is basically that, some users would make shitposts, notwithstanding the number of good topics ongoing in the forum.

As for good subjects being exhausted, I don't think that's possible, at all times, new discussions must arise, things will get modified and we'll have to discuss about it in a different way, good users who make good posts will leave the forum, but they will be replaced by good newbies that will end up to be good users on the forum and would thus also start making good topics for discussion, the forum would continue to go round, and good discussions would surely be inexhaustible.
3182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 10, 2021, 09:53:12 PM
Already in January, Catalan “Barcelona” may leave two key players at once. The Sun announces that midfielder Frenkie de Jong and goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen will be leaving the Blue Garnet camp.
I could see this coming, Barcelona playing in the Europa league will cost them so much, both on and off the pitch, there is already a dearth of quality players in their team, and with the current situation in the club, they are definitely going to lose the few remaining quality players they have left, big players would never like to play in the Europa League, they always want to be involved in the champions league, and for now Barcelona can't offer that, and there's every tendency that they will not qualify for the CL next season. They also have to buy new quality players, but now that they can't offer CL football, Barcelona would no longer be a destination for big players.
3183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 10, 2021, 09:03:41 PM
PSG was strong on paper in the beginning of the season especially after signing Messi and Ramos but honestly right now, I doubt they could make it to the finals. Maybe in the upcoming weeks their gameplay might improve and prove me wrong but until then I think two teams between Bayern, City, Liverpool and Chelsea will play finals.
I second that, I actually never believed in PSG's ability to win the CL even before the start of the tournament, I knew it would be very difficult for Pochettino to handle the collection of stars at his disposal and it would also be improbable for them to play as a team, mind you that winning the CL has a lot to do with team work and togetherness, PSG have individual talents, but they are yet to blend as a team. Manchester City remain my favorite to win the title this season, after making it to the final last season, I'm expecting them to go a step further and bring the title to the Etihad, they will also be extra motivated cause it's the title they are yet to win, and they are so craving to do so.
3184  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Economic Advantage on: December 10, 2021, 07:37:24 PM
I reside in a country where the rate of inflation is high with a corrupted political system and tenures that have stolen the collective wealth of the nation and have crippled the economy, a high percentage of unemployed graduates who have in the last few years discovered blockchain and have gotten involved in Bitcoin activities such as trading and investments. Indeed Bitcoin has given us the economic power to overcome the crashing economy of many nations. 100% economic independent.
The situation is somewhat the same in my country, the inflation level keeps rising everyday, coupled with unemployment and other social vices, prior to the pandemic our economy was struggling and right now, many months into the pandemic and things are getting worse, the government isn't doing anything to make things better, but just compounding the whole issue. Bitcoin is a great investment/currency, it has created a lot for people who have harnessed the opportunity, but what's most frustrating in my country is that government keeps imposing sanctions on Bitcoin, making it difficult for people to seamlessly use the currency, Bitcoin will prolly not be able to help the economy on a general point of view, but individually it can initiate a change, that's the more reason I feel governments should be more friendly to the network, but they are not, just cause they can't control it, that says a lot about how selfish the government is.
3185  Economy / Economics / Re: I think most people still trust the USD more than Bitcoin on: December 10, 2021, 06:49:16 PM
Combining these two ideas, I get the impression that most people still believe more in the USD than Bitcoin.
Of course fiat currencies is what people have been using for quite a very long time, so it's only normal that it's what they'll believe in, fiat currencies are more popular and used than any other currency, so it's going to be pretty difficult for people to immediately trust another currency over it, but mind you that Bitcoin is constantly growing and heading towards mass adoption and a stage were it can be accepted globally as a medium of exchange.

But mind you that a lot of the mistrust people still have for Bitcoin is as a result of government/media propaganda, when more people start to come to the realization that many of such information is erroneous and that's it's actually great to be your own bank then we can achieve mass adoption sooner rather than later.
3186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it legal to do BitcoinTalk Accounts - Buy Sell Trade ? on: December 10, 2021, 05:54:19 PM
Account sales is more like exchanging personality/impersonation and it could be risky for people who would interact and maybe do business with such account, that's why account sellers and buyers more often than not always get a negative feedback, look at it this way, if we have a responsible user sell his account to someone who we can't be sure to be like the initial owner of the account, then that's very risky for other forum users, thus account sales may not be prohibited, but it is unacceptable by majority of users on the forum.

Also, earning merits on the forum signifies that the user is contributing in a quality way to discussions on the forum, thus when a user buys an account with the merit therein, it is unethical and not a product of hardwork, and that's why such short cuts aren't allowed and users are encouraged to grow their accounts in the right way possible.
3187  Other / Meta / Re: If the signature campaings are removed from the forum, will you stay or leave? on: December 10, 2021, 05:31:04 PM
If I'm to be really honest, if signature campaigns are removed and I get busy in real life with other things that could prolly earn me some more money, I'll have little or no time to come here to make posts, I would be an occasional poster, that doesn't mean that I'm in the forum just for the money, cause I really find here interesting and educative, and earning somewhat complements it all, thus if that incentive is no longer there and I have a substitute means of making extra money in real life, there is no way I'll forfeit that to post on the forum frequently, I'd prolly be more of a reader and post only when I actually have the time to construct something.

Having said that, I'll not leave the forum for anything, my frequency in posting could reduce, but to totally leave the forum seems somewhat impossible right now, maybe sometime along the line I could have a different idea/mindset.
3188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Jr Member in the Pocket (1 Down, 5 to Go) on: December 10, 2021, 05:13:23 PM
I'm also very excited for incoming future . I have a big dream in crypto industry and  I wanna make it reality  to give my best and hard work.
Congrats to you, but you must know that it takes far more than merits on the forum to be successful in the crypto network in general, you'll have to do a lot of research and study into the network, understanding all there is to, from the security protocols, to safe wallets to use and when and how to invest etc, the crypto network is really broad, so you'll have quite a lot of things to get abreast with, the forum by the way is a great place to get such knowledge and merits is also an integral part of the forum as it shows you're actually learning and making quality posts, so on that basis, well done and work harder.

To the OP, congratulations to you as well, take it one step at a time and you'll definitely achieve your desire, you're still relatively new, so it could prolly take you some time to adapt and grow in your learning, but if you put your heart into it, then you'll achieve it.
3189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it a crime? on: December 10, 2021, 03:44:36 PM
As other users have said, it doesn't fall under the offense of plagiarism, so long as it's just your English that the person would correct, but mind you that you could prolly give someone an article of yours to edit and the person goes on to cut out numerous parts of your write-up to either include their thoughts or something they got from the internet, if you post such articles on the forum and your "editor" does that continually, then you could probably be accused of plagiarism or stealing lines out of other people's work, thus what I'm basically saying is you should make it clear to your proof-reader what exactly you want from them so you don't get into trouble, or you better just choose an online tool to help you with this.
3190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear market is inevitable on: December 10, 2021, 12:53:24 PM
The bull market is fading away bit by bit, I hope people can easily see this already, sit down and do some calculations, BTC was 3800$ in march 2020 and BTC made it up to 68,000$, many altcoins have done 10x to 1000x for example shiba inu, we have seen bull market already just accept it and now bear market will slowly crawl into the space
What you must understand is that there is no way to verify if your analysis is correct, mind you that coins could continue to rise, well into next year and the bull run will continue, in my opinion, it depends totally on the coin in your possession, I for one believe in the Bitcoin network and thus I firmly believe that even if its price plunges, it'll still rise back up again, thus you can still afford to hold your coins even when the price is falling. Having said that, if you're holding altcoins, and as you know majority of them are pump and dump coins, thus if you're holding such coins, it's much better to sell them when there is a plunge, take your profits and wait for the next pump and dump coin to invest in, if you hold for too long, I'm afraid chances are high you'll be left with zero profit.
3191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 10, 2021, 11:55:34 AM
Barcelona is  no longer same with past time, this is likely not a big club again even this club still has a big community or fans. Well, this will really make Xavi difficult to bring up again Barcelona to get or be the previous powerful club. It may be, but still need more times, not this season.
Xavi was well aware he was taking up a very difficult and complicated job, and he is also an inexperienced manager, so I didn't really expect too much from him, I believe Barcelona had no other choice but to sign Xavi cause of their present financial condition, it's really a difficult period for the Spanish giants and the board has a lot of work on their hands, their league position is bad enough, and now they have to play Europa league football for the remainder of the season.

Having said that, I just hope this isn't the end of an era, so many clubs have fallen from their lofty heights and it took them so many years to start fighting again, if that's the case with Barcelona, then their fans have to start getting ready for it, cause it's really going to be tough times.
3192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 10, 2021, 10:56:24 AM
The source claims that Dortmund striker Erling Haaland's agent made a statement about Haaland's future. And he indicated that he had a clear mind about the team which Haaland would like to go this summer. He didn't mention any specific team but it is not hard to guess the biggest alternatives. I think these alternatives currently are Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United.
No disrespect to Manchester United, but I don't think they are in contention to sign Haaland, not because they do not have the funds, but just cause they are not really at their best on the pitch and are even struggling to establish a firm position in one of the top four spots, meaning it's very possible they'll be missing out on CL football if they do not win the competition (CL) this season (which is highly improbable), if Haaland moves to United I'll be really surprised.

Having said that, City and Real are more realistic options, they are both in good form, and are title contenders in all competitions they are currently in, I want Haaland to make up his mind as soon as possible without too much drama, so he can get on with his football and start doing what he knows best, which is scoring goals.
3193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 10, 2021, 10:39:43 AM
Can't wait for the Villa game tomorrow. Gerrard at Anfield again, the atmosphere's going to be crazy.
Unfortunately for him, he probably won't have such a good time. Liverpool's firing on all cylinders and even though Stevie started really well with Villa it would really surprise me if they took anything out of the game.
About the atmosphere on Gerrard's return, I second that, I think the fans are going to do all that can to welcome him back and make him feel at home, he is and will always be a legend and could possibly coach Liverpool someday. But in my opinion, I think this game could turn out to be a tricky one for Liverpool, yes, the reds have been superb of late, but Aston Villa have not be doing too badly based on their standard, if they can defend decently and be good in attack then they can pose klopp's men the sort of problems that West Ham caused them some weeks back. Of course Liverpool are favorites, but Aston Villa atm look like a team than can cause upsets here and there, they almost did that to City two weeks ago and they can do it to Liverpool tomorrow.
3194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats wrong with btc on: December 09, 2021, 04:26:17 PM
If those things about btc not going to get any better then dark future wait for btc.
People move there where money is flowing good example is safe moon ...yes its funny project but at least ordinary people have improved their financial situation.
Obviously Bitcoin gets better everytime, with more institutional investors and prominent individuals all wanting to invest in the network, I mean people are now coming to the realization that it's beneficial if they are their own bank and control their funds, thus the network is definitely moving forward and gearing up for mass adoption, Bitcoin is a long term project and I believe that in the long run, its investors today would be happy they stuck with the network.

Having said that, I don't know anything about this "safe moon" project, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to be anything more than a pump and dump coin that quite a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money to, do your research into Bitcoins historical price movement, you'll then understand that its present situation is nothing unusual.
3195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin The Ultimate access on: December 09, 2021, 03:54:58 PM
There's still majority people won't believe in bitcoin or they don't know the usefulness of it.
I second that, and I think it's cause of the propaganda and erroneous information the media spreads about Bitcoin, most of this anti-Bitcoin news are sponsored by the government in a bid to discourage people from using Bitcoin so they don't get control of their funds, as we all know the government would stop at nothing to make sure people use their CBDC's instead of Bitcoin, and that's cause they can control their central bank digital currencies, but they have no control whatsoever over Bitcoin.
I think it’s safe and secure to keep my money in my wallet even when I am not using it.
Yes it is, so long as it's a non-custodial wallet, if you use a custodial wallet to store your coins, then you're making a big mistake cause you're not the one with the keys to your funds, and by extension the funds isn't yours, the exchange/third party service can be hacked and you'll lose your funds, so always do your research before choosing a particular wallet, and never forget the rule of thumb that says you should never share your seed phrase with any other person.
3196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiner's with Zero investment. on: December 09, 2021, 03:36:41 PM
Some bitcoiner's haven't invested a single $ in bitcoin till now, there are many early adopters who haven't invested a single dollar in cryptocurrencies.
I don not really know why you have come to that conclusion and how you verified that information, but I find it hard to believe that quite a lot of people haven't invested in the network they have been in for a long time, if you say newcomers, then I can agree with you; but then there could be quite a few reasons why someone wouldn't invest in Bitcoin even if they believe in it, they could prolly not have the funds to do so, or maybe they are still at a stage were they are trying to understand the network properly before putting their funds in it, or they could be worried about it's volatility and are always waiting for a comfortable time to buy, but they never get a good chance, etc.

Mind you that people may not actually buy Bitcoin with fiat, but earn it through other means and as such they have invested in the network, you must not have bought with fiat for it to be called an "investment", if for example you're earning BTC through one service or the other you render and hodling it, then you definitely are a Bitcoin investor.
3197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: December 09, 2021, 11:36:34 AM
This topic have taken the center stage of my thought we have seen how countries around the world are gradually opening the economy to adopt bitcoin and as a result a lot of government policies are already underway to develop a framework that allow regulation of the bitcoin ecosystem which have made me to wonder on this topic. Can a decentralized currency like bitcoin ever get regulated?
Over the years we've seen multiple countries express hostility towards Bitcoin and have also issued/imposed sanctions and regulations over the network in their country, the thing is, this countries are constantly irked that they can't control the Bitcoin network just as they do with their fiat currency, and again, they do not want their citizens to experience the freedom of funds and control that Bitcoin offers its users, they want them to only use fiat and cbdc's that's controlled by them.

Having said that, there is definitely a limit to their level of regulation, they can't control the network, they can only make it somewhat difficult for their citizens to purchase or use Bitcoin, but the network will always be away from the reach of the government.
3198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn’t KYC anti-ethical to Bitcoin? on: December 09, 2021, 11:21:45 AM
It is still up to the user to either pay serious attention to their privacy and not use exchanges that require KYC, and of course there are ways to purchase Bitcoin without it, thus in my opinion, it's actually not a problem with the network, but with the particular user, as we all know the user is in control and is their own bank, so they have their privacy in their hands, if they want to give it up by using KYC exchanges, then it's on them. Though you can definitely stay safe when you use centralized exchanges, what you basically need to do is just follow the rule of thumb of not storing your funds in there for a long period of time.

Having said that, I know it's pretty difficult to maintain your privacy, but what people must understand that in our contemporary society today, it definitely wouldn't be easy, with the government trying it's best to establish control over many aspects of our lives.
3199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $2 million worth of SHIBA INU bought on: December 07, 2021, 10:40:58 PM
As per the latest update an Ethereum whale has purchased SHIB worth over $2 million, is that why we have seen recovery in the price over last 24 hours? I am wondering whether this will push more users to buy SHIB as there are two reasons why users will buy SHIB, one just because it's recovering and second is the assumption that whenever whales invest into any crypto it would pump hard. Are we being bull trapped again ?
It could possibly be the reason why the price has recovered and is somewhat rising, but mind you that investors have to be really careful when a single/few big individual pumps the price of coin on the network, it could be risky cause some of this coins are pump and dump coins and when a whale pumps the price of coin and makes profits, if they pull out/withdraw their funds, it could spontaneously cause a dump in the price, leaving individuals who bought as a result of the pump with losses to bear.

Having said that, investors should ensure that they do not just invest in a project cause of it just pumped but because they have done their research and believe in the project to be sustainable for the long period.
3200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 07, 2021, 04:56:08 PM
Arsenal really need to be very consistent if they are to Challenge for the Champion's League spots at least. it's the only way the are going to attract Big name players into the time in the coming season.
I second that, and I've said this before and I'll reiterate it, I believe if Arsenal fail to qualify for the CL next season, then Arteta's job could be on the line, they have missed out for quite a while now, and if that continues then they'll establish themselves as a mid-table/Europa league team, and I'm pretty sure that's not the level the Arsenal board want for their team, they really have to start competing with the likes of City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Having said that, at the moment Arsenal can't really attract world class players, they can't compete with a team like City for example in terms of trying to sign a player, they must start winning more games, trophies and always qualifying for the CL, or else they will never get to the position they were in before in English football, and as such Arteta could be fired sooner rather than later.
