I wish I had some Fiat left to buy moar +1 my average buy-in (across mining investments too) is at about 675.00. Lamenting the fact that I have spent all the fiat that I am comfortable to lose on BTC (~10,000); could have had so much more if I bought now. That being said, diversifying half my investment into mining, of which 75% is scrypt, should defray the loss opportunity on this low BTC as I will be profitable for another 4-5 months until KNC miner releases Titan. Meh, such are the varagies of the market, and my lack in ability of calling the bottom. I was actually convinced we'd be at 750 in a couple weeks from now. We all learn from our mistakes. There's no other way. Hang in there mate!

You bought Bitcoin and then you sold it.
So how exactly did it change your life?
Do you mean the FIAT you got out of Bitcoin transformed your life?
You have to be honest here.
Uh, yeah? I have to pay bills you know.

Please make sure they are educated on security. 2 factor login, encrypted wallets, backsups, cold storage.
Good idea. Thanks!

how easy is it to buy/sell btc in Pakistan (for someone who doesn't have an account in a foreign bank)?
How much (if anything) would you need to pay on top of say bitstamp rates (due to possibly larger spreads and/or fees for deposit/withdrawals)?
http://readygold.com/Rates--and--Fees.php Around 10% in fees if I want in my currency. But it's instant. I get it right away!

The title says it all. I don't come from a wealthy family and there's very little attention paid to Bitcoin in my country - Pakistan. But they witnessed the transformation Bitcoin caused in my life within a period of 7 months. I bought 100 BTC back then in July 2013 and sold 40% of them in December. It was very hard to convince them but I believe you can only educate the masses through consistency and setting an example of yourself.
Fast forward to 31st March, 2014: My sister bought 5 BTC. My parents bought 10 BTC. My relatives and a guy who works for me bought 4 BTC in total. Now I know they are only in here for a solid return on their investment and not for the greater cause but I don't really blame them. Once they hodl and I've specifically told them to have a long-term approach, they sure are gonna read/research about it for the next 6 months. Maybe, this is how they they will believe in it. Maybe this is how we need to educate people around us about BTC. Be persistent and make the change on a personal level.
tl;dr, btc is gaining more momentum around the world than you think.

block reward usually means nothing about price it already halved or even quartered (reward halve, block time doubled) at the KGW fork... and price is down so price should be higher :>? exactly! I think you're right, market is a discounting mechanism and block reward halving is already priced in. Development languishes and DogeCoin coming down hard doesn't help at all. I think we might see 6 satoshi again. Like 6 satoshis would be comparable with previous price. At BTC low price today, yes... I think close to 0.00000030 is where we at if BTC was 1200 again. It does not make any sense at all if you think about it cuz the lower price bitcoin has the higher price should other altcoins have, no? You make the mistake of thinking that all altcoins have real world value. Bitcoin has use in the real world (arguably), and so it is traded against fiat currencies. Because 99% of all altcoins have no use (yet) they can only be traded against bitcoin so their value is tied not to the dollar but to bitcoin itself. Its unfortunate, because everyone who invests in altcoins takes a double hit when bitcoin goes down. Your coins become worth less bitcoins, and your bitcoins become worth less dollars. The exact opposite in a bull market. Your coins become more bitcoins and your bitcoins become more dollars. Been there.

I'd bet everything i own that the ones purchasing cheap coins right now are chinese, and the ones selling are westeners.
There should be a way to get some information on this.. to attempt to figure it out... maybe cannot be 100% direct evidence but reasonable inferences. Maybe a good project for Jorge? You saying Chinese are better traders than Westerners?

Well, we are in a prolonged downtrend regardless of news. so dumps are predictable. News that play on fear just makes the process faster.
Also, don't forget that the "ban" who started the december crash begun with a lot of "rumors" and "FUD" and a lot of people dismissed them yelling "HODL" and shit.
Bottom will be around $400 or even lower.
I really hope this downtrend doesn't last too long.....there's stuff I want to buy. Placing your bets too high.

That is one seriously impressive lineup.

Keep us update with the health of the said dog. Someone mentioned that we should carry this out repeatedly for other animals too. Sounds like a great idea!

I just bought more Kittehs at 4 satoshis. I don't know what you guys are complaining about. I thank the whale for making it so dirt cheap. Remember guys, the whale can't profit if it doesn't go up. So buy them!

I really appreciate what you guys are doing. I was on a vacation for a little while and now I go back to support my Kittehs actively. I'll post an update later too.
