3181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 03, 2022, 06:25:44 PM
Manchester United are having a home match against Wolves now. And so far in the match, Wolves have been the much better side. Manchester United are even struggling to shoot now.
Very strange that a team with "united" in its name is playing so ununited football and making poor decisions in this game so far. If Ragnick continues as coach, a lot of work will need to be done on this MUFC team. Jones who has not played for a long time is even playing better than most players in the MUFC team. Had they not had De Gea, who is a world class goalkeeper, Wolves would have been ahead now by more than a goal. There is no creativity in the Manchester United midfield and it is showing in their attack, because the ball is not easily getting to CR7 who can pull something off in this game
3182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 03, 2022, 05:43:31 PM
Lineup just came in and its the same formation from last time but this time there is a very surprising tweak in that formation. We have Phil Jones back again in United squad. I wonder what's Ralf Rangnick is thinking there. Wolves are already in form and Phil Jones starting today seems like United is taking a risk here. What happened to Lindelof, Maguire , Bailly?
Seeing Jones play today is the biggest surprise for me, i hope it will not be a terrible decision that will cause them the game, it will also be a great comeback for him tonight if he scores. The game just started and Greenwood is already showing that he is a better option to Rashford with very beautiful passes. Sancho has to do better with the ball. I am also happy seeing CR7 captaining the team, hopefully they get all three points tonight.
3183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup of Nation Discussion Thread || Current discussion: Group Stage. on: January 03, 2022, 12:30:44 PM
The competition kick starts in few days, six day if I'm correct.
Hope y'all had your bets down for Egypt ?
They have got Salah, with his pace and goal scoring abilities, they can win this.
Mo' salah is just one out of eleven players in the Egyptian team, whose to say his effect/presence will be big on the team, there are many other Africans as well with very good goal scoring ability and pace, but those qualities alone are not enough to win the AFCON, you need a good balanced playing "team" as well as and a tactical coach to win. The anticipation for the cup to kick off is high, i hope it offers some quality standard football matches that can proof to everyone that the AFCON is still something to watch.
3184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The faith of Altcoins in 2022 on: January 02, 2022, 09:09:56 PM
it seems the hype was overrated and the market went in the other direction opposite the speculations
Crypto market in general is full of speculation, no one can say for sure, but i wouldn't quite call it a hype, but a future prediction that unfortunately the timeframe wasn't properly calculated. Success for altcoins is surer as each year passes by and more persons getting aware of them. If it's not bitcoin, its an altcoin, and most persons who missed out on bitcoin are searching for opportunities with other coins (altcoins). 2022 will definitely be better for altcoins than last year.
3185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 02, 2022, 08:16:21 PM
I think the game tempo got so low after around 60-70th minutes.
It was a high tempo game, it is highly expected for players to get exhausted quickly in such fixtures.

Hoping for more goals on the 2nd half but it was kinda boring
Really i was too, with the way the first half went and the number of goals we saw, i was thinking the game will be impossible to end in a draw. Chelsea fans should be praying hard, because who is going to be their safe hands in goal when Mendy who saved a lot of balls in the game  goes for AFCON and they play Manchester city? it's going to be a tough choice.
3186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Diversifying Your Portfolio in Crypto on: January 02, 2022, 07:55:10 PM
All you hear about these Trading and Investing rules that " Dont put all your eggs in one basket " or " Diversify your portfolio "

Diversifying your portfolio is not a must, it is adviced but not a must for you to diversify especially when you are not in a position to manage or handle the financial and emotional risk involved. If you must diversify as well, do your research and make some few solid choices with projects that are promising, don't invest in too many alt coins so that you can keep proper track and not make unnecessary losses. If diversify, set durations to monitor your investment, if any seems to be going under the table with no hope, be sure to bail.
3187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 02, 2022, 05:23:53 PM
first half ended in a 2-2 draw.
Stunned at how the first 45 has ended, i never imagined Chelsea playing well today without Lukaku. Imagine Klopp had already let Mane and Salah off for the AFCON, which other names do you you tbink who have scored today? A very interesting week for anyone who played "both teams to score" on all the fixtures in today's EPL matches. Great news for Chelsea getting squared before the halftime whistle, the second 45min is definitely going to be another exciting half of football.
3188  Economy / Reputation / Re: 1 Year later, setting new goals on: January 02, 2022, 02:55:51 PM
My goal for one year from now, is to gather 0.08 BTC in total, which is relatively realistic. Even if I manage to achieve 70% of my goal, I'll be satisfied.

I totally like the ideas of setting goals just as you have done, it is an attitude and approach that other members of this forum should be encouraged to emulate. Also i think the possibility of achieving this goal is there and not just 70% but 100% with just proper anticipation of the obstacles and challenges you will face to this your goals especially as it regards accumulating more btc. Be ready to say "no" to a lot of wants and demands from people that may serve as hindrance to your goal. Best of luck in meeting your goals, Happy New Year.
3189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin close to becoming totally irrelevant for most "normal" people?? on: January 02, 2022, 09:42:55 AM
One of the top recent threads is "Btc is boring".
Boring for those who were expecting that their little investment would have made them rich by now, that is those who saw it as a get rich quick scheme, boring for those who are impatient and have no real discipline to wait and not tamper with their portfolio, boring for those with no real knowledge of bitcoin and crypto. They say time will tell, and it also applies to crypto, many of the people who make so much noise about bitcoin now without any real knowledge, noise just to feel among and be counted as those who know something will soon get tired of playing themselves, often times from the mouth of such individuals you hear statements like this "btc is boring".
3190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 01, 2022, 09:54:09 PM

Watford 0 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur

tottenham is having a crisis of scoring a lot of goals, they are in need of another player to score goals

Tottenham fans although not completely sad should be celebrating more the win over Watford had Westham not won their own game, unfortunately, it seems their efforts won't be reflected on the table. I sincerely feel that next season on the EPL will be tougher with all the top teams seeming to have found a great form and playing so well with their new and already existing coaches.
3191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 01, 2022, 02:54:39 PM
Arsenal were actually able to play well, but losing one player did affect the team's game.
Indeed, the red card against Gabriel affected us, also it looked like the officials, the referree particularly wanted Manchester city to win today. On a good note, if we are able to maintain this sort of play and improve our teams ability to convert the chances we get in front of goal to goals, the gunners flag will be flying high again.

Next game Watford - Tottenham? Tottenham has been in a fine form recently, a win for them looks sure today.
3192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 01, 2022, 01:32:54 PM
It's 1-0 now
Arsenal has scored a goal. Arsenal scored the goal in the 31st minute of the match. Assisted by Kieran Tiemey and the goal was scored by Saka.
I totally love the confidence this young arsenal team is playing with, having no respect for the Manchester city side. This first 45 minutes is definitely one of the best we have seen this season. Defensively they were able to stop Manchester city from even getting a shot on target and in attack we are looking dangerous as well. I don't think i have seen any player worry Cancelo this season the way Martinelli has, we need a second goal to secure this win, and it needs to come quickly in the second 45 minutes. Arsenal for the win!
3193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 01, 2022, 12:37:42 PM

Manchester City have not lost in any of their last 10 matches. On the other hand, Arsenal is unbeaten in the last 4 matches. So it is said that both the teams are in good form now. No team will want to lose points.
I have seen the results of past matches between Arsenal and Manchester. Manchester City have won four of their last five matches against Arsenal. Arsenal won onlyone. City has scored 11 goals in 5 matches and Arsenal have scored just 3. City is ahead in statistics. Which team seems to win today?
from this analysis,  Arsenal is still looking like the lesser team, for a team to have won four times in the last five encounters seems to me like its a team that already knows how to win the other. It will be great to see the gunners winning today's encounter and solidifying their first four position in the EPL table. Would have said the home advantage for arsenal will count, but the stadium is not looking filled to capacity. If Man city get ahead on the scoresheet, it will be difficult to get an equaliser and then win, the gunners have to play to win from the very beginning.
3194  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New year Plans and Resolutions (HNY-2022) on: January 01, 2022, 09:10:55 AM
* You be realistic in your plans
Set that which is archiveable before moving over to the next one.

People often misinterpret this to mean setting small goals that you can imagine yourself accomplishing soon. Do not plan small and call it realistic, you may get bored or not feel motivated afterwards to accomplish it because it is something small and you may loose interest. Set big goals that will excite and keep you motivated to work harder whenever they cross your mind, set goals that won't get boring with time. Think big, don't limit yourself thinking you are setting realistic goals.
3195  Economy / Economics / Re: Corporations use inflation as an excuse to raise prices and fatten profits on: January 01, 2022, 08:44:09 AM
natural resources aren't infinite, well most of them aren't so when that happens, the production of a product that has that problem will increase their prices. Also, corporations will pay more too when the inflation increases
very correct. Inflation has it's toll on businesses and corporations too, It increases operational cost and to stay in operation and not fold up, these corporations sometimes have to slightly adjust the prices of goods, not necessarily to fatten profit but to maintain profit. Although there is the possibility that some corporations take advantage of inflation to fatten profits, it is not always the case.
3196  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year - The crypto economics on: January 01, 2022, 07:52:08 AM
I have very important goal to achieve and that is to add another income sources into my existing list. This could be either e-commerce based on crypto currency payment availability.

This is the right way to approach the new year, I mean set goals to achieve, that way, you know what you are working towards. But you must also realize that challenges and obstacles to your goal will come your way and you have to be very prepared to face them because achieving your set goals will depend on how well you handle them. I wish you success this new year, all the best in achieving your goals.
3197  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I need to get something off my chest about our society on: December 31, 2021, 01:49:26 PM

somehow I always knew that I will never be able to make a living from it ( locally speaking )
First off, this mentality is bad, from the beginning, you have already reduced your chances of success with this awful thinking. No talent is useless, you just have to keep at it (consistency), have an open positive mind and have faith in what you do.

How can someone like me with no budget get recognition in the NFT world when the market is oversaturated with people who turned this into a business and are pumping money constantly to be on the TOP ?
The NFT environment is one that is still new and gaining popularity. Since you already know about it, you are at an advantage and should just give yourself time, you will definitely make sales someday. Also as a reassuring thought, you never know who is going through your work already and is just watching to see the one that will speak to them.
My advice for you is to keep working with a positive mindset, the future is bright.
3198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why should Gambling be legalized ? on: December 31, 2021, 12:30:14 PM

What else do you think could be the benefits ??

The obvious reason is for revenue as everyone has said, but another perspective is the medical benefits that gambling can provide in the sense of relaxation and stress reduction for people. More people are stressed from working or thinking overtime due to difficult economic situations, some turn to gambling as a way to free themselves from the day's stress, as a way to have fun and maybe make some money in the process. The government from analysis can ascertain this, so legalizing it and setting regulations to ensure that your citizens get the relaxation they seek is in the right direction. The more of relaxation people get, the more productive they become when it is time for work, so that's another reason to me.
3199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Crypto Christmas; Using Bitcoin to help feed the homeless on: December 31, 2021, 07:23:40 AM
Its almost the end of the year. Christmas is here again and everyone is excited and busy with the festive season so much so we forget what Christmas is really about. Christmas is commercial these days.  As a result, I decided to start this project "Christmas In the Slums" mainly because I always wanted to help lift my community using crypto.
I totally love the gesture behind this campaign, Christmas is a time really for giving, not just to family and close friends, but also to those who are in need. Many of these people in the slums and the homeless have never experienced any form of love from anyone, it is always good to remind them that there is still some good in the world. I sincerely hope this gesture continues next year in a bigger and better way. As a suggestion, i think the sensitisation about cryptocurrency and the opportunities in it to those who have an interest will go a long way.
3200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the point hodling, if you can't risk it all? on: December 31, 2021, 04:21:26 AM
Hodling could be just as risky as any other technique to crypto trading or investment strategy.
Yes exactly, there is no zero risk

Some crypto hodlers are just holding, no plans for the crypto they are holding, no target, so they just hodl their coins indefinitely with no idea of what to do. I particularly find it risky to hodl coins aimlessly. Apart from the obvious challenges to Hodling, holding for a long time may bore the user of crypto, lead to carelessness and he/she may just let his guard down safe guarding his crypto portfolio, and we all know how that will result. Hodling is good, but risky when it becomes without aim.
