61  Other / Meta / Re: China block VPN service on: January 29, 2015, 02:37:01 AM
Personally, I could only access bitcointalk via VPN. If that's killed too, any other options?

I'd try Tor via a bridge.
tor bridges already banned by gov for several years , only meek method works now .

65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government confiscation on: January 13, 2015, 01:29:23 AM
I keep about 80% of my bitcoins in my Coinbase (US company) online vault, and about 20% online in my BTC-E (foreign company) account.  I always have a teeny tiny worry in the back of mind that I'll wake up one day and the headlines will read "US Government bans Bitcoin, freezes all Bitcoin assets" and I will be unable to access my Coinbase coins.  Am I paranoid?

 Grin hey dude,
keep your bitcoins in your own wallet ,for eg . multibit or electrum . Coinbase is a bank , you can't risk 80% btc assets on it . And so does the platform.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any demand for a Bitcoin auditing service? on: January 08, 2015, 02:42:59 AM
Regularly audit check is really needed , exchanges / offchian services should also provide their 100% reserve 24/7 .
But , the platforms especially Chinese exchanges refuse to prove they are doing a clear biz . And you can't enforce them to do this .
That's the real painful problem .
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Communist Bitshares Wealth Redistribution IS THEFT! on: January 07, 2015, 04:32:08 AM
Bernard Madoff carefully maintained his scam biz about 20 years. Central Bank scam is even running more than hundred years and it's still working .
So ...
Sorry ! Let us face the truth , BTSX did change its total supply  whatever the reason . They break the rules .
You can say bitshares is like stock share which controlled by a company , yea , it's ok !
But be remember , it's not a currency , it's not decentralized , it's totally central controlled . You guys playing this at your own risk .
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time-series analyses on: January 07, 2015, 04:16:59 AM
Your pic really scares me at first shot . But really wish this happen by the end of 2015  Grin

haha ... bts is just for innocent newbies , it's totally controlled by a company as your guys called bitshares' community .
What's the core spirit of bitcoin ? Just use your brain to think about it ! Yes !  No third party control ! No bullshit  redistribution ! No central authorities !
That why bitcoin & decentralized crypos (doges litcoins) exist .
Scam coins don't live long , so save your time and money on these

Not sure if sarcastic or simply purchased a "hero" account?

For bitshares believers , happily accept the result of increasing total supply from 2 billion to 2.5 billion btsx or painfully admit your mistake & get out off the bitshares scam ?

If i  were u , i would choose the later  Roll Eyes

71  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Implementing a system for revoking compromised Bitcoin addresses on: January 07, 2015, 02:53:54 AM
I just thinking to create a 2-2 multisig deposit address ( users and platform ) with nlocktime to let users & platform can revoke their transactions within a certain amount of time . Users keep their privkey locally . If the platform privkey is compromised , then they still have time to revoke the transactions .
Is that feasible ?
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are cryptocurrencies the future? on: January 07, 2015, 02:38:55 AM
Paper cash is going to extinct in 5~10 years , all fiat currencies will eventually be virtual .
Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin are not backed by Gov & central banks , they are backed by math & computers which are more reliable than the former .
The bitcoin price has fall a lot recently , but the rules still the same , people'll finally figure out which is their favorite .

75  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / bitcoind spam on: December 29, 2014, 11:03:57 AM
hey guys,

If someone maliciously sends tons of  json-rpc command thru a website interface . (eg , bitcoind->getinfo() or bitcoind->getnewaddress() ..etc)
Does the backend bitcoind exit automatically ?
how many json-rpc commands one bitcoind(core) server could handle ? I wanna know the capacity .

Thanks  : )
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Alibaba going to develop their own cryptocurrency? on: December 22, 2014, 04:58:09 AM
they don't need to , chinese yuan is already a virual currency in alipay .
& chinese central bank PBOC does not allow them to develop their own.
77  Economy / Speculation / 2015 is the year of BITCOIN ! on: December 16, 2014, 05:09:47 AM
 Grin Grin

The pathetic 2014 is gone ,  let's face the new year 2015 !

WHY 2015 is the year of BITCOIN  ? I have some predictions

1. Partial ledger bitcoin-core will make whole bitcoin network burst ,  we'll have more than 100k bitcoin nodes by the end of 2015 . Network scale determines the value of bitcoin .

2. The whole bitcoin eco system will be strengthened by project like openbazzar , sidechains , XCP etc . The stronger eco system makes more people realize the value of bitcoin

3. Countries like Russia will have a very tough year , people have to find a new currency to replace the devalued fiat . Bitcoin is absolutely a good choice

4. More big companies will accept bitcoin as a payment method .  WHEN the accumulation of bitcoin accepted commpanies' quantitative reaches a  certain limit , the real changes will be surely coming!

5. Bitcoin price has fall a lot in 2014 . The Bear is tired . BULL's show time is up .

So ...

2015 is the year of BITCOIN !
