You can travel in the time by many years.

You can never come back where you have already been.

20 days and some minutes.
323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Multi-Timeframe Technical Analysis on: May 07, 2014, 04:26:10 PM
I noticed that MACD on the 1-Day chart is still DOWN; it also should be UP soon if the (edit: last small upward) trend continue, right?
Don't  know why, but considering the data in your OP, I thought it was going to be somehow sequential, i.e. MACD on 3-Day chart can turn GREEN only after 1-Day MACD has.

But that probably just states how I'm a newbie in TA...  Smiley
324  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: May 07, 2014, 05:39:59 AM
I have no clue but perhaps others do?

Possibly one of the big old BTC pools (i.e. Slush's pool) or maybe the epic "Gentlemen, I think we are the new wealthy Elite" is the oldest still active thread.
Do you want to check on that, or just ask a question?

Can I answer?
How can the Elite thread from 2011 be older than the Slush's pool one if the latter is from 27 November 2010?
And are three questions allowed in one single post?
325  Other / Off-topic / Re: oldest/longest thread on this forum on: May 07, 2014, 05:08:04 AM
The oldest still running thread in Off Topic Section is probably: What Song Are You Listening To?  Started: June 26, 2011, 11:11:29 PM

Yah, that one seems like it probably wins for 'off topic'.  I wonder about the forum overall.  I'd be sad if "What song are you listening to?" is the oldest one overall.

This is from 27 November 2010, still active!

Is this thread the answer of this question?

I have this curiosity:
 * what's the oldest/longest still-active thread on this forum?
Does anyone know how to find it?
327  Other / Meta / Re: Spoiler Tags on: May 03, 2014, 06:34:24 AM
I'm not even sure if that section existed when I originally made this thread. Hell, it was a year and a half ago now. Still no spoiler tags ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm adding a thread to the new subforum right now.
Yep, that section didn't exist at the time. I was referring to the recent bump after some months. Smiley

BTW, it seems it has been accepted:
This sounds like a good idea. Luckily I'm working on the BBCode editor right now so I'll try and see if I can get this in there.

Quite puzzling, lol.
not at all when you get used to quantum mechanics

I can't say I master the matter, but I agree with you. My conclusion was just for the LULZ Smiley

Some people will never be able to understand it. There not 'awake' enough to see it.
[SKIP]

 Huh

Not sure if you were referring to me but, considering you quoted me, please note that I was just reporting what Schroedinger wrote.

I really don't know how this can concern my "awakeness" or my understanding of the Spirit of Flower of Life in the new age of Aquarius with its 3rd strand of DNA expired on 21st Dec 2012, whatever.
And most important, in case you were going to explain me, I would like to NOT know.  Roll Eyes
329  Other / Off-topic / Re: quantum computing on: April 15, 2014, 06:18:48 PM
lol I thought Schroedinger cat was the reference here.

Yes, you are right.
The subatomic particle must be connected to the bottle of poison in a way that it can or cannot break the bottle, depending on its status.
Schroedinger, with his paradox, was pointing out that strange things could happen if we apply the laws of quantum mechanics to our classic world.
Like a cat both alive and dead at the same time, for example.

Quite puzzling, lol.

Hi, you don't have to restart if you didn't claim payment.

I'll add you to the list.

Thanks! In the meanwhile I just become a senior member.  Smiley

(and sorry for misspelling your name in my last post, let me know if I'm allowed to edit it. Roll Eyes )

Hi EvilPanada, I would like to continue the campaign with the new rates too.

I was very busy in the past weeks, so I didn't qualify for the current month, but now I'm back in.
Here is a link to my first post:

332  Economy / Speculation / Re: Spring Rally! on: April 15, 2014, 09:28:02 AM
I guess we are still some months far from new ATH and I agree with you about some nice rally is going to happen.

About the short-term highs I think that a bump somewhere in the 7-800 range could be achievable.

PS: To be clear, I am just guessing.

How far away is it? 5 year? 10 year? 50 years?  Smiley

I'd say both 5 AND 10 years. And 50 too. All of them in a box, with a cat. Smiley

with some deadly gas/poison feeded to the box right ?

Sure, and do not forget the subatomic particle!

I'm not sure if new features will be implemented in the current forum, but now there is this section to discuss about features of the new one:
Bitcoin Forum > Other > Meta > New forum software

A quote from the sticky post in that section:

If you have any ideas for new features or changes that are reasonably high-priority and realistic, discuss them in this section.

I'm lost.  Cheesy
338  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thought For The Day: 03/31/2014 on: April 01, 2014, 06:46:05 AM
So we should rent private jets and yatchs instead of buying them, I agree. But we need to rent women too?

I'm not sure, but it seems to apply also to women, lol.

From an old joke, a woman posted on an forum asking “What should I do to marry a rich guy?”:

Quote
I’m going to be honest of what I’m going to say here. I’m 25 this year. I’m very pretty, have style and good taste. I wish to marry a guy with $500k annual salary or above. You might say that I’m greedy, but an annual salary of $1M is considered only as middle class in New York.

My requirement is not high. Is there anyone in this forum who has an income of $500k annual salary? Are you all married? I wanted to ask: what should I do to marry rich persons like you? Among those I’ve dated, the richest is $250k annual income, and it seems that this is my upper limit. If someone is going to move into high cost residential area on the west of New York City Garden(?), $250k annual income is not enough.

I’m here humbly to ask a few questions:
1) Where do most rich bachelors hang out? (Please list down the names and addresses of bars, restaurant, gym)
2) Which age group should I target?
3) Why most wives of the riches are only average-looking? I’ve met a few girls who don’t have looks and are not interesting, but they are able to marry rich guys.
4) How do you decide who can be your wife, and who can only be your girlfriend? (my target now is to get married)

Signed,
Ms. Pretty

The reply:

Quote
Dear Ms. Pretty,

I have read your post with great interest. Guess there are lots of girls out there who have similar questions like yours. Please allow me to analyse your situation as a professional investor. My annual income is more than $500k, which meets your requirement, so I hope everyone believes that I’m not wasting time here.

From the standpoint of a business person, it is a bad decision to marry you. The answer is very simple, so let me explain.
Put the details aside, what you’re trying to do is an exchange of “beauty” and “money” : Person A provides beauty, and Person B pays for it, fair and square.
However, there’s a deadly problem here, your beauty will fade, but my money will not be gone without any good reason. The fact is, my income might increase from year to year, but you can’t be prettier year after year.
Hence from the viewpoint of economics, I am an appreciation asset, and you are a depreciation asset. It’s not just normal depreciation, but exponential depreciation. If that is your only asset, your value will be much worse 10 years later.
By the terms we use in Wall Street, every trading has a position, dating with you is also a “trading position”.
If the trade value dropped we will sell it and it is not a good idea to keep it for long term – same goes with the marriage that you wanted. It might be cruel to say this, but in order to make a wiser decision any assets with great depreciation value will be sold or “leased”.

Anyone with over $500k annual income is not a fool; we would only date you, but will not marry you. I would advice that you forget looking for any clues to marry a rich guy. And by the way, you could make yourself to become a rich person with $500k annual income. This has better chance than finding a rich fool.

Hope this reply helps.

Just joking, Smiley

Edit:
I've just noticed the same thing posted as a new thread 2 days ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=549252.msg5978325#msg5978325
Sorry, I wouldn't have posted this again if I had seen it before.   Lips sealed
339  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcointa.lk, my alternative to Bitcointalk.org on: March 30, 2014, 07:54:57 AM
As of now, nothing happens. The post is downloaded a few seconds after the first time it's posted here on Bitcointalk.org (almost in real time) and is never updated.
Since that it's a feature that everyone is asking for, i'm working on an intelligent way to update those posts.

However, it won't delete them from public view completely. There will be some fancy way of noting that the post was removed from Bitcointalk.org, but it will be completely visible. The same goes for post history; it will be publicly available.

For example, HashFast decided to self-moderate their last thread. The Bitcointalk.org version has 247 replies, Bitcointa.lk has 455 (!!!).
