323  Economy / Service Discussion / BTCC and Chinese exchanges haven't reference value now on: December 18, 2013, 06:48:50 AM
Sorry to tell you this , but now you can't deposit cash on any exchanges in China .
Deposit BTC  / Withdraw BTC & Cash  are fine .

You may verify this on
1.okcoin.com 's mainpage.
2.https://www.chbtc.com/news/show-289-proclamation
3.BTCC's weibo http://e.weibo.com/bitcoinchina

PBOC has banned deposit cash to exchanges from banks & third party payment in China at this moment.
So my personal suggestion is : Don't reference the price on exchange's in China such as BTCC and OKCOIN , it's no value

No, there is no need to enter city details .  All you need to provide is 1.bank name  2. account number 3. Your name . ( It's OKCOIN's rules, i'm not using BTCC now so not sure about BTCC )

Just tried that - it says you need to enter the city (which you can't). What browser are you using btw?

There's no such city selection part in any browser

Yes , there're some problems on withdrawals thru Bank of china (BOC www.boc.cn ) using IE . But other banks are ok .

Wrong - this is what their support is saying - but it appears that you cannot withdraw to *any* bank using either IE or FF now (still checking into this).

The problem is that you cannot select the city or the bank in the withdrawal form.

Deposit and withdraw is all fine on BTCC and OKCOIN thru banks .

With btcchina the Bank Of China withdrawals are *not* working (support is currently claiming some crap about a browser bug).

www.cryptocoinsnews.com/2013/12/16/china-prohibits-banks-bitcoin-exchange/ It's quoted from the deleted weibo source.

Caifutong is not supporting BTCC and okcoin at this moment , Caifutong said it's only self biz adjustment (No Available news source yet this is what FUDers are using ). Deposit and withdraw are all fine on BTCC and OKCOIN thru banks .

I'd like to make 3 comments based on some of the comments posted following my statement.

1. My ongoing role in settling this issue
I've seen repeated comments saying "if Pouncer agrees....", or something to that effect. I'd like to state that going forward, there is nothing that needs my agreement or approval to settle this issue. The buyer sent BTC to an address that was not an escrow address controlled by me. As an escrow agent, my task was to hold the BTC on behalf of the trading parties until the buyer was satisfied that the MSC has been delivered by the seller. Since the BTC bypassed me, there is nothing I could do now because that escrow trade has obviously been aborted due to the incident.

Regarding disclosure of private information of that trade, I am not at liberty to do so. However, nothing is stopping the trading parties to disclose such information should they wish to do so. Again, my consent is not required.

2. My liability on this trade
I'd like to thank Doron404 for his understanding in absolving me of any liabilities. I'd also like to thank other users who share the same opinion.

3. My future role as an escrow agent
I have the benefit of access to the entire trading history & trade information since we started the escrow form system. I have received additional information through PMs from other users regarding this issue. I have also spent considerable time digging into and analyzing relevant information in the public domain surrounding this issue.

Based on the above, I have reasons to believe that this may not be a random scam. As a precaution, and in the interest of traders using my escrow services, and of myself, I have decided that it is in the interest of all parties that I do not continue as an MSC escrow agent.

I appreciate the trust place on me by traders who have used my services. Thank you very much. I believe there are others who are willing and capable to temporarily fill this role before the DEx is launched. I'm also a small investor in MSC and am looking forward to its imminent launch.

Cheers!

Sorry to hear that  Sad
You've done a good job .

337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's actually happening in China on: December 07, 2013, 04:38:59 AM
So baidu stopping accepting BTC isn't a big deal?Huh
as i know there are only 3 big companies(shengda ,sub company of baidu,sub-company of telecom) accept BTC in china which means no one will follow their steps , so why it's a big deal ?

You guys totally misunderstand what happened before , baidu dont say they accept BTC it's baidu jiasule (sub company) . Grin
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Currency Tanks After Chinese Internet Company Suspends Usage Read mor on: December 07, 2013, 03:30:48 AM

It will be in teenage rebellion stage forever if this continues. The only way for Bitcoin to become big and stable, is if business and consumers adopt it, but Baidu just dropped it stating volatility as the reason.

Volatility is not the reason , it's CBC's announcement . People are irrational in nature you cant stop speculation it's the part of eco market.

Restaurants still accept BTC in Beijing ,so why bother

Restaurants might not have caught on yet, and it doesn't matter really anyway, Baidu stopped accepting Bitcoin and others might follow. I knew that the entry of so much new money wasn't good. I don't want Bitcoin to fall, I really don't, but if some of those people who were buying Bitcoin just to speculate, are now losing money, then I'm glad.

Why they follow ? Any reasons ? Bitcoin is a better way to avoid taxation and it's anonymous . Merchants don't give a sh1t to who don't accept BTC , they only care about their biz !
