321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICX give 2x in this month? on: April 12, 2021, 11:52:51 AM
You can earn more if you invest in BNB, there is nothing more bullish in altcoins league like BNB lately, for the fact that BSC solves high gas fee that's affecting Ethereum BNb keeps surging and surging, I've never seen something this strongly bullish before, I believe 1000$ per BNb is possible
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New to mining. Setting up new rig and need help. on: April 11, 2021, 11:23:56 AM
You don't have to use that SATA cable that comes with the riser, just use molex or 6pin cable from powersupply, they can power riser itself too, you will need good powersupply that have numbers of extensions 6pin and 8pins if you don't want to use molex, you are only planning to run 3 GPUs I don't see any reason why molex isn't a good choice here
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining on: April 11, 2021, 11:19:38 AM
Hi guys,

For a month now i am mining Monero (CPU only). GPUs (4 rigs) i am using to mine ETH.
I started it as a test and left it since then. Just realized how non-profitable it is Smiley

Is there anything better that you could suggest mining using CPU at this time.

Mining with CPU depends on what CPU you have, if it's not AMD Ryzen or Threadripper just forget it and these CPUs costs over 1000$+, even the Threadripper is over 2000+ so can you see the error using CPU for mining? You will be spending more for little gains, Not worth it
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dump just after a new listing? on: April 11, 2021, 11:17:07 AM
I don't know why this is common with new projects these days, large investors who were able to buy during private sales just dump the tokens on traders immediately after the token gets listed on exchanges,it could be because the early investors are already in profit and they don't trust the project enough, that's why they dumped the tokens.
Every investors have their own part of crypto stories, most of them may have been victims of dump projects in the past so they won't hesitate to take any chance that becomes available with any new projects they invest money on
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 2700 hashrate too low on: April 10, 2021, 05:42:13 PM
RTX2700? Never heard of that card before, I only know RTX2070 and this card can do 36-42mh when mining ETH with the power draw of 123watts, power limit should be at 60%, you have to touch the core clock and memory, follow my lead using msi afterburner

Power limit 60%
Core clock  -502
Memory clock +750

Yes reduce the core clock to -502, this card works best this way and draw less power too
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Pools HELP on: April 10, 2021, 05:31:05 PM
I prefer pools with fixed high difficulty, the more you solve shares on a pool with high difficulty the better the end result will be for you, I suggest you keep using Viabtc pool and judge it after 24hrs of mining, then you will understand what I meant
Yes i agree reward chance gets higher but if you have high speed like 200-400mhs. but if he has 30mhs speed only pplns may ran very long for him.
Lol I'd just stick with Nicehash if 30MH is all I have, I think PPLNS pools are best for those who runs miners 24/7 none stop, that's why I don't use them, I prefer PPS pools because you can jump in anytime and exist any time too, you get paid for every shares you solve, things don't work like that on PPLNS
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: autotune zombie mode fail on: April 10, 2021, 05:18:51 PM
May I ask why you switched from hiveOS when it's the oy OS working for your 4gb graphic card? Is there anything you are trying to get by using minerstat OS instead? Use what works for you that's my best advice
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Power efficiency question on: April 09, 2021, 08:42:30 AM
Reading questions like these makes me wonder if these people did learn any basic physics at high school... Facepalm
Physics does not teach such knowledge. It is better to ask unclear questions from experienced miners.
Knowing physics will not help you choose a good power supply for your mining farm. You can buy the most expensive PSU, but this is not a guarantee of the best choice.
I can write you a list of power supplies, and if you are a Ph.D. in physics, you will not give good advice.
This knowledge can be gained from your mining experience or the experience of other miners.

You nailed it, what's physics have to do with selection of power supply for your mining farm? How many physics experts even know how to build mining rigs? Can they do it without google help or asking someone? I turned a freaking riser backward and got my gpu killed, why can't physics safe me from this? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You confirm my words. Some beginners damage their video cards in this way. You gain knowledge from your own experience, and your losses are your payment for experience.
Or you keep a close eye on those who have already made mistakes and teach other miners not to make similar mistakes.
You cannot service and repair mining farms if you are annoyed, hurry up, etc. Before turning on the mining farm, you need to check all connections and power cables.
That's why practical makes more sense than theory, every first experience will be different from what you imagined or read in the book, it's like learning how to shoot a gun in the book instead of visiting shooting range for practice lol, physics my foot 👣👣👣
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT are making more sense on: April 09, 2021, 08:25:56 AM
NFT will bring huge disaster to many in near future because they are too overpriced and many of them are less useful, they are created of nothing but useless hypes, the only useful NFT I know are in gaming NFT projects
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NFT are making more sense on: April 08, 2021, 08:57:06 AM
Note this is not a financial advice

NFT will be far more adopted than DeFi and yes I'm positive that it will be more successful than DeFi with the ways things are going right now, I'm no more hearing hypes about DeFi projects now and attentions have been shifted to NFT, do you think NFT are the real deal because the market cap of NFT will visibly surpass DeFi I believe, what do you have to say about this? Am I wrong or right in any way?
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash not withdrawing LTC for 15 Hours on: April 08, 2021, 08:31:43 AM
Now it is 36 hours nicehash did not payed money. Nothing happening, nothing resolving. Support is able to answer once per day. Any body did withdrawal LTC recently?
This is strange, I'm not mining LTC or withdrawing through LTC but BTC withdrawal still works the last time I tried, I will try withdrawing again or latest tomorrow to see if the payout will be processed, Nicehash team never share any news about any delay in payments I'm confused
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / No more new Proof of work algo coins ???? on: April 08, 2021, 08:25:24 AM
What happened to all online crypto mining calculators most especially about cryptonight coins? There are many in 2017-2018 when mining was profitable at that time, I knew dero and electroneum X this way, there are others too like turtle coin, graft, loki etc but today those websites are down, anyone know where I can see info about new PoW coins ?
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Strange increase in hashrate after changing powersupply on: April 07, 2021, 11:04:23 AM
That looks like some overclocking to me, changing power supply won't add more hashrate when mining, I've never heard of this before unless the powersupply is low for the mining rig e.g using 450 watts powerpack for 4 gpus which can lower performance
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Rugpull impossible? on: April 07, 2021, 10:42:23 AM
New projects are now coming up with ideas of saying 'rugpull safe' in their projects, most especially new DeFi and NFT projects, is this even possible or we are been fooled again? Because no matter what if the team decide to rugpull it will happen and there is no security interference that can stop this from happening, what do you have to say about this?
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Lowering power consumption as possible on: April 07, 2021, 10:15:02 AM
you have what you have.

I am running 24/7/365 day on solar/battery as well two rigs.

Regarding the I5, its just enough that  you go to advanced energy saving in windows, processor, and set the" Max level" down from 100 to 95. Windows automatically adjust the bios setting and your TDP will go down from 95 to 45w with no visible degradation. It like you purchased the Intel Low Power Core i5 4670T instead of the regular I5 4670 95W

On the memory: If windows need memory, it will create virtual memory on the SSD. By doing so, its consuming MORE power than the one needed for the memory itself.  So, removing 4 gb doesn't seem a good choice.

Last, I don't understand all the discussion about  GOLD,Platinum PSU.

My Psu isn't Platinum 90 %, its 100 %

Because are you sure you need a PSU ?
I have a small PSU for the motherboard but  I have a 12 V direct exit from my battery pack that I use to power the Gpus and the raisers.

It doesn't make sense to convert from DC To AC and then from AC to DC again.
Hi skablast I'm happy to find someone running miners on solar panel, not everyone are into this today and many who don't understand much about it discouraged others from buying solar panels to mine, can you please share the exact solar setup you using and how much power your mining rigs are consuming?
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best websites for finding ICO on: April 06, 2021, 10:54:41 AM
Icodrops mix good and bad projects together, if you are to use that platform make sure you sit tight and do intense research first, the safest one is polkastarter, I haven't seen a bad projects launching through polkastarter probably because of rules and regulations on the platform?
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: price of this on: April 06, 2021, 10:44:10 AM
3070 for 900eur is way too much for me, this is why I'm waiting for bear market to start buying better GPUs for mining, I'm running on solar power 24/7 and can't wait to build rigs at cheaper price in bear market, there is nothing better than buying at MSRP
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Finally something better than ETH mining? on: April 06, 2021, 10:42:04 AM
Since three days now I've noticed that Turtle coin (chukwa2 algorithm) and x17 algorithm on MRR pool are marginally more profitable than ethereum mining, anyone seeing this? Most especially that x17 algo, you can earn 5$ per card whereas 3$ per card on ethereum, that's freaking big enough

Scammers pumped it more than 100 times, reason is more profitable now. That is called a huge bulltrap, anybody buying it now will lose 10000000000000% in few weeks. It's not only that, there many scamcoins they are doing or have done the same. Do not buy any scamcoins if you want safety, stick with the top 20 coins and if you mine, then sell any payout you receive as fast as possible.
Who would mine turtle coin or other and HoDL? Isn't the smartest way of mining is changing to USDT every twenty four hours? This is what I do because I'm not sure the bullrun will last through out 2021 even while many believed it will, whatever coin you mining always change to stable coins instantly
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 33.1 MH is achievable on gtx1660 supers on: April 05, 2021, 09:32:55 AM
Gtx1660 super can do 33.1 MH unfortunately on the Samsung memory variants, if you have one here is the config

Core clock. -175
Memory clock. +1040
Power limit. 64%

If your gtx1660 super has hynix memory just lower the Cclock and Memory clock to the minimum

Core clock -502 memory clock -502, mind you this will give you 31.74 Max, the main reason for this post is for samsung memory gtx1660 super only..
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can i mine any coins whit hdd in 2021? on: April 05, 2021, 09:18:57 AM
I've seen lot of articles bout stuff like burstcoin, sia and more like that, and im curious bout is there any coins i can mine whit my hdds now in 2021? Huh
If anyone can help me i ll be so thankful Cheesy
Yes if you have many terabytes space available but mind you HDD aren't reliable too, they can die fast since you will be using them everyday, I don't see anyone still using this to make money in crypto space today

If you can find a new Proof of Capacity coin then quickly start mining with HDD before the difficultly rises, this is the only way to avoid using enormous amount of terabytes space
