321  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: No payout ever received with p2pool? on: April 11, 2014, 08:17:22 PM
I've tried p2p doge and I like it.  But my biggest problem is deadhash rate is high.  I have over 10% dead hash rate.  out of 7 mh/s, 1mh is dead.  I've seen people mine with 9MH/s and have almost 0 dead.

I've tried adding my own difficulties at the end of the address as some suggested.  address+0.01 and different numbers, but nothing works. Always the same.

I'm using gridseeds, 20 of them.  Each 10 on a PI.  And using Hashra Controla, so other than just adding difficulty, I have not other control.

Anyone can suggest something to do??

I would really appreciate it.

Prolly being biased, but you guys should switch to Lightningasic firmware, we now have an auto-overclocking feature that will overclock each individual chip (5 chips per Gridseed miner). Also the reject rate is close to 0, I've been getting 99.91% accepted running over 24 hours at Ghash.io.

I read your posts in the other threads about this.  I know you seem to be promoting it for some reason or another.  If it does individual chip overclocking, that's a good and neat feature.  I have that with my knc jupiter.  It's definitely a good feature.  But for now, I will stick with Hashra conrola until they fix things up. Simply because I'm not so good at doing thing like that.

I've tried to install scripta and failed. Will need to try again and probably will take me hours.
323  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HASHRA CONTROLA on: April 10, 2014, 05:54:49 AM
same here for coinshift.

but on p2p, I'm still having a hard time getting it down below 10-15%

I see some miners with 9Mh/s ++ with almost no rejection or doa and I have not idea how they do it.
324  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HASHRA CONTROLA on: April 10, 2014, 04:57:33 AM
He didn't really give me much info.  He apologized for that, but said that there will be a new image in the works that should be coming out soon.  I also bumped up the speed to 900 to see what happens.  But on a p2pool.  The rejects got less, but hardware errors were pilling up quick.

I still get hardware errors even at 850. But few.
325  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Gridseeds + P2Pool node setup on: April 10, 2014, 03:02:00 AM
I followed a tutorial in this forum and also on litecointalk.  But wasn't lucky to get it working.

I want to run it on win8.
326  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HASHRA CONTROLA on: April 10, 2014, 02:59:39 AM
I've been running at 850. So far coinshift has been pretty good to me. Rejects are higher than I'd like, but I'm not sure if it's the pool, hashra's controlla, or the asics themselves.

On one set of 10 my rejects are over 8% on coinshift. The other 10 are less than 2% !!  I also don't know what I can do to lower the rejects.  But from trying them on other pools such as dogehouse, p2p, they have also higher than normal rejects compared to gpus.

Simon says the bfgminer wasn't intended for the gridseeds.  And he said that they will be releasing a whole new image to try to make it more stable and better.
327  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HASHRA CONTROLA on: April 07, 2014, 05:38:44 PM
I'm running the latest firmware which allows you to manually change when or if it auto restarts.  I ran over the weekend for about 36 hours straight mining at coinshift and had 25 HW errors on one set of 10 miners and 32 on the other set of 10.

I really wish I could individually set frequency per miner.  I've been contemplating buying a TP controller and trying the lightning asic firmware because they include that feature AND failover control.

Where you running @850Mhz or 800 ??

How do you find coinshift so far?
328  Bitcoin / Mining support / Gridseeds + P2Pool node setup on: April 07, 2014, 05:24:02 PM
Anyone has setup a p2pool node and using gridseeds to mine?  I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a hand setting up a node.  I'm having trouble following the steps.

Thanks.
329  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HASHRA CONTROLA on: April 07, 2014, 04:48:46 PM
Hashra controla 1.3 and 1.3.3 are still not stable.  @ 850Mhz, I'm still getting hardware errors!!
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed Miner Support/Tuning on: April 04, 2014, 02:31:49 PM
i have updated to hashra v1.3 yet the old pool settings remain. tried reboot and restart but unable to update from the old pool address?

I also updated last night to the 1.3 Hashra controla

And it sucks!!

I lost 10 miners because it will not log into the server.  Only 10 on the other IP address are working fine.

More hardware errors @ 800 Mhz now. Was no hardware errors at that setting.  So not better that way.

Only thing I see is a modification to the interface.  Which is not exactly helpful to us.

331  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: I'm offering payments to the first miners to try my new bitcoin P2Pool Pool on: April 03, 2014, 07:00:39 PM
I did see the graph drop and back up. Before I saw your message.  I'm on your node for now.  Like I said earler, I liked p2p on the doge side and wanted to give it a try for the BTC.  Will be there until weekend to see what the aprox revenue that comes out of it. But I tell you, the last day before I got on your node, Ghash.io had a great day... I made as much as I usually make in 2 days.

Hope it's better and for the long run.  If you have an email, it would be nice to pm me your address so that we could communicate better.

332  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: I'm offering payments to the first miners to try my new bitcoin P2Pool Pool on: April 03, 2014, 03:57:01 AM
I pointed my Jupiter at your pool. Will test it for 48 hours as you recommended.  BUT, I would like to see the charge fee lower. More like 0.5-1% as there are closer nodes to me that offer that. I wanted to try it out because I've had good luck with gridseeds on p2p dogecoin.

good luck to us...
333  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: I'm offering payments to the first miners to try my new bitcoin P2Pool Pool on: April 03, 2014, 01:50:49 AM
I sent 80 GH/s your way around 6pm Toronto time.  Then I dropped it to 40 because 10 of my gridseeds were not working well in dual mode.  I kept the other 10 on your node. 40GH/s, but I see the graph not showing me as ON!!

Thats my address.  I would like to direct my jupiter too, but I want to make sure things are going smooth.
334  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: I'm offering payments to the first miners to try my new bitcoin P2Pool Pool on: April 02, 2014, 09:05:27 PM
Hi,

I have a Jupiter with 750 GH/s steady speed.  I've been mining only for a month, so I'm new.  Tried BTCguild on PPS for over a week then he decided to stop pps. Switched to Ghash.io and been mining stead with them.

I would like to try P2P mining and I'm not sure what to expect.  I know that it has high variance. So one day I might not make anything and the other I might make much more than the traditional pool.

I don't mind giving you a try.  I want to know where is the node located?  I hear that the closer the node, the better my hashrate is.  Is this true?  I'm in Ontario, Canada and I know there are p2pools close but I haven't tried anything yet.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / P2Pool Share Difficulty Help on: April 01, 2014, 03:43:36 PM
Sorry guys, I tried finding info but not able to either understand it properly or I'm missing something.

here is the problem.

I decided to mine on P2pool but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to calculate the share difficulty so that I could add it to my setup.  I've read that I add that number after my coin(wallet) address.

Here's the example.

Auroracoin:
P2PHash has on the site, share difficulty of 0.01

What equation do I use if I am using gridseed.  each is doing 362 KH/s @ 850MHz.

Also I have 10 gridseeds on each PI, so do I calculate based on the total hash output as in 3620 KH/s or individual miners?

Same goes for Dogecoin pool.

P2Pool says share difficulty is 1.83

I want to understand what these numbers represent and how I can calculate what number to put for my setup.

Many thanks

I came across clevermining after I got my gridseed miners.  I wanted to get them going on a good pool and multicoin pools were poping up like crazy.  After doing some reading and checking around I came across the pool.  The interface was by far the best I've seen.  Which got me hooked.  I started mining there.  After 24 hours of mining I realized that my rejection rate was high!! Checked with the forum and realized that others had the same thing.  Mind you, if you look back at this thread and at ridit, that's all you'll read about.  "high reject".

Terk tries to do his best and I can see that he replies to most requests.  Aside from the drama that has been going on for the past 2 days between the members, there was no reason to have some expert members voice their concerns and share technical information with Terk. As I am an armature still at mining.

While all this was happening, I looked at other alternatives. coinshift got my attention.  I looked to compare both pools.  I liked the idea of coinshift and the explaination of the pool towards the crypto currency health.

Here is a compairason between the 2 pools as of now:

Clevermining: 22,708.9 MH/s
Coinshitf: 2185.122 MH/s

Profit 24H outlook
Clevermining: 0.00511 BTC/day/MH
Coinshift: 0.00558

It's clearly that Coinshit with such a small percentage of Hash power is doing something wright to get a good return.  The pay is as low as 0.001 instead of 0.01 and its done without any issues.

I like Clevermining, but until these issues are sorted out and I can mine without having to keep looking and checking every hour, Coinshift deserves the hash power for now.

Is the doge to vert working?
338  Bitcoin / Mining support / HASHRA CONTROLA on: March 29, 2014, 08:44:50 PM
I can't seem to find a thread regarding this anywhere.  Just people mentioning it here and there. Perhaps all miner who are using it could share some info.

I'm using firmware 1.2.7

I can't seem to understand what are the updates are really updating so that I could keep and eye on things!!  Hashra is rolling updates for their firmware but with no info!!

I've also noticed that at 850Mhz, I'm getting hardware errors on one set of 10 gridseeds, much less on the other set of 10!!

Anyone could share some thoughts?

I've also tried to mine in both scrypt and SHA, but for some reason, it goes offline Sad  NOT very stable yet.  Has anyone tried it yet?

To everyone experiencing very high rejected ratio in the last two days.

I am working on investigating this issue. This is likely because of some change which I made yesterday plus your worker ignoring clear-jobs: false parameter in the work which is sent to it.

If you experience this issue, please write what software do you use for mining - exact name and version.

Mining Session Overview (03 hrs 57 mins 19 seconds )
3.667 Mh/s current hashrate 3.616 Mh/s avg hashrate in last 5m 624 / 1111 Acc./Rej.
178.04 % rejection rate
0.053 Work utility

very high reject rate. still... after 4 hours of mining...
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 28, 2014, 05:07:13 PM
Terk,

I like your pool.  It would be nice to see payments sent out daily regardless of the balance. I see no reason why some have to wait until 0.01BTC to get an auto payment.  The once a week payment that rolls out for people less than that balance is sometimes faulty.

Please give it a considerations.
