321  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: July 01, 2014, 10:50:26 AM
So if you got a petahash of hosting, and you are selling it at $1 per Ghash you are looking at 1mil.

It's rough to trust you while being burned so far, but there is no reason that your previous customers should not be able to trade their current order for hosted mining by turning every dollar spent into a GH of hashing power.

I spent $5,635 ( I took of my express shipping there) so I would rather the money I spent with you be transferred to hosting option and receive 5.6TH/s  I would consider that reasonable  and fair  to my self as a consumer and to you as a company and would be in line with what would be needed for mpp.

And considering if it was at that rate, it would be good. I personally am more interested in getting the hardware miners, with a similar hashrate. But either way if they do what they need to to honor it then it will work out.

The reason I mistakenly selected AMT was because all I thought they were doing was assembling miners.  All the technology was sourced elsewhere.  How difficult can this be?

Now they are claiming that they want to do something much more difficult.  Hosted mining, when they can't even do simple assembly?

AMT as a company is pretty much done.  There's really no reputation to salvage.

322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: July 01, 2014, 02:08:36 AM
No argument there. BM.ch seems to have recovered from those mistakes much better.

Recovered because they make a serious effort.   AMT has not made a smidgen of an effort.

Just look at their RMA process that's going to some parking lot behind a Mason temple.  It's ridiculous.
323  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: July 01, 2014, 01:30:48 AM
Just tossing this out there for general information:
http://www.edn.com/electronics-blogs/the-workbench/4421218/PCB-layout-tips-for-thermal-vias

http://circuitcalculator.com/wordpress/2006/03/12/pcb-via-calculator/

http://m.eet.com/media/1200036/XLamp_PCB_Thermal.pdf

Those are examples of standard industry practice reference items for thermal via design. Even if not explicitly specified in 'build-to-print' any CM should:
a. Knowing the thermal needs for the A1 assumed maximum thermal transfer is needed meaning; heavy-plated thermal vias at a minimum preferably filled as well, and a full complement of thermal contact bumps on the bottom of the board that are high enough to go past the gap created by green screen layer to make firm mechanical contact with the main heat sink. btw, that layer creates a 3mil air gap. If there are a few bumps but not a full complement - that gap just got increased to 8-10mil. Thermal compound is not going to make up for that...

b. Flagged the above concerns and asked their customer to verify what is needed to meet industry-standard practice for working with high-power packages. If the customer is unsure then follow Best Practice and overkill the issue.

Then there is the matter of basic Ohms law... If the value of 1 component in a divider network is changed while leaving all others the same - the result (output) from that network is vastly different. To keep the network balanced all components need to be scaled by the same percentage..

I will leave it up to the Peanut Gallery to figure how this applies to us here Tongue I will say that a power chip missing over 50% of its expected cooling path combined with getting hit (very briefly) with excessive core voltage is not long for this world... These are all items that any CM with a design team should have found in initial design review and later design change reviews and known how to address properly.

There is always room to optimize and info was presented to AMT (although the task was to build Bitmine designs "as is" because they had a proven working design); however, the boards can and do work fine "as is" when assembled properly from a mechanical/thermal standpoint (not PCB Assembly/soldering standpoint).  This is something that this CM was not responsible for as we did not have the capacity.

Indeed interesting that these were the exact Bitmine designs.  The Bitmine designs did have flaws as revealed by their late deliveries.  However,  Bitmine actually did deliver working units.  Not the same case as AMT.

Still let's get back to reality,  AMT has never made an effort to fix customer issues.  I got a system that did not include a backplane.  AMT never made the effort to ship a replacement.

So what is the deal FC?
How much do we get for what?

Is there going to be an IPO?
When will it be if so?

Tell us what's going on? Is the project still a go?

Project is still a go. You'll just have to be patient.

The numbers are still all the same as before.   50:1 investment for those got in the initial list.
325  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: June 30, 2014, 01:28:09 PM
I am posting this because it was deleted from the AMT thread:

You guys are ridiculous.

This is getting absolutely ridiculous.

Explain to me why Google maps clearly shows that the mailing address of RMA units is right behind the temple?

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/443+Old+York+Rd,+Jenkintown,+PA+19046/430+Johnson+St,+Jenkintown,+PA+19046/@40.0970725,-75.128386,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m13!4m12!1m5!1m1!1s0x89c6b0ea2dc084df:0x8ec8a5f182a73170!2m2!1d-75.1259738!2d40.097125!1m5!1m1!1s0x89c6b0ea37aa428b:0xf0fcfc48c946266!2m2!1d-75.1265974!2d40.0971069

On Johnson road, on the side of the even street numbers, the only building with a second floor is the Masonic temple!

As a customer,  I really want to know why AMT dealings are from the back of a Masonic temple.

This is absolutely ridiculous that you deliberately chose a location that is the back of the Masonic temple!!

Is this some kind of crude prank that you are playing?

Maybe they were in a hurry and didn't walk around it to see the front  Cheesy LOL

Actually that is the truth. And no, the fact that there is a lodge around the corner didn't really factor into the decision of taking that office. It was vacant, affordable, a shorter commute and cheaper than the last location by $260 a month. Oh, and it wasn't right next to the lawyers that were suing us. There's a Dunkin donuts on the corner guys, maybe we're in cahoots with those guys as well right. And we'll be pre-selling munchkins and the latest Koolata's soon enough.

"Look AMT's office is right next to a Catholic church!  And a park! and if you zoom in on google maps you can see a car parked out front! OH MY GOD"

It is the back of the Masonic building.   It has no windows!  Are you serious?

This:

430 Johnson Str., flr 2, Suite 202, Jenkintown, PA, 19046,

doesn't look like a legit office.

I mean.... the doors don't even have door handles, it looks like it opens only one way,  from the inside!

We aren't saying that it is right next to the Mason temple,  it's the back door of the Masonic temple!

You've lost it Carlos. You're just gone at this point.

If this is not the location, then can you furnish a photograph of the location (use Google street view if needed).

I honestly do not see any other 2 story building in the vicinity of 430 Johnson Str.  The 2 adjacent lots have single floor buildings.

Can you confirm if the photo in question is your location?
326  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: June 30, 2014, 10:36:17 AM
Have you guys seen AMT's new office since clenell has fucked up their world so badly?

430 Johnson Str., flr 2, Suite 202, Jenkintown, PA, 19046,

That's the alley entrance. Here's the front of the building less than 2 blocks from FedEx: 443 York Rd, Jenkintown, PA

Which whole mason thing was that?  We don't know anything about masons. There are several rumors, fake images, just plain crap on this thread that the trolls spread all the time, now we're free masons too right :. )

Unbelievable,  is AMT dealing with customer's packages from the back lot of a Masonic temple?

This temple appears to be the Concordia Lodge #67

Here is the contact page for inquiries:  http://www.pagrandlodge.org/districtc/67/contact.html

Just to make doubly sure that it indeed is the back of the temple,  I plotted the two addresses on Google map:

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/443+Old+York+Rd,+Jenkintown,+PA+19046/430+Johnson+St,+Jenkintown,+PA+19046/@40.0970725,-75.128386,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m13!4m12!1m5!1m1!1s0x89c6b0ea2dc084df:0x8ec8a5f182a73170!2m2!1d-75.1259738!2d40.097125!1m5!1m1!1s0x89c6b0ea37aa428b:0xf0fcfc48c946266!2m2!1d-75.1265974!2d40.0971069
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: June 29, 2014, 09:47:12 PM
He posts that stuff like mad, always on about Jesus.

You got some info on those ATM's?

Do you know who he is or anything about him?

The best ATMs I found are Lamassu but they cost ~$6,000.  I thought they were $1,800 but they quoted me wrong, quoting just the Stand.

There are cheaper ones but it seems Lamassu is the best.  Robocoin as well but those are $20,000.

So it's way out of our budget.  My plan was If IXC goes up that I would personally try to put an ATM in every state in the US and then move across the pond to Europe but if we can do a fund raiser then maybe we can get it done more quickly.

There's also a company called expresscoin.com who can take care of all the licensing and even maintenance and so on.

From my research, in the US, a very good location grosses ~$150,000 per month in Bitcoin volume, a good location ~$100,000 and a fair location ~$50,000.

I expect as the Bitcoin price sky rockets and the masses come in that a very good location can do upwards of 10 times that, or roughly $1 million per month, at least until there's a saturation of ATMs.

The best part is that these machines are open source so we can instal IXC side by side with BTC so we can make our money back off BTC sales while offering a distribution network for iXcoin (and possibly other coins as well).

That's what I have so far.

I just happen to have a Bitcoin ATM that I purchased recently.   I really don't have any use for this, however it can be modified to process IXC instead of Bitcoin.

Let me know if anyone is interested in creating a version to support alternate currencies like IXC.

Vlad, if you are working on getting a State money exchanger license, then we could partner on this.

Production Update:

1. Josh is in China, the internet sucks there and isn't following the forum so much.

2. Production is underway of assembly of Technobit based miners, A1/A2 miners and BE200 miners.

3. Shipping for all clients is due to be completed by Friday.

And we bought a small factory.

I haven't heard a notice of shipment,  when did you email customers about this?
329  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: June 29, 2014, 09:08:46 PM
It's like people disappear when verifiable news comes out, that or they just don't want to admit they made them self look a little foolish.

how bad is a company when their clients claim victory by merely getting them to accept a burned out miner?

/applause rik you win

soon enough AMT will have you fetching their slippers

Quite bad indeed. But it's the little wins.

Still the point stands. AMT- $millions  Clients- big fiery 0s  , AMT 1- FedEx 0.

I sure hope they don't leave their slippers in china, I don't have a passport.

And no, its not millions, its like a leased factory. Technically Americans can't own anything in China anyway btw.

AMT is leasing this factory using customer's funds that they refuse to refund.

I demand a refund immediately!

We've been demanding refunds for 3 months now without any response.[/quote]

Hi all,

I'm offering a 50K IXC bounty for anyone who updates the Ixcoin client to Bitcoin Core 0.9.2.1 and compiles it for Mac, Windows, Linux 32/64 + Ubuntu PPA.

Wonderful!   I'm working on it!
331  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 29, 2014, 07:32:53 PM
/applause for deleting all of yesterdays posts AMT.

takes a bow.

You've already done enough damage to this company, one which actually tried from the start with the best intentions  and is still trying where most didn't and where most have just given up. Just let it go, and maybe you'll get a refund with the others. Otherwise the same enthusiasm and efforts you've thrown into this will come back at you two times fold later on. This is just a forum, but your crap has had a direct impact on clients getting their machines, and a  direct impact on the progress of alternative solutions after IMET botched the job. If we didn't loose two months dealing with your bullshit everyone would have been mining by now. Your very nicely timed, and very  poorly executed "class action" is just another obstacle to overcome.

There are several men, who are very upset with you. They understand our situation in full, and have been informed of every step we've taken and action we've had to take because of your borderline crazyness. Most of them you've already spoken to and have found you to be quite annoying. They realize we're rectifying it through very interesting ways, and realize you are the source of instigation from a legal standpoint which has caused unnecessary expenditures as well as further delays. It's not us you need to worry about, it's them. We advise you to stop.

All this 'crazyness' could have been avoided if you simply provided this customer a refund that he requested.

Very simple, but you've over complicated the situation.
332  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 28, 2014, 11:11:48 PM
How is it that you have a petahash of hosting to sell yet you can't ship me the two 1.2 THs miners I ordered on December 5th 2013...?

Isn't that a mystery.
333  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 26, 2014, 06:10:31 PM
I think to start with they need to start answering emails. That's a huge issue. Communication as I have said has always been their worst problem. Most of their issues stem from the lack of communication.

Really? Would you rather buy from Bitmain who doesn't communicate but always delivers, or BFL who communicates but never delivers?

Ok let me make this retard proof.....
I think TO START WITH they need to START ANSWERING EMAILS. That's a HUGE issue. Communication as I have said has always been their WORST problem. Most of their ISSUES stem from the lack of communication....

To break that down and make it completely idiot proof.....They have ALOT of issues. Communication is the start. Non-delivery is a huge one but without knowing WHY they are behind they leave themselves open to alot of the shit that they get here. And rightly so. They dropped the ball and never picked it up. Communication REAL communication is what it will take to START to right this boat.

And as a bitmain customer myself, they do communicate. Just not via this forum as much. They address all customer concerns via email. So they do an excellent job IMO. AMT however WHEN they communicate, they drop the ball. Consistently. Overpromise and under (or never) deliver.

I hope this clears up the point. I would MUCH rather be doing business with Bitmain (and I am) than AMT at this point. The point is under the circumstances communication is what they need to fix first seeing as there are obvious delays.

Uh.... the real issue is that they have a non-existent product.

Also, non-existent technical support and non-existent warranty.

The product was supposed to be warrantied against manufacturer defects,  yet they refuse returns from broken systems.

334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 26, 2014, 03:36:50 PM
AMT has no wish to satisfy their customers orders. They had put on a survey of options a long time ago seeing what we they could substitute our original order for. That substitution was a quick way for us to get our hashing speed and for them to keep the profit (as the mining equipment is now cheaper from their competitors).

I would guess that they are going to wait until their competitors hardware really depreciates and then they will satisfy the orders. And that's only to prevent additional lawsuits from starting.

This is one real dishonest company who cant even email or communicate to their own customer base.

It would not help any lawsuits. Their dragging ass alone is grounds for legal action. There are alot of things going wrong here. The government is starting to become aware of all this stuff by different players in the market. So this wont last too much longer one way or the other.

The lack of fulfillment of the MPP is going to get them into legal trouble that extends beyond wire-fraud.

The MPP makes this purchase equivalent the selling of an investment scheme that AMT is apparently failing to deliver on.
335  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 26, 2014, 11:44:31 AM
If I had to guess they are in China. This week is the Bitcoin Conference in Hong Kong. But from what they have said they also have their assembly going on in China also. So one would hope that the priority is checking on the status of our hardware and shipping it from there....

So you are saying that this is a one man operation that can't be in two places at once?

I spoke in plural with THEY....so no I didn't say that clearly....BUT now that you mention it, its possible and HE would just be sourcing the work elsewhere. Not an unheard of thing either.

What I am saying is that AMT can't seem to do more than one thing at a time.

How are they expected then to deliver the 150 miners that they owe their customers?

Has anyone else with return issues simply called fed ex?

Fedex has an office on the first floor of my office building. I went there in person. They said it was refused by AMT.

It is one thing to not be able to accept a package, but to refuse a package that you know you sent a label for?

Utterly outrageous.

whats up with fedex?
i often export using fedex...

Are we saying that the problem is with a multi-billion dollar multinational and not AMT ( a company known for never delivering )?
339  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 25, 2014, 03:07:00 AM
First time they couldn't find the place

Second time they found it but the shipment was refused.

Probably the best thing to do is send the tracking info and details to the lawyers so they can further build their case.
340  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: June 24, 2014, 08:07:54 PM
Mine arrived back today as well. So much for the RMA process.

Thanks for letting me know of the status.

No need for me to waste time packaging my stuff for this completely non-existent RMA process.
