3181  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Who owns Bitcoin? on: December 25, 2018, 10:12:30 AM
Bitcoin is invented by Satoshi Nakamoto but it is common knowledge that his identity is not known. If there arise any dispute related to bitcoin or its ownership, how would it be settled by court of law or in other words who is the legal owner of bitcoin?

bitcoin is owned, by the share

by its

1. miners

2. holders

3. marketing and social supporters. (even if for irrational reasons)
3182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOINRumor: Bitmain to fire 50% staff amidst the bitcoin bear market on: December 25, 2018, 10:03:26 AM
Hey. this is just the way business work. They are forced to fire people in hard times and when things recover, then they start hiring people again. Bitcoin rewarded these workers in the good times with a salary and they cannot expect to work there if the company is suffering losses.

Bitcoin will recover soon and then they will be in a better position to hire these people again. Bitmain are not the only company feeling the financial pressure now, there are loads of these ICOs that are folding now.  Angry

well i dont think it will recover,

so:

what will happen if "bitcoin" will not recover as all these bitcoinmaximalists hope?
3183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Most Accurate 2018 Bitcoin Price Prediction is 4K on January 1, 2019 on: December 25, 2018, 09:29:47 AM
It is another reign of predictions. What has happened to Mr. John McAfee? Did his prediction come true?
Yesterday when OP was creating this topic the price of BTC was nearly $4k I see today it's down to $3,744. I don't believe in these technical analysis, youTube stars. They all are here to sell their own contents. I am happy with both the bull and bear market because I love Bitcoin and blockchain technology. Today or tomorrow their will be no fiat.

just research global social support thats enough,

If trump wins his war with the federal reserve,

we will see:

1.Trust and Confidence in usdollar outside of us crashing
2. usa becomming a communist country.
3. rest of world starts to immitate trumps attack on central banks
4. conflicts between governments population and central banks globally,
5. trust loss of banking cartels.
6. rise of communism globally.

How exactly does this topic relate with Communism in your opinion?

americans will become communists, what else? why should world continue to accept their neverending foreign trade deficit?

the chinese are getting tired of that the russians are getting tired of that.
etc
3185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Perspective about HODL. on: December 25, 2018, 08:49:47 AM
What is HODL?
The very first time the term HODL appeared on the Bitcoin talk forum was in 2013 and came from a member named GameKyuubi under the thread “I AM HODLING”.
From the look of the post, he was drunk and wanted to convey the fact that he was holding his BTC despite the serious fall that had just happened.

Since then, this misspelled term became very popular in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency world. Whenever a person says in a conversation that he/she is hodling or suggests to hodl, it means that they believe their coin will be profitable one day, if not today.

So basically, “HODL” was originally a typo which has now popularly earned the status of a humorous backronym:
HODL” – “Hold on for dear life”

Kwatwani, S. (2018, February 2). What is "HODL" in the Cryptocurrency World? + Must Know Cryptocurrency Terms [Web log post].
Retrieved from https://coinsutra.com/hodl-popular-cryptocurrency-terms/

So let's cut now the history of the term. Well I want to share to you my perspective about the HODL strategy, We were all a newbie once in everything like the cryptocurrency, trading, mining, investing, etc. Most of us chooses the path of being a trader either a full time/part time, day trading/long term holding.

Most of us experienced the markets bears and bulls and as a newbie we're seeking for a right answer and most of the answer we've got from different peoples, articles and videos online is the term "HODL" and they said that it is the best way to do whenever there's a bear market, is it the right thing to do?

At first I believe in that saying because I don't have any knowledge about cryptos but after being having an experience in this forum, trading and investing to ICO's I just realized that it's not always the best way or the best strategy in cryptocurrency industry, in my case whenever there's a bear market I am analyzing the market and there's a time that we need to cut our loses and study different cryptos in the market wherein we can take advantage and earn more rather than waiting for a long time until the market recovers.

Well, the only disadvantages I've seen so far is that if your analyzation  is wrong and you've invested to a wrong coin.

Just like what I've said not all the time HODL is the best, we should consider other strategies as well. This is all according to my own perspective and opinion, I would be glad if you will give yours  Smiley

Hodl is a long term investment strategy that is only effective for the coins that have potential in the market. Most of the holders loses their 98% of their investment because of holding a wrong crypto.

like bitcoin these days.
3186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many times you heard the bitcoin gonna die? on: December 25, 2018, 08:23:14 AM
I've often seen and heard crypto currencies will be lost but for now it is still accessible and for us to invest in the investment

ah now its cryptocurrencies...

well currently all those first mover dynasties (BCH, BTG ZCASH) are under fire together with the index mafia that executed the attentionhack.

mark my words bitcoin will continue to lose trust and loose usability.

no one wants to use bitcoin they all want to aquire and sell it now.

cryptomarket is indeed still in its bloody (literally bloody) beginning
3187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the obstacle of Bitcoin? on: December 25, 2018, 08:09:21 AM
the price of bitcoin has been changing dramatically, and many people have invested in bitcoin. And they get a generous return. these stories attract more people to join Bitcoin. in my opinion, this is precisely an obstacle. It is an obstacle for Bitcoin to be used on a large scale. It requires a stable value for a currency that is used on a large scale.

you dont want to know that, its in front of your eyes and you dont see its.

its just pumped up pow trash, world needs completely update of its financial system not marketed "crypto gems"

why no microsoftcoin or starbuckscoin?
3189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOINRumor: Bitmain to fire 50% staff amidst the bitcoin bear market on: December 25, 2018, 08:00:23 AM
It's bound to happen given that the blow on the cryptomarket is insanely harsh.

I believe that it would have been the better decision for Bitmain not to have made the attack on Bitcoin through the hard fork, and the creation of Bitcoin Cash. It costed them dearly.

Plus the "harsh" market would have impacted them less if they held everything they had in Bitcoin.

pah pointless speculations, they did what they perceived profitable you cant blame them just because you are a bitcoin maximalist.

their pump of bitcoin cash from 77 usd to 200 usd from 16-21 in december in order to save it  was however a fatal mistake

altcoins are getting pumped and dumped every day bcash is not an exception either. it didn't go in that price range that you said but it did have a pump like many other altcoins and pumps are never a mistake when they are performed by the pumpers.
they are a mistake when newbies try to buy the pumped coins after they are pumped and lose money bag holding it while they are getting dumped.

bcash was pumped and i heard rumors, bitmain did that, https://coincheckup.com/coins/bitcoin-cash/

3192  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Thoughts on Banking system and Federal Reserve on: December 25, 2018, 06:32:29 AM
The federal reserve is supposed to serve the public but the reality is that it's a semi-autonomous bank and most of the regional chapters are all headed by bankers and none of the leaders are elected.

I think this is a key point in my opinion, the Federal Reserve needs to act in the best interests of helping the economy rather than private interests.

well it does that, and constantly american money is flowing abroad, the neverending foreign trade deficit is visible in accounting, usd becomes weak,

putin himself once said, that the americans are bloodsuckers in the world economy due to their foreign trade deficit.
3193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain on brink of bankruptcy on: December 25, 2018, 06:15:09 AM
now I experience very much bankruptcy, my bitcoin coins are now not selling well, there are a lot of losses that I bear, but I am still patient

do you want me to lie to you so you feel better or tell you honestly what i think and expect?
3194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Bitcoin's business plan and responsible people behind it ? on: December 25, 2018, 05:26:40 AM
Does bitcoin have a business plan ? and who is responsible to make it work because for any project there should be a clear plan to accomplish its mission and vision at the end and there are responsible people to make sure things work according to the plan on each stage  until bitcoin reaches its final goal ?

nope it only has a rough tech concept written in nakamotos white paper. it was later specified by the various developers during bitcoins realisation.

everything around it evolved
3195  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Common ground on: December 25, 2018, 05:22:15 AM
In the spirit of Christmas, can we on bitcointalk.org try to find some political consensus? Can Flying Hellfish and TECSHARE agree on anything?

Some points which might find general agreement:
 - The freedom of individuals is important.
 - The prevailing banking/fiat system is on the whole bad.
 - In most places, the people would be far better off if major changes were made to their respective governments.
 - As long as scarcity exists, the existence of some form of trade is good.
 - Technology is good.
 - Humanity should dominate the universe.

Any others? Do you disagree with even those broad statements?

agreements dont work because reality is complex, magnitudes, are supposed to be agreed upon on every and that changes over time.
3196  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's prepare for the worst on: December 25, 2018, 04:25:01 AM
The worst thing that happen to the crypto currency is the market price falldown of 2018 abd I think tbat it is not yet back ,so that is why all the cryptoholders must prepare for the more worst to happen, but we also hope that this bearish market will not continue until next year so that all cryptocurrency holders can move now for their investments.

i am quite confident the current collapse will continue the problem is structural.

3198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US or China: Who do you think will legalize bitcoin first? on: December 25, 2018, 03:22:28 AM
Just curious which one would be more accepting of bitcoin or any cryptocurrency for that matter. China nowadays seem to headline a lot about artificial intelligence and other technology. They are also promoting a cashless society. So I am betting on China.
Feel free to contradict. This is just me overthinking. Maybe, neither would even legalize it in the future. Or perhaps countries would create their own crypto?

introduction doesn't need to be accompanied by "legalisation" it can also simply be introduced, and the "state officials" are adapting themselves to the new reality.
3199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gods/Divinity is no way anyhow humanist on: December 25, 2018, 03:01:13 AM
When God made people, He made them so well, that He thought it right to place a portion of Himself in them - their soul/spirit.

When people were deceived by their guardian angel who turned to evil, Satan, they allowed themselves to be corrupted.

You can't corrupt God. That is why God is here... to pull as many of His children out of corruption as possible. That's why God has allowed the universe to exist all these years since sin came into the world... to keep His Great Name from being tarnished by the evil that Satan spawned.

Cool

Are we humans created with a tendency for corruption?

jes

we are created with limited reason, limited abilities. no human being is almighty with unlimited reason, so its pointless to strive for it.
3200  Economy / Speculation / Re: Most Accurate 2018 Bitcoin Price Prediction is 4K on January 1, 2019 on: December 25, 2018, 02:51:14 AM
even I predict in mid-January, bitcoin can reach $ 5000.
This is very possible, and it definitely looks like its gonna happen, but it also could not happen and the price could plummet to little above 3000
The more reason why it's all down to luck when speculating, though some are more skilled than the others in studying the market situation, but they are more often than not wrong, and if they do get it correctly,i wouldn't be wrong to classify them as being lucky

you guys are soo damn wrong with your bear/bull trash,

there are completely difference forces happening.

it was pointless to say it because the interest to have everyone believe the bear/bull trash was simply dominating this forum. and as long it will continue to do that, you all will continue to get your "surprise"
