Well generally the advice is sell high and buy low, right now you'd suggest bitcoin is high given it was at 5500 only a week or so ago, however many, myself included feel bitcoin will rise further beyond this 8k figure in a reasonably near time frame.

As others have said, it seems to be only a matter of time, bitcoin is continuing its upward trend and right now it seems that nothing can stop it. 15k is still a while away as first 10k must be reached but I would be surprised if we don't see 15k some time in 2018.

I would expect that the price will increase at a greater rate once the supply is finally completed fixed, purely from a simply economic perspective once supply cannot increase further then any demand increases will always lead to increased price.

Trading is nothing more than educated guessing whilst still being exactly that. The level of education in that guess however is the difference between being a successful trader and being an unsuccessful trader. There is no way to guarantee profit without insider information and even that may not be enough, however with real education and experience the best traders will be very very confident of success.

It will always be hard for people to recommend projects off their own backs and you really be able to trust them, that's why I would just play it safe given that you've had some losses before, stick to the major altcoins and you should be good, perhaps you won't make 100%+ returns but modest and fairly safe returns. I mean coins like eth, ltc, xrp, neo, omg etc.

Well I do not think that any of them will pump like BCC because that was a very unique circumstance, I have believed for a while that ethereum is due a bullish run and I stand by that.

I would not use a bot to trade for the simple fact of not being able to create my own one and not trusting one that someone else has created, I feel like a human will always perform better than a bot (a skillful human) and for that reason I would not try it.

I think that 6k or just over is a good entry point right now, provided that you are willing to hold for a little while, many, myself included expect to see 10k before 2018 or in the early parts.

I would not trade, I believe that BTC reached its bottom at around 5.5k and BCH its top at 2.5k, the prices are now balancing out somewhere in the middle. After they are stable I think that over time BTC will climb and BCH will slide.

It does always amaze me with all financial markets that they only suffer when people panic, if people did not panic then markets would not suffer in the ways that they do. Altcoins are not and will not die, even if they go through long weeks of red suffering. If the projects offer value to people then they will always be around and they will succeed.

Bittrex is still no 1 for many but new exchanges keep popping up and maybe one day they'll be replaced, in terms of a DEX I use etherdelta but it's not the best, IDEX just launched a DEX and it's much better but volume is still low, hopefully soon 0x or kyber can fill the DEX space.

Simple case of buy low and sell high again, the difficulty is that OP bought high so he has put himself in a difficult situation. For me in these times I try to forget what price I bought at and simply decide if it is a good time to be buying or selling, if it's good to buy I hold, if not I sell.

Those of us who stuck with our principles of buy low and sell high are now being rewarded for foreseeing this transition from a bitcoin pump to an altcoin pump, the next difficulty now comes in finding the right time to transition back out of altcoins and in to bitcoin.

All are great coins with huge potential, personally i have a slight preference for ARK but this is mostly born out of the fact I have held it the longest and profited the most from doing so.

I suspect that there won't be a major 'pump' as such, if bitcoin though is in a stable period now I expect alts to rise gradually until there is the next major bitcoin pump, whatever reason that might be. I would envisage alts have at least a good couple of weeks ahead of them.

So far I have about doubled my money from 0.2 btc to 0.4 btc, this took me about 2 months time, now I have a lot of money invested however in several ICOs so trading will have to wait a little while.

I've tried out a few over the last months and honestly I think they're all scams, and logic would suggest that they would be, the safest way is just to hold your coins, eventually I expect some sort of crypto bank that pays interest for holding your coins but it will be at a few % no more.

The real fear I have always had with and still have with onion is what will happen when all the airdrops are finished? At that point it is hard to see anything other than a huge dump and I worry if it can continue on from that point.

For many bitcoin and altcoin are substitutes and thus as the price of one is increasing they substitute their holdings of the one in to the other. So when bitcoin price is trending upwards people are keen to get a hold of it and so they dump their altcoins to free up funds.

I am going to hedge my bets, I will sell a portion of bitcoin pre fork and invest in alts, then I will sell another portion post fork to invest in alts (if the signs are looking good) and finally I will leave the rest in bitcoin throughout.
