321  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: February 20, 2016, 06:14:56 PM
It's sad to read that over 2100 btc has already been lost due to people forgetting their private keys and being unable to access their wallets. These coins are definitely a loss as mined coins are limited and with these coins just lying idle in the wallet, even blockchain or another site cannot access them ever.

I could not be more sure that it is a lot more lost than just 2100btc, where did you get this number?
I myself have lost 3btc due to not being on the ball with my back ups.
All in all. Every coin lost just makes the remaining more valuable so yes it is a loss to the person but not to bitcoin or its holders as it makes the remaining coin that little bit more valuable.
322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Going UP! on: February 20, 2016, 06:05:38 PM
The bitcoin price is now growing steady for mor than a week now.
The halving is coming and the price will not go bellow $400 hundred again.
So, if you have them, you better hold them tight!

It is nice we have a small pump going on but the halving is far enough away for there to be another drop below $400.
I have my bitcoin to trade and those stacked away nice and secure ready to get when I feel the time is right.

BTC
LTC
ETH

People jumping back from the hype train and now hopefully, I see more of bitcoin threads instead of eth.org as was the last few weeks.
323  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Earn 1000€ and more... on: February 20, 2016, 05:52:46 PM
After seeing the latest review list, I gave Sathyr a shot I have not heard of this method before so I have made sure I fully understand it before jumping in.
So far all has made sense and the few question I had was answered straight away by Sathyr  over skype.
It is nice to know that even after he has the money for the method banked, he is still around to help on your way.
I look forward to making my money back and more Smiley
Thank you mate and I will come back and update once I have fully began.

324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: February 15, 2016, 06:43:39 PM
Bitcoin will never reach world domination. Hopefully it will be widely accepted, but I can't imagine any countries using bitcoin as their official currency. Just because they can not control it. Bank will be needed, however I do think banks will adopt much of the technology.
yeah, i also think so. it would be better if bitcoin and banks work together, it would be better both

There was nothing said about btc and banks working together.
Hopefully they never do, not that it needs much hope because they never will.
A decentralized btc is not something banks are going to even attempt to work with and it would be worse for both not better.
As above said as long as it becomes even more widely accepted banks are not needed but they have nothing to fear from btc and they will never disappear unless forced to.
I think like that, banks and bitcoin never worked together and I also do not agree if it happens because it can make a lot of difference in bitcoin, and bitcoin will be controlled by the bank and can not be free anymore.
That is true. But I dont think it possible to disappear a bank. Many people use banks and that is really important for them.
I think the older people dont even know what Bitcoins is and what you can do with it and that is the problem.

It will make a big difference if the banks got involved.
I would hang about for a year or two after the news they was getting involved because the pump would be epic!
I'd only be hanging around for the $ though at that point because it would lack what made it great.
Not only the older people don't know what btc is but 95+% of the world do not know what btc is.
I for one need banks at this present time as most people who have families do, they're not going anywhere snd if they do chaos will soon follow  Cheesy
325  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Best online Bitcoin wallet ? on: February 15, 2016, 05:57:14 PM
For Simplicity  &  Security The Best for me is blockchain.info

blockchain is the best for online wallet and for security is not a good
is good and the best for security is trezor wallet or bitcoin core

In over 2 years I have had no issue with Blockchain.info's security. 2FA through my phone, IP restriction, Tor restriction, memoric saved, gmail with 2fa. I also archive the address with the most and of course have an encrypted priv key incase.
That is the safest 'online wallet' I have found or would use.
Trezor is a hardware wallet so is not needed in this thread same as core albiet they're both awesome in their own ways.

Xapo is the best i think, not for many bitcoins but for small and daily transactions its the best, because it has no fees on transactions.
But for me xapo is the worst online wallet for me i can't login there fast after 2 factor authentic they send the code to my number but it take long time to receive your verification code.. its better to use coinbase or blockchain as online wallet than that wallet..
Then just download xapo app for your phone as the code will be sent to your app rather than your phone number and it's faster that way Wink

Dont use blockchain as their security is a trash overall
My wallet got hacked twice and yesterday i got an email regarding login attempt even though i havent open it in a months Tongue

I don't see how you are getting hacked so easily.  I think it's likely you causing it not blockchain.  Do you have 2 factor turned on with it?

You can go pretty deep with 2FA where even if they have a password it does no good without the 2fa item.   So not sure how you got hacked twice if doing that.  Also they would need to know wallet it... which it seems you would provide through compromised device or phising.  So I don't think you can blame them.

Yes, to quick to blame a wallet when the problem is his own security measures or should we say lack of. It is just a day to day wallet and the most that could be stolen is a day)weeks spending so it is really not a big deal to leave a couple of btc on there.

326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: February 15, 2016, 05:30:42 PM
which really makes me cry when parlay only lost one team and when playing poker and I have AA and I try to all in but lost with the card 2 and 3 Cry

I had a 6fold parlay over the weekend lose because of '1 goal' it was annoying but I actually find it funny.
Nothing in gambling is worth crying over, life is to precious to cry over BS.
You sound like you're playing very very low poker stakes or are short stacked or freerolls to be losing against 2/3 with AA all in.
I can't say that has ever happened to me after many thousands of hands played and hundreds of MTT's.
327  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think the price will rise again above $400 on: February 15, 2016, 05:11:37 PM
sure it will rise, maybe not from sellers/buyers but from halving, it might double price of bitcoin, so thats nice for us

You should really pay attention to what your posting  Roll Eyes
There is no surety it will rise, further more the only way it will rise if there is more buyers than sellers so it has everything to do with them and not much to do with the halving.
It might double in value but that is doubtful.
I'm sure we will rise a bit above $400 more than likely closer to $500-$600 before the halving and then a nice drop when it arrives back to the recent lows we have $370's.

329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What will be the high price of Bitcoin in 2016? on: February 15, 2016, 12:31:59 AM
No option for me to vote for lower than $465?
If I could I would but as I can't I will go for the closest number to it as above $465.
I hope I'm wrong and we get a huge halving pump but I can't see it, I see the opposite.
330  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: February 14, 2016, 09:50:45 PM
try to gain as much bitcoin as possible and then sell it all

Invest in bitcoin gambling or trading If you want to get rich soon.

Unless you are a very experienced trader with an already big stack on coins (a whale) then you will not be getting rich by trading BTC.
Investing at a BTC casino house should pay off a small amount but for the risk to reward ratio it is hardly worth it and again it will not make you rich.
The only way to really get rich is working on your own project(business and making it a success with a lot of hard work.
try to gain as much bitcoin as possible and then sell it all

Roll Eyes Nope no easy riches from buying now, maybe a profit but not rich unless you was already rich anyway.
331  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $20 again on: February 14, 2016, 08:44:38 PM
Two-digit prices seem to be very far-fetched as of the current times, seeing that different infrastructures and businesses are already built around bitcoin. Even if it fall to a hundred dollars a piece, it would easily rebound back up due to many investors relying on it to profit.

Not sure if you read the op or not but it was a long time ago.
It was not a doom crashing thread but doubting the extent that it would rise again.
I feel kinda sorry for the guy he sold all and then watched over the next couple of years as his coin would have made him a millionaire lol
If it fell to $100 there would be good reason behind that and I would not be so sure that it would be bouncing back.
Only a broken BC could bring the two digit again.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: February 14, 2016, 08:30:16 PM
Gambling can be for monetary or entertainment purposes.  There are many forms of gambling.  The stock market, lottery tickets, and casinos are all legal forms of gambling.

Normaly when gambling for monetary purposes is when it can become wrong imo as that is when it can become easily addictive. Stock market is a smarter gambling an more investing and is not wrong unless you lose your families wealth.

IMHO, Stocks are the worst thing in gambling as you don't know when will it dump, and stocks aren't BTC which will recover some day...
So, losing either your money or your families' doesn't matter at all, but losing is not an option when you are in something for profits...

So you're saying because you don't know when it will dump makes it worse than gambling in a casino and makes it bad and wrong?
I've heard it all now, because it is so easy to know when you're going to win and lose against the casino house isn't it.

and stocks aren't BTC which will recover some day...

Never said they was it was a simple statement that you have got excited about. So now we're here, BTC is sure to recover one day is it and stocks are not. Ok I get ya  Grin

I will attempt at dechiphering this; losing your families money is wrong so that does matter a lot. Losing your own money is your own business so that is not wrong. Losing is an option to say any different is stupid.
333  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: February 14, 2016, 08:13:01 PM
I will choose bitcoin because bitcoin is not stable value there's a possible that the price will rise to 10k value and i hope it will happen in the future.
That's i am collecting more bitcoins for the future. .Gold is not a good idea to choose because gold price is stable.

Yes it can give us huge profits in quick time, so if I have to invest at a moment I would choose bitcoin over gold looking at the price volatility of bitcoins so I can make a good profit in short term.

It can be nice profits and at the same time could be substantial losses. At the moment it would be risky but i too would go with btc and then put it in storage where I couldn't panic sell if we took a small dip.
334  Economy / Speculation / Re: When are you selling your bitcoins? on: February 14, 2016, 07:59:51 PM
don't sell ever, just buy and use what you buy directly, to purchase what you need

this way you help the demand to grow

well not really. If you just buy btc then buy something with btc... Well you're doing nothing but paying the fees for exchange :/

You have misunderstood what he has said and being closed minded.
If i am to buy btc right now and then buy the product that I want using btc as the payment method, I am then helping adoption and giving the merchant a reason to keep accepting btc so obviously in return doing my part helping btc become a usable currency and not just a speculative tool.
The more that use btc and help it grow the more demand it will obvioulsy create and we should all know what happens with more demand.
The only time I sell is to short or if I am in need.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: February 14, 2016, 07:49:22 PM
when I lost all my bitcoin and I can not do anything but cry regret my actions.

Well you need to get some discipline from somewhere my friend. There is "never any reason to lose "all of your btc"  gambling, even less is there any reason to cry after the fact that your actions sucked and could not be controlled. If you can't stop gambling all of your btc it is time to seek help for addiction.
It is easy to walk away without losing all of your funds if you're not addicted.

Gambling is very risky and there is chance you will lose your bet even if you winning chance is 99%. You should gamble with money that you are prepared to lose.

It is risky and that is what makes it fun.

when I am closer to the addiction. I can not do anything, other than trying to shew me the money for the sake of wealth. very hard, it's so hard for me. I could not stop from gambling.

That is why you can't do anything` because you have told yourself you can't do anything.
You can do anything you want and that includes being able to stop gambling and crying as a result.
There is help out there for you should you choose to accept it.
I could not begin to help you on a forum thread post but I have dealt with it myself and it can be beat.
Pm if you want to sort it out.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: February 14, 2016, 07:32:31 PM
If you are gambling only to earn money and have no other source of earning, this is definitely wrong. Gambling is a game and not a job which can earn you money and hence better do not treat it as earning method.

That is what makes gambling wrong but that is also why many members on this forum gamble.
We should all know that in the long run there is only one winner and that is the casino, treating it as an income is crazy and will soon have a rude awakening with that mentality.

337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 14, 2016, 07:21:29 PM
Big blow for Man City in the title race after the 2-1 loss to Tottenham today.

They don't have a chance already. Championship race is between Arsenal and Leicester City and today's big win is a big boost for Arsenal.

Of course they have a chance there is still enough time for anything to happen.
Especially because of the fact that Leicester have not been in this position in all the time I have followed the EPL.
Lets not throw Man C to far to the side because of a slack couple of games as stranger things have happened in football.
Arsenal are looking good for it.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: February 09, 2016, 05:14:31 PM
I look at gambling as paying for entertainment, not as an investment.  I set an amount that I am willing to loose.  It's the price of the entertainment.  If I'm hoping to hit big and win a lot, that's when I loose the most.

this is the best way to thin in -EV games , players should know that they are playing to lose unless a miracle happened ( this is my philosophy in -EV Games )
you should only play these games to have fun , and everyone should bet what he can afford to lose
Poker and Sportsbetting is a different story
Poker and sportbetting are always EV- (players will always loose money).
The difference is that you are playing against other players.
The only way to truly win money is to be EV+ against other players (a.k.a be better than them).

But I agree that EV- games are a waste of money.

You could not be more wrong with sports and poker being EV- it is the opposite if you have a head on your shoulders and knowledge of the game with skills and experience then it is an EV+ game even after paying the fee.
I know this because after years of playing I am up from both sports and poker, luck doesn't last this long.

340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: February 09, 2016, 12:49:50 PM
Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.

Accept bitcoin? I don't think so... However I have heard many times before several big banks allow you to purchased crypto coins from them at market value + a small fee... But I have never asked while being inside so I can't even confirm if its actually true Tongue.

As for the future, I don't see any banks accepting bitcoin in the future because they are so afraid of it. However I think it would be a wise publicity stunt for the first major bank that does accept bitcoin and even start letting the public invest bitcoin or earn a monthly interest on their bitcoins. That would bring that first major bank a lot of attention and new customers for sure!

Yes that would be great to give the banks control over our btc so they can loan it out at interest and play the market a gooden end up basically cornering the market after a not so long time period. They are the true pumpers and dumpers and if they get enough coin they will play the game and they will win.
Never get greedy and give your btc to banks for the promise of interest.
Much more important than that is being your own bank and not caring what the other banks are doing when it comes to btc.
