yes, Burnley have enough hope for this season. I think they can compete. in the FA Cup last season Burnley also reached the quarter-finals. unfortunately they stopped by being beaten by City with a very big score of 6-0.
Burnley can at least stay in the mid-table if they can provide consistent performance. we know the weakness of teams that are not as rich as the favorites is the performance of the game. they can look pretty good at the start of the season. but after that they were inconsistent due to the problems of several players.

Burnley have really played a great Championship season under Kompany to be back in PL and I am sure that Kompany will really manage the team well in PL as well. They do need some signings but I still think they can finish between top10-15 otherwise I think they can make it into top 10 for sure if transfers are good ones. I am really curious to see their gameplay and how they start the season. Kompany and his men will be preparing hard for the season ahead.

Seeing the transfer of former Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchezto Chelsea, I think it'll serve as a huge gain to the London club who saw their former goalie who once win the FIFA Best goalkeeper award while at the club leave for a Saudi Arabian League.
The arrival of Sanchez at Chelsea will definitely keep their first choice goalkeeper Kepa on his toes because he now knows that there's a serious contender that'll take his place if he underperforms.

I have no doubt about Robert Sanchez being a good transfer but honestly I think Edouard Mendy was also doing a great job. They really should have kept Mendy, then they didn't had a need to make a move for Robert Sanchez. I am sure Robert Sanchez will become first preference in the squad. He is really strong keeper and he really made some specatcular saves last season. Competition will be tough between Sanchez and Kepa  but I don't think they have made a move to make Sanchez as a backup nor Sanchez has made a move for a backup goalkeeper. So I feel Sanchez is gonna slowly emerge as first team player after some time.

It's very unlikely that Manchester United will sign Tchouameni given that Real Madrid have bigger plans for him in the future, unless if they signed another serious defensive midfielder. The recent high rate of conceding goals for them during club friendlies only draws a picture as to why they need to get hold of him and even buy some more defensive players.
Letting him go with Toni Kroos and Modric getting older and less fit by the day would be a very bad move.

Yes^^ They signed Tchouameni for 80m Euro and has signed him for a long term until 2028 so it is obvious that Real Madrid has long term plans for the player. These are just some false rumors arising out of United looking for midfielder in the transfer market currently. They do have Sofyan Amrabat now but not Tchouameni, Tchouameni is untouchable. Amrabat could really prove to be a good signing for United as we have seen how good he was with Morocco in World Cup.

Arteta realized what *his team lacked last season* and now he will perfect it. it's not just Arsenal who will make things difficult for City. I'm sure Man United also has surprises that will make it difficult for City this season. City is indeed strong. but who will play consistently in the League and who will get the trophy.
I suspect these three teams will be the strongest in the Premier League. maybe coupled with Newcastle as a new force that has started to show the results of their hard work last season. and this season they will try to do better.

then how about the teams that are promoted to the Premier League this season? they had to work hard to adjust to competition with much stronger teams.

It's not like what Arsenal lacked but I feel it was more like what we need given the competitions we have to play in this season. We need backup and strong players in some positions which we filled up this time. Hopefully the upcoming will swiftly pass and bring us the success we've been longing for.

As for strongest in PL, I think United, Arsenal, City, Liverpool are strong teams. Throw in Newcastle and Brighton too. Chelsea also might improve a lot this season as compared to last season. Spurs might wobble a bit. About the teams promoted, I have my hopes high with Burnley in PL and I feel that they should finish top 15 at least.

Alvaro Morata has been one of the most rumoured players to leave at Atletico Madrid. The rumours have been coming from everywhere like from European teams to Saudi Arabian teams. But still there is update on that lately. Felix's returning to the team has raised these rumours. Felix is also in these rumours so maybe one of these strikers can really leave before the transfer window closes.

I don't think Felix would be signed permanently considering Atletico Madrid ask too much money for his transfer fee. Maybe he would be loaned again. If he doesn't then I think Morata will be the leaving one. Maybe he would return to Italy if there is still interest from there.

Haven't seen a strong rumor about Alvaro Morata's departure recently but this could be really true how fast Saudi Arabian teams have been so far in the transfer market. They aren't holding much back with bids and are bidding kind of a lot over the players valuation in order to stop wasting any time with negotiations. Morata is almost 30 and is move wouldn't be much bad but from Atletico's point of view, they might decline such offers.

About Felix loan, I don't think it's a permanent fix. By loaning him every year, Atletico Madrid have to make a decision as they won't have much time later on as it will come near contract end. Felix is Atletico Madrid's biggest spend so Atletico will be actively looking for a permanent transfer soon.

What is taking Chelsea so long on this Vlahovic deal? Just get rid of Lukaku already and pay the necessary cash also. It is said that they need to pay £35m also and I don't think this is a big deal for Chelsea at all. Vlahovic's market price is £60m while Lukaku's is £34m. I wonder whether Chelsea were waiting to seal the deal by only paying the difference between their prices.

But I believe this deal is still worth being completed despite the asking price is higher than they expect. I don't see anyone else as a striker target for Chelsea now. They should go for this deal and give Vlahovic a chance from now on.

Because they have given enough chance to Lukaku until now and he has always been a disappointment.

It's hard and I think Juventus value Vlahovic much more than that in order to sell him that easily to Chelsea. Juventus more than 80m for Vlahovic so maybe they are trying to get back that value from the potential sale of Vlahovic. Chelsea do need a new striker but I think Vlahovic isn't worth going for a price above 50m-60m Euro. Well I honestly think they don't need another striker at all as they have Nkunku already but still signing Vlahovic seems like an unnecessary stretch to me.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 04, 2023, 03:39:25 PM
I'm sure Man City will easily win the Super Cup... Arsenal have a lot of changes in the team right now and haven't had time to get things right... City are a machine now and nothing can stop them... Maybe Arsenal can score one goal, but I'm sure City will do it several times... The 1.75 odds are a good opportunity to profit...

I would say it's not quite clear for City as well. City are the favorites with their current form and their squad but don't underestimate Arsenal as well as they have just now added lot of players to their squad and under Arteta they have also emerged as a strong team since last year. I would say despite being Arsenal fan, I would still say it's anybody's game and can go either way in the end. Its only one game and both teams will push hard so you never know underdogs can also win the match here.

No osimhen, No Vlahovic, No lukaku but it's goncalo ramos who's gonna be a new striker in PSG.
Napoli were not going to let Osimhen leave, Vlahovic may end up with Poch in Chelsea, Lukaku is a wasted striker that will not play anything special for PSG, and cannot assure them a good performance in the champions league. Goncalo Ramos can be a good striker for PSG that will combine well with Neymer and Dembele who is set to join PSG from Barcelona. PSG look to already be preparing for a season without Mbappe or a season where they have many options to play and not just Mbappe. This their new signings can change the face of attack for PSG next season.

Since you have mentioned Lukaku and Vlahovic, I saw a report couple of days ago about Chelsea thinking of potential swap of Vlahovic-Lukaku with Juventus. Chelsea were reported to be very interested in it but even if they were for true, I don't think Juventus would have allowed the move easily as they have spent a lot on Vlahovic and to get Lukaku in place of Vlahovic isn't a sweet deal for Juventus.

About PSG signing new strikers, I am not sure what they are planning exactly with signing so much players. I don't think they really need that much players and will only impact their playing chances and will lead to unrest feeling among players later on. So it is better to sell off some players that they don't need if they are signing new players.

Gvardiol to City was one of the most logical summer transfers for me.

The best ball-playing team in the world filling the gap in defence with a fast, ball-playing left footed center back - you simply knew this was going to happen.

Gvardiol is pure quality and will be a world-class centre back for a long period of time. This is a great deal for everybody involved and he deserves to be breaking transfer records.
Well they have been trying to get Gvardiol for a long time so it was obvious and at the end happened as expected. City kinda pushed the line in order to sign Gvardiol which gets to show how much they wanted him. Under Guardiola and City he can develop a lot and get lot of achievements as well. As for City, they are adding another strong player to the squad so they will really find it easy in the games.

For sure is a great deal for everyone. Leipzig had made a record with this sale and they will go on to look for replacement now and to develop him like Gvardiol again.

Expectations are high for Hojlund. I hope he can play successful matches at Manchester United. High-level performance like Haaland should not be expected. I think he can be considered successful for Manchester United if he performs over 15 goals a year. I agree with what you said about Maguire. He's hurting Manchester United now.
He is quite young and he will be having lot of pressure on him especially after being bought by a big club like United for a big price tag. He will be on spotlight so if he performs well in his starting matches then he really will have great career ahead. So it is really important for manager also to make him comfortable as much as they can. Even Haaland took some time to adjust so Hojlund will need as well, it's same for everybody.

(!) This is supposed to be Mixin Safe review but there are some things that I didn't liked straight off the bat - Improper organizing of Mixin products. I feel a project/company should have all things linked at one site so that their users can feel it easy to scroll through their products or can find related help and FAQ's easily. With Mixin, I saw their Mixin Safe being at https://safe.mixin.zone, while their about Mixin network being at https://mixin.network and Mixin Messenger at https://mixin.one/messenger . Another thing, while I can find about Mixin Messenger and Mixin Network from https://mixin.one, there is nothing to find about Mixin Safe there. It will be great if Mixin team organizes their products properly in a way that their users can find everything at one spot like safe.mixin.one, messenger.mixin.one and network.mixin.one. I hope team is able to understand what I am highlighting here.

Mixin Messenger:

Installation & further setups: Installation was pretty easy as it was simple download from Google Play store on my Android phone. While scrolling and checking through the application I stumbled upon desktop version of Mixin Messenger.

Quote
Suggestion:
(*) It would be really good to have web version of Mixin messenger also.

After installing the application, I was asked to register myself with name and phone no. (verified with OTP). Once it was all set, I was asked to set a 6 digit bin PIN during which I was asked to verify 4 times!! (bit annoying but can understand). Once everything was all done with initial setup, I made a deposit of 0.001 BTC [txid] in Mixin Messenger Wallet.

Adding Contacts & Emergency Contacts: Before I move to next step of sending to someone and/or address, I opened another Mixin Messenger Account with my other phone no. and added each other as contact. For setting of Emergency Contacts, I went to Settings>Account>Security>Emergency Contact which then gives me a dialog box of the nature of Emergency Contacts after which I am asked for my 6 digit PIN and after then I am asked to select the emergency contact from the list which I selected my other account. A 4 digit code was sent to the other account on Mixin Messenger which I filled up and confirmed to enable the Emergency Contact.

I find setting up of Emergency contact as really good feature as in case of phone stolen/or lost/ or inaccessible a user can ask for emergency contact to help with accessing his Mixin Messenger back again. Mixin team has explained it in their article [LINK] .

Transfer of Coins between Contacts &  to Address[1][2][3]: First of all, I initiated transaction between contacts wherein I clicked on "+" at the bottom left hand side and selected "Transfer" and type in 0.001 BTC as amount in next step and authenticated the transaction by putting in my 6 digit PIN. It was smooth, easy and no fee was required.

Next for sending coin to address[4][5], I went to my Mixin Messenger Wallet and simply clicked "Send" and then selected "Address" and then sent 0.00064 BTC (excluding 0.00033 BTC fee)[6] to back to my wallet address. The whole process was very smooth but the fee was very high for the transaction. The real transaction however was sent with 0.00002495 BTC fee.

Review: I didn't experienced any problems while using Mixin Messenger but I really do hope they can tune down the fees a little for sending a transaction to another bitcoin address. It would be much better if they provide a way for their users to adjust fees according to them.

Mixin Safe:

Now next up I started trying out Mixin Safe. While trying to login from Mixin Messenger, the site showed me Login failed error. I tried wiping up the site data but it still showed me the error so I shut down my Windows system and booted into my other OS Manjaro Linux and tried signing in and it worked this time.

Interface was good . During the setup it requires other third party wallets like Mornin Key or Ledger Wallet or Bitcoin Core. I had my Ledger wallet but due to its broken display (realized after starting up for the review), I had to move over to Mornin Key.  Mornin Key installation was smooth and I had no problem with it.

Next up, I started creating a new safe by going to Safe>>New Safe. Site asks for simple Safe Name and Network (Bitcoin, Litecoin#) and in next page asks for the wallet- Bitcoin Core/Mornin Key/Ledger. After selecting Mornin Key, it asks for no. of Members for the safe and no. of members approval needed to authorize any transaction from the safe later on. I added my second account but forgot to update it to "2" so by default I selected "1" as no. of members for the safe. On the next step, it was pretty much the information about the safe and nothing to do but more like a review about the safe.

Funding & Transaction: After creating the safe, I added 0.00029603 (8.65$) into the safe [1] direct from the Mixin Messenger Wallet. After depositing, I clicked on send transaction against the safe [2]  and it asked me the bitcoin address to where I want to send it to and the amount, on the next page it gave me a simple overview of the transaction. On the next stage, it asked me for Member's Approval and then Owner's approval [3] . It was all easy as my safe needed one approval but since it needed one approval, I had to approve it from my other account [4]  . After approval, all it  required was approving the transaction from Owner's end which is done by scanning the QR on Mornin Key [5] . The transaction was made after then and it was all smooth [6][7] .

My review: I liked how smooth experience I had throughout the process. Mixin has really designed it carefully talking from the security point of view. There are certain things that I would like to add on:

Quote
  • During log-in I encountered issues with login. It consistently showed me "Login failed". It would be great if you can check on that.
  • Plus, apart from that^^^ I would like to suggest making some kind of mirror site to give users an alternate way to access their safes also. Like gambling sites have mirror sites just in case main sites doesn't works. It doesn't have to be lot, just 2 or 3 at best should be enough. Users tend to panic when they are unable to access their funds and in that situation they can bombard your mail or support chat box so it is good to have a mirror site.
  • It would be great to have more coin options (currently Bitcoin and Litecoin) while creating a Safe. I am sure you guys @MixinTeam are working on that since it is just in Beta Phase.

As a lifelong Liverpool fan I can confirm. There is absolutely zero chance our cheap ass owners facilitate a deal for Mbappe. It is never going to happen.

He will either sign a new deal with PSG or go on a free transfer next season to Real Madrid.
I don't know, but maybe you're right. I have heard so many complaints about the Liverpool management that it is always difficult to spend a lot of money to build a squad with expensive players. I even agree Liverpool don't need to bring in expensive players every season, but some players need to be brought in to improve and give them a better chance of winning titles.

Liverpool needs to change its tranger habits/policies if it wants to compete with Manchester City and other top teams. Even if they can win titles with the players they are now, Klopp certainly expects him to have a squad that can actually implement his plans every season well. Kylian Mbappe is good for Liverpool, but I agree with your assumption that Liverpool will not sign him from PSG.

Two questions that one who are convinced about Mbappe to Liverpool deal should ask themselves:

Are Liverpool in position to sign Mbappe (no offence to Liverpool fans. And secondly, even if they are then is Mbappe interested in joining Liverpool? To me answer to both is no but majority of those who find Mbappe can still sign for Liverpool will see that there is bit of hurdle if we see for clear.

Real has not made any offer for him yet so if Liverpool goes and pays a bit more for him I think they can still get him and I believe that if Liverpool gets a player like Mbappe to join them they will be fighting for the title this year and they can have a go also in the Champions League because Mbappe for me is the best player playing in Europe now that the best ones have moved away to Saudi and USA.

Liverpool should act fast as Mbappe himself wants to go to Real so Liverpool should convince him with a really nice offer, personally I want to see him in Liverpool and the Premier League.

It's not about who has made the offer and who has not. Can Liverpool buy him if they make PSG a bid below or 100m? I don't think so... PSG value him at least more than 150m Euro and they want to get back that value out of his sale. Until they get that amount I don't think so that they are going to sell Mbappe. Can Liverpool match that? - is a big question but given so far how much they have spent, I don't think Mbappe is in their plans (I could be wrong though).

Also even if they match that value they also have to convince the player so that's another thing they have to work on. I am inclined towards Mbappe to Madrid right now but not in this transfer window and maybe next year.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 30, 2023, 10:24:12 AM
Liverpool is trying to get mbappe as loan from PSG but i don't even think PSG wanna give mbappe's remaining contract as loan to the liverpool. PSG will prefer to sell him as permanent status instead of giving him to the liverpool as a loan. It's a trick by liverpool.

No chance. I don't think PSG are willing to allow loan for Mbappe. Mbappe is a crucial team player so either it will be a contract extension or a sale. These are just fake rumours and there is no solid source behind such. These are just gossips created out of thin air.

At the moment, I think Mbappe will likely leave PSG for free to join Real Madrid. PSG also are convinced that behind the curtains Mbappe has already agreed with Real Madrid.

It's difficult to find a good pure striker at the moment, Man United were fortunate to have managed to recruit Rasmus Hojlund even though they had to spend up to 75 million euros. There have been plenty of clubs keen on the Danish striker this summer, but Ten Hag is one step ahead. I think the strongest reason for Hojlund to choose Man United is to get regular playing minutes in Ten Hag main squad, this will automatically make him continue to develop in every game and can make a contribution to Man United himself.

The English Premier League top scorer competition next season will be more colorful and challenging with the presence of Hojlund, who could beat Kane and Halaand.

I would say although they were fortunate, it's still a risky deal as Hojlund is quite young and we don't know for certain how quickly he will adjust to Premier League. So given this it is a risky gamble according to me as it can be turn out to be good and also bad later on - we don't know yet for certain. I would say signing Kane would have been much better but it seems United has put their eggs in the basket now so there is no turning back.

Hope United gets the performance from him as they hope to get. All eyes will be on him and he has to perform facing this pressure.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 29, 2023, 05:36:45 PM
What Arsenal last season was great even though they did not have one specific target man to score goals in every match because they were playing collectively and many players could score goals.

[+1] ^^ A team game was what they were after and that is why they showed massive improvement in last season. It was close to winning them the title but they missed out in the end.

Why people want them to sign a striker, maybe they want to have a target man who has a great skill to score goals in any opportunity, a striker that they did not have last year.
Reasonable enough if many people want it and it is good if they can sign a real striker with great skills but if they can have it this season, their gameplay should not be changed significantly because it is possible if they have 1 new great striker then they will be focused to pass the ball to the striker most of the time.

I don't think there is a need of striker for Arsenal. They have Jesus and lot of young players like Balogun who can do the work for them right now. Also right now we are playing great football and I feel adding another striker will start creating lot of problems.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 29, 2023, 04:31:56 PM
Everybody lost confidence in Maguire even himself. I honestly dont know who would sign him because he has been terrible in last couple of years. Man Utd wants to get rid of him but not for a small price they still want some money back from once they bought him.

For a right price some clubs might find some use. I think 25-30m is good enough for Harry Maguire but I think United expects a bit more than that given how much they invested in him couple of years ago from Leicester City. ten Haag can still find a use of him as a backup defender if situation arises.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 29, 2023, 08:20:56 AM
Could you tell me the present worth of the price for him? The fact that if his performance is always disappointing in manchester united. 20 million were overvalued for him. Meguire shall be worth only 10 millions. I saw how bad his performance was. He was making manchester united unable to win the match against sevilla. You said that he is not garbage, but the truth said the opposite thing. There are bunches of meguire meme on internet. That proves how garbage he was in manchester united.

He may be a hero for leicester city a few years ago but he is only a clown at manchester united. Rejecting westham's offer is a very bad move for united. I think that MU was making a blunder by rejecting westham's offer.
We shall talk about the truth that is alreadyhappened not for the things that are beyond our imagination.

It depends on how club value him. Right now it seems club still values him and he has spot in the squad. Not as a first team player but still it seems like ten Haag could find some use if his starting players get injured. At such scenario, if he leaves then United has to make another signing so United value a bit high so that they could recover a good money out of Harry Maguire's departure. I know he isn't on a level of United standards but that's the thinking of only you and me and club has different way of thinking. Hopefully, he can do something good at United in his last days (if it is).

I hear some names like verratti who has been begging to the liverpool to recruit him but liverpool doesn't sign him.

Is he? Last time I heard he was very close with a Saudi Club last week. So I don't think there is a need to urge Liverpool to buy him here. Veratti to Liverpool would have been nice but it seems like for Liverpool he is not the target as I haven't seen Liverpool showing any kind of interest on him yet.

The negotiation for romeo lavia is still continue.
https://www.liverpool.com/liverpool-fc-news/transfer-news/romeo-lavia-transfer-warning-liverpool-27417169

Soton was giving warning for liverpool caused by it takes very long to complete lavia's transfer. Chelsea sees opportunity to hijack him from liverpool. Soton has been also sending a message for FSG regarding lavia's transfer. No response has been coming from FSG so far.
Liverpool is keeping to be quite on its tranfer at this moment. It's not so aggresive like another team.

Yeah, Lavia is a priority target for Liverpool right now. Talks are going on but it is slow and Southampton are valuing Lavia a bit high but if Liverpool wants the player then they should really go for it or otherwise move to some other name in the list. There is no point dragging talks as it will waste time if those talks doesn't moves things forward.

Mcallister has not been performing so well during his debut. I can't expect impressive performance from liverpool next season.

It's a new club for him and it is tough for anyone to get adjusted to the playing style of new club. He would slowly get used to it. Give it some time. Klopp certainly has plan and he will make his best efforts to make MacAllister adjusted and comfortable to his tactics later on.
