3181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC on Gambling Business on: August 28, 2022, 02:10:40 AM
Is this unavoidable in crypto based casinos? Or are crypto gamblers also required to do KYC? If so, crypto can't be as anonymous as it used to be because we realize that today's governments have gone too far in controlling a person's identity and what they use the internet for.

Cryptocurrencies itself are decentralized but crypto-based casinos aren't. Gambling websites have no choice but to impose KYC verification because their business is licensed and regulated by the government.

And will this trigger crypto-based casinos that use wallet logins to develop better because they don't need to register as usual and only need to connect their wallets to the casino? Or do they also need to do KYC? Or for this type of casino can still be "forced" to do KYC?

I'm pretty sure gambling websites will still ask for KYC even if they develop a new form of using their platform especially if the withdrawal is too huge that it looks suspicious. One of the purpose of KYC is to prevent criminals from using these gambling casinos in their illegal activities.
3182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins is a good way to keep and save money or not? on: August 27, 2022, 09:40:48 PM
Stablecoins are not a safe way to save money for me. Even if it's fiat-backed like BUSD or USDC, there is no guarantee that it is still existing in the future like 5 or 10 years from now. If the insitution backing those stablecoin collapse then its value will also depeg just like what happen to UST.

Saving money in fiat is still the better choice for me. Banks where we usually put our money will not just close if the economy of our country is not in danger.
3183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: August 27, 2022, 06:08:47 PM
NFTs were never meant to be hyped and that is not the purpose why it's created The only reason why NFT was hyped last year was because of those arts and collectibles that are being sold at a ridiculuous price. Many people thought that it is a get rich quick scheme until bear season happened.

it doesn't matter if that hype will return or not. What I believe is that it will grow more in the future once more companies adopt to the web3 technology. Like in game industry, some popular game copanies are slowly transistioning to web3 technology that they are adding some blockchain aspects to their game where gamers can benefit from playing.
3184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your ultimate choice? on: August 27, 2022, 09:58:31 AM
Definitely bitcoin is the best choice for me. No other cryptocurrencies would be created if not because of it. Bitcoin is the reason why our financial system made a huge breakthrough. Government keeps spreading fuds about it because they see it as a threat in the banking system. With its scarce supply, it is the safest crypto to invest for me because its price keeps increasing over the years as the adoption also grows.
3185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bounty on: August 26, 2022, 09:45:13 AM
Knowing a good bounty is very difficult these days. Participating on these bounties can be a gamble especially if it's not managed by a reputable person and your only basis that they will pay you is "trust". Even if a project has a good community it doesn't guarantee that they will pay you. It would just be a waste of time trying your luck participating on bounties now. It's more better to learn trading or other skills which you can offer to earn cryptocurrencies.
3186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you regret when you miss selling at ATH followed by a correction on: August 26, 2022, 08:28:23 AM
No one knows the peak of each crypto during bull run so we should learn to sell when we are already at profit. Many people forgot to sell during a bull season because of their greediness of having a huge profit. A parabolic crypto during those season could dump and make a correction anytime. Market has two cycles so we shouldn't be afraid that we won't be able to buy again at lower prices.
3187  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | Earn up to 50% rakeback | VIP | on: August 26, 2022, 07:32:51 AM
Everyone is concerned with their privacy and you need to submit your documents along with your selfies also holding the identity document which could be serious problem if something bad happens in future so people don't want to go through the same.We have seen many hacks and your information can be used in illegal works so being anonymous is priority of many.

This is why we should be wary on what platforms we submit our private information. We can't really avoid these KYC regulations because AMLC require those information and gambling websites also need to protect their business from criminals that will use their platform for illegal activities. We should just chose a reputable gambling website on doing KYC verification because they have less risk of being hacked.
3188  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 26, 2022, 06:00:28 AM
It cant really be that avoided that people would really be keep on discussing it specially now that they are tending to make it Level 2 KYC as i had heard off which do make things even more worst.
Level 2 mandatory? Never heard of this. If this is actually true, Roobet is seriously screwing themselves in a big way. So many gamblers including me hated the mandatory first level verification itself.
This is true and this is the main reason why this KYC fiasco started here on the roobet thread due to some report of players that they are asking KYC while support tells its mandatory to all user.

This step two verification is really a hassle for users of roobet. I don't see the relevance of why they need the social media since anyone can fake their account. And do they think that everyone publicize everything on social media. The ID and valid document are already enough to verify their users identity just like what other gambling websites require. They will definitely lose loyal users if they continue to impose this rule.

3189  Economy / Gambling / Re: Livecasino.io - 🔥 up to 20% cashback 🔥 up to 20% rakeback 🚨 on: August 26, 2022, 03:57:30 AM
~snip~

Usually, people don't pay attention to details and they just see the logos and style of the body of the email and think this is from the official gambling platform. That's the reason hackers keep trying the same trick again and again as they know that most of gamblers aren't aware of this hacking attempt.

I think when we log in at the gambling site, every time we should see a popup message warning us about phishing attempts so that we are mainly aware of them.
Well, that's what I meant. And if people don't learn from other people's mistakes and still don't pay attention to the details of emails, they can fall into scams and happen them repeatedly. Hackers are bound to try all sorts of ways, from the classics to the newest ones, to trick their potential targets and get what they want. We are lucky if we can always be careful of emails sent to our email addresses, and if the email looks suspicious, we can immediately delete it and not open it.

Let's admit that it's really hard to always recognize if the email is suspicious and we can't prevent to click one of those sometimes. Those phishing emails are not really dangerous like a one-click virus that will quickly do its purpose. As long as we know how to verify the site's security and don't easily give the info that the phishing email is asking then our accounts should be safe. Using an antivirus software will also help to alert you if you downloaded a malicious file on your device.
3190  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|$10 000 Daily Battles|🚀Swap BFG on Binance Wallet on: August 26, 2022, 02:52:59 AM
If BFG just wants to break into the top 100 I don't think it's difficult they could use the back door by buying and selling their own tokens
Many tokens that use this method just want to appear active in the market , well the problem is BFG wants to grow naturally
This means  BFG must go through many processes to achieve it and there is no other choice  have to wait any longer.

Hyping a coin or token is not good for the project especially if they are not prepared for it like they haven't accomplished many things on their roadmap. They will just ruin their project if they create fake volumes on exchanges that BFG is listed. A project that is new shouldn't focus on their marketcap rank but instead continue building and establishing a solid community that will support them in the long run.
3191  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it advisable as a starter to engage in future trade? on: August 25, 2022, 12:28:18 PM
Even an expert trader won't recommend anyone to engage in futures trading. It is very risky and can be considered gambling if you do it without proper knowledge.

Futures trading can be very stressful for me because it frustrates you when your stop-loss gets hit or your portfolio gets liquidated. It's better to do spot trading where you just lose money if you sell at a loss.
3192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Average crypto futures trader monthly salary is 9000$-30,000$ on: August 25, 2022, 11:27:13 AM
-snip

How did you end up with this percentage without giving us decent proof. I don't believe in such a huge profit in trading especially if its futures. There is no guaranteed profit in trading whatever time frame it is. Futures trading is a very risky career and no one would risk their job just to focus on it. Being a successful trader doesn't only require to be good in reading charts and candlesticks, it also needs some strong discipline which not everyone can achieve.
3193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best portfolio for a $30k fund? on: August 25, 2022, 10:18:16 AM
ETH, BNB, and BTC should definitely be on the list as it will really give you profit in the long run. It just depends on you how much you are going to allocate on those crypto as each of them has different possible returns in the future. For other altcoins, SOL and MATIC is a good choice for me as those tokens have their own blockchains that uses low-fees and quite popular in the world of NFTs and web3 stuffs.
3194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto bounty hunter stolen crypto on: August 25, 2022, 09:00:43 AM
What is the name of this scam site you talking about? Can you share information on that? I am thinking this is a MLM website where you are promised that your Ethereum will be doubled, truth is you won't be able to recover your money, many have tried this before and they gave up since trying to recover will make you spend extra money again.

OP should be careful if someone will talk to him telling that he can recover those stolen funds. Those are definitely a scam and will just cause him to lose more if he deposit money to them. I also believe that those assets are not recoverable anymore since it happened on blockchain.

I feel bad for OP but this should be a lesson for him to not believe in some "too good to be true" investment schemes. Don't ever attempt also to put your life savings in cryptocurrencies as they are very volatile.
3195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play Slots? (long sessions / jumper / focussed) on: August 25, 2022, 07:56:06 AM
Option A : Do you play one slot for a long time, until you hit the feature or until you win something big?

I'm this type of person when playing in slot machines. There is a belief in our country that betting the same number on lotteries will bring you fortune in the long run so I apply the same logic on slots. I keep playing on a particular slot machine until it gives me some satisfying profit. It also makes me feel disappointed when I use other slots then I see someone wins on the slot that I originally used.
3196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Employers Screen Applicants for Problem Gambling Before Employment? on: August 25, 2022, 07:07:38 AM
I'd like to know your thoughts -  Do you think that employers should screen potential employees for problem gambling before employment?

It's ok to screen applicants if they have past gambling problem but that shouldn't just be the reason if he will get rejected. There are gamblers who know their boundaries and doesn't bring their personal issues or habits on their work. Though there are gamblers who have extreme addiction that could resort to some crime to the company or their workmate but only few would go that far because they could go to jail if they really do it.
3197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we gamble or trade? on: August 25, 2022, 04:27:17 AM
We emphasize again trading is not gambling!

Trading can only be gambling if you don't have any knowledge on what you are doing. There are people that buys a particular coin only because of hype and not doing any research about it where in the end many of them lose money because they bought at peak.

Trading also has less risk because there are things like charts and candlesticks that can help you analyze the risk before executing a trade unlike gambling where you just rely on your luck if you are going to win.

A slew of recent articles has demonstrated that the issue of crypto exchanges faking trading volumes is not going anywhere.

Fake volumes only happens on low cap cryptos or usually shitcoin, trading those can be a gamble because those coins can pump or dump very quick so if you want to be conservative trader, it's better to stick to cryptos that are already popular.
3198  Economy / Gambling / Re: Punt.com 🦵💸 | Crypto's Finest Casino | 0% Commission PvP Dice Duels 🚀 🎰 🎲 🔥 on: August 24, 2022, 05:12:29 AM
Punt.com need to have separated page to explain more details about their VIP program so potential player do not need to create an account first to check the benefits/advantages of being active players in their casino.

Their website needs a FAQ page where we can find stuff like that and also some questions commonly asked by gamblers like what are the accepted cryptocurrencies. Logos aren't enough way for me telling that they accept those cryptocurrencies. It should also include what documents they will ask on their basic KYC verification since they have enhanced KYC. The ToS section is well made and it discussed properly the usual concerns of users about VPN and KYC.

Anyway, welcome to the forum Punt.com! Hoping you a huge success on your website and looking forward for your promotions in the future.
3199  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 23, 2022, 12:28:57 PM

The difference is, it is likely not a problem for whales to lose big time since they're rich, unlike to some average gamblers (who keep on playing to win) because it can really hurt their financial status.

Nevertheless its really wise to not rely on gambling as a money making activity because its risky.
Whales have their own way of gambling and they can risk big amounts also and they play as leisure activity but we should enjoy our way of gambling playing always in limits because we can't compete with them at any level so it's better to be your own in this game.
Some whales rely too much on their gambling profit, they earn big but they lose big as well. We can’t just compare every whales since they have their own purpose to gamble and different goal most probably. Whales might not interested anymore with the bonuses but still Rollbit is very generous and they have promotions for VIPs and most probably they are also participating on that. If you are not that big time gambler, just enjoy the game. Smiley

Even if those bonuses are nothing to whales, it still important for a casino to have a continuous promotion on their platform. It provides more entertainment to its users to keep playing on their platform. It's one of the sign I look for in considering a good gambling website.

Casino events are also one of the things that gamblers enjoy because most of them are known to be competitive and winning on those highly boost their confidence in gambling.
3200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How should i diversify my crypto portfolio? on: August 22, 2022, 06:40:11 PM
For me, there is no proper way of diversifying a crypto portfolio. It all depends on that individual how he will divide his money. There are people that holds more than 10 crypto because they believe in the potential of new projects. While there are others who chose to only hold the crypto that already has a solid community.

Going all-in on eth is not that bad decision. It has continous development and has already done many contribution in the crypto space.
