321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey Bitcoiners Choose Simplicity Over Complex Technicalities on: October 20, 2023, 03:05:01 PM
An example of keeping things simple is that instead of storing your Bitcoin in a multi signature wallet that you do not understand how it works or have no experience in setting up, store your Bitcoin in a soft like Electrum wallet where the process of setting up is pretty straight forward.
Storing your Bitcoin in multi signature wallet is actually not too complicated. I think if you don't have the ability to assimilate simple things like this then I fear in general for the person's safety in crypto-currency. But out of preference and not complexity I use electrum because it has been what I started with and it's work fine for me.

I believe it's all about individual preferences, how I would choose to save my seed phrase may be different from how you would choose to save your and so is the same with how I choose to save my Bitcoin. But this factors should not be overlooked and that's it must be safe, easy for you to access and private to other people.
322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you Think is the Right Advice to Give to this Young Chap? on: October 19, 2023, 07:14:29 PM
Well firstly you need to know the importance of the precious metal is to their family before you can do anything. The reason is because the precious metal has been passed down from generation to generation in his family so if the previous generations did not sell then their should be a reason.

Investing now in Bitcoin because of the coming Bitcoin halving to me is a desperate move, one Which is born because you believe you must make profits. But Bitcoin is volatile and nothing is guaranteed in terms of return on investment. I think in your class you should teach more about Bitcoin financial system advantages more than the investment purposes .
323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 19, 2023, 05:47:26 PM
Hey guys with the recent play in Spanish la Liga which team right now do you think is going to win the Spanish la Liga. In terms of playing real Madrid and Athletico Madrid has been doing very well this period. And although Barcelona has not been doing too badly I think they don't have a chance currently but they may still pick form before the season runs out.

But right now I would say real Madrid has been the best team and they have the players that would really help them win the league. They also have the Coach to really also do well in the league and also in the UEFA champions league
324  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CERTIFICATE CRISIS AMONGST NIGERIAN POLITICIANS on: October 19, 2023, 04:29:06 PM
Well I would say nothing in Nigeria is genuine any more, I actually don't expect much from this politicians any more they have built their personalities on lies right from their debate and campaigns they say what the no go ever do.

The certificate case like I have talked about it in my previous started post is not only an issue in the country it's an international issues that can cause negative impact on the citizens of the country in the international scenes.
325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can the government acquire all bitcoins either by seizure or purchase? on: October 18, 2023, 08:26:56 PM
Yes this can happen if everyone holding Bitcoin decide that they would sell to the government then that is the only way the government can acquire all the whole Bitcoin
Bitcoin is decentralized so the government can order people to give them their Bitcoin that why some people choose crypto-currency over the traditional financial where the government can freeze someone account which is super unfair.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: October 18, 2023, 07:32:40 PM
I was recounting Manchester United chances of qualifying from the group stage in this season's champions League and honestly the chances of Manchester United is very slim. I do not really understand what is wrong with Manchester United and what really happened to them. Honestly, Manchester United showed strength and commitment in the match against Bayern Munich much they didn't do their best in the match against Galatasary.

It is likely that Manchester United will go empty handed this season. This is because they will go to the Europa League and in the Europa League, there is Liverpool already there waiting to be the champions.
You are correct Manchester united has started this year's UEFA champions league very badly. Losing to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray, this was a group that should have ended with Bayern Munich and Manchester united qualifying but right now Galatasaray has a better chance than them although it's too early to judge, they now have to seriously face their upcoming games and hope they win all then they would have a great chance .
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 18, 2023, 06:18:01 PM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?
Well what I am familiar is that many people that lose much has also had time they won big that's gambling, they aren't stupid people. Gambling goes both ways and not just gambling also investing and trading has this type of people.
Gambling is an activity but should not cause anyone get addicted to it. I have lost in gambling but also I have won so I don't see why I should not continue in it .
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Magical Is The Magic Money ? - Bitcoin on: October 16, 2023, 07:39:37 PM

Is there anything more interesting than becoming your own bank, approving your own transactions and also enjoying both the positive and the negative price aspect of the currency ?. What more can be magical than this ?.

It's not magic money it's digital money and yes it offers individual a unique and better option than the traditional financial system, but with great power which crypto-currency offers comes great responsibilities.

Being in charge of your finances means you also take the blow when it doesn't go too well that is why you need to also learn to prioritise safety and security while in crypto-currency. The usual advice is getting your own wallet, cross checking before making an transactions, using the right exchanges to buy or sell, trade, protecting your device with additional protection aside your private key like 2FA factor and being security conscious.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? Selling all or not on: October 16, 2023, 06:42:03 PM
Have seen a lot of threads talking about the bull market, and everyone making comments.
I don't think selling all bitcoin in the bull market is a good idea. Why? Knowing the fact that the next bull price will still come as bitcoin continues to grow, so I don't think selling all my bitcoin in the bull market is the best.
Everyone is holdle bitcoin in the bear market and planning to sell in the bull market, now, when finally, the bull market  comes should I sell all my bitcoins and prepare to accumulate from afresh in the next bear market again? or should I keep some percentage to continue the accumulation?
Well investors would be investors and if you are also looking at it from an investor's perspective then you should not tell them what to do. I am a Bitcoin enthusiast and personally I don't save Bitcoin just to sell it off in the next bull run. But as an investor you don't know how long they have been holding their Bitcoin some can go far back as the previous bull run or the one before that, so if they have achieved their goal regardless of the fact that there would be another bull run, they can definitely sell off and most time they buy again at another higher price .

I don't understand the cycle of selling off only to start again. Well we all have our financial goals so if this works for them then it's fine.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 16, 2023, 06:05:28 PM
I remember there were several players who deliberately did not play at their best because they didn't like the coach. They played so badly that the coach was sacked for poor performance, it worked and I really wonder if that scenario was thought of by a handful of Manchester United players?
In this situation the manager still has to be sacked cause they have lost control of the dressing room already. Managers have a role to keep the team playing in synergy and all players playing to their top potential, if they cannot do that, the owners cannot change the entire squad cause of the coach and will opt to change the manager instead and remove one or two problematic players.

- Jay -
Some players are very stubborn despite their talents they are very bad examples to the dressing room, back in the days the best manager to handle such players was Sir Alex Ferguson. He was not a respecter of status or class. He had axed lots of top player that were toxic for the team.

Right now Pep Guardiola is such coach we have seen what he did with cancelo. I believe every coach should know when a player is bringing bad energy into his team and when to cut them off immediately before the player influences other players.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logan Paul Vs Dillon Dannis and KSI vs Tommy Fury Today! Oct 14th on: October 16, 2023, 03:47:04 PM
I believe now that Tommy fury is either a very poor boxer or the whole thing is just a scam. Watching Tommy fury the Younger brother to Tyson fury I can say he wasn't meant to be a boxer but like he said after his fight he had to take care of his family and this boxing thing is amongst what her does.

KSI who is a YouTuber has very bad boxing skills, no leg work or any good technicalities he was throwing punches like an amateur that he is what is sad is that he went the distance with Tommy who should be the real boxer.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 16, 2023, 02:24:04 PM
Messi wanted more what his family needed and in the end he chose to enjoy life in MLS.
The reason for Messi choosing inter Miami and going to the MLS from the French league is more than just for family reasons. Yes Messi appreciates the interest of his family and Miami is a heaven for Spanish speaking people regardless there is more to this decision.

Leonel Messi would have earned far more in the Saudi Arabia, if he had chosen there but it will all end after his contract which at his age is very short. Rather Messi who already has a secured financial future still made a deal that would keep him earning for a longer time even after he leaves football, I think in the long run Messi made a better decision.
333  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Simple Yet Powerful Message That Will Always Hold True on: October 15, 2023, 05:13:52 PM
To be honest if you want to be a crypto-currency enthusiast for a long time then I would say stick with Bitcoin especially if you are the type that can't handle losses. From experience those who are only involved with Bitcoin has lesser risk (not saying the risk is non existence) than those who goes in to other altcoins, projects, platforms.

Yes altcoins may hold opportunities investor yarns for and for a cheap price but the days of ICO or the days of when any shit altcoins was profitable are gone. Bitcoin has all the features to remain ever solid, the only issue holding Bitcoin is holding it properly against hackers, scammers or your own personal incompetence.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 15, 2023, 04:40:30 PM

Indeed, there is also a point, that after the Messi and Ronaldo era ended in the El Clasico match, at least that factor made the El Clasico match no longer have great appeal. But yes, considering Real Madrid and Barcelona at this moment at least have strengths that are not much different. Then of course, with that factor at least the El Clasico match this season will be more interesting than last season and or in the previous few seasons. But considering the number of conceded so far experienced by Barcelona, at least Barcelona defense has decreased at this moment. Because after all, the fact is that last season Barcelona was the team that conceded the least number of conceded until finally Barcelona won the La Liga trophy last season.
I think you guys are getting it all wrong the Elclasico has always been big even before Cristiano Ronaldo and Leonel Messi both reached their prime. The Elclasico has always been an important fixture in the Spanish La liga season. This is bigger than the player, it's a rivalry that would always be big any day any time. Yes Ronaldo and Messi gave it more appeal from neutral fans (non real Madrid or Barcelona fan) but anyone who is a core fan of both team or a strong follower of football would always anticipate this fixture.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Distinguishing Between Bitcoin Halving And Crypto Burn on: October 15, 2023, 04:09:03 PM
Take a note, coin/token burning is temporary, while Bitcoin halving is always be like that and it's impossible to be changed. Since burning is temporary, it's really easy for the developer to mint new coin/token and add it into the circulation.

I'd say if the coin/token isn't a stablecoin, coin/token burning has nothing to achieve except the developer want to manipulate the market.
Also crypto burns will affect the project whose burning their coin but hardly would it affect the crypto-currency market in general unlike Bitcoin halving that takes four years but still has been highly anticipated by the crypto-currency world since the last one happened going to this one taking place next year. The Bitcoin halving comes with it high hopes of the crypto bull run and the FOMO is usually high at this time.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: October 14, 2023, 07:26:43 PM
The msot interesting think about Messi and Ronaldo is they still ahve all the focus, the new generation is fantastic and we can see Mbappe or Haaland taking the palce of them, but in the end i dont see in both of them the same glow, Ronaldo and Messi were diferent, and they have much more rivalry in the pitch.
I don't think there would be any player like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for a long time, if you look at Cristiano Ronaldo come up, he has always been a good player but he got to god status when he moved to Real Madrid and they club built the team around him and same thing with Leonel Messi, Barcelona built the team around him and this increased their confidence and also their global image.

In present day football is hard to see a team built around one player. Now many other players in teams also want that same recognition and also coaches wants to be seen as the reason for the club's success so except we have a very good player in a team with amazing players and a good coach that has agreed to build the team around a player .
337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin In Bullish or Bearish Trend? on: October 14, 2023, 05:47:41 PM
I believe that it is in neither trend right now. People think that these trends of bull or bear meaning the price, but it means the direction not the price. SO a lot of people do not realize that no matter how much a price drop happens or a price increase happens, if the price stays flat for a long time then it is none of them.
I get your point mate and it makes sense this is how I paint it. before a price can be considered flat what was the market prior to that. Let's say Bitcoin start rising to $40 we would say that the bull market is on and let's say at the market fluctuate around $35k-$45k the market is still maintaining if the resistance breaks lower I think it can be considered a bear market trend and is the resistance breaks high then the bull run may have just kicked off again
338  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: October 14, 2023, 04:38:38 PM
My question to you OP is that if a random person comes to you seeking for loan and has no collateral just plainly wants you to give him a loan and he tell you when he would repay you, would you give this person the loan? I highly doubt if you would.

Lending money to people is a risky business and to mitigate your risks you have to go the extra mile in knowing more about this person you want to give your loan to, so I don't see any issue with that. Before you go applying for loan you have to give some information about yourself and still you have to be of good records, if you don't like that then avoid taking loans.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 14, 2023, 03:46:08 PM

Girona has not met a strong team other than Madrid. So in 9 matches they tried to get points consistently in every match they were able to get. I think that's also a good result, but there's no need to exaggerate Girona's performance to compete for the La Liga trophy.
The season is still long and Girona's struggle will still be very long. I hope they can still be consistent in getting points, even though the competition will be tight, but by them showing the best they have in the team, then that is enough to prove the development of the quality of their game.
Last season Girona where considered a small team, they weren't really a team you would place in the top when in comes to the Spanish La liga ranking so I don't think considering their Caliber you should talk about strong team or weak team.

Any team Girona faces in the Spanish La liga is always going to be a hard game for them but so far they have been able to hold their own and I think they deserve the praises and recognition they are getting although I think as the matches goes on their top player start getting weak and injuries I don't think they would be as hot as they are now that where the quality of depth a team has comes in and Girona doesn't have that.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency a financial pyramid on: October 13, 2023, 08:17:48 PM
They likely didn’t get Bitcoin right.

Bitcoin doesn’t need increasingly more demand to get a larger price. Scarce supply plays a huge role in the middle of all this. Supply gets more scarce, miners keep mining, price needs an increase for mining to continue to be worth it.
The demand and supply is like a chain they both work hand in hand to affect the price of any coin. If there is a high demand and high supply the price may not be influenced that much there has to be a high demand and a lower supply to the demand for the price to go up and vice versa for the price to go down.
And OP speaking of financial pyramid, I think you should be more elaborate because it's hardly relate to the body of the post. Bitcoin is a digital asset but some schemes has found a way to take the interest of people to the scam called Ponzi or pyramid scheme.
