321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has someone found any btc addy on directory.io with btc in it? on: September 27, 2015, 05:36:15 PM
I have not heard of anyone that has found something.
Have you tried it? I used some help and can confirm that starting 5 pages have nothing in them.

even if you had supercomputers which can scan 1 million pages per second you will need billions of
years to scan maybe <1% of the pages.
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has someone found any btc addy on directory.io with btc in it? on: September 27, 2015, 05:34:20 PM
I recently got to know about it and it's features.

How many pages you have gone through on directory.io in order to find a btc address with bitcoins in it? Huh

the chance is very very very small. So only mathematically there is some sort of possibility. But practically
you have nearly no chance. maybe in 500 years or when we have quantum computers.

regarding directory.io take the following cite:
"1 page worth of your data weighs 12KB as a .txt, and about 8KB when compressed to zip. Call it 10KB to save my poor calculator the embarrassment.

904625697166532776746648320380374280103671755200316906558262375061821325312 x 10000 =
9,046,256,971,665,327,767,466,483,203,803,742,801,036,717,552,003,169,065,582,623,750,618,213,253,120,000 bytes

A double layer blu-ray can hold 50GB = 50,000,000,000 bytes

So every 2 blu-ray disks you send will hold 100GB (again, round numbers = easy math) 100,000,000,000 bytes for 2 discs

So I'm just going to chop the last 4 triplets off that big number up there and get: 9,046,256,971,665,327,767,466,483,203,803,742,801,036,717,552,003,169,065,582,623,750,618 packages of 2 blu-ray disks

The post office would love you, but the Sun is going to burn out before you burn a percent of a percent of those discs

324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain Download on: September 26, 2015, 10:42:59 PM
Could anyone send me a copy of blockchain or tell me where I may be able to find one. I feel that this may save power from my internet and laptop as verification of blocks can be done offline. I already have online accounts with coinbase but am thinking of getting a bitcoin wallet that is more secure.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145386.0

from the thread: "IMPORTANT NOTE:  As of Bitcoin Core version 0.10.0 or later, this torrent is slower than a direct download using the bitcoin P2P protocol & client.  This torrent is now only maintained for research and development purposes as a secondary option.  Please use Bitcoin Core directly to download the blockchain."

i recommend use a light-wallet which dont sync full blockchain (if you don't need full blockchain). light wallets (electrum & co) still are very secure and NOT CENTRALISED like blockchain.info or coinbase..

326  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Coin mixing script on: September 26, 2015, 10:29:26 PM
I am wondering if there is any open source mixing script (Php, Python..) with MySQL logging option (so I can easily analyze Mysql data locally if anything goes wrong) ?

Not that i am aware of.

I am not particularly looking for anonymity, I am interested in just mixing the coins in my local wallet many times randomly so it make tracking them to the original wallet harder than normal.

If you use the "same" bitcoins and only send them from one address to another (or split them and send back to a new addr) - lets say for example 100 times - anybody can see that the coins in the 100th transaction are the same coins from the 1st transaction, so it may only be "harder" (=time consuming) for a total non-technical person to track back. If you want a proper mixing, you need "different" funded key. Then you send your coins to addr X. And the script returns you "other" coins from addr Y to a clean addr you passed via param. So the input used for this new "tumbled tx" is not refrenced to the original coins (which you sent to addr X).

I have been dreaming of having my own whatsup chatting messenger alternative with calling features included, let me know if you can do this.

Hi alwinlinzee, thank you for interest. I am capable of coding a project like you describe but need more information.
With "calling features" do you mean like whatsapp phone calls (VOIP) ?? or the feature where you can record your voice and send it via whatsapp as a sound-file??

or you talking in general about a whatsapp clone with all its features??

thank you,

331  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [GROUP BUY #3][EU] Kialara Physical Bitcoin [CLOSED] on: September 08, 2015, 09:13:38 AM
unlucky me, i first missed the 1BTC Gold exemplar and then the 1BTC Silver groupbuy of mitchell. So i was forced to buy 3 pieces of the 1BTC silver which I now can not await. Think i will use one for a future hackathon price. Smiley

Question: On the maxfield-site it says "[limited edition of 250]". Is that true? Only 250 pcs are made of these,
and there will never be more???

thank you,
ca333
Yes, it's a limited edition and there won't be anymore, ever. I hope you enjoy your Kialara's, they look so much better in person. Grin

good to know & thanks for the info. I really can not await their arrival. Hope to get them soon. But due to the fact that they are limited i think their value will rise in the future. Do you fund your coins? or do you prefer to keep them unfunded?? Whats better for the "collectors value" ??

thank you,
ca333

you should move this into the market section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0)
this section is only for discussion about btc economy, trading, markets, etc.

p.s. have you tried https://localbitcoins.com/ ??

thank you,

#EDIT: as i see you are new in this forum please follow only one important rule: DO NOT TRUST ANYBODY! Always use ESCROW!

In this subboard https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 you find a lot of seller which accept escrow.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How do I create raw Tx using PHP ? on: September 02, 2015, 06:59:37 AM
I have the following data in MySQL table...

Address1 - PrivKey1 - Amount1
Address2 - PrivKey2 - Amount2
Address3 - PrivKey3 - Amount3

I can get the list of unspent outputs from blockchain.info API - https://blockchain.info/unspent?active=Address1|Address2|Address3

Now, I want a php script which will generate the raw Tx to spend all UTXO to an offline destination address, say dAddress, including the calculation of proper Tx fee, i.e. size of the raw Tx needs to be dynamically calculated. Can someone please help me out ?

If this is for production enviroment I strongly recommend to get unspent outputs from
local blockchain (from your btc-node).

For your question: (simple solution)

https://github.com/Bit-Wasp/bitcoin-lib-php
is the library for BTC in php. all key functions are implemented there.

for your raw-tx look in this:
https://github.com/Bit-Wasp/bitcoin-lib-php/blob/master/src/RawTransaction.php

thank you,
ca333

#EDIT: you can also connect to btcdaemon with json rpc and then use bitcoin
functions on daemon. For your purpose you will need: listunspent, createrawtransaction, signrawtransaction, sendrawtransaction

usefull material:
