321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: August 21, 2017, 03:27:34 PM

The reason I said you should be banned is because people enter this thread and in the last few
Pages all they can see is you complaining about cryptocirrency , Bitmain and life...

As mentioned, an ignore option does exist and you are encouraged to use it, or PM me your complaints, instead of junking up the thread with this petty BS.

You may think my statements about Bitmain are not relevant, but considering this is a Bitmain product, whether or not they actually ship what you order is of considerable interest to people.  Since I'm not getting any response at all from the Bitmain support area, and my order has sat in limbo for six weeks, being vocal in areas like this is the one of very few options left to me.

And just because I view BTC and crypto in general as a giant scam doesn't mean I won't get a piece of action.  Damn near everything in our world today is a scam.  Some of them are more profitable then others, it's all a matter of timing.

You can call me whatever you want, I do not care.  What you call me is of no significance compared to what you demonstrate yourself to be.

Do you need help finding the ignore option?

What price is predicted to pump it to?

To the moon!

Lol, I'm holding onto some of this long term.  GEO could be huge, just needs a little polish and a few loose ends tied up.

Also, the clown with conspiracy theories about BTC and Bitmain was getting a
Little too annoying, Maybe he should be banned and let the rest of us
Communicate here. Thanks again

... he says on his second post ever.  Aside from today's activity, it doesn't look like you've ever communicated here at all.  Signed up today actually.

Lol, sock accounts are fun, right?
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Last chance to get some GEO before today's pump bump on: August 21, 2017, 01:34:15 PM
There is no pump.

Nothing yet...  Announcement scheduled for 8/21 though, it's 9:30am here 8/21 for me, so it's still a bit early to say.

blah blah blah

Phew, someone needs a hug.

Like I said before, if you can't help yourself from posting abusive OT nonsense, just send it in a PM.

Hi Guys
I spend some time reading all information on this topic - I would like to ask a serious question and your honest opinions about my situation with DASH.
I bought D3 from re-seller from FIRST batch for 10.000$.

Do you guys think there is a chance to get ROI by the end of they year ?

Should I try to renegotiate the deal with re-seller?
- If yes what arguments should I use when trying to beat the price a bit
- I know he paid 2.5K$ to bitmain and will have to pay import taxes etc.

I got the feeling that 10K$ wont be possible to get from it from end of Sept to end of DEC and I just wondering what should be the reasonable price which I can try to negotiate with him.

Many Thanks for any help...

The math I've done on it would seem to indicate you'll be hard pressed to get 10k by end of year.  However, getting in on first batch will help a lot, your profits will be much higher than later batches, obviously.  It looks like when the D3's all ship, Dash diff is going up by 20x-30x... so daily return is going way down.  Especially when that much larger last batch ships.  You might get $100+ a day for a while when you first get the device.

[EDIT: I misread the OP, no coffee yet here.  4 devices total?  Yeah you'll make 10k by end of year, imo.  Most of it in the first month.]

I think if I were you, my plan would be to hold all the dash you mine for as long as possible, because as the diff goes up, the value of existing coins should too.  That will retroactively raise your income rates (but not if you've already converted it to BTC/fiat/etc).

No one cares. Stop posting your childish drama in these threads. It has NOTHING to do with the thread topic. All your posts should have been deleted already.

Cheesy  You're an idiot.

"Stop posting childish drama" he says... as he posts childish drama.

To the people that have PM'd me about this, I will do my best to help.  If I see any positive change to my order status I'll outline the specific steps I took to make that happen.

Devs: When is today's announcement?

Any clues what to expect?  Thanks.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Last chance to get some GEO before today's pump bump on: August 21, 2017, 03:58:41 AM
Big sell walls just smacked down, price is up 8% over the last hour, lotta buys.  Feeding frenzy as soon as news hits.  I don't think anyone actually cares what the news says.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Last chance to get some GEO before today's pump bump on: August 21, 2017, 03:34:18 AM
Next roadmap ann in the next few hours, allegedly.  I think it will pump the price a lot, maybe 100% or more of current.

I bought a lot when the price in in 45k. And now I'm holding this for the longterm. This coin is precious.

Yeah I got in at 65k, I have my sells structured to pay off my buyin at rates that leave me with about 40% left I plan to long term hold.

This could be huge, very business friendly concept.  Ties in well with other financial entities too, activism / political.

UBQ could see a nice little bump too.  I guess GEO is a UBQ token now?  So what's good for GEO is probably good for UBQ (but not as much so).
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Last chance to get some GEO before today's pump bump on: August 21, 2017, 03:12:49 AM
Woww  really, what's up to it

No idea, probably something about Facebook, Augmented Reality, finishing up some things that are broke now and holding back the coin, etc.  There's no blockchain explorer, or withdraws from the site, which are both big liabilities so if they even just announce 'we fixed those major issues', that's good news.

Last news release a couple days ago bumped price up 400% in an hour or so.  That was part 1 of 3, this is 2 of 3.  Last is a couple days later.

I just tried emailing a few random firstname.lastname@bitmain.com addresses of known employees to see if any of them get to someone who can help me get my order fiasco sorted out.  If any of that goes well, I'll be removing my angry anti-Bitmain rants so don't be surprised if a bunch of my messages disappear, that would mean things went well.

OMG I found someone that replies to emails at Bitmain.

This is a promising step.  Fingers crossed.  Thanks craft_mine!
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Whats hot whats not? on: August 21, 2017, 01:59:41 AM
IMO, its always good to add to and hold your BTC and ETH balances.  I sell rarely.  Aside from that, NEO is a good hold.  NEO is looking like it will be the next big thing.  OMG is another that looks liker a hodler.  SC is a long term hodl.

I worry about all the Wu-coin's (BCC/NEO), that guy is a liability.  His money is good for the pump, but watch out for the dump.   I'm pretty sure he just sat on Bittrex buying BCC for any price most of the day two days ago and that created a big bump.  The buys didn't seem rational to me, like someone was just clearing out the first two pages of sell offers so it will create the appearance of increase in value, even though given time to stabiliize, the value would never sustain the levels it did during this massive shoveling of money.  He's the only one with a stake that could profit from a maneuver like that, since he makes his money on the use of the coin, not it's actual value.  If he can make mining BCC look profitable, that's a win to him even at massive expense. So torching a bunch of BTC to inflate that value pays off for him in the long run even if it cost him a lot to do.  Neo is probably next, but the second he turns off the water-hose of money, it will deflate substantially.
336  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: August 20, 2017, 11:33:20 PM
Any asian miners here who was a member of this pool? Im about to try this one, it was even my first time joining a pool,  so how is it goin there?

Not Asian here but I give Slushpool two thumbs up.  Prompt payment, they always pay (unlike 'Kanopool' which has largely failed to pay its smaller miners for three years now), and you can establish a minimum payout level, unlike Antpool which is designed to (long term) inflate transaction costs by flooding the market with tons of little payment slices.  Transaction costs that Antpool, for the most part, do not share with miners (except PPS+ payout method, which does in exchange for higher fees).

CKPool looks really promising too but it needs more hash power to really blow up (SPLNS).  ConnectBTC is pretty nice, basically just another Antpool with a different name and interface (PPS)

I think it will get close to 0.006 in next 24 hours.  0.00344 now.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GEO Coin is on an uptrend. Buy? on: August 20, 2017, 09:51:19 PM

I think the price of developer tomorrow's roadmap will increase by at least 50%. What do you guys think about this?

I think it will at least double for a while in the next 24 hours. (EDIT: Close, not quite doubled)

Might go up way more than that.  The 8/16 -> 8/17 pump  was about 400% at peak.

I think .0012 will be new floor unit next ann on 8/23, and about twice that after.  (EDIT: OOPS!  Not even close.  Actually, 8/21 ann barely affected the floor at all)
340  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: August 20, 2017, 05:25:57 PM
Oh and on the "finders fee" -  I am at about 30th/s with the 4 741's.... I thought we all have the same "chance", even if we are a lot smaller, statistically the odds would be the same for us to find one as the big guys-- so it would still be fair, albeit it wouldn't be near as exciting for them us for us little miners.  So if they want to encourage smaller mines, even if it was $100 it would still be something to make it interesting.  Right now the way it is, I would never even know if my little mine found anything.  They could at least send a thank you note lol.

Could you please help me out about what are we speaking here? Is it about Canaan you just speaking? 30TH/s seems to be good rate with that little piece of hardware and how is it possible really? Enlighten me as I'm completely new to the mining world. For now I'm just reading through all the posts here. Guy above you also speaking about Canaan which he bought at 30$ each. Please explain how is this profitable with that much low cost. Im completely new so my question might be just very stupid.

$30 per SHIPPING.  That's just the cost of delivery.  The actual price of the unit was probably about $720-$800 depending on when they bought it.

30TH/s is the rate attained with four of the units, collectively.
