is Berlusconi an owner there? or the press is just relating Monza to him?
yeah, three wins in a row were somehow more than unexpected, but they are back to losing route, where they meet Verona, with even longer losing strike - 7 games, 8 lose in a row will make a history for Verona, in a negative way, they never lost eight matches in a row - statistically I have Monza to win, history has to change Smiley

Yeah, he bought them when they were in Serie C 4 seasons ago, promised to take them to Serie A, which has happened, so he's kind of a god hero cult status in some parts (obviously because of his past also a villain so Monza is also Team Evil). Milan, on the other hand, have been improving since he sold them so win win I guess.

Will Napoli have an insane 8 points advantage over second place?

update: 2-1 finally  Smiley

The 1:1 score does look statistically attractive, the problem is that it is in a range that is narrower than the score range where one of the teams wins. A draw is an event more rare than the victory of a favorite or an outsider, oddly enough.

Watched only the first half, but as it turned out, was all I needed to watch. Great game for the neutrals, as usual, though I did have Napoli to score another for an exact score, but Lookman and Osimhen are the heart of both team's precision. Couldn't agree more with Trofo they are such a joy to watch (and pretty awesome they did most of the hard work without Osimhen).

Sort of a shame Nigeria doesn't have such a great midfield to allow them to play the way they do in Italy.

Juggy, Haaland doesn't need 90 mins but I went for boring Mitrovic cause Fulham will keep a clean sheet today. Ha ha ha.

Haaland needs 30 minutrs tops.  But we'll see.

See, as it turns out, he only needed 10 minutes, even if it was ruled out offside, it was nominal and proves why you pick him if he's even playing 30 minutes. He knows exactly how to score goals, KdB knows exactly how to supply it. It was just so annoying to see how easy the assist was, everyone could see it coming for miles, yet no one could do anything about it except VAR.

Penalty given to Haaland of course, too, to complete the 30 minutes debut with a goal. Wasn't a good pen tbh haha.

Also, I had no idea Mitrovic has been injured for so long (another guy I'd pick even 25% fit) thanks Serbia haha. Makes note to remind myself to put picks in early so I can at least research.
3183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 05, 2022, 04:30:36 PM
Bayern game at Berlin was some kind of magic, wasn't it? 5 goals in the first half, including 2 quickfire comebacks from Hertha, I don't think anyone would have dared bet against Bayern scoring again after they went 3-nil up!

Bayern Munich defenders are having problems with concentration. They need to be more careful in the second half. Because Selke and Richter are playing very effective football today.

And effectively nullified each other in the second half, attempts ticker barely went up, save for Rogel's disallowed goal.

Bochum knows how to surprise big teams in the league but now they look really bad in the league.

Which is why they're an amazing bet with over 10/1 odds, but don't fall for them for anything less than that (which was the case today against BVB).
3184  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX comedy and might be another exchange that bites the dust? on: November 05, 2022, 03:53:49 PM
This is just a business strategy to get a bigger number of customers. It can also be a strategy to gather as much KYC data as he can...
Maybe, but you can still use FTX exchange without passing any KYC verification (.com version), you will be very limited for withdrawal amount per day, but it will still be usable.

Try signing up with a throwaway account. I guarantee in the future you'll suddenly be getting invites and spam from new crypto opportunities or ventures down the road from questionable startups. Shady begets shady. All exchanges do that, I feel, judging from how bloated my throwaways have become, and when the breadcrumbs lead to them, it's a simple: damn our data storage guys were compromised.

Literally submitted my picks moments before kickoff haha. All in a rush but who knows, rando favs get me lucky.

Edit- I had an hour to spare haha. FJ had the time in GMT.

Switched back to regular go getters today, cept for Trossard, so that means Antonio and Jesus on my list even though they haven't had the chance to be prolific lately (injury the former, form the latter).

Juggy, Haaland doesn't need 90 mins but I went for boring Mitrovic cause Fulham will keep a clean sheet today. Ha ha ha.
3186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: November 05, 2022, 01:00:42 PM
Yeah City. Rested all their players so should smash it. Other than the City game, every other fixture looks suspiciously like draw traps. Hate picking draws though and am backing away teams for now, Leicester anyway I hope prove not goal shy.

Fulham are 22/1 so of course my money is there but even a draw will make my day.

My pool position is hopeless. Not like I am actually doing crazy predictions so hope I climb out of bottom quarter...
3187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: November 05, 2022, 11:55:25 AM
Preston is in better form right now but they have one of the worst attacks in league with only 14 goals scored, and in same time they have one of the best defense in league.
Reading is missing some players and I like more the odds on away team with asian handicap, but I expect to see few goals, so my main bet is under 2.5 goals.
My Bets: Under 2.5 goals; Preston (0) AH.

As you know, I've been following PNE in this thread until recently and noticed their crazy attack/defence stats for about the first 10 games. However, their form dramatically changed after this point and they're not, in the past 5 games, one of the highest scoring teams (and no longer keeping goals out).

They're not on my tickets though because of awful odds (for me anyway).

GL today! Am actually pretty full elsewhere so am out of Championship today -/

Just checking in today, pleased that my outright (NZ) has already qualified. Hope we get to meet India actually and then trounce them. Dream final is Kiwis to meet the Aussies again for a grudge match. Feel like they perform extra against their antipodean neighbours.

But Sri Lanka had a cruel start and England now I would say should wrap this up quickly, barring a meltdown almost at the halfway point on target to chase.

But check out Clubtalk chat in Sportsbet today and tomorrow as there will be plenty of cricket fans watching and commenting on the outcomes and possible permutations of the semifinals!
3189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stages on: November 05, 2022, 10:04:03 AM
@el kaka22

Definitely enjoying the quality of Europa a lot, I've always liked this tournament, and it was the first time I saw Liverpool lift a European trophy too (against Alaves in the old format) and back then I honestly was watching my first European games and til today I think the quality has been very, very good. At one point even UCL was getting boring but thankfully teams have evolved to ultra attack now.

But at least they decide to show up late.

this makes all the difference, just looking at Valencia in La Liga, losing points in last 15 minutes five times in a row, either from winning to draw or draw to lose, they should be trained to have strength for 95 minutes Smiley

but Lazio did not show up, and they are out to Conference, hopefully not to make Partizan life harder in next round
looking at teams that were out, there are some decent teams in the list, hard to pick potential rival

In England they call Valencia they team that loves to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory Wink But yeah, while I've found it far easier to give up on teams that've let me down (Valencia, Sevilla, Villareal more recently, Koln last season, in Europa), I have a problem with Lazio specifically because I was slightly favouring them in Serie A a couple of seasons ago, so in my mind they're still a good team. Really need to banish such thoughts now.

Def might keep riding with Partizan, they've made me some good money this season, even if they lost me my last one.
3190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: November 05, 2022, 08:57:53 AM
Didn't know about Pique, can't really be bothered with what players do after they hang up their boots, really. It's weird for me to really follow the drama around them, not that I can hide from it anymore these days with everything pushed in front of my face thanks to work (bleh!).

Girona 2 - 1 Bilbao

La Liga? More like La 50/50 coinflip Liga... Wtf is Girona doing beating a top 6 team? What's next? Relegation fodder like Almeria and Cadiz winning comfortably tomorrow?  Angry

Was just saying it's impossible to separate teams like these. Coin flip and pure lottery. I went for Bilbao win because I'm dumb, I thought, hey they beat Villareal.

All 3 goals in 11 minutes too...
3191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: November 05, 2022, 08:19:15 AM
This seems to be my most successful round for Serie A - I'm in a clean second place. It's amazing - I'm used to all the Italian teams surprising me with their results. Although I'm in the second half of the overall standings, I'm not that bad - I have half as many exact results as the first 4 places (which I consider pure lottery). Hopefully over time the lottery will be in my favor.

I believe I've poured enough love/hate on you in Champions League pool, no need to throw you further evil eyes in this one. I'm doing so-so in Italian and Spanish, but still a slide down from what I was doing in terms of performance from last season.

Monza is my bogey team this season, I think they're crap, they win, then the bookies start favouring them because of form, and they prove they're crap. On both terms I fail to detect the trend.

Exacts are definitely pure lottery... then again, so are picks when it's featuring midtable teams with almost nothing to separate them. 1-1 draws are the most tempting and should be the most picked in those games but I always lean to a narrow win.

I ask: Have you already bought bitcoin?
Answer: No. I'll wait until he recovers.

Never heard that version, though of course I don't usually ask that specific question (I never initiate, but when it does get to my turn, I do ask something along the lines of "what's your take?".

The most common answers?
- Too expensive, I'm trying ABCshitcoin instead it's still XYZ cents.
- Nah, it already went up to ATHa, no way it's recovering.

Only way he won't win this competition is if he misses one or two rounds, his electricity goes off, or his computer gets attacked by malware.
Sorry KTC to from now on you are starting with Asian Handicaps in next pools  Grin

Or he gets married or something. Can we please arrange for that?

@swogerino: 87 points to play for indeed. As a Liverpool supporter over the past years of Klopp reign, I'm certain we've made City fans points counters till the very last day. Hope is cruel sometimes in football, don't you agree?

I needed both to score in this one for my multi so a bit extra salty maybe Smiley
interesting group dough, all teams end up with 8 points, goal difference was there to make all the difference, and Lazio lost 5:1 from Midtjylland

Nantes pulled win over Olympiakos, and proceed to next round, congrats after three loses in a row

Actually feel even Lazio supporters are saying the same thing, better not to go on and make fools of yourself if you don't even want to be in the next round.

TBF actually hearing some Spurs fans saying the same shit, except they somehow found a way to progress in the end. They played every game going missing in first half... almost like Real did last season.

But at least they decide to show up late.

@Joca97 @casperBGD @Pulsar77

I went on a 15-leg acca for this, and was actually only let down by 2 teams. Partizan (I went ML instead of goals, when I should have) and Slavia Prague.

Of course I wasn't expecting to win the ticket so will only half blame the team so many of us fell for.

I am ready to start even if the required number of participants is not collected, the main thing is that the prizes remain  Grin
A bet with odds >1.5 means any bet (multibet) where at least one outcome includes an event from the World Cup?
I should note that many bets will be won, that is, in fact, this is a very generous competition, I don’t understand why not all slots are filled yet.

The full rules in case you want to read:

Quote
The ticket must include one game from the World Cup from that round with minimum odds of 1.5. Cashout is not permitted - we can check it with Sportsbet."

It's probably going to be MLs and betbuilders for me (those count right Trofo?).

And yes, I don't get why people aren't filling up these spots more quickly. We're all gamblers, and the forum suggests hundreds of people all gambling on football. Biggest football tournament on the planet. I'm going to be betting out of my ears anyway. Why not try for a nice Christmas bonus, right?

I'm going to be pinging others in other pools but only after talking about it in Clubtalk. Maybe it just needs time for news to travel.
3197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io ⚾ Major League Baseball (MLB) ⚾ [Discussion thread] on: November 04, 2022, 11:20:43 AM
Hahaha. Anyway recovering on a 3-0 deficit is very rare on the current team of MLB due to there so close stats.

The series is already tied as expected on my previous comment. This is interesting because Astro show a dominance performance on the 5th inning of the game. I didn't expect that Aaron Nola will loose his ball control in 5th inning that leaves Alvarado as substitute in a lot of pressure with a full bases. This is the most sucks situation for a sub pitcher to enter because batter is on fire due to adrenaline and very hard to s.o.

My bet still goes for Philie 4-3 even with this pitcher error.

Yeah, I have got a lot to learn about baseball, and may never truly understand anything until I watch a game properly. Bucket list for sure.

I got my win but it was a literal coin toss for me. Putting it all down again on Astros -- that kind of dominance suggests to me they might just push through and win the next one anyway. Shame the odds have swung back in their favour!

3198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: November 04, 2022, 07:10:30 AM
Another day, another Arsenal win. Definitely stopped going for BTTS on Arsenal as they seem to know how to keep clean sheets now, and HT win wasn't enough odds as they were firm favourites at home, so took a rare Under 4 goals and that hit last night (thankfully as it wasn't for lack of trying!).

I'll store my Roulette freechip and play when I have 2 at least as usual.

Unfortunately, betting elsewhere hasn't gone well so my USDT is more or less back to where it was when I started November...
3199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stages on: November 03, 2022, 03:38:54 PM
We've been seeing plenty of goals in this league (strange for me, but maybe I don't know the stats enough or team capabilities) so I'm going to go for a really, really long acca, and hope almost every tie has something in it.

Too long to post but 15 legs all on every game in this week's Conference, ML plus goal counts (would have gone for cards but not all have markets), with just a couple of dollars on the line.

I will post only if it wins haha.
3200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: November 03, 2022, 02:35:25 PM
Oh hey, I get to win yellow cap as I predicted, how nice, shared with leea! Sweet exact score really helped out (thanks Liverpool, Spurs, Ajax actually for getting final minute goals to give it to me). Cool to end in 7th, but way too early to say anything as it's all so tight now (except KTChampion's silly lead, well done bastard;) ).

Too bad for your wish PSG lost the top spot to Benfica, so they're out of the options for now, and so is Milan, with Chelsea also getting the top spot of their group, that leaves you with Benfica, Porto, Bayern and Real Madrid.

I'm sure the name Real Madrid does leaves a sour taste at the mouth Liverpool fans, and I don't think getting a chance to eliminate them at the round of 16 would the best kind of revenge they'd be hoping to get... I think it's going to be a showdown between Liverpool and Benfica for the next round though.

Damn, yeah. I saw that myself, quite a lot of position-changing in final game, final minutes. Those aren't great options at all for entertainment. Porto I'm sick with. Benfica, sure, but it feels like Porto. Bayern would be my top choice to meet (though would have preferred QF onwards) and Real, well, as you said, it's not the best revenge opportunity, we really need to redress the W points in our recent H2Hs but would probably lean towards picking them rather than Porto/Benfica.
