321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bignews: Facebook to implement Bitcoin Payments on their Advertising Platform on: January 06, 2014, 02:18:34 PM

There is a rumor out now that Facebook has, or is, implementing Bitcoin payments on their advertising platform. The image below was sent to Bitcoinboard this morning by an employee of Facebook in Netherlands who is participating in the test:

facebook-ads-bitcoin-payment

There is an option there to pay with Bitcoins on the Facebook Payment page, however, I can not personally confirm if this is legit or modified by someone else.

Bitcoinboard writes:

At this moment you can pay for advertising with a Creditcard, Paypal and FB Ad coupons. It is not yet clear when the option to pay with Bitcoins becomes available for the public, but this confirms that they are at least very interested in the crypto currency, and willing to integrate it into their website. If the company currently holds Bitcoins or is actively buying them is unclear. Last year a former Facebook executive said in an interview that he had BTC & had invested a lot in it. He even went as far as calling it a “Gold 2.0″.

This story may be false, but we will follow it and see if anyone can confirm or discard it.

Oh, you mean that bronze age guy that was tortured on some sort of two sticks nailed together device.

PS.  That was a long time ago, before printing presses and science and all sorts of human development.  Best get up to speed my friend - you are living in the ancient fossilized past.  The human race has progressed what, 2000+ years since then?

I suggest you submit your Stonehenge era ideas where they are more appreciated.  The rest of us have moved on and left that time period in the dust along with trilobites, T Rex, and Noah's flood.

ok we can't go back...to the dark age(before 1930) Cheesy ... but but we can do that   moving from cryptocurrency(likebitcoin)--->cryptomoney(like e-gold)
so purchasing money(gold+silver) still a good idea...isn't it

340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Goldman Sachs Director to Join Board of Bitcoin Startup Circle on: December 28, 2013, 04:49:55 PM
Goldman Sachs board member M. Michele Burns is joining the board of new bitcoin payment processor Circle Internet Financial, becoming the latest representative from the worlds of big finance and investing to show an interest in digital currency.

The move represents a possible greater acceptance of bitcoin in the US in the financial mainstream, at a time when other large countries are attempting to block or caution against its use.
