he actively endorses people who have been involved in multiple exit scams [..] and avoid the sites in their signatures at all cost Ironic, considering you've heavily shilled Betcoin. I have yet to PM or receive a PM from some of the users that I have given a positive trust to. The worst thing that I have done is make a snide comment about butthurt users like yourself in a private message. Apart from that, I don't really talk to a lot of other DT users.
however suchmoon wanted to have a personal use of merit as well Always applying post hoc to every single event, aren't you? Certainly then, because I received a negative feedback from xSplit and Bazinga442 after tagging you, they are your alternate accounts! @suchmoon, I can't be bought. bribe or intimidation doesn't work on me. It wasn't a bribe?

With the same logic, during prohibition, everyone who had at one point bought alcohol should have been refunded and incarcerated. You can't retroactively apply regulations like this. He basically lost BTC by gambling and now he is using this lame excuse to get his money back. Basically no different than the people who email support saying that they clicked "Max Bet" and ended up losing their entire balance on 1 bet. Probably. for what? what will you do if i provide them. Whooosh.

if none of you are going to remove your illegit red tags on me What part of my feedback is false? I wont lock these threads though. I will keep coming back. if I'm not PMing your masters is because I really don't want you to lose your DT2 status, you guys are good slaves for theymos. ??? You don't want me to lose my DT status but you don't want me on DT. What? I don't see any reason for keeping actmyname on DT2, he/she has tagged a few members in total You need to look up the definition of "few". I believe that he/she is an alt account of somebody. Believe whatever you want to believe but it's already been confirmed many times over that I'm Lauda. /sbecause there are far more better people deserving to be on DT2 like Timelord2067. even though he has tagged me 3 times. So you would be happy with Timelord applying negative trust for the same feedback but not me. I don't quite understand your logic. why isn't he on DT2 and actmyname is? yes because he doesn't suck for people. he is not a good little bitch to listen to the masters of this forum. For the record, the real reason is because of a 'war on spam' of sorts, which ended with the implementation of the merit system. At the time, I must have had over 200 negative feedbacks sent out to spammers.

Yep, that's suspicious to say the least--but I'm not tagging merit abusers and I'm not sure if anyone is consistently. Obvious ones I've seen get busted, but I don't know what the threshold is for obvious. This is about as obvious as you get, however.
My guess is that if they show up to defend themselves--which might only happen if they get tagged, they're going to say they're friends, or they'll give some related excuse. I'll be a-watchin'. Tagged FollowSynergy and nickbelski. Not 100% sure on Jazzycrypt so their account will be left neutral. The other users also look suspicious but it's not explicit enough for me to warrant a tag. Usually, when there's a bit of doubt, I won't carry through with it. But in the case of FS and nick, that should be clear to anybody.

Locked now. PM me if you want me to unlock the thread to continue the discussion.

After theymos excluding you from his trust list, keeping you on DT2 means that DT1 member(s) don't care what the admin thinks or wants, while all the DT is based on his trust network. you guys saying that DT is decentralized, consider theymos as the Bitcoin core, if you are not respecting his rules and protocols then you are trying to fork the trust system. a.k.a Bcash and stuff like that. You think DT is centralized, then. If theymos's exclusions are king, then I should be off the network. It should be a -999 exclusion. But that's not how he designed the system and that's not how he wanted to design the system. Now, why do you think that is? Give it some more thought and then maybe you'll find that DT1 members having the choice of disagreeing with theymos is the point.
Oh, and I do respect the rules, which is why I don't double-post. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Your insufferable indignancy really doesn't do any favors.

Feels like it would be a mostly-wasted effort since a lot of spammers and individuals with low English coherence will completely disregard the thread and jump straight into bounties/campaigns.
However, that tiny 0.001% of users will benefit from it and I don't see the harm in doing so. Just don't expect any significant results on a macro scale.

Micro is right. That's less than $2. What, I need a loan to buy a pen? The transaction fee is going to be 10% of the loan amount! Maybe you should start with at least $100?
|
|
|
Ask for a loan in your somewhere in your local municipality. It's not a lot of money so it shouldn't be a problem.
And unlike an online forum, you won't be able to get away with it if you do choose to run off with the money.

waah waah i don't have merit waah waah i can't earn money by posting garbage anymore waah waah the system is unfair to people who don't care about proper discussion waah waah i just want to join my bounty sir please

It doesn't make sense to show Trust to guests, since Trust is relative. Got it. I hadn't noted that consideration when publishing the thread. For merit, it was just an implementation shortcut. If people care, I can (at some point) make the user summaries public. I think it's only really necessary during these early few months since merit abuse will become far less frequent down the line. I just wanted to have a way to archive the data for future use in case any concerns were being pressed.
Now that theymos has responded (and there has been sufficient discussion), I will lock the thread in roughly 24h (unless anyone has more to say).

I don't have the authority to question people and ask for signed messages, simply I can only suggest to admins with my posts. You do have the ability to create threads and list out the people who have changed their emails and passwords. It's not as if you can't bring that kind of information to public attention: it would help out greatly if you have the time for it. Anybody can still question others and ask for signed messages. That's how it should be here.
|
|
|
Ask for signed messages. If they don't prove original ownership of the account, then make a thread referencing the absence of that. Just because passwords and emails are changed doesn't mean that the account has switched hands.
It is likely that it has, but you would have to verify it.

So the entire playerauctions.com website is a scam right even if hundreds of accounts are sold everyday https://archive.is/aPaGY#selection-657.0-657.527
Your Account, including any information pertaining to it (e.g.: contact information, billing information, Account history and Subscriptions, etc.), is strictly personal. You may therefore not sell or charge others for the right to use your Account, or otherwise transfer your Account, nor may you sell, charge others for the right to use, or transfer any Subscriptions other than if and as expressly permitted by this Agreement (including any Subscription Terms or Rules of Use) or as otherwise specifically permitted by Valve. Payment have been received as usual, thanks to actmyname and the foxbt team. My question is has the campaign ended to those who have below 10k followers?
Yes. The week 5 spreadsheet shows who remains in the campaign. Since we are looking for participants with high follower counts, it wouldn't make sense to keep all of the participants from the previous week with less than the minimum payout requirement.

Should be banned. Useless oneliner posts that are made within minutes of one another add nothing to the forum. And someone that posts only those kinds of replies is not someone that is good for the forum.

How would you know if marlboroza didn't ask for money to change his first tag on me? Whether he did or he didn't, it doesn't change your feedback. you don't and I could set him up easily just to get back at him, doing that would only cause more unwanted discussions. ? but if there was a system where I could for example report some garbage posts and only then my red tag could be removed, we could have eliminated all the possible ways for colluding and for any personal use of DT power. So you want scammers to be able to scam again? You could say this is a strawman but you would still have to consider the consequence of allowing scammers to have a way of removing their red tag.

How would you display trust to someone that is not logged in? Fair point. But what of merit, then? Plus, new users would likely get the wrong impression of several people due to their trust ratings, and may discredit their posts as a result of that hence the reason why certain sections do not show trust ratings. They already do do that, even without having this public. As I'm sure we're all aware, one of the biggest problems here is having Newbies overestimate the trustworthiness of ranks.
