Happy Birthday NASTYMINING! Happy Birthday NastyFans!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NASTYMINING!

Six years ago I decided I didn't like the way people were selling fixed hashrate mining opportunities and I wanted to do something different and honest that could benefit the community as a whole instead of just the issuer of the asset.  NastyMining was what I came up with and it has come a very long way in the last 6 years.  It is a dream come true to be able to continue working on this project and I thank every single of one of you who has contributed in one form or another.  I hope I am able to continue having fun with my fellow NastyFans for the rest of my life.  Long live Bitcoin.

In honor of this 6 year accomplishment (huge in the Bitcoin space) I am offering a raffle to raise some funds and have some fun.  Enjoy!

Please ensure your KMD payout requests are placed if you have not done yet on the ICO website - the final payout is about to take place. Afterwards the system will be shut down and no more requests will be accepted. Thank you for your patience!

Hello friends, Please notice in addition that due to ongoing developments on the komodo platform the detailed instructions for CEAL payout gonna be public in the coming months. If you want your CEAL payout now please contact me with a DM and add SebastianJu as recipient too - if you still have BTC in the investment pot you will get 100% of it back and your CEAL tokens that you would have bought will still be yours! As a sign of gratutide for your good willingness the current investment amount (~15 BTC) will be refunded to each investor. CEAL will be a 100% self-funded project for knowledge sharing - I do not want to build this vision/idea upon a ICO which would have financial interests for the participants and couldnt allow 100% objective development or pure tech-focus. Removing the pre-funding monetary layer a lot of responsibility goes away from our end we can focus only on tech.

Please have your ceal.io account details available if you want your payout now since you will have to copy a code on the ceal.io website to proof ownership of the ico account. The Agama wallet or any KMD address which you own the private key of can be used for the CEAL token transaction (CEAL is already integrated).

ALL ongoing development efforts are concentrated on DEVSEC. Please check out the DEVSEC announcement for more informations.
This thread is locked - please DM for questions.

Yes correct - the escrow funds from the original ICO are counted first in this coming micro ICO.

Thanks for update, so the existing funds from the original ICO that are in escrow with SebastianJu will be counted first in your max limit during the next ICO?

Is anyone else having problems accessing the ICO swap site? I can get as far as log in page but nothing further than that.

we are aware and working on getting the ICO swap site back online as fast as possible. The BTCD network is slow/limited currently and this unfortunately leads to slow sync times - i am gonna post an update here when we are back online.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]ceal.io - decentralized information and messaging network - crowdfund live on: November 29, 2017, 05:38:18 AM
So is there still plans for the project to go ahead or not?  It's been over year and nothing seems to be going on.
Can you authorize SebastianJu to refund if we request it.

yes plans going on. in case of any refund request please send me a PM and add SebastianJU to Bcc - i will authorize immediately.

i am adding a little update what is plan ref. plans of CEAL? As for the project i prefer to provide something that will really bring a benefit to the humans instead of
just hyping it and running just another ICO. 1. Due to recent investments and market movement i will gladly be able to announce that my participation in this project will be fully volunteer based. micro ICO funds will solely be used for the community, marketing and infrastructural enhancement as well as any external developers. On top of this it is going to be a very limited micro ICO or dICO and due to the high rise in btc value this will be adapted from the current numbers. It should never exceed 0.25 - 0.5 mio USD equiv. and will be set max ~33 BTC.

The new CEAL token distribution plan will be 50% for the ICO investors, 20% for the team and 30% for a Komodosnapshot distribution in exchange for all the benefits we get from the Komodo community and the Komodo Platform technological innovations like atomic swap capabilities, and much more. Especially all features being available at the launch. We also going to announce fulltime developer lead for CEALs future development.

those were just some of the undisclosed informations to clarify in which direction this is moving. I will put this together in a more precise and detailed update and inititate the token distribution and new ICO site relaunch before end of year. For those who are not aware yet. CEAL blockchain is aready online for many months, tokens are ready to be distributed to the users. We have two wallets which support CEAL. CEAL can be used with the barterDEX system and can be fully traded. And many other things! thank you for the patience.

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Six Interesting facts about ICO on: October 23, 2017, 11:46:26 AM
With our dICO invention (decentralized ICO system which is utilizing our available decentralized exchange and zksnark based BTC/alts anonymizing technology) we from the komodoplatform think this field will change radically in the coming months. Given recent events in the legal area of ICOs - this promising tech is solving a lot of existing issues.
I will just quote what James Lee posted back at the end of this summer:

Quote
The most important part of a decentralized crypto coin/asset's lifecycle, the ICO, is centralized. Being centralized it is subject to the whims of goverment decrees about what can and cannot be ICO'ed. As long as you pay the required toll fees, you will be granted a license to sell coins/assets, unless it is deemed that it wont be approved for whatever reason. As far as how long this process takes, well, totally in the hands of whatever government agency is dealing with it.

People should have the right to barter what they own for whatever they want (assuming it is not a universally illegal item). People should also have a right to privacy, or at least a right to not self-incriminate.

Any government is free to proclaim any specific crypto to be totally illegal for its own citizens. However, it is not right that any single government can dictate to the rest of the world what is and isnt illegal. Assuming we can agree on this, we can create a totally decentralized ICO, that also happens to make it exponentially more difficult for whales to gobble up the entire amount for themselves.

A fully decentralized ICO as compared to a centralized ICO would be like torrents versus napster. As much as a government would like to be able to control (dictate) what people can do with their own money, they wont be able to.

There are two sides to an ICO, the offering side and the purchasing side. We will assume that the purchaser is an adult who is capable of thinking for themselves and does not need a nanny state to decide for them what they are able to do with their own assets. Furthermore, invoking the thousands of years old right to barter, it could well be that lawyers can find grounds in common law to supercede the more recent regulations. After all, if you own something shouldnt you be able to barter it for something else? If you are prevented from doing this, in effect, you have lost ownership and if you didnt consent to this, it seems a lot like a theft has taken place.

In case that your rights are being infringed, it should be within your rights to mitigate damages using reasonable means. Like using the Komodo Platform.

The first step is to create funds that are private and only you know how to access. Since you are the only one that knows this, only you can incriminate yourself (if it is indeed against your local regulations for obtaining an ICO). We will assume that you prefer not to self-incriminate nor do you feel like giving up your privacy. What you do with your private funds privately bartering for an ICO, can only hurt yourself in case it is not a good ICO. However, we already covered the part where you are an adult and will do your homework. If the ICO goes bad, you have only yourself to blame. This is crypto.

By using JUMBLR, you can create private KMD to use as you deem.

Now, let us envision a barterDEX orderbook full of the ICO's utxos. You can use barterDEX to barter your private KMD utxos for the ICO's. It is a direct swap without anybody in between. There can be no money transmitter issues if it is your private KMD being swapped directly. Now you converted your private KMD into a private amount of the ICO in a totally private address. Nobody knows this happened except you. This is true financial freedom.

Let us look on the issuer's side. If to use the Komodo Platform's assetchains, it turns out that technically it isnt an ICO at all, as all the coins are issued on the first mined block. This is done privately by the issuer. If running a blockchain and issuing coins to yourself is not legal, well, it seems you are in a totalitarian state and must make plans to relocate.

Now you have all the coins for the ICO, you then split it up into a large number of small utxos and distribute it across dozens (or hundreds) of servers around the world. It is hard to fathom any way that this process violates any laws of any country that respects human rights. In this case, the right to use computers and the internet.

Now we have thousands of utxos of a small enough size to be below any reasonable KYC requirement. Of course, the issuer should have legal representation and a friendly jurisdiction (like Singapore or Isle of Mann) to be the domicile for all the legal paperwork. It might be that an IP based geo-filtering for USA and China might need to be added to prevent citizens of those countries from violating their own laws. We might need all participants to self-certify they are not doing anything against their own local laws or at least indemnify the issuer against any damages.

Now the issuer runs the barterDEX and sets prices for the utxos and as soon as this is done, the people can ordermatch and obtain part of the ICO. However, it is easy to notice that it is not a matter to make one giant whale sized order to obtain the entire amount offered. The global distribution and usage of the barterDEX process limits the number of utxos any single person can obtain at a time. Given a large demand, all diligent participants are expected to acquire a proportional amount to their bids.

Another advantage to the decentralized ICO is that there is an immediate trading market, in fact, it was via this secondary trading market that the ICO was distributed. So all decentralized ICOs will start trading right away.

The Komodo Plaform utilizes is existing technology base of JUMBLR and barterDEX to create a game changing method for conducting a fully decentralized ICO. Monaize will be the first of many such decentralized ICOs.

KomodoPlatform
One simple question
Which windows wallet  can be run offline to create address?
Or maybe there is no komodo wallet thet can be run offline?
p.s.
That one doesn't work https://github.com/ca333/komodoGUI/releases

I believe you can start Agama Wallet even when you are offline. Then just create a new seed, login in Basilisk Mode, and there you will have your KMD address visible.

However, note that there was a bug in the previous version, so you need to logout and login back again to confirm you see the correct KMD address. That bug was fixed in the new release: github.com/SuperNETorg/Agama/releases
I see you can't start agama offline.
For me that strange situation that user can't safly create wallet address.
Not without reason we can find that in bitcoin, litecoin or ethereum but here ?  Undecided

I tested it an managed to open Agama Wallet offline. You must not connect to the basilisk servers at startup. Please use the latest release available in GitHub, there it's turned off by default. github.com/SuperNETorg/Agama/releases

"NOTE: due to major changes in our code base it's required to remove iguana/shepherd folder and config.json file!"
So now tell me what the reason to delete "shepherd folder and config.json file" if when you launch again Agama.exe it creates the same file with the same content.

I see people still have problem to get komodo address from wallet. Don't know how mr. Smith can handle it  Shocked
Was trying to run latest agama offline like u sad it's working for u but not for me. Can you link exactly file you runing?
p.s.
I'm suprised that so simple task like run wallet create addres save privkey can be so complicated

you can test this alternative (swing) komodo wallet if you just need basic functionality you named (create address, receive, send, export privkey, and so on): https://github.com/ca333/komodoGUI/releases/download/v0.7.7-win/komodoGUI_setup.exe
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: May 30, 2017, 07:30:33 PM
It is stable and back in the ledger app manager since more than a week or so. You can safely store your KMD on the ledger nano s and blue.

WARNING

When using the Komodo on Ledger Nano S with amounts >100KMD - it currently does not take your interest into account and if you transfer your KMD (from the ledger wallet) you will lose your interest. The best thing is to keep your KMD on the ledger until we and the ledger team fix this issue. This is no security threat and your Komodos are safe and secure on the ledger wallet.

Do I get Jumblerones if I keep my Komodo in my Ledger Nano S Wallet?

Yes, because you control the privatekeys in the Ledger Nano S Wallet. With that same privatekey you can access the distributed JUMBLR assets
Well,, apparently you canīt have komodos on ledger nano s anymore because the komodo node is unstable for them..

Does anyone know if I Can transfer fiat from an exchange like kraken to uquid account or I only send BTC?

Also, I can see there is a name John Smith on the card. Will it be my name on it if I order the card?

EDIT: LOL guys. I just saw the FAQ. You cannot cash more than 1000 from an ATM. After that They need verification ETC. I think it's pointless to buy it.

that is because of regulatory law - this is very strict in current times.
No it will have your real name on it. These are all the deposit options, komodo is coming:

Hi
I remember 2 years ago it was in BTCD discussion a possibility for an anonymous visa where we could cashout cryptos to fiat from ATMs around the world.
Is there any trustworthy card around?
I found bitplastic but that is a scam as far as I can read.

Thank you

https://uquid.com/komodo-debit-card is the komodo edition - i just ordered. if asking generaly may have look on https://cryptopay.me i had experience with this in the past. but none of are anonymous because of regulatory laws.

just read through this thread again - seems risky thing here. I pmd the seller but got no response. If he is doing it through escrow (ognasty, sebastianju or comparable) then i think i will give it try. Live by the rule to do escrow always (unless you know a seller good)
