321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REQUEST FOR GAS FEE TO GET PAID ARE SCAM. on: October 05, 2019, 01:29:05 PM
Gone are the days when airdroppers and bounty hunters were making it big in the hunting. Nowadays, a lot of people claim to be working on a crypto project do so just to disguise to obtain funds with ill intentions from the public. Most of these project conduct neither ICO nor IEO. They only call on airdroppers to publicize their tokens in return for payment in the publicized token. They use the airdroppers to build their communities. The hunters refer one another with the hope of getting paid.
The will the get their shock of life when the project team demand for little tokens as gas fee for the reward to be sent. Most of them have big pool of participants who if they should pay, the team easily cart away several thousands of dollars worth of ETH.

I remember what happened with STCDR project, after several weeks of marketing by bounty hunters, during distribution, they created a new token and distributed to hunters saying that the token is a gateway to the STC community and not tradable unless hunters donate some eth so they can list it on exchange. It was ridiculous
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal to leave Libra on: October 05, 2019, 01:16:23 PM
I'm not sure if Paypal left the Libra project will be stopped,
because Libra has the support of more than 20 companies.
it could be that when paypal left there were other companies that would better want to support Libra,
I do not know what the future of Libra is, but I am sure when Libra is launching, then Libra can move CMC rankings of some big coins like BNB or LTC.

Why so? Paypal is not the only strong partner entering the Libra association, there is also, for example, Visa and others.
If more than one major partner left the project overnight, then one could throw such unfounded statements, but for now I see no reason to stop such a large-scale project.
In addition, the reasons for leaving Paypal from the project are not fully known, maybe someone just put pressure on the leadership.
The article clearly says that visa and mastercard are reconsidering their involvement to Libra that means they may leave Libra at anytime and that has a big chance because the current condition of Libra in which in this case is having so many regulation backlash and negative perception.
If a big partner like Paypal is willingly to leave Libra i'm pretty sure that the rest of investors will reconsider their decision and see through what will gonna happen in the future. if you don't believe me you read it on wsj.

The deed is done already as PayPal has left the fold. Reactions of Mastercard and Visa is what we await at the moment because it looks like Libra and Facebook is loosing the Regulation battle with Europe. I hope we get Libra. A fully regulated one because the crypto world need all the positive news it can get now
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Time to Sell Altcoins on: October 02, 2019, 09:47:04 PM
It is difficult to give an exact time when altcoin prices rise in this market.  Almost BTC accounts for more than half of the market, which has dampened the growth of altcoins.  What we need is to hope and wait for the good news from the school.

Exactly. It's too difficult to really tell as there are many variables to consider especially the condition of purchase which maybe at flash dip, IEO/ICO stage, immediately after listing and so on. But most importantly I never cease to sell when I get comfortable enough and in profit. I detest greed
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium 1000 $ is a dream to everyone ! on: October 02, 2019, 09:39:45 PM
Oh my god after the fall down of etherum from 1400 $ to 200 $ what do u think of the soon futur of etherum?! .. my opinion is etherum will get to the top again it's normal when it's so down with every other coin or bitcoin.. can i use patience as a smart solution to get rich with 4 ether now !

About time, HODL your Ethereum tight my guy.
Ethereum is also on the path to recovery, just wait for it.
Sooner or later the Ethereum price will get back to $1400 or even higher.

Do you think it will still achieve its all time high in late 2017/2018? It might just be a pipe dream but we have to be hopeful and believe in cryptocurrency. The sooner it gets adopted the better for us. Also, the Ethereum 2.0 release will address numerous shortfalls on the blockchain and entice more users making price to improve more. Just maybe we will get there soon with this continuous development we witness for Ethereum foundation
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which crypto-currency for investment/trading? on: October 02, 2019, 09:33:28 PM
Safe investment is BTC and ETH, perhaps XRP as well. You wont make any HUGE gains by holding them short term (Like 6 months - 1 year), huge gains like 10x, or maybe even 100x is made investing in low marketcap coins, with real functional products.

Take a look at Blocknet, been in active development since 2014 (So you know they are legit). First project to make a true functional DEX, currently undergoing tons of UI fixes, that will make it even better.
The current trend right now is: KYC, Corrupt Exchanges, Exchange Hacks, Phising, etc..

By investing in a project that builds the literal future - Decentralized trading, I'd say you're putting your money in the right place. Blocknet and it's service nodes running the whole thing will have so much more to offer, but as always, I'd advice you to do your own research Smiley

Heard quite a lot about this Blocknet, the new blockchain of Internet with top drawer use cases and features on blockchain bridging, governance and so on. Seems to be a very unique project and I just joined the telegram group to keep up. I hope they will meet the massive hype
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be used in Money laundering and Terrorism? on: October 01, 2019, 05:19:22 PM
According to the world survey: https://www.loc.gov/law/help/cryptocurrency/world-survey.php

Many of the warnings issued by various countries also note the opportunities that cryptocurrencies create for illegal activities, such as money laundering and terrorism.  Some of the countries surveyed go beyond simply warning the public and have expanded their laws on money laundering, counterterrorism, and organized crimes to include cryptocurrency markets, and require banks and other financial institutions that facilitate such markets to conduct all the due diligence requirements imposed under such laws.  For instance, Australia, Canada, and the Isle of Man recently enacted laws to bring cryptocurrency transactions and institutions that facilitate them under the ambit of money laundering and counter-terrorist financing laws. This is one of the reasons why government will not take the risk on accepting cryptocurrency as global money.

Yes. Crypto, bitcoin was initially used as a legal tender in the dark web world before coming to the surface internet. The decentralized and obscure nature of the teach has made it difficult to track and that makes the government frown at it. Currently, many Exchanges and projects now require KYC to allow a user trade because of these government regulatory laws
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO & IEO investment with professionals. Without SCAM on: October 01, 2019, 05:11:04 PM
Hi guys! I have an interesting idea. I think I know how we are able to stop scam in the ICO & IEO market.

***

What would you think about an ICO/IEO model where venture funds invest with you?

In this model you would not need to worry about fraud, nor poor quality projects. The venture fund will select projects and choose only the most promising. They will also provide a legal framework that will protect the funds of the cryptoinvestors.

The model works as follows:
1. The venture capital fund seeks a promising project.
2. The venture capital fund uses its own professional infrastructure to verify the feasibility of the project and the integrity of the founders.
3. The venture capital fund invests its own money in the project to confirm the quality of the work performed. The size of the fund’s investments is at least 10% of the required amount.
4. The rest of the ICO or IEO is invested in by private cryptoinvestors.
5. Private cryptoinvestors pay a commission to the fund for their services.

Thus, private cryptoinvestors receive:
1. Protection against fraud
2. Quality projects
3. Legal protection of rights
4. Access to the professional expertise of a venture fund

The venture capital fund will receive additional financial leverage and additional profit from the commission. Promising projects will receive money for development. Everyone will benefit. Everyone will be able to earn money.

What do you think about this? Would you agree to participate in such model?

Update.

I answer the discussion questions and discuss the benefits of each idea:

1. IEO has already stopped the scam. Why do I need a venture capital fund? - IEO reduced the number of scam projects but did not completely stop them. In addition, the cryptocurrency exchange does not provide investors with a full-fledged legal structure. A venture fund provides expertise from investment professionals and can perform this task better.

2. Why is a venture fund better performing this task? - A venture fund has more resources and experience than a cryptocurrency exchange or private crypto investor. The venture fund invests its own money in the project, so there is more interest project's success. A cryptocurrency exchange is just an intermediary between the investor and the project. A venture capital fund invests with you and shares your interests.

3. Even without a scam, the project may fail. Can a venture fund protect against this? - No, it cannot. Cryptocurrency projects are risky investments in any case. But the venture fund team consists of entrepreneurs, analysts, financiers and lawyers who use their collective expertise to find and work with quality startups that have a high probability of success. They communicate with each project's team personally. They have an understanding of what they are investing in.

4. What is the main advantage for me as a crypto investor? - You will invest alongside professionals. You will know with certainty that the sharks of the market have entered this project, and you will significantly increase your chances of success.

5. Is it possible to implement such a model? Will venture funds be interested in the model? - Implementing such a model is difficult. But it is possible, and I know how to do it. It requires a lot of resources and time. So first, I would want to make sure that you are interested, and after that, we could proceed to work on an implementation of the concept.

If you're interested, write "This is a cool model" in the comments. If you have questions, then ask them. I'll answer.

It is a novel idea but I think most of these concerns have been addressed already through Top exchange IEOs yet it doesn't necessarily stop the scam, or project bankruptcy which sown the line and ultimately makes members of the community loose funds. Furthermore, leaving investment decision making to a few venture capitalists will spell control which wouldn't go down well will everyone and crypto as regards decentralization
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: October 01, 2019, 04:52:55 PM
this is my current investments. do u have any suggestion

20k$ = BNB
20k$ = ADA
20k$ = EOS
20k$ = XEM
20k$ = NEO
10k$ = XRP

I recall CZ selling his house to buy bitcoin. But you sold your house to buy altcoins. You both are cryptocurrency believers with different approach. If the investment is still recent, please I would suggest you sell 50 percent holding in each of the coins and put it into bitcoin to minimise risks. Not investing in Bitcoin will be a great undoing for you.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Zipmex Is Giving Free $15 Bitcoins on: September 29, 2019, 08:29:17 PM
Looks like it's only for the first 500 customers, and being registered in Australia, the website is almost certainly going to want you to complete KYC verification.

Sell my ID to some sketchy new website for $15? I think not.

Otherwise, simply sign up and withdraw the money, rince and repeat with muliple IP addresses.
I think that nowadays it doesn´t matter where you send your IDs. We have seen that our datas are not safe any more. I am talking about Facebook affair or last Binance KYC hack.  Cheesy

KYCs are not really much of a big deal anymore because hackers can get it even from third party kyc platforms or exchanges just like that of Binance hack few months ago. The most important factor should be doing your best to verify the platform you give it to. Besides, security operatives are now knowledgable of the rampant identity theft happening accross the globe so I doubt you will go to jail for having a random guy use your data to Rob a bank in Mexico while you are in South Africa
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: September 29, 2019, 07:27:52 PM
In my opinion, even on the distribution boards, we are still poor.
After all, no matter what the numbers are, it does not increase the value of the coin and does not accelerate its access to the exchange. So everything is as always.

Most bounty hunters neglect tangible things in bounty hunting which is majorly the substance of a project. The substance is made up of a reputable and sincere team together with good tokenomics. These two guarantee good exchange and unnecessary dumps resulting from ridiculous bonuses
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why its hard to attract investors on: September 29, 2019, 06:53:23 PM
Fraud that happens to ICO, STO, and IEO, I think it will be difficult to eliminate. Because there is no real regulation can set good about the project. Indeed in 2017 many projects were successful and at that time Crypto soon became popular.

Yet many irresponsible people have found a weakness against the ICO project. So they created the ICO just to commit fraud.

Now it is difficult to restore investor confidence in the project. Maybe the process can not happen quickly and need a real project can generate many advantages such as the year 2017. So slowly investors will return.

I believe a huge majority of recent investors are just there for the 10 percent gain and not the belief. The new investors are wary of the numerous IEO scams and volatility of the cryptocurrency market and thus discouraged so we have to fix this first before we can attract investors
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any successful bounty projects since 2018? on: September 28, 2019, 03:05:23 PM
I doubt there will be plenty projects since 2018 still developing and waxing strong. I just had to flash back and I discovered that my wallet Is like a grave yard because 99% is gone except the Quant Network and Carry protocol. They are 2018 projects but distribution happened in 2019.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should the libra project be halted? on: September 28, 2019, 02:54:58 PM
Facebook has acquired Servicefriend, a startup that built bots — chat clients for messaging apps based on artificial intelligence to boost the Libra reach my knowing the usage of consumers.

I hate Libra from the very fact it comes from Mark who has been spying on all users data and using it towards the campaigns in US elections.

To read about the accusation of Servicefriend , you can click this link : https://techcrunch.com/2019/09/21/facebook-servicefriend/

Appatantly purchasing the Israeli chat ware service friend is an indication that Libra will definitely launch. Asides the negative attributes Mark especially In handling users personal data, I think Libra will do more good to for he cryptocurrency space than harm and should not be halted
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Closings bountyhive? on: September 28, 2019, 02:50:58 PM
Many have heard of such a platform as a https://bountyhive.io. The platform was engaged in bounties and paid fairly regularly, although many projects were a big deception. There was news from the chat that you need to enter eos, stellar wallets, as tokens will be sent that the company owes to those who did not manage to enter the wallets on time. Does this mean that the platform will be closed, so new projects are not added to it. Maybe someone has information about the project.

I think it was just a routine to ensure that participants have a their necessary wallets added to bountyhive platform as many people just sign up and don't care about inputing wallets making them loose rewards. Not sure there's anything to worry about
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest my $1.5K? on: September 28, 2019, 02:45:57 PM
i have got around $1500 to invest in coins which coins do you guys suggest to invest in for quick money ? a year ago I have invested in STRAT and Sia and I lost big amounts and regret investing in those coins.

I'm thinking of investing $1k into BTC as its low risk but I would like to risk the the other $500 with a coin that I can make quick money with it

The market is currently down generally and all coins are exactly where i want them to be. I will advice you buy Xrp, eth and eos. 500uad maybe too small for a 10 - 30 percent gains on these coins but I am sure that you won't loose your funds and since you want quick money, these coins are the best best because they are bouncing back from dip in few days to come
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain-based social media worth it? on: September 27, 2019, 10:10:21 PM
They will be worth it in the future as adoption gains momentum. Most blockchain based social media can't be judged as cryptocurrency and blockchain remains in its early stage. The vision and mission is clear and it will only take a bit more time to materialise
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Look For In A Bounty Campaign on: September 27, 2019, 09:52:50 PM
I recently started managing my first bounty campaign, however, its been a few days and we have yet to see any traction.

The project I'm managing the campaign for is currently in their early startup stages, however, they are running on the VeChainThor Blockchain, they are closely related and in collaboration with an existing prominent project, and are set to release their MVP before the public sale is even set to end.

All these are clear indications, at least to myself, that the project is legitimate and seems to have potential to be a great success. So I would have expected to see more traction by now, but I haven't.

So my question to you all, what do you look for in a bounty campaign?
Do you value a project with a better product, or a project that is giving away higher rewards?
Are there any requirements that steer you away from participating in a campaign?

Any insight and feedback would be extremely helpful so that I can adjust my campaign if needed in order to maximize the results.

Thanks!

Allocation distribution is important as well as the token price and support volume if its an already trading coin or token but most importantly to me is, Team. The quality of the team and their developed working product assures me that I won't be working for a project that will fizzle away one month after the bounty
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How many crypto exchanges are really required? on: September 21, 2019, 07:34:08 PM
Now a days, I have observed that out of ten projects three or four are of new exchanges. At the moment there are so many exchanges available for cryptocurrencies. When we invest in other projects and its token got listed in one of the new exchange, we have to create account with that exchange to trade those tokens.
Do you really think that there is a need of so many exchanges? isn't it very complicated and lengthy to keep accounts in many exchanges?
Please share your views.

A large part of the cryptocurrency sphere is not regulated and so people launch as many as possible to enrich themselves and in cases where they need an operational licence, they can get it from Malta or Estonia Wink but I am certain that without SEC licence or approval, they can't operate in the US. Sec is the reason why Bittrex and Binance stopped exchange services for US Citizens to float a detached more complaint exchange to serve the US market
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: OkEx Korea removes all privacy coins on: September 21, 2019, 07:26:36 PM
Seems South Korea is clamping down on privacy coin because of money laundering. I hope this will not be spread to other exchanges because it will not mean well for Monero, dash and cryptocurrency as a whole because it glaringly tells that cryptocurrency has been hijacked by centralised bodies.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Ethereum replaces Bitcoin someday? on: September 21, 2019, 07:18:34 PM
although ethereum is also the biggest coin and also coin number two, if I think ethereum is also not possible to replace the existence of bitcoin at this time, because bitcoin is also the top coin and also the highest value
For ETH to be able to replace Bitcoin, Bitcoin needs to fall very badly, and ETH on the contrary has been doing very good and growing in value, but this is unlikely to happen

Or let's say bitcoin price doesn't fall and maintains its $10000 mark and Ethereum price grew 1000 percent above its current rate at $215, then we will be looking at a general marketcap almost doubling or tripling. I don't see the likelyhood of this scenerio playing out but then we can keep an open mind and have fun Wink
