from november 30 the blocking of tor traffic by isp in the russian federation is expected.
we should take this into account and develop response measures.
It's impossible because any russian citizen can buy VPN access from anywhere in the world, where Russian law does not apply. Short of blocking every IP address outside of Russia, I don't see how this could be effective, the VPN traffic looks just like HTTPS. DeepOnion can't and won't be stopped by these types of rules. |

Indeed price went down probably some dropped.
But most are holding, short term price does not matter much.
I think those who sold more than 10% will not get next airdrop...
I agree as the people that are not HODLING start getting dropped off the airdrop only HODLers will be left causing the price to stabilize. Then after air drop finishes price will sky rocket. Right now the main thing is to spread the word in any way we can. Also everyone keep in mind this is just a few weeks old. Even bitcoin had times when it was real low priced at the beginning and now it skyrocketed. Lots of new features and redesigns also coming into place thanks to the dev team and community so this is just the beginning of a bright future in my eyes. |

The planned update of the official DO forum is very interesting. Would be nice if the escrow could be used for buying/selling of Onions for BTC or other coins. This would be a good alternative in case of problems with exchanges where DO is listed. And also a great place for OTC trading of Onions without impact on market price (might be interesting e.g. for those who would like to sell 10 % of the airdrop without causing decrease of market price by this).
Why not, DO forum plan to insure escrows up to the ONION donation amount. It is like smart contracts or Deepsend functionality, escrow trust forum and we trust escrow and you as buyer or seller both trust escrow and forum. If one fails in completing the cycle other one cover the fee as guarantor and complete cycle. But you should not trust escrow more than escrow trusted the forum. I hope it's clearer? Thank you for your reply with further details. I like this "insurance" concept. I understand that if the escrow gives donation amount of 100 Onions, I should not use such escrow for trades of more than 100 Onions in order to be safe and insured. But how will I know the donation amount which escrow gave to the forum? Will it be always 100 Onions or can it be more or less? Also if the escrow person acts as an escrow for more trades (or even for 1 big trade), he can easily go above this insured amount, will this be somehow monitored? Will be the current "insured" limit visible to the buyer/seller? Sorry for so many questions, but I am really interested in this concept. small update from the community forum: almost 100 active miners now!! miners seem to find more and more trust in this coin, even though prices have been not as good as in the past, the mining community keeps growning every day. Network hash geting close to 700 GHS as well!! Do your remember the early days, where you could get some nice amount of onions with just a small GPU?! Are you sure it's a real 100? When I was trying to mine there they had like 10 or 15.. as soon as it became most profitable coin to mine the pool profitability script switched a crapload of miners and it was ludicrous. Would be good if it's a real 100 though. The number is correct, but there are some profit switching miners as well... Pool hash is more or less stable at 230 GHS and 86 miners and jumps to 330 and 98 miners when profitability goes up. Those numbers were much lower a week ago. Interest from the miners is growing into DeepOnion for sure!  It's a x13 algo so that means you pretty much can only profit using a ASIC/BAIKAL type setup right? I've got a bunch of GPU's that aren't really mining anything profitable at the moment. I wonder if I should switch to DeepOnion mining. This is great news indeed CS! Unfortunately I suspect those who have deposited funds to Bitzure have lost them altogether however... I missed what happened with Bitzure. Was it a shady exchange and they were stealing people's onions? They outright robbed a slew of people who were trying to buy onions. Shame. One guy lost upwards of $5k I read earlier this morning that this one guy's friend sent 4 BTC over there last night. That's rough. I forgot the coin and the exchange, but I once saw that one exchange was selling a particular coin very cheaply, and I seriously consider of taking advantage of that incredible opportunity. I could make a lot of money. I did not want to kick myself for not taking advantage of it later on, and I needed to do it as soon as possible before the opportunity passed. But I Google the exchange, and though it seemed to work for many people, for many others they had their coins stuck there, with support not responding to their email for weeks. And I thought, don't be greedy, it's not worth it. And that's the part that people have to understand in crypto, to not let their emotions, fear of missing out get the upper hand. That's really what ruin many people. I'm glad you didnt get scammed by Bitzure. Lots of people lost alot with them. If you want to purchase onions you can do so safely at novaexchange.com. But what I am still not so sure about is the implication of using business outlets to buy products with your onions - for me this point does not seem to consistent as this is a thing I would rather do with eth or btc - why exactly do you want to go that path? Online shopping stores is one of the most important factors for DeepOnion. Several online stores would prefer to use Deeponion payment method over bitcoin as bitcoin is not 100% anonymous and can be traced back to the source. In the other hand DeepOnion is anonymous and untraceable. In the next 2 weeks I will be creating plugins for WooCommece, Shopify, volusion, Magento and more so people can start accepting Onions as payment method on their online stores.
