321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is doubling your investment more probable than we think? on: October 27, 2023, 11:31:29 PM
First of all, no one knows what will actually happen in the market because we are all predictors in the trading industry. And the number of people who will believe depends on whether the prediction of each trader is really valid or not, whether there is a solid basis or not.

Everything we expect comes from the predictions of other experts who we know have more experience and have a broader or deeper understanding of trading here in the crypto business. It all comes down to speculation in the end.
322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 27, 2023, 11:21:18 PM
There are a lot of Crypto Signal Providers - about 5 of them are at the top of the list.
They claim 80% accuracy.
I googled reviews and I read nothing but good things about them.
If they were bad signals people would give bad reviews.

If they do have 80% accuracy, then anyone who uses them would become wealthy in a short time.
Do you use any crypto signals?

It is true that there are many crypto signals available today on different social media platforms, particularly on Facebook. You can find these signals in ads that appear in your feed wall, traders who identify themselves as such, and trolls who advertise services for which you should pay and talk about their promotions on Telegram channels.

These kinds of crypto signals make me a little uneasy and leery because scammers sometimes hang out in those communities. Additionally, the victims are in the dark. In the end, we'll realize that it's not too late because the investors' money that trusted their words has fled.
323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Reward for a Trading Mentor on: October 27, 2023, 11:10:27 PM
I don't see any wrong with mentors, as long as they are teaching you right and if it's free then it's good if not then you must agree with the fees you are paying and that's enough, it depends on what you discussed or agreed.
Just make sure you are talking with a legit trading mentor. And make sure try to apply your lessons with your mentor in real trading environment.

Having a mentor is actually an advantage for us. Of course, at least someone will guide what we do in the actual trade, rather than no one guiding us, because, let's say, you can study without mentors. That's why it takes time for you to learn something.

Apparently, a student will not have that diploma if there is no teacher who taught them, and you will not know that you are improving if you cannot see whether your grade is high or low. This is just an illustration. But since we are talking about trading, you might as well be careful. If they help you for free, that's good; take advantage and take chances, but if you are charged, that's not good in my opinion.
324  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PCSO Idinemanda Ang Isang Blockchain Company on: October 27, 2023, 11:00:08 PM

325  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 27, 2023, 10:50:34 PM
There are other traders who sometimes think that investment and trading are the same because they have only one theme and that requires the same investing method. But in reality, they are not the same, and the other long-timers in the crypto space know this too, right?

As an investor, you invest because you know that there will be profit in something that you see potential for in the future and because you also know that people will actually use it now and in the future. And one of the good examples here is Bitcoin. Which is different from being a trader in trading, especially if you are short-term, because it is like a profession that will require skills and understanding to make a profit.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should have taken this risk earlier. on: October 26, 2023, 10:16:10 PM
Till now my parents are bearing the cost of my education, I have recently completed my college education and my parents wish me to complete my graduation by studying in a private university. We have a small cow farm and we have some cows in this farm out of which some months ago my father sold one cow and deposited about one and a half thousand dollars (I said the value in dollars for everyone's understanding) in the bank for my education. It will take about four to five months to get admission in the university. I didn't plan to do anything with the money I saved for my education but recently the price of bitcoin has increased by about 10 thousand dollars and seeing this increase I think that I should invest in bitcoin now instead of leaving the money in the bank for these four to five months. Although I think it's a bit late for me to invest. Maybe I should have invested when Bitcoin was 26 thousand dollars then maybe I could have made a good profit at this point but there is no point in regretting what I didn't do Of course I will think about the present now. I think the price of bitcoin can cross 40 thousand dollars so investing in bitcoin now will not be a wrong decision for me at all.

There is nothing to regret about investing in bitcoin, whatever the current value of bitcoin, what you buy is a good move, believe me bitcoin will reach a new ATH. It's true that no one knows when it will happen but it will happen. Of course, to get bigger profits, you have to keep it for a long time, you can't make a profit in just a few months.

So you don't need to get carried away with FOMO, what you have to do now is buy as much bitcoin as possible and store it in a cold storage wallet. Better late, than never. And it's never too late to start investing in Bitcoin. Buy, save and learn Bitcoin now.

Whatever Op is planning is timely, as far as I can see, because the Bitcoin halving and bull run are coming. So, if I were in his situation, I would continue what he had in mind. Because this is a good opportunity to experience earning in Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is more than an opportunity, it can not only provide us with a source of income in the future but can also provide us with savings every day of our lives.

They will only happen when we learn the things related to Bitcoin; even if we only know the basics first, they can be our guide in getting started here.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: October 25, 2023, 11:58:14 PM

Casino basically is for fun and entertainment purposes with an added advantage of winning a price. That is why you are asked to gamble responsibly. Casino always have the advantage of making profit because the odds most times falls in their favour so more profit for the casino when gamblers make much loss.

When you say casino is literally for fun and entertainment does it mean that winning is not in your agenda?
Inasmuch as gambling is concerned, though sometimes we do gamble for fun like whether it plays or it doesn't play we just take it like that but let's tell ourselves the truth, irrespective of the type of gambling we choose to play, our motives and intentions is to win, nobody plays to loose so saying casino is for fun and entertainment isn't really a good narrative, you can say it's a game of chance (luck) just like every other gambling because if luck isn't on your side no matter how good you're in predictions you may still fall to wrong odds so basically, all gambling is a game of luck.

If you really read and understand my statement then you would get it clear my point. All you have said here still points towards the same view. Luck to win is also part of the expectations while playing but it would be in your own interest to do gamble with fun because the chances of winning is under probability but if you have the mindset of winning and at the entire end keep losing, it would have a side effect on your gambling when you already have the thought of winning and it would turn to addiction while in he course of you chasing your losses.

Luck or no luck gamble responsibly and do that for fun.

If so, do you count yourself as a gambler among the ones you mentioned? in the first paragraph or the second? Because we know that the gambler is really different, who just treats gambling like it's just an amusement park compared to treating it as a source of income?

And most gamblers can't get it out of their minds that this can be a source of income, where they always think that their small capital to bet on can be tripled or more when they gamble on a casino; they just depend on luck even though they know it won't happen 100%, but they still have the will to do it because they can't think of any other way, but this is really the only way; it's their last resource.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do your parents know about your gambling habit ? on: October 25, 2023, 01:36:00 PM
Most of the grown up people do not live with parents. At such, the parents are not aware about the interests and habits of individuals. Do you parents know that you gamble ? What was their first reaction towards your gambling habit ?

My parents didn't know that I gambled, but when I was young, I learned to gamble with the influence of a friend. At that time, I wasn't really aware of gambling; all I knew was that if I won, I would get money. This was when I was young. And when my parents find out about this, I receive a punishment from them.

But now that I am old and have my own family, my parents still don't know that I gamble online. But I think that even if he finds out, he will just tell me for sure that I know what I am doing between right and wrong.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 25, 2023, 01:24:41 PM
I don't know about this article what to think as we have some real streamers and some other guys trying to copy what they do,it is difficult to distinguish yet if you see streamers playing at popular casinos it means they are sponsored by them and as such I consider them true streamers while people playing on not at all well known platforms I consider them not true as my distinction between true and false streamers, this for me have worked well as when I want to see a true streamer I immediately see at which casino he is playing,if he is playing in really big well known casinos I watch him,if not I don't.

That is the case; no streamer will promote or include a casino in their content unless they are compensated for it. That is where they generate money from advertisements and casino marketing since they know they can make a lot of money even if they do not gamble on the gambling site they will promote online.

Now, if there are phony streamers, we have no idea what their true goal is or why they engage in such deception. If claims like these are true,
330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 25, 2023, 01:14:28 PM
I spoke to a tutor who teaches trading, and he said for his lectures, he teaches for an extended period of nine months for anyone who wants to learn trading from him. Please I like to read the personal experience of some traders here, how long did it take you to learn to trade profitably, and what was the hardest thing to learn? did it take you weeks, months or years? Do you think that trading can be learnt well in a short time like three weeks for a quick trader? Can someone who is a proffesional trader just go straight to the point pointing out what is needed to make a successful trader to a newbie to learn quickly?

Actually, the tutor doesn't make you a professional trader in 9 months, he just teaches you what he knows about trading. Becoming a professional trader or not is a different thing because there are so many people out there who take trading training, but their ability to generate profits varies from one to another. A professional trader uses many methods to base all the decisions he takes in trading, and the most important thing is his instinct to read the market, yes.. a professional trader has good instincts.

You make a reasonable argument in stating that even a nine-month trading school does not guarantee someone will become a skilled trader. Trading does, in fact, need a combination of abilities, techniques, and the ability to read the market. Acquiring proficiency frequently takes ongoing study, practice, and, as you indicated, building a trader's intuition, which might take time. It is not usually a rapid procedure that can be mastered in a matter of weeks. While a professional trader may provide advice, shortcuts to trading success are rare, and the route frequently requires a lot of trial and error.

It's true, and I agree with what you say: the length of the month or time is not a measure for us to learn here in trading. Because there are other people, no matter what you teach them, if they don't have a source or will to know it, they won't really understand or absorb it.
My experience was about 2 years before I really understood trading here in cryptocurrency.

Because what I'm doing is studying and reading, but I'm not taking what I'm studying to heart, the result is that the effort and time I put in are ignored. I only understood it when I took the initiative to find out about it myself, and you are right, even if it is basic, you will understand it immediately.
331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The most risky adventure you must avoid on: October 25, 2023, 01:03:12 PM
Snipped

From your topic and what you given, through the discussion, you're saying that it's good to take risk and also avoid taking much of it when we seek in for knowledge, yet your title is talking more on risky adventure to avoid, but we all know that if there must be a successful business enterprise, then we must take risk, in trading, either you like it or not you still must take risk, not because we don't know about it, but because in other to make us approved for the success achievement we aimed at in what we do while trading.

Maybe what Op wants to convey is that with every risk we face, we can really learn something. And besides, no one has become successful who has not been a risk-taker. It means that every person who becomes successful has to face risk, and when we say risk, that is not an easy decision.

It's really like that for a dreamer, isn't it? Everything will be tolerated and passed, even if it is difficult, as long as the important thing is that we can face it and overcome it, because for me, the risk becomes our way so that we can succeed in what we want to achieve in the future.
332  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My experience as a beginner trader on: October 25, 2023, 12:48:57 PM
There are many things to consider when we enter the world of real trading. We must be prepared and aware of every wrong strategy that we can use in actual trading here in the crypto space. And with every mistake, we have a lesson to learn. There can't be nothing, because with every mistake, our knowledge is sharpened on how to approach us correctly so that we can get a profit in trading.

And with every experience we have, even if it's good or positive, we still learn something from it. Actually, it seems that everything becomes balanced in every action and decision we make, whether it's right or not.
333  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PCSO Idinemanda Ang Isang Blockchain Company on: October 25, 2023, 06:10:38 AM
The PCSO has done a good job because they caught those who were operating the business illegally. And the only sad thing is that people have used the blockchain again in an evil and not-good way.

The Bitcoin or cryptocurrency that we believe in has been damaged or defiled again. People who are wild and greedy for money are really reprimanded. I hope that those who should be held accountable for that matter will be held accountable and that they will never be released from jail.
334  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Traditional business or investing in bitcoin? which one is good? on: October 25, 2023, 05:59:07 AM
Let's discuss about our future here, since we talk about bitcoin all the time, I like to break that a bit and with some realistic questions for our future. We are all are thinking of our future, so I like to get your opinion between the two on what will you choose to secure your future.

If you believe in both, kindly elaborate on why you choose both and the potential impact on your future.

We have a saying, do not put everything in one basket. And hanggang ngayon I believed on that, we must always find a ways to have multiple sources money wise. So it's either you invest on bitcoin, stocks, real state or putting up a business.

At least you have several options under you, if one fails then you have others to cover for you. Like in bitcoin, for sure marami sa tin had experienced on 2017 bull run. And we thought that it's going to continue. Pero later on, we realized that bitcoin invested has it's ups and down, may bear and bull market. So kung umasa lang tayo sa kanya nung 2018-2019 so malamang hirap tayo. So we need to diversify as much as we can at maraming source of income.

335  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: I learned about airgapped wallets on: October 25, 2023, 05:49:18 AM
What you said is right; it's just that most of the communities in this forum are already aware of what you described, and the novices are already aware of what you said. All that is required for proper implementation is the proper implementation.

In addition, even though I don't have a hardware wallet other than the electrum wallet I use, I haven't had any issues as long as I know the private key and seed of my personal wallet address account. My account is absolutely secure. Furthermore, it is vital to always update when the electrum notifies.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will it affect your life if bitcoin price comes to $1 million per bitcoin? on: October 25, 2023, 05:38:24 AM
How will it affect your life if bitcoin price comes to $1 million per bitcoin ?

When that happens, I will be able to buy a house and a lot and a car and a car, and include the small business that I want to do. Then when that happens, many other top altcoins in the market will also invest, so that means many community investors will get rich here in the crypto space.

It's just that right now we don't really know when that will happen, I hope it happens while we're still alive on earth. It's really a big deal to us. So long-term holdings are really good in this kind of business.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Instagram Banned Bitcoin on: October 25, 2023, 05:28:38 AM
This is shocking news for the Bitcoin banned by Instagram. From its platform, the conversation about Bitcoin and Bitcoin was hidden by Instagram. Until now, Instagram has not given an official statement about this, but there are several users who have started to be affected. Why do you think it is? Is it because Libra and Diem that the project failed or was it ordered by SC or the revenge of the Winklevos brothers who are rich from Bitcoin. Instagram is clearly a platform that does not support freedom of speech and only displays content according to the algorithm they want. What do you think guys ?

As far as I know, Bitcoin is banned because of scammers who use it to scam investors. And then the banning of cryptocurrencies on Instagram started when ICOs' projects were trending. So we can't blame the Instagram platform either.

They just removed the clutter that Instagram thinks is polluting their social media platform. The only thing that is not really good is that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that have been in this industry for a long time are being misused.
338  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mga Artista Na Scam Ng Crypto Investment on: October 24, 2023, 02:00:47 PM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hbLUZgBUBM

May pambayad naman siguro to kasi sobrang daming niya toy collection.

Pero if below 250k yung annual income, syempre exempted tayo. Pag lampas dyan, syempre as law abiding citizens we have to comply dahil law yan eh.

As long wala ka pa nag declare ng monthly/quarterly/annual income mo, you do not need to worry much until ikaw mismo ang mag decide na mag file ng income tax report.

340  Economy / Economics / Re: What does being rich mean in your perspective? on: October 24, 2023, 01:39:49 PM
It's one of question which differs from person to person. How do you define richness?

In general, wealth means a lot. There are rich people in terms of money, but not rich in true friends. As for others, even if they are not rich in the state of their lives, they are rich in true friends and family.

But if we talk about it literally, being rich is when you have stable businesses that produce money in them; in short, there are many standing businesses and companies. Besides that, everything you want you can get with the money you have. From cars, jewelry, gadgets, and other material things.
