3181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 22, 2021, 03:06:49 PM
If you look at it from that perspective then everything is pretty much a gamble.
For example : You invest in any particular coin then you are taking the risk and hoping for it to increase in price over the years.

NFT doesn't have anything to do with gambling itself and it's just a way of representing a particular thing.
And yes, NFTs can also be gambled because when you buy it you are putting your money at risk and hoping that someone else would buy it from you at a higher price.
That's ofcourse if you are buying to make a profit out of it and not just to showcase.
3182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 22, 2021, 02:25:26 PM
The latest creator update from Twitch says,

Quote
"To prevent harm and scams created by questionable gambling services that sponsor content on Twitch, we will prohibit sharing links and/or referral codes to sites that offer slots, roulette, or dice games,”

Now streamers have time till 17th August to remove any such contents from their videos.

News ref: https://dotesports.com/streaming/news/twitch-introduces-restrictions-on-gambling-related-links

Do you foresee any Impact on crypto gambling?

I think that's a good thing that Twitch cares about their audience and wants to contribute in decreasing scams.
But at the same time I don't think it will matter much to the scammers or gambling sites or gamblers because the internet is huge.
Anybody can find an alternative for anything on the internet and so does the scammers.
Twitch is doing their part on decreasing the scam and I think many other websites will follow the suit in upcoming years.
3183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTO CASINOS WITH STAKING FEATURE on: August 22, 2021, 02:17:44 PM
I don't know if this is same with staking feature, freebitcoin has saving feature you can locked FUN Token to earn interest and the period has a choice, and this very limited period

I don't think it is a proper staking coin but rather they are just providing rewards for locking it up on their platform.
Staking is when we are putting our coins at stake as validators to help the blockchain ecosystem of that particular project.
I am not sure how many coins in OP are serving this purpose. May be most of them are just lent to others for rewards and not actually staking.
3184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: August 21, 2021, 03:25:55 PM
Even without the social media influencers, we already have traditional media and most of the time, culture itself, that tends to show gambling to children at an early age. You don't gamble with money before but when you play your marbles or your trading cards, of course these games gives the children the value of playing and then giving away your stuff to the opposite player if you lose the game. Some cultures also has small spider fights or other insects maybe then they gamble not money but the insects themselves, giving 2 spiders to the winner.
Playing marbles and cards in our child's time can bring us to gambling because sometimes, we use marbles and risk it to be the winner. We do not think that is gambling because we are kids who do not know much about gambling. But after we grow up and get more information, we will consider if by getting something, we need to risk other things, it could be called gambling. that is a small thing that many adult people do not realize about the traditional games that our kids played.

That actually makes sense. We all are facing situations where we have to gamble right from our childhood.
The gambles doesn't necessarily have to be with money but anything whether it be toys, food, clothes, games or anything.
I think rather than restricting the children to gambling we can actually educate them towards gambling but with the right intention.
We can educate them towards the Do's and Dont's of gambling and how addiction towards gambling can ruin his life.
3185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Gamble as a newbie on: August 21, 2021, 03:12:50 PM
I am a day old in this forum and am understanding some ways in which one can get rewarded and one of such is gambling, but again, one needs to understand the risk involved.

What are your guides from your personal experience of gambling?

If you are thinking gambling would yield you good profits then you are completely mistaken.
Most of the people who gamble often lose money rather than making money.
Yes, there are people who do make money but consistent profits in gambling is like a myth.

To get started with gambling I would recommend you choosing a good gambling website.
You can read reviews on btcgosu.com and decide for yourself which website to register in.
Start with small amounts that you can afford to lose. Don't bet with high amounts for at least a month.
Get a good grasp of what gambling acutally is and then build a strategy on how to proceed.
3186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All hail king 👑 BTC on: August 21, 2021, 03:05:23 PM
That's absolutely true. But most of the people joining the crypto community are joining because of the high returns that cryptocurrencies give when compared to other assets.
I have seen completely new people to crypto asking if he should invest in Dogecoin. This shows that people are just getting involved because of the hype around crypto.
This is why we all should make people aware of what they are doing and ask them to rather get started with bitcoin.
Investing in altcoins is their own personal choice but only when they know what crypto is all about and they know what they are doing.
3187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Work To Learn And Not To Earn. on: August 21, 2021, 02:55:44 PM
This is not just another forum but a place where you could gain immense knowledge, skills, earning opportunities as well as an ability to improvise yourself.
If it were not for this forum I would have been just like any other random person scrolling on social media.
I have gained a lot of wisdom and made some good friends on this forum.
Just one advice for newbies is to believe in yourself and have the craving and curiosity to learn something everyday.
3188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Saving Vs Staking on: August 21, 2021, 02:24:09 PM
Saving was a great thing for the generation before us but right now saving your money just by holding it in banks is probably the worst thing to do.
Inflation rates are almost more than interest rate on savings account. So we are actually losing money by just holding it in banks.

Investing is a better choice but at the same time we must be very careful on what we are investing.
Investing in cryptocurrencies has been very beneficial for many people. Cryptocurrencies which allow us to stake is more like a blessing.
But at the same time we must do a thorough research on how we are staking our coins.
Giving the custody of our coins to a third party would be risky and so we should look for options where we don't have to give the custody to a third party.
Staking coins while still owning them is the right way to go.
3189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Share your costly lesson about cryptocurrency.. on: August 21, 2021, 01:42:30 PM
Three mistakes of my crypto life

1. Joining Pump and Dump
This was back in 2016-2017 when I was just beginning to learn to trade. I got hyped up and joined these pump and dump groups.
Obviously I lost a lot of money in it because we can't make money in pump and dumps. As soon as we get in the coin gets dumped.

2. Bitconnnnnnnect
Yeah I know. I shouldn't have invested in it. Greed makes you blind.
Investing in such ponzi schemes would lead to a loss and that is what I learnt from investing in it.
But fortunately the amount I invested wasn't much but good enough to learn such a lesson.

3. Trading on emotions
This is very recent. I traded a coin and lost half of my portfolio in it because I was trading in FOMO.
I think I am not that good of a trader and should probably just HODL.
3190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep casino tokens or sell for new investment? on: August 20, 2021, 03:25:48 PM

Would you sell the casino tokens you hold for a long time that the price could posssibly go up this bull season or keep the casino tokens that shares profit of $1.20 a day?

Just a delimma for anyone to think of. I have something in mind but I wanna ask your opinion since I also bet everyday in this casino.

Why not do both by splitting it up ? Sell half the tokens and wait for the market to pump while holding 50% of tokens and get a share of $0.6 a day.
This would make more sense if you are not sure of what to do or how the market would behave in the upcoming moths.
Also, it depends on the number of tokens you hold and the value you will get by selling those coins.
3191  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: August 20, 2021, 03:14:32 PM

Talking about going all in and losing - Yes I have done it many times and I feel pity on myself for that  Grin But I acknowledged the risk before doing it so worries.
Gambling is sometimes just frustrating enough that we take the quick decision of "Fuck it lets go all in" and we all know how our luck is - Busted!
Despite losing, I still like playing the crash game more than any other game because of the thrill it gives me as the number and graph goes up.  Grin

I remembered one site mentioning that it's not for the faint hearted, so yeah Wink

Speaking of that, a few years back on a CSGO gambling website, I had like several hundred dollars in referral commission. Thought of going all in to snag some cool virtual item (skin) because I wanted to take the shortcut.

I went in after the insta-crash only to see another one, of all outcomes.

I know right. It literally feels like "Why God Why?"

But to be honest, it all boils down to our luck. My luck in gambling is shit and I have accepted it.
This is why I have stopped gambling with big amounts and just gamble for fun with bare minimum amounts.
There's no shortcut and we have to get through the hard way to get those beautiful rewards.
3192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many consecutive looses can you handle in trading? on: August 20, 2021, 03:09:53 PM
It is popular opinion sometimes that a trading strategy might no longer be effective if one begins to loose money while trading instead of gaining.

An important question i ask myself whenever i hear about people complaining or simply discussing a series of consecutive looses they have made while trading using a certain strategy is;

HOW MANY CONSECUTIVE LOOSES IN TRADING CAN YOU HANDLE BEFORE YOU ACCEPT THAT YOUR CURRENT TRADING STRATEGY IS BECOMING LESS EFFECTIVE?

For me it's 4 straight losses that burns me from inside and then I stop trading for a while and analyze my trades.
I don't step back in before I am really sure of what I am doing. I usually change the coin or strategy for trading before I get back in.
This actually happened recently and I faced consecutive losses. Now I have started accumulating the losses again by other means.
Once I get enough I will think to start trading again but until then I will probably be on a break from trading.
3193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why some small coins rise in price for 10%-20% in a day WITHOUT any news? on: August 20, 2021, 02:34:54 PM
Cryptocurrency has an open community and this makes anything possible in crypto.
I have never heard of the coins you mentioned. These coins do not have such a huge marketcap which makes them easier to be manipulated.
It can surely be a pump and dump or a co-ordinated manipulation gradually executed over a period of time.
I would rather advice you not  to focus on such coins and instead focus on the top 20 coins by marketcap.
3194  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mobile phone vs. laptop vs. tab...what's your preferred device for day trading? on: August 20, 2021, 02:22:06 PM
Among the three, laptops are more convenient for day trading because of the ease of access to different tools in the charts.
Laptops and Desktop PCs are used most often for technical analysis. Bigger screens give more information about the assets.
More information gives a better understanding about the price action. Phone and tablets are only used when the person doesn't have access to his system.
3195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Afghanistan and Taiwan on: August 19, 2021, 03:52:04 PM
Given the events in Afghanistan over the last week, it is a great example of where bitcoin could have been of great use to the people of the country.  The currency, the Afghani, fell to record lows.  Anyone who owned bitcoin was protected and could escape the country with their assets, not worrying about capital controls or confiscation at the border.

Given that China sees how weak the current US administration is, Taiwanese should beware and should have escape plans in place:  assets offshore in the US, EU, Switzerland etc and some large percentage in bitcoin.  The people of Hong Kong had an opportunity to do so, and probably still have a slight window, but right now Taiwan is in a place where the people should be concerned about the communists at their door.

I was thinking of the same thing. Just as I started reading about the things going on in Afghanistan a thought came into my mind.

What if the Taiwan people who know control the government of Afghanistan declare their tradition fiat currency as illegal.
Everybody who holds that currency will basically have zero money. I explained this thing to my brother and said him that this why it is absolutely necessary to hold some possession in bitcoin.
He understood my point.

The thought of your life savings turning into zero overnight is very thrilling and this is why it is necessary that a globally accepted currency not controlled by the government should exist.
Bitcoin is the way ahead for many such problems.
3196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ban, mission impossible on: August 19, 2021, 03:44:09 PM
Given the nature of this digital currency, there are always conversations to be heard about not buying Bitcoin, as Bitcoin works outside the traditional banking system, so there are too many opponents to it. However, its design is such that no one can create a particular barrier to buying it. If you have access to the Internet and a Bitcoin wallet, you can invest in buying Bitcoin.

Many countries have struggled to obtain this digital currency. Bolivia, Thailand, Vietnam and Bangladesh, for example, are all trying to obtain Bitcoin. Even more advanced countries such as Russia, Japan, Australia and Venezuela have attempted to legally sell Bitcoin. But it is interesting to note that some countries, such as India and the United States, have not yet taken action in this regard and have not yet defined an official policy on such currencies.

In general, it should be said that bitcoin cannot be an obstacle, and this is one of the advantages of Bitcoin.

The countries which have not adopted crypto yet are still not fully familiar with regulating cryptocurrencies.
Many countries are worried for their citizens and that it will increase the amount of online fraud.
Many countries are still worried because cryptocurrencies like bitcoin is a strong competition to their tradition fiat currency.
Many countries are worried that it will increase money laundering and corruption.

While these countries are facing such issues I am positive that they will find a way through it and will soon adopt cryptocurrencies.
Some countries have already started the adoption of cryptocurrencies and other will just follow their lead.

Lol that's really unlucky; went all-in on crash and lost it ?

One of the reasons why I keep most of my signature campaign monies in a custodial wallet rather than gambling them away, heh.

I did some bets on roulette, then just said fuck it and went all in.

Not a fan of crash tbh; my luck with it is like almost non-existent with those instas the moment I place my bets.

@iv4n, $800 in bonus? Whoa, how much did you deposit?

Talking about going all in and losing - Yes I have done it many times and I feel pity on myself for that  Grin But I acknowledged the risk before doing it so worries.

3198  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the math behind a casino's "max bet" and bankroll management? on: August 19, 2021, 03:28:50 PM
I don't know how the casinos make this possible but if I were a casino site owner I would simply implement a code in the website which does the below.

I would get the bet amount from the user and get the bet result through the provably fair algorithm.
Upon receiving the winning bet I would calculate the total winning amount.
If the winning amount is greater than 0.75% of bankroll then I would keep an auto cashout where current bet result amount = 0.75% of bankroll
All of this would be happening very quickly.

You Can Now Make Travel Bookings With FUN Token!

FUN Token is making your travel dreams come true with an exciting update:

Travala.com has partnered with FUN Token to integrate it as a payment method on their website!

Now, book flights, hotels, tours, and much more using your FUN Tokens on Travala. Go on an adventure, fulfill your wanderlust, and live the life you've always wanted with Travala and FUN Token!

That's very exciting. Traveling and paying in cryptocurrencies is a great idea and I am happy that FUN tokens can be used to make the payments for traveling.
FUN token has added another usecase to it's list and I think now people would be more attracted towards buying these tokens.
This can be a good reason for the price increase of FUN tokens.

That's a big achievement by the Fun token. Now Fun token is not only the gambling site token but it can be used to pay at Travala.
Considering the price of Fun token is too less and the travelling payments are way higher, means that people have to buy a lot of fun token first in order to get their deal done at travala.com.

Yes that's right. If many people start buying the FUN tokens the price of it is bound to increase a lot.
Accumulating now would probably be more beneficial once FUN tokens kicks it off.
Who knows what more FUN tokens will be used for in the future. A bright future ahead of it.

Are those numbers for real, because I am surprised that somebody has actually won those huge amount which is actually an insane. Because I am sure it had an huge wager to win those amounts and not surely only a millionaire guy could dare to wager that big and luckily ends up winning it.

You can check those numbers on the website itself. It takes huge amount of money to fulfill the wagering requirement to get those rewards.
Also, I think only those people who are rich enough already get those huge rewards.
I wish people would get those rewards randomly  Grin At least someone would have gained huge benefits  Tongue
