Hired 100 people? is that for real?
Shh, you have interrupted my counting! Now I have to start over!! 1..2...3... (No nappoleon, they are not counted manually - a script does all the work)

Looks like Onions have reasonably solid support at 5800sats or so on Novaexchange ( https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_ONION/ ) - can someone confirm that is the approximate price per Onion via rented hash-power?

last time i pply for the sigs job , but unfortunately the DeepOnion wallet i downloaded "didnt" worked out.seems like the wallet dont want to automatically syncs itself, any idea why that happened? a little help will be helpful. thanks
Hello there Pipshunter. Have you tried adding nodes to a .conf file? There is a very easy guide you can follow on the official DeepOnion forums here: https://deeponion.org/community/threads/deeponion-tor-wallet-creating-conf-file.63/(While you are visiting DeepOnion.org you may as well join up )

Why he has to answer each of your question? who are you?? does he has to answer any of the trivial questions by anyone who may or may not understand the code? He answered enough to your curiosity, and instead of being thankful, you started to attack the coin.
If you know what you are doing, it's probably ok, from what you posted, you don't. I'll give you a hint, all altcoins are from a few branches, initially most from litecoin, then PoS coins are all based PPCoin/NovaCoin. Then there are a few important improvements such as complete separation of the diff retarget between PoW/PoS (earlier pow/pos coins and many now are coupled, and cause big issues), true randomness, tor integration, messaging, then there are masternodes etc. So find the branch that has the features you look for.
Looks like you pretty new in this domain, so learn and don't pretend.
1. He doesn't, but he did! 2. I'm just another person on the Internet honestly. No one special. 3. How am I "attacking" the coin, when I am encouraging holding, and even say the developer can be trusted? 4. No shit they are all mostly based off of a few coin codebases. Just look at this: mapofcoins.com/bitcoin. Like you said, it's about the improvements...But there are no improvements here. Your assumptions are terribly wrong. Thanks for sharing the information currypto. I'm satisfied you are motivated by genuine curiosity and a desire to add value to the crypto environment in general. Like the DO blockchain itself, everything including the codebase is there for examination if you know where to look - I would have done so myself given the ability. Further, all projects including DeepOnion warrant scrutiny and fair reporting - this is early days for this project and I remain interested in participating and watching its ongoing development.

Either way, please show me where you've provided any "undeniable facts about the fake advertising", because all I've seen so far was a lot of hot air and empty accusations.
Claim 1: Free airdrop. 1Rebuttal: The way that DeepOnion "drops" coins is a classic signature campaign. It has nothing to do with an actual Airdrop. Claim 2: TOR integration gives "complete anonymity" and is valuable feature. Rebuttal: TOR is not even close to completely anonymous 2 and this was done/attempted by several coins long ago. Claim 3: 100% anonymous. 1Rebuttal: TOR itself is not completely anonymous which destroys this claim anyways, and there is no known "100% anonymous" coin.
[1] - Both claims are made in their (misleading) signature advertisement. [2] - Some past attacks: Weak Debian keys (2008), OpenSSL Heartbleed. Attack on Relay nodes (2014). Also read the following: Users Get Routed:Traffic Correlation on Tor by Realistic AdversariesThere is more, but this isn't a paid lesson in security. I'm sure that even the developer has no idea about most of it (and I do not mean the trivial and widely known stuff like Heartbleed). Remember that developer != cryptographer != security expert. Do indulge me by telling me that TOR is 100% anonymous. Pedantically speaking, no communication can be made 100% anonymous, but Tor (when used correctly) can greatly increase your anonymity. The OpenSSL bugs you mentioned are irrelevant in my opinion, when bugs are found they are hopefully patched out asap. The attack vectors to worry about typically involve traffic analysis to de-anonymise. In theory, the best way to use Tor for an anon-touting crypto is entirely within Tor as a hidden service. The main problem that I can see, is that the blockchain is a matter of public record, and any transaction is roughly timestamped by it. An entity that wants to de-anonymise transactions presumably has a list of ips using Tor at any given time, and can compare that to the blockchain. At the very least the ips of some of those using the crypto could be narrowed down (if not outright determined, possibly even matched to specific transactions), given enough time. The best way I can see to deal with this? Become a middle relay yourself, such that you are always on the Tor network, sending and receiving other peoples data, thereby cloaking your activity. There is potential to obfuscate when you do a transaction via time-delayed transactions (the point being that your ip is not on the network when the transaction goes through), but I can't see how to do that without the blockchain knowing of the delay (making the delay pointless for obfuscation purposes), without trusting a third party to relay a signed message at some future time (which is obviously not a solution). As to how DeepOnion uses Tor, I don't know. Almost certainly it doesn't make wallets act as middle relays (so if you plan to use DeepOnion anonymously, I recommend you take the initiative and become a middle relay yourself), hopefully it does work 100% within tor (with things like dedicated onion servers for initial and fallback peer discovery, as I say I don't know). Interesting observations here, danke!

I don't seem to understand the animosity for this coin. The dev is giving away free money for renting out your signature space and typing useless posts like this. Strange are the ways of the world.
Especially when people create new accounts just to FUD Yes, it is an odd phenomenon these new FUD accounts. Some, I imagine, are created by folk who are either unable to join the Airdrop or have been ejected from the Airdrop. I am happy for the coin, and the project, to receive criticism - but it would be admittedly all that more pleasant if the criticism was constructive or well reasoned if not both. For example, it would be great if a 'no-onion-hodler' discovered a bug that could be corrected, or pointed out a critical shortfall in the distribution process, or demonstrated a use case for the project that has gone unnoticed, or... (Of course it would be similarly useful for an onion-hodler to point out the same). The FUD so far is of no particular use nor of interest to me as it seems only directed towards undermining the project and its coin. The facts are that DeepOnion is a useful blockchain - assuming it works and continues to work as advertised - under active development that has attracted early and significant support. Those facts remain all I need to notice.

This looks to be a promising project which I intend to participate in. Good luck Team!

Definitely wait for instructions - you do not want to break the 90% rule unless crypto-rainbow specifically tells you to.

I met this project yesterday, manager! But am I surprised by the negative trust you received, are you trying to solve this problem? How valuable can each DeepOnion be? Congratulations on your project. Welcome to the DO Project TheCrimson... uh ...Athlete! Currently Onions are trading on Novaexchange between 0.17-0.28 USD.

Airdrop started!
Hey there crypto-rainbow - I notice the countdown timer on page 1 of this thread is still showing (me) that we have ~approx 2.5 hours before the airdrop starts... Is my computer working correctly???

That may be true, but that was also due to heavy shilling on 4chan's biz forum. Which is a questionable place. We don't shill there, but are through the roof anyway!
Hrrrm, I may have seen someone mentioning DO on 4chan. Somewhat often-ish. Mebbe...

My Wallet does not show the time the coin grows anymore. Can anyone help me fix this?
Hey there phucdigan - there was a wallet update and the "Expected time to get reward" value was removed. It was not a particularly reliable value - only a general guide as to when the wallet may stake onions.

I just noticed exchange showing the nodes Is not that cool?
It be cool! The DeepOnion baby is slowly coming of age - it develops quickly and becomes an adult after 40 weeks!

Because there maybe issues somehow coin split or moved unintentionally (!) we will accept as true our block explorer results. I haven't tried splitting my coins as yet as I am a little concerned about doing it incorrectly and accidentally disqualifying myself. Have many people split their coins I wonder?

Эйрдропы упали на кошелек. Все гуд. Спасибо разработчикам. Единственное,уехал в отпуск,надеюсь меня не выкинут с раздачи)))
I don't think you can be disqualified for going on a vacation rolezar. As far as I understand you can miss a total of three weeks participation before becoming disqualified.

Nice find GCforce - and the text is not without relevance to the DO Project.

Awesome that we are listed on Novaexchange. Also I like the News that other Exchanges are coming soon.
It's certainly an interesting development - and a good reason to join Novaexchange don't you think?

Woohooo! Just staked my first onion this morning Has anybody else noticed the weight of the network? Extremely low this morning. My wallets weight also seems to have reset. Was there anything done on the chain? I received an entire Onion in a single stake for the first time (1.2 in fact)! The weight of the network changes often as wallets open and close to staking. Your individual wallet weight will also change often. As your staked onions mature and produce more onions they drop out of staking until they are picked up again in future stakes.

I have completed the enrollment following the deeponion airdrop project because this project is very nice and very helpful to all of us. Hopefully this project run smoothly and success always. thanks so much to developer this project.
Hello there nawa - welcome to the DO Project. Please ignore the FUDDers.
