Exchange hacked = you get hacked. Exchanges don't keep everything online but still would be a significant loss if it were to happen.

There are more copies now more than ever compared to 2014. No one know whats going to happen, either crypto does become something or it doesn't.

That's called arbitrage and yes it can be profitable but some coins take longer than other to send and some exchanges are restricted to certain country's citizens.
