321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bankera..3 years after ICO...a money grab ICO??? on: June 06, 2020, 01:33:56 PM
Not only Bankera but a lot of ICO projects last 2017-2018 is in silence in these previous years until now, there is no update or announcement coming from them. If you join a lot of ICO and bounties in those years you can tell how many of them are doing the same. Maybe they are only one group of scammers trying to make different projects just to scam people. It was unfortunate that many of us are victims but we will have it as a lesson and never do the same mistake again. Never trust suspicious projects.
322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Decentralized currencies but Centralized trading on: June 04, 2020, 08:38:17 PM
Well, because we do not trust the dex exchanges? I mean they are really not looking all that well whereas the centralized trading looks very trustworthy. All those billions of dollars worth of bitcoin lost because of small exchanges being "hacked" made everyone go enough! and they said they will move their money to places they trust as well. Hence we have very little amount of exchanges that we trade with, who cares about some small exchange when I know that my money will be safe with these websites?

There is really not even a single reason to move to another exchange if you can find your pairs here and trade here. The only reason you should go to another website is if they have the coin you want to trade and the big ones do not have that coin since it probably sucks.

Personally, I trust DEX more than the CEX (Centralized Exchange). It is just that CEX has more opportunities to earn because of good volume and liquidity and a lot of features to choose from like on Binance, they have binance futures, options, and many more features, and DEX does not have it. I was trading on DEX before it feels like stagnant my orders do not fill that fast compared to CEX, and most DEX has limited coins to trade. That's is the main problem of DEX.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think testnet coins should be trade able already in exchange on: June 02, 2020, 10:55:01 PM
If a testnet coin has some value there is something wrong with the project, How could the CEO allow it? It will surely damage the project's reputation. Unless they are a scam from the start and want to get more money as possible. That "idena" you have mentioned if it is really a testnet coin, it is very suspicious be careful in dealing with that project. I am just curious where did you find the details about idena is trading their testnet coins?
I have read a blog about them they already have their mainnet but it is still on experimental stage which is confusing, mainnet but experimental? they should have done that on testnet before.

324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shady wallets for Android smartphones on: June 02, 2020, 10:28:05 PM
The safest thing to do is only use trusted and reputable wallets and you are safe just ignore those new wallets that is popping out. But be careful some scammers are copying popular wallets and will steal your private keys and other sensitive data. So if you download make sure to verify the source, google playstore is not really trusted they allow fake and malicious apps to be uploaded on their platforms.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino searches at "all time high" during lockdown on: June 02, 2020, 10:08:45 PM
I also wonder how people will buy bitcoin in this situation? imagine that an X person is very fond of offline casinos and I decided to use online casinos that support bitcoin. So that person searches for places to buy bitcoin and comes across KYC. how will that person do KYC with this lockdown? this Is another problem that people have when they want to buy bitcoin and another problem is related to fees, when someone wants to buy bitcoin they have to pay very high fees, will it encourage people to look for bitcoin-related online casinos or these people will you prefer online casinos that accept paying with debit cards even if they are bitcoin related casinos? I think people will prefer online casinos that accept debit cards and that means that even if people use bitcoin-related online casinos they will be paying by debit card
There are options like Bitcoin ATM but only available in several areas, Some KYC is automated like binance, coinbase is using automated KYC. Also, Coinbase has banks option to selected countries too. https://paxful.com/ offers a lot of methods to buy bitcoin. You are right buying bitcoin from fiat especially using debit/credits cards has a huge difference in price with the market price so it will end up paying a high price. Personally, I am not comfortable entering my debit card details on a gambling site I prefer cryptocurrency.
326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading mistakes i do on: June 02, 2020, 09:40:55 PM
Panic selling is the common mistake of traders, when emotion is involved it is hard to think wisely. Especially if there is a strong FUD. I was advised by a trader before he said don't get your emotion ruins your trade. Also, another common mistake is not setting up a stop loss, it is better to lose small amount than losing it all. So we need to set measures in case our analysis does not go to our expectations.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who else here got some KickToken? on: June 02, 2020, 09:25:22 PM
I almost got jebaited by this Frozen airdrop, The scenario was it was airdrop on my exchange ETH wallet a top exchange, but it is not listed there so I emailed the support if I can get those tokens. They said it is possible but I need to pay some processing fees. Good thing I learned that it is locked or else I will lose some BTC. It's price is very tempting before when I view my wallet on Etherscan, this token is suspicious, A pump and dump project.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers in a top exchanges telegram groups on: June 02, 2020, 08:59:25 PM
I am angry with people like that scamming our fellow crypto enthusiasts. Newbies should be careful and wise. Just recently I posted some questions on well-known binance owned Multicoin wallet - Trustwallet it's hilarious those scammers are faster than the admin's reply. Everyone that DM on telegram without stating their business with you block it. Also, Admin never DM first. If he DM first verify it on the group, send a message to the admin with admin tag and you will see which one is real or fake.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why I believe bitcoin will crush in the distant future on: June 02, 2020, 08:36:21 PM
Worst case scenario If that will happen I am imagining it in a different way. Let's say lots of bitcoin are lost what do you think will happen? The circulating supply will decrease. Technically, if that happens the bitcoin price will increase if there is limited bitcoin supply that applies to everything a product in the market if there are few supplies the seller will sell at a high price. But if I will have a kid in the future I will educate them about blockchain and hardware wallets and I am working with that with my little brother now.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin dilemma. on: June 02, 2020, 08:15:57 PM
The coins you were investing are pretty decent, I have a bet that it will recover and surpassed their All-time high price. I will only mention NEO ATH is about $200, I guess it is 90% dump from its ATH and it is too late to sell it now because the price is only $12 you will suffer even more. Most altcoins are dependent on Bitcoin so if bitcoin will jump it will bring some altcoins. Your best option is to HODL but the final decision is yours.
331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on DEX's - What's your experience? on: June 02, 2020, 07:55:42 PM
My very first trading experience happens on DEX that was 3 years ago, it happened on etherdelta an Ethereum base DEX. The interface is confusing sometimes you will place orders wrongly, so you need to familiarize the platform. If you place an order and someone already initiated a transaction with it either buy or sell there is no way to cancel it unlike on centralized exchange if you place a BUY order with a huge price difference with current price it will not be placed. Also, if network is clogged trading is also clogged. I have a better experience with Binance DEX their blockchain is much faster and lesser fees with a unique way of logging in.
332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to buy Bitcoin with creditcard fast? on: June 02, 2020, 06:52:48 PM
When you are looking for buying cryptocurrencies with a creditcard, you should know that most of exchanges will charge greater fees than buying Bitcoins with a bank transfer. As I know, you can buy crypto with a credit card on Coinbase and newly also on Binance.  Wink
Yeah, I tested on Binance before, the exchange rate has a pretty big difference with the market price. Even they waive fees amid this covid crisis the rate is still a problem. If OP has another option I suggest trying those than losing a decent amount. Well, others find it convenient but it is not looking good for me. I made some screenshot to show how much binance takes on their credit cards feature.

In this time if we buy worth $1000 of bitcoin we only get 0.101520 BTC which is equal to $966.17. We already lose about $33.83

333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Impact of mainnet in a project. on: June 02, 2020, 06:21:13 PM
Mainnet came from the word "Main Network" this is the simplest explanation. I guess you understand it already now. The impact of a project having a Mainnet launch is usually good. Some projects spike in price when announcing mainnet launch. It shows that they are really serious about their goal and not just tokens on other networks. On ethereum you can easily create a token but having your own coin is much better. Anyways, if a project is on other platform it is called token but if they have their mainnet already they are called coin.
334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you handle losses in trading? on: June 02, 2020, 05:57:18 PM
I will talk about my experienced about leverage trading, specifically binance futures. I know it is riskier than usual spot trading but I tried it anyway and lose several times I also make good positions but my losses are bigger. I tell myself I am not ready with that kind of trading I just stick on spot trading right now and move on from that. I am also doing practice trading on demo accounts on leverage trading to make myself more familiar with those kinds of trading. If I lose I will not be stressed It will not help you mentally and physically better find ways to recover.
335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is bitcoin not anonymous? on: June 02, 2020, 05:36:39 PM
For me, bitcoin is really anonymous when you look on block explorer there is no way you can identify each address only the site admin or exchanges and wallets administrators have the ability to track those addresses. Unless they will release it to the public which unlikely to happen or the website got hacked. If you have run KYC on a single site that is a given possibility and risk that your data might be exposed so be careful in doing KYC. Alternatively, we can acquire bitcoin through ATM's and other platforms with no KYC. But to have bitcoin adaption I guess KYC is really needed given that government regulation is very strict.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Timing to Hodl tokens is very important. on: June 02, 2020, 04:59:00 PM
Well, the question is not everyone can predict and determine the right timing. I guess the secret in Holding a coin/token is to set aside your emotions, no matter what happens up and down. Don't let your emotions win, crypto holding needs a bunch of patience. Of course, make sure you are holding the right coin If this thread is not posted on altcoins discussion I will surely suggest holding bitcoin only, the safest asset that will surely recover no matter what happens. I still consider top 10 coins on CMC as low risk.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hits $10k, Coinbase goes down (again) on: June 02, 2020, 04:15:52 PM
Actually, I am confused if it's really server issues or it is intentional and they don't want their users to convert to fiat and stablecoins. Well, it is just a speculation just check-in it is fine now. But Bitcoin crashes a bit about $500 at this moment. I Just check on coinmarketcap coinbase PRO is next to binance having most web traffics on their exchange I guess it is the same with coinbase wallet too. There is no perfect platform but as one of the great platforms, they should be ready on issues. Seeing from their post they just fixed the issue in minutes or just an hour.
338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm still a newbie that got burned by BTC, Tron and Verge on: June 02, 2020, 03:02:31 PM
You are new but I guess you already have knowledge about crypto through the years and you have learned from your experiences. There so many things happening on crypto, exit scam, FOMO, pump and dump, etc. Investing in TRON and Verge is not that bad compared to my coins before they don't even exist now, totally gone, and no chance of recovery. Even with the bad rumors about Tron you still have hope that it will recover and Tron is doing good on gambling DAPPS, When the market is green I guess these ALTS will be lifted too.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop wasting your electricity on: June 02, 2020, 02:21:24 PM
That is unfortunate for you buddy, I don't even know those coins name exist. Yeah, before I believe in new projects too but now I am more careful in trusting them I am not mining them though, I was investing and trading a sh*tcoin thinking that I will be rich too, I guess that is everyone is thinking. I suggest mining only reputable coins like Monero, DASH, and other top coins. Also, there are staking now no need to buy hardware or waste electricity but there are only small returns compared to mining.
340  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: dummy on Trading on: June 01, 2020, 06:41:05 PM
There is no such thing to prevent losing on trading, you will lose but to minimize it you need to set stop loss. It is better than losing a lot right. Especially on Binance futures if you are not setting up stop loss and you leave your position overnight open you are in danger and high risk of being liquidated considering leverage trading has more risk than spot trading and the market is very volatile.
