321  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Monitor multiple pools - www.btc-poolwatch.com on: June 24, 2011, 12:49:30 AM
Great project!  Could be expanded to storing username/password, tokenid and email alert.  This will be one stop for all pool mining!
322  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BTC Guild Monitor - Google Chrome Extension (repost) on: June 23, 2011, 11:48:05 PM
This is really cool.  Could you post the source code of your BTCGuild-Status?  Is it written in PHP?  I'm trying to build out something similar so I can check a single web page on my Blackberry without all the gimmicks.

Much appreciated.
323  Bitcoin / Mining support / BTC Guild API Access (Custom Page, php?!) on: June 23, 2011, 11:35:45 PM
Can anyone share a code snippet for BTC Guild pooled mining?  The snippet can be as simple as worker name and worker speed.

I can't seem to use my work computer/network access BTC Guild anymore... it's now classified as "High Risk".  Undecided

326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm ALL in! on: June 20, 2011, 11:33:39 PM
We are all here for one reason or another.  Undoubtedly we like what we see in Bitcoins.  Don't put all your eggs in one basket, buddy.  If Bitcoins were made to be illegal through legislation, thing can go out of control real fast.  Stay vigilant. Cool

Just like the Chilean miners, he needs a good rescue.  First step, get back his school work.  Grin

You can demo your pitch speech/presentation here through a screencast recording, and we can provide critiques.  Just another thought.
330  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: How to turn $1.5k in to a potential $3 Million on: June 18, 2011, 07:45:56 PM
Hey guys, this stunt has been pulled many times before.  Remember back in the day when you flip through news papers and you have a small ad saying "Get Rich Quick!"?  All you have to do is send 5 bucks to a PO box.

A couple weeks later, you get a letter back saying the Get Rich Quick scheme is to advertise in a news paper and ask for 5 dollars for getting rich.

Folks, I'm seeing more and more people spend so much time and energy in these drivels.  I really really hope you lots could turn your energy around into productive assets, i.e. starting a small business around BTC, get existing businesses to accept BTC, innovate mining techniques and soooo on.

Use your brain and get rich, not pulling stunts on each other like vampires.

FFS!

331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Check md5sum before running bitcoin on: June 18, 2011, 07:15:14 PM
Good idea.

This should be a built-in feature for the default client before it runs.  My angel is coming from ordinary moms and pops running windows.  For BTC to take off, we really need more involvement from the general public.

To the webmaster, I suggest putting we accept BTC logo on the homepage, a little bit more visible to boost the customer traffic.  It would definitely help.

334  Economy / Economics / Re: Trading or mining? That is the question.. on: June 18, 2011, 06:08:58 PM
Most early miners will still mine; new comers are very likely to trade unless they have a significant capital infusion and looking out for the loooong term return.  Another round of difficulty is going up in 9 days, folks!

As in, mining on iPhones?  LuLZ!  Grin
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think lulzsec will target Bitcoin? on: June 18, 2011, 05:47:53 PM
The Bitcoin white paper says it is more profitable to mine/start a business around BTC than to hack it.  As one can only do so little, i.e. retract his most recent transaction if the chain is hacked.

Also, LulzSec is getting a lot of donation in Bitcoins as well, it is in their incentive to promote BTC, not putting a wretch into the grinding wheels of justice (that's how I see BTC. Smiley)

Thanks Rearwheels, I was thinking exactly the same thing.  I have 6990 miner machine and it is very power hungry.

Nice choice, it's a good brand from my experience.

Thanks again, buddy!   Grin
