322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quark coin why? on: December 14, 2013, 11:52:09 PM
Hi there,
I am mining qrk and i having about 40 qrk now... i know it is funny quantity as i see what is going on on cryptsy, but i wonder if it still worth it mining this coin ( getting about 3 - 5 coins per day in a pool ) ? Any sugestions if it goings to prosper as bunch of people saying so...
It's always worth it to mine. If these coins go to $100 one day, you could look at it as making $300-$500 per day.

In the crypto world anything is possible, and anyone who says they can "predict" the next move that any one of these different alt currencies will take is a fool.

Want to get rich? Make a Quark exchange that works properly! It's volume will make you rich.

Already working on one myself.

OP, you are a fucking idiot.
+1 CoinHumper is an SA troll that has no foundational understanding of how Cryptos actually work.

I've had problems with Cryptsy, they've responded to all my tickets, and are working diligently to get everything working where it needs to be.

People like CH have no class, and do not belong in this high risk space.

V12
This is more a tweak of the original bringing in the green to balance out the red and blue these 3 colours generally appear on most of the  "quark" diagrams I've seen. The colours pop slightly more so still looks good in small scale this logo is completely .svg format so is entirely scalable with minimal gloss, shadows etc.

Sharper res.

like it, it looks clean - if we look at the original but it had no green - so i was wondering why it looked "Christmas"  i think we need the lose the Green ? pretty much altogether ?
I'm not going to lie, I never would have expected the original logo to look so good when recreated...

I think different color combinations should be tried.

Max we need a technical white paper that people can reference to.

Any thoughts on when this can be released?

330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should BTC-E Add SRC to Their Currency Lineup? on: December 04, 2013, 08:59:24 PM
This poll was added to counter the Quark coin poll added.
I would rather see SRC added than QRK to btc-e myself and hope you all would vote on this with me.

This is the ANN topic for SRC.. Please read the first post.. then vote.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=270852.0

It's not that i think Quark is a bad coin i just think Securecoin is better and should be added before QRK *if at all..

http://securecoin.org/

Thanks for your vote(s)

Why ?

QRK is the innovator.

Don't get me wrong I own both.

Why SRC over QRK?

Can we get an option for "both"

334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Quark and Bitcoin on: December 04, 2013, 01:50:56 PM
1. Quark is 20 times faster at confirmation compared to Bitcoin
2. Quark is more secure because it has 9 rounds of hashing from 6 hashing functions, rather than a single Hash function.
3. 10 times more Quarks are available compared to bitcoins. .i.e. 247 million quarks.
4. Quarks cant be mined with ASIC or any special hardwares but with CPU only. This gives the power back to PEOPLE not big companies.

New Altcoins are being created almost everyday but this one seems to be little different.
Quark has been endorsed by Bill Still and looks like a very promising Altcoin. Mostly because , its more decentralized and fast.
Anyone tried it?
Let me know what you guys think.

All i can see and say is QUAK , QUAK QUAK!
1) Premined.
Nothing more to say.
Premined?

What are you talking about ?

QRK had a fair launch…. There is no pre mine!

Please stop spreading disinformation….
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At just $1, QUARK will be #3 on the planet on: December 04, 2013, 09:33:33 AM
IDK why it matters what the domain is..

As far as I know Quark is a 100% open source and free licensed.

336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 04, 2013, 09:24:36 AM
Just mined 1 Quark on my CPU. Should I continue mining or should I just purchase them with BTC and just flip them?

Same here. I think I am gonna quit mining QRK. I feel it is kinda surreal when at the start at this thread people mined about 100k coins (Mind you, that is 12 BTC at 0.00012, that is $12.000!) in a matter of minutes while it took me 24 hour to get a whopping 7 QRK.
Meh thats crypto Cheesy…..

I myself mined 0 QRK. Every single one of them has been bought, at all different peaks and valleys too..

Try buying some coins, it may really enhance your experience…
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: December 04, 2013, 09:14:17 AM
We're fixing some things on this still, but here's a working beta version that I think a lot of people reading this thread will appreciate.

More updates soon to come… http://quarkexplorer.com
